Roland was just staring at the clouds still, but he had no inhibitions of going back inside after all he had all he needed right now. The wilderness was sort of his home, but he had realized just how much his habits had changed in general. Getting restless indoors and the fact he liked to lay out here underneath the sky as the sun was starting to blaze across the horizon slowly. Even as Roland looked at the beautiful display, he felt a cool breeze wash over his face from the slight edge of the bitterness from the morning. Even as the morning dew on the blade of grass he was lying close to fell down in slow motion, and soon he heard footsteps approaching from the house behind him. It was a relief to hear that Alexis was actually still there, but that was like saying a worker bee would abandon it's own hive just cause of another one bothering it.
Work was a whole different story entirely, speaking of, he soon turned his attention to her. Just thinking if he should dwell on the past anymore, but he no longer wanted to think of the memories of leaving his friends behind. Once that had been dealt with he would feel more conscious free instead of this constant fear of being ditched and left alone again. Roland was the one who had wanted to be alone first, and facing his fear of confronting them first hand was no longer a concern. Only ONE person he was really scared of, but if she was anything like Alexis, she'd forgive him later of course. Smelling the coffee from a mile away, he slowly tilted his head so he was looking at her upside down trying to catch a peek under her robes.
It was merely a game he used to play, but he didn't seem like he was doing anything other than talking to her now as his eyes wandered up her body to her own. Alexis was still as gorgeous as she always had been to him, and he wouldn't trade that for anyone in the world right now. After all, this was the first time he had anything close to a real interaction without talking about capturing someone or even just lingering on events of the past. "Well, sleepyhead, about time you woke up, lovely morning isn't it? So...do you like your job?" he asked her slowly while then taking the cup of coffee as it was offered to him sipping on it after blowing on it a little.

Always seemed to pick her up no matter how tired, and that was even before she took a sip of it. But as she did, she could feel the slightly bitter liquid flow down her through she spread warmth throughout her whole body. Coffee, it was a healer's best friend, she thought to herself as she sat outside on the grass next to Roland. She savoured each mouthful instead of gulping it down like she had seen many of the healers and nurses at the hospital do. She didnt blame them they needed that quick fix to get them started and then needed a coffee every break to keep them going. She knew for she used to be one of those people, starting work at six in the morning and finishing around 2 in the afternoon. Now she could come and go as she pleased.
The peace was relaxing, she thought after a moment. She was very aware Roland was there, but it wasnt an awkward silence, just peaceful.
"Well, sleepyhead, about time you woke up, lovely morning isn't it? So...do you like your job?" Of course, trust a male to break said peaceful silence. She took a sip of her coffee before turning her head to look at him. Well that was a stupid question wasnt it. "If I didn't like my job, i wouldnt get up so early to go in nor would I stay there overtime helping the other healers. I like getting my hands dirty with work, not like a lot of the administrators, i swear they cringe every time I walk into their office with hands covered in blood, or carrying a vial that needs to be taken to the lab, it’s amusing," she spoke, turning her head to look up at the clear blue sky. It was indeed a lovely morning though. They couldnt very well talk about his job, she had already heard enough about what he had done. "Have you any ideas of what you're going to do now that you're back?" she asked, meaning job wise. any and all notes can go here |

Roland was glad he had done something to keep himself occupied, but he didn't like the fact she was accusing him of just asking a simple question. After all, some people could not enjoy their job and still be working there for a long period of time. Although, he could never catch a break when it came to stuff that applied to him, as he took another sip of his coffee merely nodding in response to Alexis. Sure, he had broken the silence, but that wasn't enough to actually hold a conversation. Wondering how they had gotten here, but he wasn't going to actually keep himself from noticing that Alexis wanted silence. Even after working her late shift, but as he was enjoying the brisk air, leave it to her to actually give him a sarcastic response.
Soon as she mentioned a job, he had to consider what he could actually go into, after all he hadn't really thought that far ahead. What could he possibly consider doing that would be fundamental to him? Well, he had been acting like a hit wizard, when he had been on his own, but the journal hadn't been helped lately. Oh well, at least he could just enjoy the view and the scenery for now. Looking at the sky as he leaned back sipping on the coffee again letting the silence set over again. Just to annoy her a little, but he should respond soon as he kept thinking of all the jobs he could do. "Well, as much as I want to avoid them, I think joining the Ministry of magic and becoming a hit wizard might actually be up my alley. You know, I was already sort of acting like one so it's right up my alley," he said to her and then nodded as he took another sip of coffee.
Sure, this conversation wasn't headed in the right direction he wanted it, but he could deal with it. After the mess he had caused, no one would really know what he had done until. Whatever worked for him would work for her he hoped, but he wasn't going to just disappear on Alexis again. After all, he had promised he wouldn't just run off to visit his other friends first, but she should feel honored that he visited her out of all his friends first. Then again, he still had a lingering attachment to her.
