Cadence was finishing setting up shop and had been ready for her first few customers of the day. Of course she had chosen to wear an elegant black dress today that had a nice V-neck in the middle, but it didn't show off her bosom at all she hoped at least. As she wasn't going to start wearing revealing clothing anytime soon, but that was for any nosy person to stick their business elsewhere. A playful smirk tugged at the corner of her lips as she looked at the many boxes around the store, and the many wands on display. It was easy maintaining a store like this, but she had to be careful around them.
One wrong move and she could easily touch one making it drain some of her power into it or the other way around. Today she had worn little make up as she found it annoying at time, just applying the usual light eye shadow to her face. Then putting a little blush on too to give her a more natural look, not that she really needed it. Even as the day progressed, it wouldn't wear off unless some moron decided to try and steal one of the wands. Like she wasn't armed, but that was what made people less wary of her as they didn't know that she could use wandless magic. A quirky smirk appeared on her full red lips, cherry lip stick placed upon them today, and it was the non-stick variety
So kisses wouldn't leave a mark on a kid's cheek if she kissed them for being such a darling. Normally, only the young'uns got that treatment, but she was willing to make an exception for any gentleman that went out of his way to bring her a bouquet of flowers. That had yet to happen, but as she rapped her fingers against the light wood of the desk behind the register. Kicking her feet up on a stool as she picked up the Daily Prophet to read what news was going on today in the wizarding world. All the moving pictures always amused her, but right now she was not busy at all.
Cadence certainly wasn't the type to sit still, but that's why she liked restocking the shelves all the time as soon as a customer walked in as she tapped her black tennis shoes against the ground. Temperance would never understand why she'd wear those shoes with this dress, but even if they were black, it made her beauty stand out. With her long wavy waist-length black hair sometimes changing to a dark brown depending on the angle you looked at her. Yet, recently she had just decided to keep it black, dying it every so often that it was hard to tell that her natural color was a dark brown anymore. Sky-blue eyes looked over towards the entrance, and as the day wore on she had gotten quite a few customers.
Having made her get up to help them out and perhaps use them to destroy the store. Only to repair it later with the use of magic, and she was sure this place had been rebuilt so many times just from magic due to all the havoc many wands have caused these days. As she was starting to close up shop, she left the back door open, and that was the only way Temperance would be allowed in. Considering she hated seeing people see her sister walk in and then bang on the window as she was now closing the blinds just going to relax. Having set up her temporary home in the Wand shop for the moment when she was working during the week so she didn't have to go home right away just to travel all the way back out here.
Even so, she was missing her sister dearly, twirling a strand of hair in her ringer with a long, dainty finger. Her finger-nails were manicured and taken care of quite well. Luckily, she had no bad habits as of yet, awaiting her sister's arrival, eagerly wanting to over load her with her hug and many words that would escape her mouth about how the day went. Snapping her fingers, the blinds automatically shut themselves.

Paperwork was horrible, and there wasn’t anything she hated more than that. Of course she knew that being an auror wasn’t all about going out and catching bad wizards. Just like any other job, there were reports to be filled, and all appropriate measures had to be taken. Obviously when you were young you thought that it would be all about going around, catching bad wizards and putting them in Azkaban. But obviously there was something else you did while you weren’t doing that, and that usually involved sitting at a desk for a set amount of hours. But hey at least she could say that she had managed to land her dream career, and she still loved it. Paper work aside she knew that there was nothing more that she loved than being an Auror. She was in charge of keeping the wizarding world safe and she took that job very seriously, even if things were a little calm right now. But she knew that they were lucky, they were lucky that things were so quiet and that they weren’t off fighting a war with any dark wizards. After all she still remembered the second great war, she sometimes recalled times when her parents would be afraid, of what would happen.
She left the ministry, knowing that she’d be paying her sister a visit today. She knew Cadence would be at the wand shop, and well Temperance was still surprised that she had convinced Ollivander to sell in the first place. But of course when her sister wanted something she usually got it and that came as no surprise to Temperance. All she really knew was that she was glad her sister had found something she truly loved, and that they were closer together now. They had always been separated once she had started school, and then they had only been at Hogwarts together one year before Temperance had gone into Auror training. She was sure that now that they were both done with school, they could basically make up for lost time. Not that the fact that they had been somewhat separated for a while had managed to actually do anything to their sisterly bond. It was as strong as ever, and Temperance was sure that there were no immediate plans to change that. She apparated outside Ollivanders but it was obviously closed so she would probably have to enter the shop from the back. It was the only way that people would leave the two sisters alone, because if they saw her walk in through the main door they would think the shop was still open. As she expected the doors were open and she stepped into the quiet shop, but she didn’t know where she’d find Cadence.
“Hello, is my little sister around here somewhere?” she called with a small laugh.

Cadence was finishing up the last of cleaning up the shop and she wasn't going to just go back there to greet her sister out of nowhere. After all, she liked order to be restored to the wand shop, and it wasn't going to clean itself. Just snapping her fingers as things would move with just that, but she had to utter some words to do so. Having excelled at it during school, she found no need to brandish a wand, but she really had to be careful that she didn't hold one for too long. Otheriwse it had the slightest chance of back-firing upon her, and that was one thing she wouldn't have been able to live with. Cadence was now finally organizing the last of the wands, there were a few with chimera scales behind the counter in some glass cases. Oh yes, those were very valuable, hence why they cost quite a fortune to buy. Yet, it had to fit the right wizard to use it, and if a wand was even slightly off, then it could easily take out your own eye.
Luckily, Cadence was planning on setting up a test range for wizards to actually test them out on magical target dummies that would be indestructible to any damage done to it. If the wand wasn't versatile, then the dummy would just block the spells, but if the wand actually was the right fit. Well, it was all up to the dummies after the whole ordeal of the wand testing as the goal is to actually avoid hitting the dummies to hit a huge target on the wall in the back. Most of the dummies are just to make sure the wand is actually sufficient enough to work, but there have been a few cases where she's sold a few powerful wands. They had taken a nice chunk out of some of the dummies, but she was reluctant to let those wands go due to the nature of the person using it. Cadence didn't like denying kids their wands, and figured everyone should have at least an equal chance. It was fair, and now she was walking towards the back of the stair maneuvering through many boxes and rows of wands.
Having to move shelves aside with magic as she walked towards the door where her sister awaited. Expecting this to be a long visit, Cadence finally rounded the corner and then let a smile adorn her full lips again. "Hey sister, how are you? I've missed you and we have so much to catch up on," she said as she giddily ran up to her, wrapping her arms around her hugging her in what would seem like a death grip until she let go. Tilting her head, she was still smiling lovingly up at her big sis.

People really couldn’t say that Cadence really didn’t love her job, after all she was pretty sure that the wand shop had never been so organized. No offense to Mr. Ollivander who had been a great owner and who everybody loved, but she was sure that they were entering a new era when it came to her sister. But of course this visit was of the social kind, and it wasn’t just to admire her sister’s handy work in her new business. She brushed a strand of hair from her face as she waited for Cadence to greet her and it wasn’t long before her sister came over and pulled her into a hug. Temperance was sure that it was rare to have siblings who had such a large age difference actually get along, especially two girls. But she knew that there was no one that she loved more than her baby sister, and she was one of the few people that she would willingly risk her life for. Well actually that was a bit of a fib, as an auror she had to give her life for a lot of people willingly. But Cadence had always been one of the few people that she had always wanted to protect, to make sure nothing bad ever happened to them. Most people would think she was being overprotective, but Temperance just felt like that was how you were supposed to be with your sister.
“I’ve been great, how are you?” she asked as she gave her sister a smile.
You really couldn’t see their similarities, Temperance felt she looked more like her father with the hair color, and that Cadence looked more like their mother. They both shared the blue eyes, and that was the largest indication that they were siblings. Well their skin tones helped too because both women were both very fair skinned and well it was yet another indication of them being siblings. She took a peak at the store, wondering what new improvements Cadence would be making to the store. There had to be certain thing that could be changed when it came to children getting their wands. She could remember that she had managed to nearly destroy a whole shelf during her first visit to this place. Of course Ollivander had told her that there wasn’t anything to worry about and that it happened often. Temperance had always thought that they could have tested out the magic against something else, instead of just flicking the wand and almost destroying the shop. Especially given its importance, nonetheless her sister was probably one of the only people to be equipped to bring appropriate changes to the shop. She massaged the back of her neck slightly as she turned her attention from the shop to her baby sister. She had been sitting in the office for far too long, and she was glad to be walking around and doing something that didn’t involve insane amounts of paperwork. Really she sometimes found the amount of paperwork they did to me very tedious.
“So what are you doing in there?”She asked, “Having fun organizing your lovely new shop?”

Cadence was glad her sister was here, and considering their relationship it was hard to do stuff without her lovely big sister. Even right now, she was just to the point of wanting to go out on the town with her while she was off of work, but she knew how busy she was at times. Yes, Cadence's job was probably more fun compared to hers, but she really didn't care what was happening at this moment. Even if it was just to visit with Temperance, and the store was still in prime condition for now, but yes she had definitely done some upgrading on it. Adding a little home touch to it by putting up some pictures of her family near the front desk.
It made it feel more like she was home, and didn't need to actually do anything worthwhile. "Well, sis, you're certainly moving up in the world, surely you're job isn't as boring as mine is. Yet, I can't say that I'm not enjoying it here, and it's going well. Just added a new training area to it for students to test their wands so they don't end up blowing away half the store," she said as an amused smirk came to her full lips. Making her exquisite skin pull up into the radiant beauty that she obviously was. There were no two hotter sisters than them, at least that's what she thought, after all even her own arrogance was bliss at times.
Cadence wasn't going to be taken by some second-rate wizard who couldn't tell the difference between shoes and a rock though. Of course, even making small conversation in her own wand shop was rather uncomfortable, considering she didn't want to be here any longer. If there was one thing she wanted it was a nice hot bath. Moving further back she then snapped her fingers making the back of the store transform into a little hut. Oh, how she loved magic, and it's many wonderful uses. Cadence honestly didn't really like showing off her wand-less magic, but for a while she had pretended to use a wand for most of her magic so that her parents wouldn't scold her to bring one with her everywhere. "Oh, there's still some stuff that needs to work out, but yes I'm loving it, I couldn't see myself doing any other job right now," she admitted.
Eventually, she got fed up and just snapped her fingers to prove what she could do, probably the one thing that set her off was being compared to her sister. Sure, she was an auror, but Cadence didn't want to follow that path despite being able to say that she'd give her life for her in return.

“Please tell me you are being sarcastic because doing paperwork all day is not my idea of a fun job” she said with a small laugh, “Especially when I have to deal with Charles’ rubbing it in that he gets to train the new aurors and I don’t”
She rolled her eyes at the thought, yes she didn’t get to train the Aurors but she would most likely be the first person alerted if there was a rough job to be done. After all she was in the office all day and therefore she was very aware of what went on, and of course everyone knew that she was great at her job and therefore no one would doubt in sending her off to do something risky for the ministry or something along those lines. But Temperance really couldn’t complain she loved her job, even if it did involve a lot of paper pushing right now. But she also had a lot of time on her hands, and most of her coworkers were fun to be around. In all reality she would even admit to tolerating Charles, just because he was one of the reasons she kept alert most of the time. She hated to be outdone by him, and well that had always made her try a little harder when it came to her studies and just things she did in general. She really was so competitive, but she was only competitive with him which was stupid, and she knew it but there wasn’t much she could do about it now.
She smiled though, because she knew that her sister did seem to enjoy her job. She was impressed that Cadence had enough common sense to add the training area, it definitely would save her a lot of problems of cleaning up any damages that children made when coming to get a wand. This was one of the reasons she knew her sister had made a good choice in her career, though she was certain that Cadence could do whatever she wanted. Considering how adept she was at wandless magic, well it opened a lot of possibilities for her. Sure Temperance could do a lot of impressive things, but that wasn’t something she could do. She trailed after her sister as she closed everything up, and smiled when she turned the back into a little hut. Definitely more comfortable for catching up with Cadence, and no one would even be able to see them. Even if she did doubt that someone would actually come knocking this late at night, but some people were weird like that. They would think a shop was open, when it really wasn’t and they just stepped right in. She rolled her shoulders slightly glad that she was able to move around a little because she had been stuck behind the desk all day. She was actually just hoping she would get sent to capture some wizard, but no it had been quiet lately so she was stuck inside the ministry most of the day.
“Well I really love how it’s coming out, you will most definitely bring Ollivander’s to a new era” she said with a smile, “So what do you want to do tonight?

Cadence idly snapped her fingers again as the dust in the store out to the entrance while she stood there, eagerly grinning towards her big sister. Something she could do that she couldn't made her feel pretty proud, but that wasn't the only reason she had called her over. After all, Temperance had always been the one to encourage her to try something new on her own and not always follow in her big sis's footsteps. Ever since they were little and she had gone to Hogwarts without her, little baby Cadie always wanted to grow up to be just like her until she heard about Ollivander's wand shop. The place where she first got her wand and all the many questions she had asked her big sister about why the shop didn't have a practice area so that it didn't destroy it.
Even so, she was quite the paranoid one when she wanted to be and even believed the stories that Ollivander had scared her with until her sister told her they weren't real. One particular one being wand bugs that came out of nowhere to suck up the energy from your wands and steal it's power to lock it away forever within the bug's body. Then the only way to get it back was to use a jinx on it, but Cadence thought it was dumb that you needed to use a spell when you didn't have a wand. So, she took it upon herself from that moment forward to learn wandless magic. Even though it took her a while, it was an accomplishment she wasn't going to boast about.
Only Temperance got to see her use her wand-less magic, and it was rare at that normally. Right now, even as she had finished dusting the place she smiled back to Temperance giving her a knowing smile. "Well, sis I'm thinking we could go out on the town or chill here to play a game of Wizard's chess. Of course if that doesn't suit your fancy I'm up for a little bit of shopping," he said to her freely.

She watched as her sister tidied up, glad that the wandless magic came so easy to her. Temperance had always been too focused on being the best to attempt some sort of special ability. She was pretty good at nonverbal magic, but then again once you reached a certain age it became easier. She wanted to attempt the talking patronus, given that few people knew how to do this but she hadn’t been able to pinpoint just who to ask about this. Either way she was proud of her sister’s accomplishments and she had a feeling that they would help her keep the store in top shape. After all she could say that in the time that her sister had taken over Ollivanders it was slowly changing from the wand shop she had stepped into all those years ago. She remembered wrinkling her nose slightly when she was little because it had been rather dusty, no offense to Mr. Ollivander because he had been a great wandmaker and Temperance respected him but she often wondered why the man didn’t dust often. It was probably because he had felt that the dust gave the store some character, or whatever older people tended to say when faced with those types of questions, either way Temperance rather enjoyed the way her sister was fixing the store.
Both options sounded rather appealing, and she had to admit that she probably could use some shopping time with her sister. She had been wearing such vast different clothing to work lately that she wasn’t sure what would be appropriate anymore. She tried to keep it professional, but there were only so many days you would wear a skirt or dress before you went crazy. Temperance liked wearing jeans, they made her feel ready for action, but given that most of the other aurors tended to dress nicely, well she felt she had to as well. If it was up to her, she’d wear jeans, some boots, and a nice top to work and leave it at that. Of course when she went out to do things that required her to be more comfortable than fashionable, she was able to use her jeans, and her tops. So shopping for some more skirts, just to have a little bit of variety would be good. Plus she had never been particularly good at chess, she had never won a single game. She had played a lot during her years at Hogwarts, but she had never developed a love for the game, as other seemed to. It was probably because Temperance had her goals, and her focus, and well wizards chess had never fit the bill for her aspirations. She was pretty sure her sister would demolish her in a few seconds anyway, so they could have sisterly bonding time over shopping. Then maybe grab some dinner, even a drink before heading their separate ways for the night. Actually the more she added to the plan, the more appealing it became, she just hoped that her sister would think the same.
“I think shopping sounds more ideal, you’d kill me at chess in two seconds” she said, “We can probably go to dinner, or a drink afterwards. So if you are okay with shopping, let’s go shopping”

Cadence almost understood her sister like she was some sort of easy bake oven that was just waiting until that lovely ding sound appeared to indicate the food was done. Although she never really had the courtesy of owning one due to their upbringing, but even the wizarding toys were just as fun in the wizarding world with the many uses of magic. Funny as it may seem, it was weird how most of the world just seemed to co-exist with wizards in the long run, but now they had many underground dwellings that hid people from everyone. The Ministry of Magic was huge, and even buying this shop had surely made business a lot more booming than usual. It was really hard to maintain a dusty store with a woman running it.
Especially since Cadence always paid attention to the small details and yes she had coughed the first time she had been handed a wand too. Peculiar as it was, she felt like she was too powerful to even hold a wand or let her power surge through it. Of course soon as the word shopping was mentioned, shoes instantly popped into her head, the skater-type of shoes. Not high heels, and she remembered the one day she had vehemently argued with Temperance about that. Sure, she didn't mind her sister wearing them, but Cadence would never, ever wear them even for a wedding. Finding them too hard to walk on and it killed her balance also too.
Cadence hated feeling off-balance since her center was her whole, and having a level walk was alright with her, even if her stride could appear to be rather persuasive at times to boys ogling her. It was just a flirtatious gesture to keep their tongues panting but now she looked at Temperance, smiling warmly. "I'm fancying some shopping right now, let's go look at some clothes and shoes...not high heels, you know how much I hate them," she said the high heels part disdainfully and was soon on her way to the back door beckoning Temperance to follow to see what awaited them that eve.

She laughed at her sister’s response, she did know that Cadence didn’t like heels. She had always found that trait a little cute, just because she had no issues wearing nice clothes but she would never wear heels. Temperance had liked wearing heels just because they made her appear taller and well she had always liked them. Even now, she didn’t like wearing flats unless it was necessary. Obviously she was careful about the type of heels she wore, the last thing she needed was to kill herself running after some dark wizard because she wasn’t wearing appropriate shoes. But other than that, she felt that heels tended to go well with whatever it was she was wearing. Either way she found it kind of humorous that her sister didn’t like heels, though she understood her reasoning. According to Cadence, heels made her feel like she was unbalanced, which would make sense when you had no practice in them. But Temperance herself found it easy to be balanced when wearing heels, she felt it actually helped her balance because she knew just what amount of pressure to add to the shoe. Even though she knew she was far from capable of being able to snap a heel, it wasn’t impossible.
“Yes we all know you don’t like heels” she said, “The whole it throws you off balance and all of that”
It was a teasing manner, she knew that it was just her sister’s way. And Temperance would never do anything to change a single thing about Cadence because every little quirk the young woman had, made her her. She brushed a strand of hair from her face as she smiled at her sister. She wasn’t sure where she would want to go shopping, there were so many options that Temperance herself was unsure of where to go. She motioned for her sister to follow her out of the store, just because it was starting to feel a bit creepy to her. She could very vividly remember her first visit to this shop and for some reason it was creeping her out. Maybe it was weird to think she was ever that small, and to think that there had been a time when she had no idea how to control her magic fully. A time before Hogwarts, a time before she had decided to become an auror. Not that Temperance minded it, after all the little girl she had been at eleven had an effect on the woman she was at thirty. She was successful, she loved her job, she had a wonderful family. Her sister was a talented witch and the two were as close as ever. Everything was fine and peachy but for some odd reason an extended stay in Ollivanders wasn’t helping her think of happy things. It was helping her remember the amount of wands she had gone through to find her faithful companion. Even though she was sure her sister loved her shop, and didn’t at all think of her first visit at Ollivanders, that didn’t mean that Temperance couldn’t.
“Now let’s get out of here, I’m getting weird eleven year old flashbacks and I’d rather not encourage that” she said with a laugh.

Cadence had bonded with her very first wand actually, which is why she really didn't mind owning this wand shop as terrible as some people made it sound. Even with a target practice area for people to test out their wands. Yes, the changes were immense, but one thing at a time as she just received a shipment of rather are chimera scale wands...but they were only fragments. Surely not popular among many students, but she had to leave their options open, but she hadn't seen many students going for the ones that were said to be attuned to death eaters. Although the exotic ones she had were far in the back shelves that only she could actually access as some of them were incredibly potent.
Amusing as it may sound to her, she knew most of the cores had their own special qualities, but there were even the few that were hard to find. Cadence had considered making her own in the process with some creatures that no one would ever think of, but she doubted they would last long. Mainly just the common ones like pixie dust or some strange thing like that. Despite how hard it was to acquire, and yes her quirkiness was what made Cadence herself. Or so she heard a million times from everyone in her family whenever she started to complain about high heels. Cadence wasn't surprised when she made a comment about her hatred of those wretched, accursed things.
Yes, she called them things, the horror, the terrifying agony of probably reading that, but she had no quarrels about it. Cadence could argue and make at least 20 different reasons why they were horrible, but her ranting mode had been turned off when her sister had said that. Crossing her arms casually as if giving her a warning to tread no further or induce the wrath of Cadence Fairchild, yes she did have a rather stoic position being her younger sister. That didn't mean she was to be messed with at all, but soon she was laughing childishly as she made her way with Temperance to the back of the store. Cadence soon opened the door as she locked it behind them using a wizarding charm by snapping her fingers and obviously speaking the words since she didn't quite know non-verbal magic yet.
Something she had been practicing on her spare time as well was non-verbal magic, but it was much harder to master than she previously thought. Either way, she was now outside the shop and then got an idea. "So how about Twilfitt and Tattings to look at some clothes? Minus the shoe isle," she said teasingly to Temperance knowing she liked wearing heels while Cadence would remain with her good ol' regular running shoes or tennis shoes. Even going as far to wearing sandals during the summer days.

It was funny to think of how much her sister disliked heels, just because she didn’t like the feeling of being off balanced. It was hard at first, when she had first started wearing them she had felt odd but she had grown accustomed to them. Obviously she knew that they weren’t appropriate for some occasions, say when you were catching dark wizards but most of the time she was fine. Even though she didn’t need the added height, she liked wearing them just because they looked nice. But she was not opposed to flats, or even tennis shoes when she was wearing jeans. It was weird for her when she wasn’t wearing something with a heel on it because her steps were too silent. It made it ideal for sneaking, but still she found it odd. Nonetheless she knew that the whole shoes aspect was not something she would be discussing with her sister any time soon, after all Temperance knew when to stop talking about something in particular. It avoided a lot of sibling conflict, and if she was honest, she hated the idea. She had never been one to be jealous of her little sister, and there had never been a large rivalry between the two, at least on Tempe’s side. So she knew to avoid specific topics that would annoy her sister.
“No shoes, sad” she said with a small laugh, “I guess it’s a good thing I don’t need any of those”
She had a lot of shoes, and she knew it. You wouldn’t think by the way she acted, and her job that she would be all that set on high heels, skirts, dresses and everything that gave off the idea of being exaggeratedly feminine. But Temperance liked those things, just because she liked them. She didn’t like them because it was expected of her, though she was careful about how she dressed in the office now, but still you would find a variety of things in her closet. She did wear everything from pants to dresses, and she wasn’t one of those people who just bought clothes or shoes and never wore them. Obviously there were certain items that completely outnumbered other items in her closet, but that tended to happen when you wore a lot of jeans. After all she spent most of her free time in jeans, just because she never knew when she would be called into action. She was lucky that given the silence of the time, she could feel comfortable wearing a dress to the office, even though she did keep a spare change of clothes in her desk. She was nothing if not prepared, it was probably her most comfortable outfit, and she knew that she would be able to change in an instant should she need to. Still she gave her sister a smile as she ran a hand through her hair, getting a few strands out of her face. She would have pulled it up, but she had no hair tie, and she was pretty sure it looked better down anyway.
“After Twilfitt and Tattings, I say we go eat something, I haven’t had any real food since lunch and that was about noon” she said, “Then we can keep shopping or, we can go back to my place and find something to do there”

Cadence didn't want anyone thinking twice about what she was going to be doing with Temperance, the one sister she had left in the world. Odd as that sounded it was totally true, even if they were just going to look at clothing. Trying it on was usually the fun part, mainly to see how many guys they could get to stare at them before Cadence would act like she was more than buddies with her sister. Just to keep them away from her, but she admired the bold few that did approach her when she wasn't acting flirtatious or hard to get for that matter. There were times when she just wished her beauty would leave her for a whole day at least without some male hitting on her.
It was rather rare for a women to hit on her, but she did enjoy that as much as the next girl. Preferences to both sexes, she'd have to say she'd be more biased towards males, mainly due to her thinking that they all have the same problem. Thinking with a certain body part than their brains usually didn't impress Cadence one bit, and here she was about to go look at shoes. Glancing down at her own feet, she reminded herself it was clothing they were going to look at, and then eat apparently. Cadence's stomach growled when she heard Temperance mentioning food. Cursing her slightly, but kept it to herself since she knew that would have happened one way or another.
"Well, one way or another we're going to go to that store before we eat, no complaining out you, young miss," Cadence let out one of her hearty chuckles that made her seem like a total fool at times. Giggling like a little girl, she finally just kissed Temperance on the cheek, obviously over-joyed to spend more quality time with her. "You'll never guess what happened the other day!" she added a little clap to that one, and brought her hands up to her face in appalling shock to reveal how important this was.

She knew that a lot of people enjoyed the prospect of shopping, and Temperance did too. It was fun to try out clothing, especially when she did so with her sister because she could trust Cadence to tell her the complete truth when something truly did not look good on her and vice versa. It was nice that they had such a nice relationship, and she was pretty sure her parents loved that as well. After all Temperance could still remember that her parents had always been scared that Tempe would resent Cadence because of the fact that she had been an only child for so long, and then her little sister came along. But she had been so grateful, because if her parents wouldn’t have given her Cadence she would have been a very sad child. She had always been envious of those children who had so many siblings and always had someone to play with. She even thought that when they fought it had to be fun, just because of the whole idea of making up. Yes she and Cadence fought but it was never something so bad that they stayed mad at each other long, Tempe could never stay mad at her baby sister.
“Yes I know we have to go get pretty clothes before we can think about anything else” she teased with a smile.
She knew that her sister was probably hungry herself, and that’s why they wouldn’t spend too much time shopping. She had a basic idea of what she wanted, she just hoped that the store carried things that she would actually want to wear to the office. She laughed when her sister kissed her cheek, Cadence was always so contagious with enthusiasm, and it made her wonder how more people didn’t flock to her. She was pretty sure if she wouldn’t have been so driven during school she would have developed a personality much like Cadence. Not that her sister wasn’t focused, but she was always the more relaxed of the two, and Temperance had always been too focused and competitive to care about having fun. Not that it was the case now, she loved to have fun now, and that’s why she enjoyed quality time with her baby sister. Probably one of the few people on this earth that actually understood her inside and out. She let out another laugh when her sister said something about something she wouldn’t believe that had happened the other day. The little clap had made her look so much younger, but that’s what made it so endearing. She was curious as to what could have happened to garter this type of reaction from Cadence. It had to be something very interesting to make the young woman so excited. She brushed a strand of hair from her face as she stepped over a puddle that she would have walked into had she not been paying attention. She was wearing okay shoes for the possibility but she still didn’t like the idea of stepping in a puddle.
“Oh I don’t know did a fairy come visit?” she teased, “I don’t know, tell me what happened the other day. I’m all ears”

Cadence finally lightened up a little more as she soon looked back at the store as she shooed Temperance out in a quick shooing manner with her lips moving as she did so. Looking at her store, and hearing the wands speak to her as if she knew exactly what they were saying. It seemed she knew a lot more than she liked to let on, especially with what kind of person each is. Normally it was that way, but allegiances were hard to place these days especially when she had dark wizards try to come in to her shop sometimes. Those were easy to get rid of since she could just snap her fingers without having to worry about grabbing her wand, and many were on edge cause of her ability.
It was great knowing they were frightened of her wandless magic, but she'd need time to practice non-verbal magic at some point. Hopefully she'd get the chance to soon, but that was not important. Doing a twirl after closing the shop and snapping the lock shut on it without even touching it, although had to say the incantation that even Alohomora wouldn't open it at all. Surely that was a fail-safe way, but even so there was an intricate wizard security alarm installed too in case anyone attempted to break in. Cadence had indeed done a number to the store for the best, and she had hated those musty old boxes when she first had taken it over.
Ollivander should be damn proud that she changed it around so much, but it's not like anyone would ever appreciate her efforts. Finally speaking to her after she had said that, "I met a cool guy, he's a hit wizard and works near the same department you do I think...Peter something...know him? she asked her curiously. Clicking her teeth together thoughtfully as she decided to jump into a puddle that had just recently formed to splash her sister in a playful gesture. Knowing how proper she liked to make her clothes look, but Cadence was always the one getting her dirty. That was the annoying part of Cadence, but if she put up with that then everything else was fine.
"How'd you know? You know everything about me, and yes let's go before you start dawdling as usual," she teased her sister in return.

She smiled as her sister shooed her out of the shop, and she gave it one last glance before stepping out into the chilly air. She knew that sometimes it was still weird for her to think that her sister owned a wand shop. She had always had great hopes for Cadence, and she had been so proud when her sister had told her she had managed to get Ollivander to sell the shop to her. And she had watched as she made improvements to the shop and she was now running it more efficiently and it made her proud. It was the one thing that Temperance knew, and it was that her little sister was great and that she did great things. She was glad that they didn’t have to deal with any of that idiotic sibling jealousy because Temperance was always proud of what her sister did. She found being jealous pointless because everyone had different strengths and parents loved all of their children the same no matter what their children believed. And she had been an only child so long, she had welcomed the new addition to the family, and if she was honest, Tempe knew she was one of the luckiest big sisters in the world.
“I probably know him more through appearance than name, and the department is kind of large” she said, “I haven’t met a lot of the hit wizards, only the ones that hang out with aurors the most”
She was also pretty bad at paying attention to all of that, she was usually so focused on her job that she tended to forget there were other people in the office. Well to an extent, the specific person she always tried to outdo, she paid attention to but that was about it. Obviously she paid attention to her other co-workers but it didn’t go as far as to the other members of the law enforcement department, after all she didn’t even know half of the hit wizards just because she really didn’t associate with them unless she had to. A few of them had attitude problems which of course irritated Temperance because she knew that they all managed to maintain the wizarding world a safe place so she knew they all did their part. She let out an appalled gasp at her sister, obviously in a teasing manner, at her comment. She was never one to dawdle, but sometimes she did walk a bit slower when she didn’t feel like there was a rush in whatever they were doing. But she knew that they would have enough time to do everything they wanted to do and still have extra tie to catch up. It was one of the reasons she loved spending time with her sister, whatever they did, they always had a lot of fun. She knew that it was a rare thing, to actually have fun with your sibling on every occasion, but that seemed to be the case for them.
“I do not dawdle, I just move at a slow pace sometimes” she pointed out, “But of course I know everything about you, I’ve known you since the moment you were born, remember”

Cadence was thinking a little too much for her own good again, but she knew that Temperance wouldn't ever hurt her for making fun of her shoe choices. Making fun of her for having some of those high heels was in her job description and soon looked about at the many other stores. Surely they were still open since Cadence had decided to close up shop early to spend more time with her beloved sister that she could have just spent forever with. No need for room to actually procrastinate what was about to come with the shoe shopping and the squealing little girls over new shoes. Cadence was all too familiar with that from little kids trying out their wand for the first time and how they cried whenever it wouldn't go the way they wanted it to. Sighing softly she had to put her hands in her pockets to stop thinking about her job for a change.
"Okay, so after shoe shopping we go raid the ice cream store and get as fat as pigs cause that's what all cliche women do!" she said joyfully and pretty much with sarcasm lacing every part of her sentence. Chuckling softly as she hip hopped along beside her sister like a little kid and definitely needed to cut back on the sweets with how over-joyed she was just hanging out with her sister of all people. Just looking left and right as she crossed the path towards the entrance of Twilifts and tafting or whatever the hell the place was called she looked around for the owner before deciding this place wasn't worth the time at all.
Holding her nose up high she pretended to walk around as if she were some upper class lady, mainly to embarrass anyone near her at the time, but she soon just found an adorable shirt. Squealing with joy she did her little giddy boot-dance before shoving it into Temperance's face before she could even get two feet into the door. "LOOK IT'S GOT A KITTIE ON IT I WANT IT!" she said to temperance, obviously overly exaggerating when she didn't need to make a big deal out of it.

She wasn’t sure why she was such a girl when it came to shoe shopping, probably because even though she loved to wear boots and just comfortable shoes she liked to wear heels too. It gave her height, even though she was aware she did not need it, and well she felt graceful enough that if she didn’t kill herself in them it meant that she had some semblance of grace. But then again that was a rather silly idea because you could be graceful without really wearing heels, maybe it was just as she got older she turned into that stereotypical girl, who knew really. Either way she realized that the activity they were going to do wasn’t really all that important to her right now. She liked spending time with her baby sister, no matter what they did, if she was honest. Well just as long as it wasn’t something completely off the top. But she knew that Cadence would never suggest something that they didn’t both enjoy, after all what would be the fun in that. She turned to her baby sister as she talked about going to raid the ice cream store and she let out a small laugh. She knew that ice cream sounded like a good idea, though her metabolism was good enough that she could eat basically anything and not really gain weight.
“First of all you know that we won’t get fat as pigs over ice cream, at least I know I won’t” she said with a laugh, “But ice cream sounds good”
If anyone saw her sister they would probably swear she was on some sort of medication, but of course it was just the sugar intake that she had. Her sister had a penchant for sweets, and she could be found snacking on them at all times of the day so it explained why she was basically bouncing around like a ten year old girl. But she didn’t blame Cadence, after all she dealt with children all day (unless an adult managed to break their wand then they were usually older), so you had to have a high energy level for that. If she was honest she wasn’t sure if she had that much energy to waste on children, she imagined they were like little energy suckers, you couldn’t help but get tired when you were around them as an adult. They finally got to the store, and she could see Cadence looking around for someone but she wasn’t sure who. She turned her attention to a few pieces of clothing that were close to her, as she tried to find something that would be nice for work. She hadn’t even noticed how silly her sister was being silly until she found a shirt being shoved in her face. She took a step back as a reflex as she turned her eyes from the shirt to her sister, who looked over excited over the fact that the shirt had a kitten on it. She could feel the eyes of the other shoppers on them, but she gave the closest one a glare and the lady quickly looked away.
“Okay but you don’t have to yell Cadence” she said with a small laugh, “My goodness if you get excited over a kitten on a shirt, I wonder how you’ll get if you see a puppy on a sweater”

Cadence was merely bouncing and jumbling the shirt in her hands as she frowned at Temperance like she was a party pooper sauntering off all dramatic like with her feet dragging too. Then perked up when she did see a puppy on a sweater, and beamed even more at that, however, she refrained from shoving that one in Temperance's face too. Getting an evil idea, she idly swayed her way towards one of the shoe racks on the other side of the store near the women's section of course. Making it look rather innocent and then picked up one of the high heeled shoes that looked rather ridiculous in size to just be a high heel shoe, looking more like a stilt shoe.
"Temperance I found a shoe for you, I think it will go well with the act that you use to walk on those high heels. I mean, you aren't freakishly tall for no reason right?" she chuckled as she said it then put them back after letting her see them as she lifted them in the air. Most of the store was aware of her rather abrupt and bubbly nature. It wasn't every day you met someone who could turn shopping into a rather interesting time, but that was Cadence in a nut shell. Fun, and ever-lasting energy for eternity as she did a little twirl with a pair of rather rainbow-like skater shoes in her hand. Not normally something a wizard would choose out, but like we said, this was Cadence.
In her own mind she was a goddess, and whatever she wore looked good on her without other people's opinions taking their toll on her. For if they had an opinion she'd tell them to stuff it by sticking her shoe in their mouths or the one she currently had and start screaming pervert. Oh, that was fun to do too, causing those little pranks on certain people that were very unsuspecting until they felt some strange sensation dripping on them. Usually eggs or tar that was stuck with feathers. Cadence had many years to practice that art, but it made it even more unpredictable when she snapped her fingers saying a spell.
It was almost like it was free shopping whenever she did that giving people a show just cause she could do that. Non-verbal magic was a work in progress though and she didn't hope to just learn it right on the spot just like that. Whatever the case may be she merely nodded to Temperance, "Some of them do, I've seen it happen especially if you eat the wrong kind of candy," she puffed up her cheeks to show an example pointing at herself. 'See?" she said to her. Obviously, she had just proved something to Temperance, best to let it go while she could.

She chuckled as she watched her sister walk away, knowing fully that she was only being a slight drama queen. Temperance often found her enthusiasm about certain things to be quite adorable, though it had startled her a bit to just have the shirt thrust at her merely because it had a cute furry animal on it. It did help that even though she found the idea of kittens adorable, along with puppies and just about any other baby animal, the idea of having them on her clothes didn’t really enthuse her. She was more interested in the colors, the texture, and other things like that. But she still believed that it was adorable that her sister could get so happy over something like that, even if people were looking at her like she was demented. She continued down the aisle where she had been standing and she touched a silk top that was a deep shade of navy. She loved the color blue, most people believed that it was because it made her eyes pop out, but she could actually appreciate the color in itself. She didn’t get the chance to wear a lot of blue now, just because of the whole most of her skirts and tops were dark colors. She turned her attention to Cadence who was speaking once more and had in her hands a rather ridiculously sized shoe.
“No thanks Cadence, I’d prefer to not have my neck broken by my shoes” she said, “Maybe it’ll work for someone who is shorter though”
Either way her eyes were sparkling as she said this to her sister, an obvious sign that she was just joking around with her. She decided to grab the silk top as her sister found other shoes that interested her more than the sweater. She knew that she’d have to get a few more skirts, and probably some pants too, obviously not jeans because that wasn’t something that was dress appropriate for now. It was weird for her because she had grown accustomed to such a relaxed dress code during training, and even during Hogwarts that as soon as they put them into the Ministry that it was obvious they had to dress nicely. She moved to a different aisle, still keeping an eye on her sister (it was a habit of hers, even though she didn’t get to be around Cadence a lot when she was growing up, it wasn’t something she didn’t learn) mostly because it amused her to watch her sister and just because she liked to see the way the young woman moved around. Most of her sister’s movements reflected her personality, they were full of energy and of course it made it obvious that Cadence herself was full of energy. She brushed a strand of hair from her face as she perused the skirts in the other aisle as her sister responded the comment about the candy. It was true if you did eat the wrong kind of candy you did end up getting a little larger, but of course candy wasn’t something she ate a lot of.
“Oh please Cadence we both know that you are really thin, so even if you ate all kinds of candy you’d manage to stay that way” she said with a small laugh, “But I’m sure people would love you, even with really puffy cheeks”
