Finally noticing that she was actually backing off a little, but he was only slightly amused at what he saw in her that most didn't. A certain side that wanted to be unveiled to the darkness that was this hell they called the world. Romulus knew fully well that he could have taken whatever he wanted without any remorse for the dead. Leaving anything up to Maharet was a bad idea as far as he was concerned and wanted no one to partake in what he thought was just another rival industry to keep him from doing anything horrible. Maharet definitely kept Romulus in check in a way until he was fully aware of what she was planning with him.
Using him was certainly the number one policy he had forbid her from doing, but as she went on about her and Persephone, those fantasies did indeed work their way into his mind. Ah yes, Persephone Warrington, he had wanted her at one point in time when she actually had been in school. Although, against his better judgment, he had followed her every move and sway of her hips just to keep him on his toes. Whatever had come between him and Maharet at that time had certainly been because of Jacob's older sister. Always around whenever Romulus wanted a little one on one to talk with Maharet, but he was after all her best friend. One of the few that could admit to it when they had been young and playing around too.
Romulus had almost overpowered her, but he had actually been holding back a lot of the times she had tackled him. Surely, she could tell when he was being gentle with her, but now he had no fear of harming her as he could easily bite her to turn her. There would be no way he would do that within the walls of Hogwarts though, or at all for that matter. When he had heard that she been promised to have Fenrir bite her, but he didn't care, at least he would have Zmeyette. The one and only werewolf he needed to be at his side, and of course she'd end up becoming a moon as well. Then their offspring would be full blooded werewolves for a change.
Mating like crazy was on his agenda, as he then smirked at Maharet, "Yes, I remember, that's where you got your wily skills from, and how you seduce men without a second glance. Not they really need seducing as you already have the body to do it with. Curious thing? You might have to indulge on what happened," he said to her, hoping to hear a more detailed version of it...since it was obvious she had been there. Romulus already knew what had happened, but wasn't going to accept the existence of her even being close to the pub when she attacked Shailene.

Persephone had been an excellent mentor. It couldn’t all be credited to the older girl though. Natural ability played a big part in seduction as well. You couldn’t go into those things half-heartedly. If you weren’t prepared to break hearts then it wasn’t even worth pursuing. Luckily, Maharet didn’t even so much as frown at the thought of leaving some guy in pieces after she had chewed him up and spit him out. That had a lot to do with the whispers of her promiscuous nature going around the school- past lovers complaining about how she had made them fall for her and then hurt their precious feelings. It was disgusting really how they thought that she had loved them. Honestly, she wasn’t the type to fall so quickly or hard. She was just a very talented actress apparently.
At the mention of her body Maharet looked down at herself, specially her blouse which the top buttons were undone, absent of her Ravenclaw tie, to accentuate her assets. A hand ran down her stomach to smooth out the fabric. “So its not my beguiling smile, sensual tone, or arousing touches that make me so desirable?” A playful little pout adorned her lips as though she were disappointed by this news. Really Maggie knew that for some all it took for them to take notice of her was looking in her general direction and that didn’t bother her. As long as she got what she wanted from them it was all good. Rather than being offended when a guy objectified her Maharet would just put herself on display even more for their viewing pleasure.
Going into further detail was something that she wanted to grant to him. He would appreciate the devious nature of the deed if anyone would. Maggie glanced down the corridor both ways before even opening her mouth to speak. “She was crazed, shouting something about murdered animals and the blood being all over her. The poor dear picked up a knife and started to crave chunks of skin out of her arms. It was almost as though someone had slipped something into her Hot Chocolate.” The mock look of concern was obviously condescending. Maggie had gotten a stitch in her side laughing once she had parted from the crowd that was hustling out of the pub and was down an alley. Shailene antics had been hilarious and for a couple seconds, as she was being ushered out the door, Maharet had thought she was going to lose it right then and there in front of everyone. “But I refuse to believe you’ve been idle.”

Smirking slightly, and knew that his antics would have reached her ears eventually as he shrugged his shoulders in her direction. Was there really any reason for him to actually defect from her cause, but she had always listened to his qualms whenever he needed help. Why not listen to her pleas for help once and a while like he had with Hector. Of course he wondered if she needed an AA meeting for what she had done, but almost died laughing at that. After all AA was for quitters, and he was a winner all the way. No blood lust was going to control his life at all, but he knew there were many other things he could do to help her out here. One could just never too cautious he guess, and soon just let his ego fly up into the clouds.
Looking at Maharet, he really hadn't considered how beautiful she had really looked without those special assets to tell her that she really didn't need to use much to get a guy's attention. "Think of it this way, the more a guy thinks about your intelligence over your looks, he's a fool. Surely that poor girl was alright by the time you left, plus that's my house you're dealing with. Someone might have to put a stop to that," he said rather callously, and didn't want attention drawn to him at all, so he'd play it smooth right now as he glanced both ways too before continuing.
"Well, you know me, never a boring day in my life, roughing up a muggle born here and there, and then just tormenting blood traitors with words is fun. Getting them all riled up without dueling is so much more fun than anything I've ever thought of. Giving into their every whim is sickening and I love it when I find out what really makes them scared then use it against them. Am I evil? Probably, but I consider myself good in my own way. Justice really has many different forms, and while we're on the subject, what do you consider justice? I see no good and evil, only...those that stand in my way," he said to her, keeping it rather simple.
Elegant and quaint was how he liked most of his plans to fall into place, but even so he was glancing over Maharet as if she were some sort of future puppet to use later on. Oh, how she didn't know what he had in store, but that seemed to be a mutual thing between them despite their ...extremely great friendship. Romulus didn't tell Maharet -everything- though as he had plans of his own he liked to keep rather secretive. "Is that little group serving your purposes well by the way?" he asked curiously now leaning against the wall.

”All men are fools.” Maharet countered letting out a soft laugh. Whether they focused on her looks or her intelligence it still ended in the same thing, she used them. In one way or another it was always the case. But such was life. Intentional or not every single person got used for something. It could be as small as opening a door for someone or as big as mauling some idiotic half werewolf for messing up someone’s plans for them. Just the same, as much as she used people, Maggie wasn’t an exception. People used her too, usually in a way that she quite enjoyed but the fact remained true. “I believe the muggle studies professor aided the dear girl before she lost too much blood.” But Alihotsy had effects on the mind, which were longer lasting than to be cured with a simple spell. Counter potions were needed and Shailene surely had been tormenting with her thoughts for hours, if not more. The thought of Seyton having to deal with that made Maharet positively giddy. She wondered if Shailene screams reminded him of that muggleborn girl his father had put into a coma.
Romulus’ mention of blood traitors sent her mind to thinking about her cousin, Scorpius. It was such a shame that his family had fallen a long way since Lucius. It was bad enough that Draco was a pansy but Scorpius dating a mudblood. How did he even do that? Maggie had tried fathoming it time and time again to try and understand but each time drew a blank. It was just a mild distraction to keep her mind off of her more personal irritation- a tangent. Also she and Romulus did share in the feeling of sickness when it came to the whims mudbloods and blood traitors indulged in. Everyone was evil in their own way. It all depended on the perspective in which any given person looked at it. There really wasn’t such a thing as good and evil, just differing view points.
“Justice is based on morals, which mine are too slim to be valid. For me the appropriate term is vengeance. But as considerations go I would have to say it relies on what I deem to be right. Treachery of those you are loyal to, genuinely that is,” A wicked smile graced her lips at that. “going against the natural order of things, and getting on my bad side, these are things that incite vengeance. The methods vary too greatly to give you a definite, but pain whether emotion, psychological, or physical usually are included.” Romulus’ mentality on the subject earned her respect. Determination no matter the obstacle was always worthy of admiration.
As for the group she was currently serving, it did please. “Yes, it does fill the time. But you know I am involved in many groups such as that.” Maggie did get around when it came to the factions that were available. Olivia’s little minions were positively darling in comparison to the other people she granted favour. Rhea, for example, was probably the most terrifying dark wizard there was- a woman who Maharet was more than happy to do tasks for. But it was Fenrir had secured her loyalty. “I don’t suppose you have a particular end game other than getting Zmeyette at your side?”

Romulus really had no qualms with anyone and didn't feel like helping any factions out at all besides Fenrir's for now. Only then would he have gained true satisfaction at helping him out, but he supposed Maharet knew him better than that. Surely getting Zmeyette wasn't one of his ultimatums, and she was damn right about that. "Well, if you really must know, I want to become one of the most renowned werewolves, even more infamous than Fenrir, no matter how I have to do it," he said to her, giving her that dangerous grin that bordered on insanity. There was only one other werewolf who understood Romulus's crazy antics sometimes as well as how he treated his own kind at times.
Even Lucian, one of the other werewolves that were indeed one of Fenrir's devoted followers, or perhaps just his own. Just like Romulus, but he wasn't going to count Lucian as his best friend for nothing. Doing almost everything together and now here he was standing in front of his best friend for however long he could remember admitting he was going to go against Fenrir eventually. When he would defect would be a mystery, but Romulus secretly craved more power. Wanting to control the world and have everyone fear him in the long run. No one would stop him if he took over the biggest werewolf of them all.
Chuckling at his thought, but then he caught his own laughter as he then let his gaze turn into a serious one while looking towards her. A question was about to come in mind, but he need not ask it since the answer was obvious from Maharet. This would obviously turn into a war if he turned her here and now, although it would only be a part werewolf bite. Nothing immensely major would happen, but he could defile Fenrir's attempt to change her. Of course he had to clarify something first, "In my case, either you're my friend or you aren't...that's the only morality I see, but I have to ask, what are your thoughts after this whole Fenrir takes over crap is done? What left is there to do? Where will you go from there? I'm certainly not going to keep living underneath a leader, I want to be my own commander," he said to her. In fact he loved keeping it incredibly simple.

Romulus’ aspirations concerned her. He had basically just told her that he planned to go against Fenrir. Such information Maharet didn’t know what to do with. On the one hand, Fenrir was very important to her, she did whatever he told her to do without ever having an alternative agenda like she did with the other factions- he was, most accurately put, her master, which wasn’t a term that she was fond of but it did fit. With Rom it was different, he was her friend, someone that she was loyal to in a different kind of way. Those pesky things like morals were giving her grief in this situation. If Romulus wasn’t her friend the first thing she would have done was to write Fenrir to tell him of the possible threat, but he was and Maggie couldn’t do that. What she could do was make it, or try to at least, so that both got what they wanted.
Seyton wasn’t taking up the position of head werewolf, and probably never would. Zmeyette was the next in line but a female Alpha, even someone as vicious as her wasn’t ideal. Her mate however, as Maharet already knew that Romulus would eventually get what he wanted, was something to take under serious consideration. If she suggested he be trained as Fenrir’s successor, Romulus could, after Fenrir either died or passed the position on from other means, could earn his renowned status in a way that wouldn’t upset Maggie- not that Romulus was concerned with something so trivial. “Don’t be hasty with your goals.” She advised. “Such a thing can come to pass without doing something… unfortunate.” His meaning had reached her loud and clear.
Her thoughts for after Fenrir took over hadn’t been entertained too much. “I don’t really know.” By then she would surely be a werewolf herself. Wouldn’t it be prudent to make sure the pack remained strong, offer new members to be raised under the correct teachings. “The thing about power is that none is indefinite. Even after Fenrir rises to power there will always be someone there to try to take it away, as well as his successors.” Maharet gave him a pointed look hoping that it would give Rom an idea of what she had been referring to earlier. “I suppose I’ll be helping with that too. As undoubtedly you and Zmeyette will be working on such things at that point as well. Strengthening numbers that is.” Smiling at the thought of it Maharet could just picture the pair completely adorable with their affections. How much longer could Zmeyette really resist him?

Romulus wasn't sure what to expect from her but he considered the options and the threat of overpowering even Fenrir. Yes, when he died, he would be glad when that day would go to him if he proved himself worthy over Zmeyette, but he'd be of the Moon clan. Good thing he would do what he needed to get there, but he was still gonna work behind the curtains to unveil Fenrir's true intentions. Romulus was going to spread the plague of werewolves as soon as he made a full werewolf, however, he could live with knowing that Maharet was trying to do what was right in her own eyes. Raising an eyebrow towards her.
A very dangerous grin spread across his face and then started to think this over as he paced back and forth. Yes, she was indeed helping, but he had found many ways to figure out what she had been up to. What was so different about Maharet that she wasn't telling him about? It didn't really matter if she didn't tell him what Fenrir had planned for her, but he knew that he was the first one lined up to be bitten after he had proved himself. Romulus was definitely going to get the school's attention by taking on the evil Slytherin trio at some point. Two have gone down, but Olivia was the next on his list.
Even if she was going to be an ally of Fenrir's later on, but he wasn't going to let them be corrupted by such a bitch. Growling slightly at that thought, but Maharet knew it didn't take much to get his hackles rising over Slytherins in general. Although, he did pick on his own house quite a lot. "Oh I don't plan on doing anything so foolish right on top, but be forewarned, it may be something that will set off the entire werewolf community. I'm sure there will be some others that are going to rebel against him though. I wonder what would happen if I took their side if need be. I would not hesitate in cutting anyone down, after all, you know how heartless I really am," he said to her.
Callously grinning again, and now he just shrugged his shoulders idly. Dangerous games he was playing indeed and even though she pointed it out he merely nodded towards her. "Yes yes, of course, I won't do anything to draw attention to myself and when he dies I'll be young enough to take over as the head of the pack, that runt Adrian's got nothing on me," he said to her without any remorse, but he knew that a werewolf of another tribe was always dangerous no matter how much younger they were. Romulus was definitely someone to fear though.

That grin was never a good sign, strictly speaking. It meant that Romulus was thinking hard about something that he probably shouldn’t be, and add pacing on top of that- Maggie was worried. She didn’t want to see Romulus over step his boundaries, especially not at Fenrir’s expense. Such high aspirations, in their world, usually meant stepping over the people that you had once considered your betters, or pretended to at least. In order for Rom to be the baddest he had to defeat the baddest and that title was presently held by Fenrir. Perching herself on the edge of the window sill Maharet watched hi pace with a wary eye, doing her best not to let her concern shine through too brightly.
She did want Romulus to have what he wanted, Zmeyette and his higher ranking, but she also was fiercely loyal to Fenrir. What would she do if that loyalty was passed on to Rom? He was her best friend, that did afford him a certain amount of faithfulness as it was, which actually happened to be her current problem. But would it be so easy to take orders from him? It wasn’t as though Maggie was particularly good at being told what to do as it was. She would do tasks as ordered but always in her own way. Rom had an understanding of that already though. The thought of him being above her was a mixed bag of emotions.
Talk of rebellion against Fenrir did not fall on willing ears. Maharet shook her head anxiously and hopped off the windowsill to storm over to Romulus instead. She placed a hand on either of his shoulders stilling his pacing. “You mustn’t speak of such things aloud. Romulus, you have to be smarter than that. If Zmeyette heard you talking about rebellion she would try to kill you, that’s the opposite of what you want. Be patient, move your pieces into a better position- an uprise is the surest way to meet your end.” She didn’t believe he was heartless, otherwise he wouldn’t have such an infatuation for Zmeyette, or be friends with her taking vengeance out on those that she sent him after as they had grieved her.
Maharet calmed as Rom agreed not to do anything to draw attention to himself. “It wouldn’t be Adrian that I would worry about.” Her hands dropped back to her sides taking in a deep breath, relieved that Romulus was being compliant. “He would show you the same devotion that he does his father if status was granted to you.” Turning away from Rom she went back to the window leaning her arms on the sill to gaze out across the grounds below. The students frolicking about looked like ants and to her were just as insignificant. “Seyton has always been the problem. Rightfully he is Fenrir’s second, but his path has diverted him from his calling. Things change and unless he can be persuaded otherwise, with Fenrir dead, he would be your biggest threat.” Seyton could take over his rightful place in the pack then and as such it would mean disbanding the vision that Fenrir had worked so hard to see a reality.

Romulus certainly did understand Maharet better than a lot of people did, but that didn't phase him as much as the fact she was defending Fenrir. Oh yes, he knew of her little quarrel earlier, and he planned on convening with Fenrir with what he could do to become a full werewolf. The first step was to get Zmeyette to bite him and then fully engage the change into a full one before the term was out. Yes, he would request it, but the requirements had to be met. Underneath a full moon was when it had to happen, and certainly no one was going to get in his way of making sure Zmeyette did bite him. Gladly thinking things through for a change as he soon stopped pacing and calmly let out a breath of fresh air.
"My my, I think way too hard sometimes, this is way simpler than it ought to be, but he's so focused on offspring. You're right, I can wait until power gets passed down, and Seyton will be easy to take out with the right double agent, I mean I do like toying with people's emotions. Pretending I'm on their side, and then stabbing them in the back" he merely whispered towards Maharet as he walked close enough to her and then he did something she would have seen as an affectionate gesture. Running one hand along her cheek softly, and then pressing his lips to her cheek lightly pressing his whole body up against her.
Grinding his hips promiscuously just once, and then pulling away as he moved to lean back against the wall as if he had done nothing wrong. Romulus merely grinned her way as he was trying to prove his point, but he wouldn't have actually done that with Maharet. No, he wasn't Jacob Warrington, whom he had actually beaten up a while back for challenging his authority. Romulus knew he had upset Maharet a little, but he didn't care it had been fun since Jacob was the one that came after -him- looking for a fight. Certainly teaching that pathetic human he was nothing more than an insect in a body bag. Chuckling at that thought, but quickly stifled it as he looked up at Maggie.
Shaking his finger at her slowly, "As for this..Faolan character, what are you planning to do with him? I hear rumors here and there you've been with him..." he let his eyes narrow at her, and wondered if he would have to intervene with this one too. Hopefully he would not have to do any of the work to touch her newer interest, but he could smell Fenrir's work over all of this. An obedient girl for Fenrir, but she was obedient for him too when it suited her needs. Just like Romulus was for her when it suited his own needs, birds of a feather flock together as they say.

Maharet had been defending Fenrir, but it was for Romulus’ benefit. As much as taking Fenrir out might have appealed to him at the time it wasn’t the smartest move. Didn’t he realize how difficult it was for her to even begin to conceive Fenrir’s removal from power, even if it was done in the way that she had proposed to Rom? Maggie had grown up with the understanding that Fenrir was the only person that mattered. Her father had drilled it into her head since birth handing her over to the werewolf to do whatever bidding was required of her, it was the only life that Maharet knew and she wasn’t complaining about it, it was just hard for her to see past what she knew so well.
A semblance of amusement, amongst her heavy thoughts, was granted as Romulus spoke of his plans for Seyton. “To double cross would be to stab them in their front.” Maggie pointed out, which was even better than stabbing someone in the back. She always liked to see the shock and pain of having someone that they trusted betray them. How well Romulus, after making such an impact on the school as a terror, would do in convincing Seyton that he was on his side was questionable. It would take extreme skill on Romulus’ part, which she wasn’t sure was the best idea under the circumstances of everything else that he would be dealing with dividing his time, or another method would need to be taken. It was subjective to the situation at the time though. Planning ahead couldn’t hurt.
As his hand grazed her cheek followed by his kiss Maggie smiled pleasantly. Even though they were just friends she couldn’t help but indulge in the wonderful affection of such actions. After having Rom grind up against her Maharet would definitely be finding Jacob later. But then as he mentioned Faolan, he was also a valid option to use. “I have been with him. It’s why Hector broke up with me.” She still needed to figure something appropriate out for Sierra, but in due time.
“Faolan’s my Christmas present to Fenrir this year.” Maggie informed vaguely. Romulus wouldn’t be satisfied with that though. “You know how I like subtly, I’m going to subdue him for his father. Apparently he’s acquired himself a lovely new cage to hold Faolan in. I do look forward to having my fun in it, if Fenrir is so kind as to grant me the privilege. More than happy to christen it for him.” She let out a soft laugh at the notion. Maharet had made promises to Faolan after all when she and Persephone had played with him. Great rewards came with falling in line with Fenrir. Perhaps after she was finished she could even arrange for Sierra to be tossed in with the newly formed beast. That would be appropriate punishment for Hector’s sister, and yet another reminder to the boy that he shouldn’t have crossed her. Maggie’s eyes lit up at the idea of it.

Romulus smirked in Maharet's direction and he was going to let her read his mind on this one. Oh yes, he wanted a piece of Faolan and he would leave his mark on that wolf to teach him not to mess with a part werewolf. There was no way that anyone would take Maharet's place, but he was going to make sure Faolan was good enough material to even consider being with Maharet at all. Everyone had an evil side, but Romulus's wasn't exactly the one to trust either. Having secrets of his own made him very unpredictable and very very dangerous. That was why he got into fights all the time, but his power-hungry mode was switched off finally to give him way to actual reason.
Maharet seemed intent on giving Faolan over to Fenrir, but he didn't really care about that at all. Getting the other Wulfes involved was just a little cruel, but all he really head to do was get at Hector somehow. Thinking of going after Sierra first to gain Hector's attention would indeed be one way to do it as he grinned maliciously. "Oh don't worry, I've got a few plans to take care of all of them, but I almost must test if Foalan if even worth his attention," he said to her. Cracking his knuckles lightly as he looked towards the hole in the wall again and decided to be a little nice. After all damaging school property was a horrible habit he had developed over the years.
Some of it was actually rather unintentional, and some of it was just to make Zmeyette thinking he was cool. Whatever, he wasn't going to lie around and wait for some new pup to come take his place at all. Even if the Greybacks wanted no part of his plans, but he had plans for them....all of them. Especially when he did get with her, and his attention focused on Zmeyette again as he repairo'd the wall rather fast. Stalking the hallway and pacing again he soon just let his hand come to his chin. "So, is there anything else I'm missing? Right now my end goal is to get out of Hogwarts then at least start a Moon clan, or see what Zmeyette wants to do in the long run" he said to Maharet, giving her a general idea of what he wanted.

His plans had an awful way of getting him into trouble. True, such trouble Romulus had always found a way out of but that was just one of the many ways that they differed. Maharet, if she could help it, liked to avoid unnecessary complications to her agenda. It was the reason why she used subtlety and seduction as her main methods, the latter did have a way of stirring up problems, but she had done a good job at handling it herself. The biggest issue was exciting her lovers, the werewolf ones specifically, too much to keep them tame enough so that they didn’t bite her. It was all about balance really and Maharet had apparently found the formula to keep them in check, giving and with holding at appropriate times. For all the other stuff that threatened her plans there were people like Romulus to do the dirty work for her.
Maggie believed that their friendship was as strong as it was because both granted favour for the other, always reciprocating, usually immediately. Romulus had never disappointed her, which was saying something considering how temperamental Maharet was. In a different life it would have been him who she went after with all her feminine wiles to gain his sexual affections. As it stood she was comfortable for the friendly affections that they exchanged. He was Zmeyette’s and Maggie was happy with that. Surely being his friend offered greater fortune than his lover- there weren’t any pesky rules to follow, for example. “Promise to test him after I’ve had my fill?” Maggie requested. With as much on his plate as he already had piled up, it wouldn’t be too much an inconvenience to delay measuring Faolan’s worth, hopefully.
“There is plenty that you are missing, the pieces just haven’t been revealed to you yet.” In time more things would arise that would be best to consult her about. Maharet just hoped that Rom would always be willing to come to her with them. She was looking out for his best interest, as any good friend should have done. When it came to the protective nature that they had for one another, Romulus went with a physical approach, going after anyone that brought her distress and she was protective of his mentality. That aggression in him was perfect, except when it came to make rash decisions. Maharet stilled his mind and gave him alternatives to pursue. “I wish you many children for your goal. You know my services are always available to you.” Maggie didn’t like children, but she would be more than happy to help teach them. Boys or girls she didn’t know any one better suited to teach them in the art of seduction.

Romulus shook his head at her as he wagged a finger in her direction, but now his intelligence was indeed showing through for a change. Not one to be condescending, but he had to consider what he was doing now. "You know that Payton Parker girl? Let's say she won't be able to love so easily anymore, I find crushing people's hearts emotionally much more fun now," he said to her, examining the back of his hand. Oh yes, seduction was good for one thing, but he unlike Maharet held no emotional ties to anyone, which was easy for him to just let his thoughts focus on one particular girl whom he kept going back to. Nodding at her logic, what could have possibly have been more devastating than having someone tell you that you were horrible in bed?
Romulus really couldn't think of anyone or anything that would have been more despicable at finding out what made certain women tick. Having to be careful around many of the Hufflepuff girls after they heard about what he did to Payton, but he had his ways to work around such wiles. No more would he hit on another girl, but it had been fun while it lasted after telling Payton she wasn't worth anything to him. It had crushed her soul it looked like, but he wasn't going to even give her a semblance of a hint that he had enjoyed the kiss at all. Touching his lips softly at the aftermath of what happened, and his gaze softened a little. Now this was bad and he needed to focus before Maharet focused on his weakness at that moment.
Nah, he needed her to see him in his weakened moments when he was slightly unsure of what was going on with his body. After all, she was the one he had learned much of his seductive techniques from and how to woe the many women in his life. One of those had been Zmeyette, but she had been ignoring his attentions lately. Shaking his head once more, "I don't plan on doing it soon, but I will make sure that I don't do that again, feelings like that make you too attached for a little bit...I don't understand that...although I suppose if I wasn't always after Zmeyette, I might" he said, while scratching his head in thought, looking towards her with confusion wrapped in his eyes.

Of course Maggie didn’t know the girl that Romulus spoke of, she wasn’t exactly someone that even if she was putting on the good girl act she would have spent her time with. She was a sweet little Hufflepuff mudblood- why would Maharet waste her time getting to know someone that held no benefit for her. “I know of her.” She replied narrowing her eyes at the rest of what he had said. It seemed as though he was evolving from his aggression to branch out into other areas of torment. This pleased her to know. He had so much potential to be better than great. Becoming skilled in all areas of manipulation was definitely an excellent start. Payton was an easy target though, someone with a gullibility that almost made it not worth the effort. “Perhaps you should step up your game then, since you had such a nice time.”
Getting Zmeyette’s attention the way that he had been trying so many years by attempting to impress her through his aggression and violent antics had gotten him no where. Seduction however, at least for her, always worked. You simply had to find out what it was that a person craved most from you and then seduce them with it. Usually that meant something sexual in her case- but not always. Maharet slowly circled Romulus appraising him just to make certain that he did indeed have the appeal that was irritable. That bad boy charm of his could easily make any girl’s knees buckle and he could pretend to be awfully nice at times. Coming full circle Maharet stopped in front of Rom keeping her gaze locked with his.
“You want Zmeyette. Give her a taste of what you are capable of sexually and once she’s hooked make her chase you. Jealousy is a powerful motivator. Find some weak-minded girl to fall madly in love with you and then flaunt her in front of Zmeyette. If you do want to do that though what you want me to tell her would be contradictory.” She probably should have told Romulus this approach ages ago but she hadn’t thought, one that he would be up to it and two that he would go for the idea in the first place. With this new knowledge of a growing fondness for seduction though it seemed the right time to suggest it. The touch to his lips did concern her, but prying into his thoughts wasn’t something that she was interested in at the moment.
“Affections, however brief are all superficial, consequences of the moment. When it comes to seduction, if you plan to get any where, you have to indulge in them otherwise, in such an intimate situation, the other person is more likable to be able to tell that it is nothing more than a game.” He might have thought her silly or weak for getting attached, but it was necessary and the benefits of doing so more than made up for how much she loathed them at the time and sometimes afterward.

Romulus was enjoying the fact she was examining him for a change and looking up at his own appeal instead of just making it worth her own. Romulus had known this to be one of the few times to listen to her and consider her words, yes Romulus hadn't honestly thought of flaunting someone else in front of Zmeyette. The whole jealous thing was a good spin on this entire fiasco, and it would make him forget all about why he couldn't have her. Pretending to do that was going to put him in a real precarious situation, but if he wanted someone to fall madly in love with him it would have to be someone that would see past his exterior. The gullible ones were out of the question and now he would have to choose a different target.
Nothing was going to come in between him and his prize, which was Zmeyette right now, thinking that he would always have her no matter what really happened. The funny part was that there was always someone getting in the way, and Lucian was planning on helping him with this. After all, Zmeyette was a little soft if she liked hanging around with some half-bloods, but Romulus also had to consider the fact what he would do if he accidentally developed feelings for that person while using them. The only thing he was afraid of doing was letting his guard down enough to let someone in by accident, and it almost amused him by that point too.
Wondering what it would be like to string someone along for a while, and have them tamed by him pretending to act like he even cared about them. Perhaps that could be used to remedy the situation with Payton again, because she was incredibly gullible. Sure, she wasn't a mark to be considered worth using, but it was the easiest person he knew how to manipulate. Romulus didn't care much about challenges as much as he did getting Zmeyette jealous over another girl then he turned to Maharet for a moment. She could have been a possibility, but it would have turned awkward after like it did with Jacob and her. Romulus was no fool to seeing what that poor bastard did to Maggie, and that was a secret reason why he had also went after Jacob.
It wasn't Maharet's fault she was like that, but at the same time he knew why she had done it too. Shaking his head again, he soon returned her comment, "Well, if that's the case, I might have to try luring someone like that, and then flaunting them in front of Zmeyette...however if this violent approach doesn't work I -will- resort to using someone and pretending I'm taken by them. It's really not that hard to feel detached honestly especially when you can hate their guts so easily just by being so close to them...makes it all the easier to fake the emotions," he said to her, examining his hand once again, and smiling in her direction.

She couldn’t quite tell if Romulus was being condescending or not. Maggie had hated Jacob for years before she all the sudden decided to play with him at the lake that day. It had led from one thing to another and stupidly, between all the pleasure she had gotten the slightest bit attached. How could you love someone that you hated? It shouldn’t have been possibly and still Maharet was determined to beat back any semblance of a feeling for Jacob Warrington. It was harder to do when he was around, but by agreeing to be friends it had taken a lot of the pressure off of her to hate him again. She could do friends, by her standards you were allowed to have feelings for them without it being a horrid thing. Maggie couldn’t allow herself to really get attached to anyone because at the snap of a whim Fenrir could task her to kill anyone and she would have to do it. It was why she didn’t want Romulus to go about his plans in a brazen way. She did care for him and him being hurt badly, or killed would have hurt her. Maggie wasn’t like most girls when it came to emotions, some thought her heartless even, but that wasn’t true. She just kept herself at a distance from most people and her morals were far too compromised for her to ever be considered good.
“Don’t worry if you start to get attached I’ll smack it out of you.” The offer was hardly sweet but her tone had been downright sugary. Returning the smile Maharet found herself rather giddy about the idea of it. Zmeyette was her friend but Romulus was her best friend. No one ranked higher than Rom and Persephone for her (except Fenrir of course). The girl needed to realize that treating Romulus the way that she had been was unacceptable. That was hypocritical considering if Maggie was in Zmeyette’s shoes she wouldn’t have been some submissive doll for Rom to play with either, but she would at least give him the time of day. Manipulating friends was something that she wasn’t against doing if it needed to be done. She had already deceived Persephone for not telling her about Jacob, but the oaf had sprung up telling Persephone in a way that Maggie hadn’t favoured. It was over and done with though so she tried not to let it rile her up. The point of her mind set being that helping Romulus manipulate Zmeyette didn’t bother her or make her feel guilty.
Lacing her arm with Rom’s she gave it a little squeeze perky in her demeanor. “You just volunteered to walk me to dinner.” Maharet informed. It was getting around that time and surely he would be heading there too. Besides she was in no mood to be anywhere near the Ravenclaw table presently. It was such a pain to have the urge to leap across the table and rip Hector’s heart out literally to make his complaining valid. That wasn’t a very nice way to spend your meal. But sitting all the way over at the Huffelpuff table with Rom, allowing him to distract her did ease the mind.

The Ravenclaw table seemed like a dull and dreary place to Rom, but why his thoughts roamed there never would cease to amaze him. It was like a theme park in his head the way he wandered around and every time he tried a ride out once he had to go for another spin only to be caught by another new one. Just like his fluctuating patterns in his plans, but soon he looked around for a moment not really worrying about who might see them like this. After all, Maharet wasn't an easy catch in the first place and Romulus was all buddy buddy with her arm around him at the fact he had hung out with her for a portion of his life. Having been mentioned as one of the "baddest werewolves" she knew had made him a little giddy too at times.
It was funny how just a little encouragement from Maharet gave him the courage to do whatever he needed, but he merely nodded to her as he looked forward. Yes, dinner time was coming up and he felt his stomach growling again at just mentioning the word within his mind. Chuckling slightly he merely ensued her dreams of holding his arm in her own, but he looked down at her. "You're going to use yourself as the girl to try luring Zmeyette towards me?" he asked dubiously as if she were trying to actually sustain actual cover for this. Perhaps it might work if Zmeyette saw him with Maharet for a bit, but he also thought that she'd find him more or less detached from her while looking over.
Zmeyette wouldn't get jealous over another girl, she'd be too happy he found a different obsession, but would want to make out in front of her to get her that much more upset. Setting off infinite pranks against her hadn't worked either, but perhaps he needed to send an owl to fenrir to get this whole mess sorted out. That seemed like the best course of action, and it would be settled definitely by then. Romulus wasn't going to take no for an answer anymore as he mulled these things over on his way down towards the great hall which is where the next destination was supposed to be. "Why the sudden change of topic anyways? I know it's dinner, but why now?" he asked curiously.
Romulus knew when Maggie had something up her sleeves, but right now he seemed to be slightly confused by her leading him on like this. Even towards the great hall no less, and really didn't want people to get the wrong idea, not that he was objecting much. Maggie was probably enjoying making Romulus flustered for a change instead of him scaring her to death with his usual antics of pretending he was going to bite her. The same old story he heard a million times from her how she wanted Fenrir to bite her instead, but even Romulus was only -part- werewolf, not even half. Fenrir was the key to making him whole, but he kept his mouth shut so she could answer him.

It was a thought and it would be interesting to see what all fun they could have together, but that hadn’t been her intention by lacing her arm with his. That was just something that Maharet had gotten and had gone with it. She usually always did when it came to Romulus. “No,” She replied slowly, drawling it out. Most people were already aware that they were friends. Rom wasn’t like Jacob and she had no problem being seen in public with him in a friendly capacity. It was easy enough to spin. Two people so comfortable with one another, great friends turned lovers one night and then made exclusive to the public soon after. It certainly wasn’t unheard of but the believability in terms of Zmeyette would be a much harsher skeptic.
She was aware of how friendly they were but the fact that they had never crossed that line would be unbelievable, most likely, for Zmeyette, that suddenly it had been. There were other complications to take into consideration as well. She would need Fenrir’s approval on this one. When it came to his precious daughter it wasn’t as much free range in her manipulation of them as it was for the others. If she didn’t get consent and Fenrir found out that she was helping Rom play Zmeyette the punishment would be harsher than Maggie would have liked. Aside from that she was liable to have her hands full with Faolan.
“I could if you like.” Still Maharet was always willing to do things for Rom just as he was willing to do things for her. It was funny, in a sad sort of way that he was the closest thing to a relationship that Maggie had. That equal partnership deal was never neglected with them and both gave just as good as they got- unlike Hector. But to even begin to compare the two was stupid. Hector just didn’t measure up to Rom simple as that. She wasn’t sure if she could really tell Romulus was she had changed the subject. It was true that there always was some tick up her sleeve but as to what it was right now she wasn’t sure, at least not on a conscious level.
Subconsciously though it probably did have something to do directly with her own love troubles. Maggie being seen with Rom wasn’t anything new but walking along like they were left things to be interpreted to impression, which she was more than content with at the moment. She wanted Hector to be scared and on his guard. As to whether or not it would actually be accomplished Maharet wasn’t sure. He probably was dumb enough to underestimate Romulus. “I’m hungry.” Maggie informed bluntly. That wouldn’t be enough to satisfy his curiosity though. Sighing softly she looked up at Rom. “Also I need you to keep me from doing anything stupid to Hector. It wouldn’t be worth it yet. Besides if we do go with me as your little harlot to flaunt in front of Zmeyette then it couldn’t hurt to have some ground work laid down- and if not it will be conceived as nothing more than us still being friends. You have to keep your options open.” Maharet flashed him a pretty smile.

Romulus was not really worried about the whole thing at all anymore, and he would just let it blow over in the long run too. Amusing as this made it seem to be, he looked at Maharet and realized that if he did use her as a harlot where would that put him? All he had to do was forget about feelings when with her and pretend like he actually loved her. Although, he had seen that happen before with a certain someone, not wanting to keep it that way at all shaking his head. "No, I think I'd rather do this my way for a change, and I do have a perfect plan to make it happen, perhaps going after those she gets close to might change her mind a little. Jacob's already taken a beating, but I'm sorry if that hurt your feelings or not, it was worth it," Romulus said to her, grinning the whole time he had brought it up.
Every time, he had found a way to get the upper hand on someone, and he would take the opportunity to use whatever forces he could to win even if it meant kicking up dust to cheat a little. Fair fights weren't his style, but you had to be quick in guessing what your opponent would do. Especially since Romulus wasn't a very nice fighter either, and his punches hurt judging by the impact he left on the wall earlier as his hand had now completely healed no matter how slow it had been. Finally looking around at the great hall as they entered it and felt the stares weighing heavily into them as he glared right back to get them to look away.
Some rose to the challenge until someone whispered in their ears about how dangerous he was, but he wasn't all that terrifying. Romulus was just a sweet, innocent wolf that had a huge temper at all times, but that was mainly due to Maharet's upbringing as well. Had she not influenced his life a little, he would perhaps not even have chosen a side at all, but she had the good effect on him unlike those other prude wolves that were too good for her. Romulus then considered that she didn't want to be at her own table for fear of having to sit near her own nemesis, but Romulus usually sat by Lucian who was a muggle-born werewolf. Even so, he was still a were wolf and Rom considered him a comrade in arms.
Amusing as this all sounded in his mind, he soon guided Maharet towards the table letting her take a seat first instead of pushing her down to at least show her -some- respect instead of parading her around the castle trying to show off. "Now, what are you having to eat? Besides whatever is on your mind, dirty girl," he said to her, chuckling softly at that, but he knew fully well what she thought about half the time if she saw a strong, dark and handsome guy that had everything in one package.

Now that she thought more on it. She really wasn’t the best choice for Romulus to use. As much as they would be able to fool other people, Zmeyette wouldn’t be. It was irreverent musing any further on Romulus’ option though. He seemed set on going the violent route. Everyone had specialties- hers was seduction and Rom had a good handle on inciting fear into the hearts and minds of others, it was probably best that they stuck with what they were best at. Zmeyette was bound to come around eventually. Resisting Romulus was futile really and Zmey was smart enough to realize it, hopefully. At the mention of hurting Jacob her expression became apathetic.
It had upset her but Maggie was still determined to beat down those types of emotions. They didn’t do her any good. There was no sense in feeling concerned over Jacob’s well being because he wasn’t anything more to her than a friend, a friend that was one a basic level- not like Persephone or Rom. It was just useless clutter in her mind to entertain worrisome thoughts for the boy. “It’s fine.” Maharet assured him. “He deserved it.” Which Jacob did. He didn’t honestly think that he could get away with hurting not only her but Zmeyette as well. Zmey seemed to be more deeply impacted by it than Maggie had, but she supposed that just said something about the differences in the two girls personalities, which were pretty vast. Zmeyette was more physically violent and strong, but it seemed that Maharet was more cold hearted, or forced herself to be. If her father were to be killed Maggie would have been upset, but nothing near how devastated Zmeyette would have been if Fenrir were to die. Weakness was not tolerated in her household.
She knew that they were likely to sit with Lucian, after all the two werewolves were good friends. Maggie didn’t really mind Lucian actually. He was muggle born, but being a werewolf did give him amicability in her book. She was still wary of the boy- he didn’t really like anyone, but Maharet was also flirtatious with him wanting to keep on the boy’s good side. Maggie was happy to ignore all the stares that they received upon entering the Great Hall. It wasn’t unusual for her to be seen with Romulus, but under the circumstances it didn’t surprise her that people were interested. Hector had just dumped her and now she was arm in arm with Rom- impressions suggested that Maharet had already moved on. She wasn’t bothered by it either. While Hector was all cranky about her cheating on him with his best friend, which made her want to laugh really, she was seemingly having a good time with a very handsome young man. Like she would be caught dead sulking over Hector Wulfe, the thought was preposterous.
Smiling sweetly at Romulus she took the offered seat and his gentlemanly gesture graciously. Taking her seat Maggie looked up at him amused by his question. “I’m thinking a nice, chiseled cut of meat- I am quite fond of it in my mouth, tasty really.” He wasn’t wrong in claiming her a dirty girl. The giggle that passed through her lips seemed awfully bubbly, which only made it more ironic for her and the looks that she got from those around them was delicious. She poured herself a glass of water sipping at it gingerly.
