Post by KINGSLEY AVIDORAS SHACKLEBOLT on Jun 5, 2011 18:13:20 GMT -6
The usual purple robes didn't elude him today and there had been much planning put into this feast. As rows of pumpkins aligned the many tables in front of them, and sure this was a feast, there would be a contest just for fun. No one really had to carve anything, but the best pumpkin that was carved up before the feast was over in the end, then they'd at least get a whole set of berty bott's every flavored beans, and probably some chocolate frogs to go with it. Kingsley remembered when he was younger and his Halloween feast was just as exciting as all of the previous ones throughout the many years he had been at Hogwarts. Sure, the headmaster had put a lot of effort into this along with his staff helping him out to set it up.
With all of the ruckus going on about the attacks, he was glad this would take his mind off of it for a while, and there was a carving knife near each of the pumpkin's at least the ones he was wanting to show to the students. The first years though would have to be under supervision before they even attempting cutting it for fear of cutting themselves. Kingsley always held the heads of their own tables responsible for making sure that this went well. Even the many tables were lined up with orange colors and the great hall was decorate with many witches flying around in the air with the nice night sky. It wasn't the color of outside, but he had made it dramatic to the point that thunder would boom over it occasionally.
It was originally meant to scare the students as they entered, and lightning would crack along it usually as the sound jolted his entire audience. Oh yes, this was going to be spectacular as he took up his regal spot at the head table. Even the decorations were brought out with the many ghosts in the area too, and the comical Peeves had even been there to help out a little bit. Sure, the ghost could get annoying at times, but he found him quite the specter at throwing a good party. Sure, he had pulled his many pranks on Kingsley, but he never got away with them. Tilting his wizard's cap to the side slightly as the tassel seemed to fall to the left side now while gesturing towards his audience.
For the students that were entering he would clap his hands to make the room darken slightly and then a huge thundering noise would proceed to follow along with cobwebs along the corners of the many areas of the great hall. It was basically designed to attempt to scare everyone there, but surely some of the darker people would find it to their liking. Licking his lips softly, he snapped his fingers making all the candles light up at once, and soon was starting to speak again. Waiting for the rest of the students to enter the hall. Not that they would need to worry about being late for this, after all, it wasn't the first time he had seen a few tardy people make their way in.
A few of the pumpkins though would probably have a spell in them est to make them give eerie smiles to the students as they would sit down, a clever device he thought would be amusing in the long run. Now he was speaking in his deep voice. "Now, the pumpkins are just for decoration, and please enjoy the Halloween feast, I hope you have enjoyed your stay at Hogwarts this year so far, we will keep up to date on all the events," he mentioned. With a wave of his wand food covered the table, pumpkin pie, along with the usual delicacies found at the normal Halloween feast.

• • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • The Halloween feast was one of her favorites. She loved the season of halloween just because of the weather and the many colors. Also the enchantment that came with all hallows eve. She was in a very good mood this day in particular because she could now use magic outside school and was officially separated from her family. She walked into the great hall with a smile. That was indeed something rare for her. She took her usual seat at the Gryffindor. It was slightly isolated from the others but at the same time close enough to hear the slight conversations.
She was wearing her basic school robe, a black skirt, and a white tank. She was not in the full uniform but she really did not feel like changing into it. Her hair was out of her face as half of it was tide up and the bottom half was down. She had just recently re-dyed it black so there were no traces of the brown color it naturally was. She waited patiently for the other students to file in and for the headmaster to start speaking.
The effects this year were defiantly amazing. Alaya smirked at the headmaster when he mentioned the pumpkins. They were fun to watch and even more so to see the reaction of the first years. She looked down at her plate. She was not much of a sweet person. She usually stuck to her meet and half the time ate before going to the great hall so she could eat her rare meat without the prying eyes of her peers. She took a bite of the pie, savoring it's flavor. It wasn't too sweet and had the perfect balance of spices. She expected this night to be fun if not interesting.

Val strutted into the Great Hall. She always felt like whenever she walked in front of large groups of people that they were starting at her. Conceited? Yes. Ignorant? Maybe. However in her personal opinion she and her sisters were three of the prettiest girls around. Even if she and Zmey looked nothing alike whatsoever. She looked to the Slytherin table. Not too many people filtered in. Her father had told her a story that before the second war really took off one of her father's lord's own released a mountain troll in the dungeon. Val always wondered how a human could lead a mountain troll from the mountains all the way to the Hogwarts dungeon without being seen but that was neither here nor there. She always thought every Halloween that something incredible would happen.
She listened to Headmaster Shacklebolt's little speech before the feast. Although she knew that her family had aligned with the death eaters during the second war, she did not mind the headmaster. In fact she thought to herself, secretly of course, that he would be a fascinating person to sit down and have a cup of coffee with as he would probably have tons of stories. She saw the magical amount of food appear before her plate. She scanned the hall, no sign of her sister. She then conceded or her stomach conceded that it was time to eat and she went straight for the pumpkin pie, a goblet of pumpkin juice and pumpkin pasties. Val smiled at her plate she was certainly noticing a theme here. She ate gratefully and smiled and chatted with her housemates. She was sure the Ravenclaw, Gryffindor, and Hufflepuff tables were fine but in Val's book nothing beat a nice, festive, Slytherin dinner. As she ate she thought about all the year her grandparents took to muggle custom and dressed her up as a princess and took her out for candy. She doesn't remember much about that night but she did clearly remember the stomach ache the next morning. As the memories flooded back to her she could feel a grin creeping across her face.

Ethan seriously considered not attending the Halloween feast. He really wanted nothing to do with it. Holidays were always the worst for Ethan. The images of what could of been haunted him more during the times of celebration. For the past two years Ethan had skipped the feast finding it unbearable to force himself through. This year turned out to be different, Ethan felt a change. It seemed a little bit easier to be involved with such activities. The pain of his sister's death was still very much alive in him but this year it was like a voice was urging him to attend the feast and possible escape his torn mind for a few hours tonight.
So Ethan left the Slytherin common room, his expression indifferent, and made his way up to the Great Hall. As he entered the lights dimmed down and a loud thunderous sound erupted above him, but it did not frighten him. Although he was a sixth year his age was two years above that. Ethan was eighteen so such childish tricks to scare kids didn't get to him. He noticed the many decorations the he knew the staff had worked hard on but he felt no joy looking at them. There were pumpkins every where, orange banners, black cats, witches, and the school ghosts flying about. Ethan was unamused by it all.
It was saddening to see Ethan so miserable during his favorite Holiday. During his younger years Ethan remembered scaring his brothers, always playing fun tricks on them making his baby sister laugh. Then when late evening arrived Ethan and his brothers would take Amara out to do the muggle way of celebrating Halloween. Amara always loved to dress up in fun costumes but her favorite was that of a ballerina. Amara loved to dance so the costume fit her perfectly. Ethan always enjoyed anytime he spent with his sister, making her happy, she was his whole world. But now his world was gone.
Making his way to the Slytherin table he wanted to back out and go hide out in the common room but he knew Amara would want him to try and enjoy himself. For her, Ethan would attempt a fun night during Halloween.

Molly never once had considered not attending the Halloween Feast. It always proved to be fun and Molly loved enjoying herself. She, however, always made sure to sit away from the first and second years, they were always frightened by the effects that the older students had become so accustomed to. She didn't necessarily dislike the younger students, she just didn't associate with many of them. They had their own groups and she had her own friends, so there was no reason for her to mix with them at all.
As soon as the tip of her shoe had barely touched the entry way of the Great Hall, she heard thunder, the lights darkened and she heard a witch's cackle above her. Molly stopped for a moment, raised her eyebrow and looked up to see the figures riding on brooms above her. It brought a small smile to her face. Headmaster Shacklebolt had really put a lot of effort into this year's decorations and it showed. Looking back down, she leveled her eyesight to her own table. Her eyes scanned it, looking for a familiar face, but she couldn't see Jaycen or Layla. That's when she realized Elijah wasn't there yet. It was a little strange that he hadn't walked down from the tower with her, now that she thought about it, but it certainly didn't bug her. She liked to give him some space, though she knew when to be there for him.
Elijah was a very sweet boy, which just made her love him a bit more each day. Yes, love, Molly was at the point of love. You know, that time when everything seems to go right and nothing can ruin your loving bliss She just hoped nothing would actually be able to ruin it. From the corner of her eye, she saw a figure walking past her and the thunder went off again. She took a step towards the boy and was about to reach out for him, when he started to make his way to the Slytherin table. Then it hit her, it wasn't Elijah, but one of his brothers. She felt a bit guilty for almost mistaking him. With a small sigh, she looked away from Ethan's face, who was now sitting with the Slytherins and she walked over to the Ravenclaw table, sat down and looked around for any of her friends.

Halloween was an... unsetlling time, to say the least, for Elijah. It was likely the same for each of his brothers. The exact reason was impossible to pinpoint accurately. After all, 'the accident' as Eli still referred to it in his mind, had occurred in the middle of the Summer and nowhere near to this energetic time of year. But there was something about the memory of excitement, about little students dressing up while their joyful voices rambled on about all of the candy that they collected back when they were home, that was like a dagger right through Elijah's heart. He hadn't participated in the festivities of the holiday himself, not since he was nine, but his sister had always been a determined fan of all things Halloween. Though this was- er, would have been her fourth year at the school, he was sure that she would have been among the younger students dressing up in their favorite costumes to celebrate the Halloween feast.
The past was the past. He knew that. He need to look forward to the future. After all, he should be graduating Hogwarts this year. This should have been the year that he stepped out into the real world, along with his brothers and friends and Molly. Instead he was to stay at Hogwarts another year to finish his education, but he still needed to start focusing on the years to come. He set his goals high; a top position at the ministry, maybe even minister of magic someday. For that he'd need to worm his way into the business, maybe try and get an interning job in a department over the Summer if that were even possible. He'd be well within the age of interns, fresh out of Hogwarts, so he didn't see why the fact he needed one more year of schooling should stop him. He still knew practically all there was to know. So he'd get a job, move out of his parent's house with all its great and terrible memories, and hopefully still have Molly when he was done with Hogwarts. That was probably his greatest fear for the year, or rather the end of it. As he felt, his relationship with his girlfriend was solid. There weren't many tensions between them, and those that existed were sorted through quickly. But next year she would already be a full fledged wizard, and he'd still be a student. That separation... he worried of what it would do to them. The last thing he wanted was to have them go so strongly since they first began dating, and fall apart because of a little bit of distance.
Speaking of Molly... as he wandered into the Great Hall behind numerous other students, his eyes instinctively searched her red hair out. It was the most distinctive feature of his beautiful girlfriend, as it was of all Weasley's. He spotted her, moving towards a figure that looked very much like him, but the way the other person held themself told him their identity. Everyone got Elijah confused with his twins, especially if you only got a glance of each of them. As he moved towards them, Molly realized her mistake and took her place at the Ravenclaw table. A few seconds later Elijah slid into his place beside her, wrapping one arm around her in a quick one armed hug. "Hey, beautiful."

Time seemed to go by so slow that it made Molly regret coming down by herself. She had been sitting there no more than a minute, but it felt like an eternity. Molly didn't like being alone, ever. Usually, she would have someone by her side, whether it be Elijah, Layla or even Jaycen. Now the one night that she was expecting to have them all together with her, they were nowhere to be found. She expected this from Jayce, he was always off doing some kind of prefect duty or breaking the hearts of many girls, so okay, she could be fine without hanging out with him this night. Layla was another story. The two girls had been joined at the hip, since Molly's second year and Layla's first. She couldn't even remember exactly when they first met, it seemed like so long ago. Ever since then, wherever Layla was, Molly was there with her. She felt the need to protect her best friend. In her eyes, Layla was still that little girl to her. Molly's maternal instincts showed whenever she saw Layla was in any trouble, but most of the time, she acted like a older sister.
Speaking of siblings, instead of looking for her own sister, her eyes traveled back to Ethan Frost. Her blue eyes lingered on his face for a second, something about him unsettled her. Her attention was brought back to the Ravenclaw table when she felt an arm go around her and she heard the warm, familiar voice of Elijah. Her face immediately brightened and she turned to him, showing him a smile. Her arms went around his neck and she leaned in to give his lips a light peck.
"I was beginning to think you weren't going to show up." She pulled back to look straight at him, it was always a perfect view for her to enjoy. She moved her arms away from his neck and grab onto his hand. She didn't know how on Earth she could ever confuse his brother for him, the way they moved was completely opposite, and she was not about to let him know that she almost made the mistake of going after Ethan.

Eli didn't really think that he could ever possibly tire of seeing her face light up like the sun whenever she saw him. Of course, you couldn't be in a relationship with someone for two years without being special to them, but the delight on her face when he came near just confirmed how much she cared for him to Elijah, and there was no way to deny how good that felt. After all, the guy was human. Being cared for had to feel good to any human being, even the fools who acted like they didn't need anyone else in the world but themselves.
The blonde haired teen smiled as she kissed his lips, feeling perfectly comfortable with her arms wrapped around his neck. He knew how extreme PDAs, or public displays of affection, could annoy everyone around a happy couple, but didn't feel that the little moments he and Molly shared were extreme in any way. It wasn't like they were practically trying to jump into each other's pants in the middle of the hallway. The way he looked at it, anyone who had an issue with the couple (though very few had ever told him they were too affectionate) were just jealous, so let them be jealous.
"'Course I wouldn't miss it," he smiled, holding her hand between them. "I was just finishing up some homework for Professor Swanepoele before I came down so that I wouldn't have to leave the feast early to get it done." It was half a truth. Sure, there had been his slight dread over Halloween that had made him hesitant to come, but he really had had an essay he desperately had needed to finish, and it had given him the excuse needed to delay going to the feast. Generally teachers were kind, and didn't give out much homework around the festivities of Halloween. This year had been no exception to that standard, and Elijah only had himself to blame for the fact that he had had homework that evening. The essay had been assigned three days earlier, but it was his procrastination that kept putting it off until today. Generally the eighteen year old didn't procrastinate; he was a Ravenclaw, and felt that that should make him keep up with his studies. Around Halloween, however, just as every major holiday that little children and families enjoyed, his focus wavered a little bit. It was a habit he knew that he needed to end.
Looking at the displays of food, an excellent feast as all meals at Hogwarts were, Elijah really wished he had a bigger appetite. Sure, he could eat a piece of pie or something, but nothing to do the meal justice. He lifted a fork by his plate for a split second before setting it back down, finding himself not hungry at the moment, and returned his attention to the stunning red-head beside him. "So, how was your day?"

Halloween this was Roxanne's second favorite holiday falling just below April fool's day. Roxanne loved any holiday that was about pranking and tricking people, although Halloween went about it in a whole different way. Halloween was more about tricking people to scare them rather than just getting away with something. Roxanne enjoyed both types of trickery, finding very easy targets in the first year students, although she knew to not be too cruel even for a sake of a joke. She did not want to ruin the holiday for those so young in age, but Roxanne had spent the day popping out of random places for a quick scare for the little ones. By the end of the day most of them just laughed at her and she would usually join in with them. Overall Roxanne had a blast today, just like she did almost every day, and was now headed down stairs to the Great Hall to attend the Halloween feast to relax a bit.
As Roxanne entered the hall she was unphased by the effects that the professors had put together. Quite honestly Roxanne never felt frightened by any of the Halloween feast she attended. The Weasley girl was practically fearless although she had one big weakness which were those creepy crawling spiders. Thankfully she didn't spot any of those tonight.
Roxanne made her way to he Gryffindor table and took a seat near Alaya. The two weren't that familiar with each other but were of the same house. Roxanne wondered if Ivan had talked to Alaya about the prank the two of them along with James were going to pull soon. She wanted to ask the girl but didn't want to give it away if she didn't really know anything about it.
Roxanne looked up at the entrance each time the thunder sounded wondering just where Ivan might be. She was craving her fellow prankster to be by her side.

Ryan was ecstatic for the Halloween feast. Sure he was a bit late, but it didn't really bother him too much, so long as he got there in time for dessert. He absolutely loved the desserts.... He shook himself from his thoughts of hunger as he descended from the Gryffindor tower. Surrounded by a mass of students, he looked around for a familiar face. Seeing no one he really wanted to talk with, he continued his leisurely walk down to the Great Hall.
Upon entering the Hall, he paused for a moment, admiring the decorations in the hall. When he heard an angry noise behind him, he apologized quickly and continued on his way to the Gryffindor table.
He looked down the table, waving at a few familiar faces and exchanged a few words with the people around him and then moved on to survey the table. He smiled at the array of food in front of him. He honestly didn't know where to begin. There was treacle tart, pumpkin pie, turkey and chicken legs, yorkshire pudding, juices, pecan pie, roast, green beans, corn and so much more.
He reached for a leg of turkey, yorkshire pudding and some green beans before digging in.

There were many other students filing into the wonderfully decorated great hall. She was always amazed by how the great hall was decorated every year for holidays. She loved the feel of the room. She tried to see if she could spot her brother in the crowd. Unfortunately, she had no luck in spotting her twin. After looking around she decide to take a seat next to some of her friends at the gryffindor table. She was hungry and was looking forward to the feast about to start.
She waited for the headmaster to speak before picking up a fork. The food appeared and she quickly filled her plate. Taking a bite of the warm pumpkin pie she smiled, savoring every flavor. It was a great evening, but she had to wonder. It was Halloween so maybe something would happen this night. She smiled at the idea. It would be really cool if something did happen to make the night more interesting. But for now she was content with enjoying the food and the company of her friends. It was going to be a great evening.

One by one the books were stacked into neat piles in the truck at the foot of the bed. This was an action that rarely happened but Shailene needed the extra support to resist spending the Halloween feast up in her room studying. She dusted her hands off with a determined smile on her face, "Out of sight, out of mind." She said closing the truck with a quick snap. It wasn't as if the Hufflepuff preferred to study over enjoying herself down at the feast but she had a bit of a hard time neglecting her education even if it was just for one night.
Shailene adored holidays, it brought the kid out in her. She knew as soon as she left the Hufflepuff dorm where her books were safely locked up she would have a blast downstairs in the Great Hall. Checking to make sure her wizarding robed were in order, for she had no costume feeling a bit old to take it to that level, she left the Hufflepuff basement and ascended the stairs to the ground floor. Year after year in never seemed to disappoint her, the decorations were always out of this world and the spirit of the school was highly charged. Shailene couldn't help but smile as she entered the Great Hall. A blast of thunder mixed with lightening sounded overhead causing Shailene to jump. She felt so silly for letting that frighten her that she just let out a small laugh.
Shailene made her way over to the Hufflepuff table which was completely empty. She couldn't help but smell the amazing aroma as she passed by other tables. "Guess I get first pick of the seats." She said with a pleasant smile as she took a seat.

Ooooooo! Zmeyette shouted as she entered the Great Hall. It was becoming her trademark noise this year. She was one of the few that owned being a werewolf and didn't care to let people know even if her last name gave it away. She had no secrets to hide. Zmeyette loved Halloween, it was her favorite holiday by far surpassing all the rest. It was something about the mood of the holiday, fear and laughter mixed together. Zmeyette couldn't ask for a better way to spend a holiday.
Zmeyette wished that tonight could of been the full moon, how amazing it would have been to spend her favorite holiday in her preferred form, but the full moon had been over a week ago. Zmeyette's body was still recovering the last aches and pains of the transformation were fading away. Looking around, Zmeyette spotted her sister and decided to join her. They were always together and Zmeyette would have it no other way. Although she did wish her sister Val was more like herself, Val was extremely nice, even to those who had turned their back on the family. It just didn't make sense and perhaps if they had met here at Hogwarts rather than grow up together things would have been different, but their bond ran deep.
"Hey Val, did you like my entrance?" She asked with a sly smile.

Post by IVAN VLADISLAV KIRKE on Jun 21, 2011 18:36:03 GMT -6
Ivan was certainly not scared as he walked into the hall, choosing a rather plain attire, that many knew he wore by now. Unwary of the prying eyes that turned his direction when he walked in, hands stuffed into his pockets. The trade-mark bed hair look giving him away easily since he recalled being one of the few to actually leave his hair the way it was after taking a shower. Keeping up his hygiene was important if he was going to impress anyone today, for now it would be Roxanne, but he was fair game. After all, she hadn't really claimed him as her own yet, and he was just here for the fun of the feast.
Having spent most of his day timing pranks on the other seventh or sixth years since it was hard to keep them on their toes. Ivan was one of the few that liked having a bit of an articulate method to his pranks in general, but he hadn't really learned from Roxanne's mishap earlier. As there were still buckets with eggs in them littered around the school she hadn't found him putting up, and this time he made sure the door was open wide enough so that there was enough space to get in. Most people got dowsed in water and the few that were left dripping wet were usually the unlucky ones. Ivan had a good laugh until they used the water spell on him to get him back.
Luckily, it was all in good fun, but the yolk on the eggs for some of his victims probably set them off, yet he knew fully well how to hide himself from detection. It was rather easy to catch some of the other students off guard by just yelling at them to confuse them as was another of Ivan's trademark to confuse his victims. Usually if he had a target though, he stuck with it, and didn't veer off course. The thunder in the sky crackled and he wasn't even startled as he made his way towards the Gryffindor table soon reaching Roxanne's side. "My, I almost mistook you for an angel, sorry I'm late, I was hoping to catch some other first years off guard by pretending to trip them to tease them...fun stuff, anything I missed?" he asked politely.
Ivan really didn't care if he had missed the opening speech since he had been busy pulling one last prank before attending the feast. Having taken a seat beside Roxanne, he kissed her cheek in return for what she had done the other day. 'Just repaying the favor' he whispered to her.

Val finished off a large slice of pumpkin pie when she heard a "Ooooo!" from the front of the hall. Although Val was generally more reserved then her sister she followed suit "Oooooo!" She howled back. She sat somewhat stunned at her reaction. She waited for Z to make her way over to the Slytherin table. She looked around and did not see any of her other siblings there. She pouted. She knew her family was ahem, dysfunctional but Val loved to at least wish them happy Halloween on this day where their other form is actually celebrated rather than feared. Val saw Zemy walk over to the Slytherin table. All was right with the world. The Greyback Sisters were together after a day apart. Most of their peers did not seem to understand the bond the two shared and most questioned the closeness as well they were complete opposites. Val chalked it up to a very strong history and the fact that she could hold her own beliefs with people like Zemy. She also saw that if she could remain friends with everyone her future in politics could be not so out of reach if her days of healing are tiring her out.
When Zmeyette asked about her entrance Val smirked. "Nothing less than what I expect from you deary." She smirked and gave her sister a hug "Happy Halloween!" She squealed. Val loved Halloween but her clearest memories were along the lines of dressing up like a princess when the moon was not full. After she lived with Fenrir she obviously did not abide by muggle customs but she would still get on a crown, a dress, and a scepter and play princess with her dad and make him the king. It was one of her favorite memories and it was the one she sometimes used to conjure a patronus charm. "So Z, are you ready to stuff your face and maybe steal candy from a first year?" Val asked while quirking an eyebrow feeling exceptionally more devilish then what she normally did. Must have been the holiday bringing out the worst in her. She picked up another stash of candy and a slice of pumpkin pie. It was no secret Val was a sugar junkie but Halloween gave her an excuse to go overboard.

Tonight was the Halloween feast which meant that all Professors had to attend. Not that Makenzie minded much, it was nice to see the children so excited about things, even if it was just candy. Makenzie made her way from her office down in the dungeons to the Great Hall. She was arriving a bit late because she was grading potions and papers. Makenzie had intended to hand out the grades to her classes the next day in her class. Many of her students hadn't bothered to turn anything in, perhaps there was just too much focus on events like the tournament, Halloween feast, and ball that students were starting to neglect their responsibilities.
Luckily Makenzie was willing to let the lack of assignments go, just for this month, but she would be given a warning if her students decided to keep this up. Being only twenty-three years of age she hadn't forgotten what it was like to be a student, although not inside these very walls for she attended Beauxbaton, but there wasn't much difference.
Makenzie made her way into the Great Hall, aiming her walk toward the front table. She was seated near the far right side from the students perspective. The decorations were lovely in an eerie sort of way, Makenzie wished she could of helped out more during the decorating but she had been busy with other things at that time. Makenzie took her seat at the table and watched over the children waiting for another adult to come and talk with her.

The reflection beamed happily back at herself. Arianna stood in the middle of her dorm with a full length mirror before her. A light blue dress fit her body perfectly. It had a tight bodice until it reached her waist and then it poofed out just like a typical princess dress. Arianna was going to dress up for the Halloween feast, it was an excuse to wear what she felt most comfortable in. No one at Hogwarts knew that she was the Princess of Luxembourg and she planned to keep it that way. But tonight she could be the Princess of Hogwarts, she liked the title so much that she made a banner that stated it.
Her blonde locks were let down and she placed a tiara on top if her head. "Much more like myself." She said with a smile to the girl looking back at her. Arianna turned to leave and made her way down from the Ravenclaw tower to the Great Hall. She received many stares and double-takes but after all it was Halloween and she was going to enjoy herself. She gave the people who stared a proper Princess wave, smiling back at them the whole way.
Arianna entered the Great Hall and was surprised to see she was one of the few people who had decided to dress up. She made her way to the Ravenclaw table, finding it hard to take a seat due to her dress but she only laughed at the whole situation. After trying to five minutes Arianna finally got comfortable.

Vasilisa just didn't understand all the hype about the Halloween feast it was the same thing year after year. Almost everything stayed the same, only the decorations varied slightly. After attending this feast during the previous five years she wasn't sure why she even bothered to attend for a sixth time. But yet it beat sitting around in the common room doing nothing since everyone seemed to want to come to the feast. Although the comparison between the two wasn't much different, she would find herself bored either way.
Vasilisa strolled to the Slytherin table, paying no mind to the thunder noises created by people entering the Great Hall. Taking a seat away from the others who occupied her table, she looked over the decoration. "Could this get any lamer." She sighed to herself. Thankfully she had got wind of the after party and would be leaving this dull place soon. The famous Demen boys were holding it and Vasilisa was sure it would be epic. She had her costume waiting on her bed, she couldn't wait to slip into it and have a bit of a scandalous time.

Each time the thunder went off as someone enter the reactions never got old. Roxanne was enjoying watching many of the students below her either jump, scream, or, in the cases of the first years, almost pee their pants. Roxanne laughed at all of them but in good spirit though. She couldn't understand why a little thunder would frighten so many people but it was probably just the same for others that didn't understand her own fear of spiders.
Roxanne waited patiently for someone to arrive to keep her company. It didn't take long before she was hearing one of Ivan's cheesy lines that she couldn't help but find cute. "I'm sure I'm no angel Mr. Kirke. I don't think an angel would find any amusement in pranks. They are too holy." She said, giving him a playful smirk. Roxanne loved to bust his bubble a bit. As Ivan sat down next to her she didn't expect for him to kiss her on the cheek, a small blush crept up in her cheeks as she smiled. "I was wondering when you were going to do that." Roxanne said.
"No, you haven't missed anything at all. Nothing spectacular has happened yet." Roxanne informed Ivan.

Donovan, one of the renowned teachers that was notorious for dressing up as something crazy during the festive times such as this. Yes, he was going to be extravagant as usual, but it was worth it after all the eye shadow he had put on to put any woman to shame. I mean come on, even the make up he had on his face looked so unrealistic it could be a plastic mask holding it all up. Surely, the mustache and beard were real enough for people. That bold look to him and the fact he had gone all out as he had on a red bandana underneath the brown pirate hat he had managed to sneak off from one of the staff areas. Most of his costume was made from burlap and had it around his chest.
Wearing a white shirt underneath the vest that covered his shirt, and wearing brown leather pants with many pockets on the sides and tassels flopping every direction. Upon his waist was a belt with a sword attached to it, along with many pirating accessories, mainly a compass, and a telescope. Oh yes, he was going all out as he had mentioned earlier, as he was soon trailing a hand along his fine mustache as if examining the premise before walking in. Even the bolt of thunder that roared across the ceiling didn't frighten him as he was glad to see he wasn't the only one who had dressed up. Walking cautiously forward as if he was attempting to get used to his surroundings.
Dazzling effects, he thought to himself, but sometimes the headmaster overdid it with displays like that as he saw a few first years run out screaming or towards their friends within the great hall. What fun there was to be had with such an event, but he was sure that wasn't what everyone was waiting for. Oh no, he knew most of them were waiting for when the first task would be announced for all of the champions, however, he really wasn't too concerned seeing as the headmaster was always busy with working on that. Once the lightning and thunder had grown old he soon focused on his spot at the head table next to the other professors. Normally he would have sat with some of the others, but his eyes were on Makenzie.
She looked as regal as ever, and he really didn't need to impress her at all since they had been old friends since they had met when she had first started teaching her. It was amusing that she hadn't gone to Hogwarts at all, but here she was in front of him. Not that it mattered, as it was just a mutual friendship at the moment. "Ahoy! Ye scandy land-lubbers, where can I find some rum around here," he slurred off in a rather convincing pirate accent as he stumbled forward. Bringing out his wand and then a glass appeared in his hand. "Ahr, there it be, but it would be weird if was not there at all," he commented again loud enough for the whole room to hear.
Even if he wasn't providing enough entertainment for them, he could try as he soon let his brown leather boots trod on the ground towards the head table, soon making his way around. Having to be careful so that his sword didn't hit anybody by accident on the way by them. The captain's hat a top of his head was soon taken off, and then he bowed rather eccentrically in front of the head master. Finally moving up towards the head table, and taking a seat beside Makenzie, he was grinning stupidly for a moment. It was obvious he had wanted to be in the spirit and was sure he had captured it now.
"Hmm..think I overdid it a bit, eh love?" he teased her as if he was considering her that, but if she knew him that's what he called every girl. Considering the fact that he normally was quite the gentleman, but it didn't mean she was special at all at the moment. Only when they conversed alone, but he disregarded that fact at the moment. Stroking his thin beard in thought once more, looking down at her playfully. Then he stopped that, since he found it rather rude in general, looking at the great hall, as well as all the decorations. Even a party such as this, well, it was only a feast, so he'd have time for a staff party later. At least if others were willing to start one, but he wasn't worried about it.
