Ivan knew fully well that she was saying nothing interesting had happened even when he had walked in. Although, he knew that the thunder coming in would scare those that were already worried enough about spiders, but that fear was understandable. Those things had eight legs and tickled when they climbed up your arm, although he had no problem with the little ones. It was those huge acromantulas he was scared of, but that was well within reason due to the fact they were considered XXXXX by the ministry of magic. Even the children weren't something to be trifled with, but somehow you could take them out one way. Most of the dangerous creatures didn't bother him much.
Even this genuine prankster had some ideas for the end of the year as he blushed when Roxanne had said that as if she had been expecting it sooner. Why would it be so wrong for him to do that now, but he really hadn't wanted to ruin the mood earlier when they were planning a huge prank for the two of them to pull off. Sure, they would let a few others in on it, but the more the merrier he guessed. Plus, Gryffindor was definitely the one house to get all the pranks off at once, but he did know quite a few Hufflepuffs that would have helped them out too.
Not that it mattered now as he was then smirking in return towards her, "Oh don't worry, I planned on something else, but figured it was too soon. It would seem a little odd this early on," he admitted to her. Although, he had considered snogging, but not in front of this many people. Not only that, he found it nasty at times when people were out in the open doing it, I mean, hadn't they heard of PDA before? Or maybe that was just for muggles, but still, not everyone wants to see you smothering yourself over your loved one. That was Ivan's thoughts, but somehow changed when he looked into Roxanne's eyes. Then turned his attention back to the extravagant teacher making his way towards the head table.
"Well, at least the Ancient Runes Professor dressed up convincingly well," he said and chuckled, slightly amused by his performance.

Honestly the Halloween feast just wasn't as much fun for the Professors as it was for the students. Which was entirely expected seeing as the feast was made especially for the students of Hogwarts but it saddened her that at such a young she was so unattached to her childish side. Maybe she was just a bit too uptight or maybe it was due to her upbringing. In beauxbaton one was raised to be a proper lady, not one to run around screaming and playing. She was pondering on the idea if perhaps, if she could go back, would she give it up for a life full of foolishness and laughter when a person dressed as a very dashing and flamboyant pirate came strolling in creating a scene.
Makenzie could hardly hold back a fit of giggles as she realized that the pirate was Donovan. "Only him." She said laughing. She watched as he made his way down the isle and up to the professor's table. "I'm not sure that the rum is needed, you look as if you are stumbling already." Makenzie said, a smile bright on her face. "This is an amazing costume. You should of told me you were going to dress up, I could of been your first mate." She said, looking over Donovan. Who knew he would make such a handsome pirate. "Or would I have to be your wench seeing as most pirates don't like woman aboard their ships."
"You've done it perfectly. I must be honest, I'm not sure I can resist you in this outfit." A blush crept up to her cheeks a bit for admitting such a statement. "You must of been working on this a long time. You have everything down to a T."

A pleasant smile was planted on Roxanne's face as her tummy seemed to flutter. Were those butterflies in her stomach? She wasn't quite sure. Of course Roxanne had been used to some male attention as her hormones had kicked in during her third year and the males in their fourth. But she had not thought she would like someone as much as she adored Ivan. It seemed strange out of all the years she had been in this school as well as the same house as him, the two have never talked before. Was it wasted time or perfect timing? Roxanne was unsure.
Roxanne Weasley was a great deal like her aunt Ginny. She had heard stories about how many guys found her aunt quite stunning and alluring with her prankster ways. But her aunt had always known who she really wanted which was Roxanne's uncle Harry. Was this the same? Was Ivan her Harry? Roxanne shook her head lightly, playing it off as if she was moving her hair out of her face. No, she would not think of such things that were dripping with fantasy. She was not that type of girl and did not want to be bothered with the what ifs.
"Did you now?" She smiled liking the idea that Ivan had wanted something else from her. "I guess you really are a gentleman." She added referring to their first encounter. Roxanne really appreciated that Ivan was taking it slow, she was only fifteen. Much more unexperienced than she assumed Ivan was.
Roxanne actually laughed at Professor Rhodes. "He certainly is enjoying himself." Roxanne said watching the crazy professor truly own his pirate costume. "I should of dressed up." She added in her own after thought.

Donovan knew that his outfit was definitely going to be the life of the party but he was more focused on Makenzie than any of the other students right now. Not even care if they saw him starting to massage her shoulders as they traveled lightly down her back jus to tease her, but he wasn't about to give her the time of day just yet. It was far from actually starting to keep his attention on her own eyes as she was looking at him, but he had to be rather sincere. Ever since their outings they've had for a while, but he was definitely starting to fall for her. Hearing what she said indeed would have made a normal guy blush as he stumbled playfully to the side pretending he was drunk off his ass. It wasn't hard to do since he could easily pull it off, and now here he was, the life of the party again. Donovan was getting much more used to Hogwarts, but since he had started teaching here, there was always someone new to teach.
Many of the seventh year girls sure liked to be all over him, but he didn't let them have their way only unless they wanted special treatment. Of course, that usually included just taking them out to a pub to tell them the truth straight out about teacher/student relationships. After all, he doesn't smile upon it and likes to encourage students away from it. Even one of the other teachers he hangs out with has a habit of flirting with his students, or so he's heard. Donovan doesn't really mind, but just as long as no one finds out about it is usually the best part. Shrugging his shoulders, he soon whispered into Makenzie's ear softly, "Well if you're my wench, then get me more rum, oh and by the way, I would take you here just the way you are, if we weren't in the presence of so many honorable people. Of course, I mean in a kissing sense, but I'm sure you can oblige me by meeting me sometime later near my den?" he teased her softly. "Ahr, Avast ye maties, who here is trying to plot a mutiny, I'll have ye walk the planks?!?" he said, accusing the students as he soon took a seat beside Makenzie.
Now just pretending to put an arm around her, but he kept it at his side as he just brushed it across her shoulders once. So she could feel the bulk of his muscles underneath the clothing he wore, and hoping to give her a lasting impression that would certainly make her want to swoon he hoped.

Oh, Ivan could be a gentleman, he just chose not to half the time as it wasn't as fun being the goody two-shoes sitting in the back of the room twiddling their thumbs. Even as many Slytherin's would be waiting after class just to have their way with them, but that's what Ivan was here for. One of the few that dedicated his pranks to protecting the least likely to actually rebel against him. Of course, he still got on everyone's nerves when he tried pulling pranks, and it was even better when he was in cohorts with Peeves. Oh yes, that ghost sure loved to create just as much havoc as Ivan did, and he used it fully to his advantage. Sometimes it was a one-sided partnership when they were throwing water balloons at each other, and it was really fun doing that.
Thank goodness Peeves would never change and he may be a prankster ghost. It was true he'd stay at Hogwarts until the end of time as he didn't want anything to happen here. Still, those attacks hadn't gone unnoticed, and he was sure to get revenge on whoever had harmed one of their precious Gryffindor's. Yes, the flamboyantly strange professor was quite the party today, and he noticed very few others had dressed up as well. In fact, he was feeling slightly under-dressed with just his original clothing on as most other people at least had some Halloweeny stuff on. That was a fun word to think about, but he then clapped lightly at the Professor's costume. Ivan could have done better himself and wasn't about to start a contest though.
Looking down at the pumpkins on the table, he wondered if there was going to be some sort of pumpkin carving contest. Yet, that probably wouldn't happen til sometime later when it was actually near the end of the feast. It was immensely exciting sitting there with Roxanne as he soon turned towards her, "Well, I may be a gentleman sometimes, but that doesn't mean I can't compliment on how beautiful you always look. After all, I'm surprised you can keep all the boys off of you, he said to her.
