RONAN DARA CONNOLLY

A FEW LITTLE WORDS

Ronan Dara Connolly is a thirty one year old, ex professional quidditch player, who now teaches flying at Hogwarts. He's a relaxed guy who's always up for having a laugh, except if it's at his expense during one of his lessons. He's obsessed with Quidditch and will hardly ever call off one of his lessons, which has led to many a complaint about having a lesson during a hailstorm. He's friendly and always willing to listen if anyone needs someone to talk to in confidence. He's good with secrets. A secret shared with Ronan, is a secret that remains secret. He's the new Head of Hufflepuff, his old house and so he's always cheering them on and trying not to show too much favouritism towards them. It takes a lot for Ronan to lose his cool, which is why some students tend to take advantage and mess about in his lessons. He's not really a fan of docking points or sending students to detention for little things, but if a student steps over the mark, they'll be on their way out faster than they can say Quidditch.

RONAN & FRIENDS

Ronan is extremely loyal to his friends. He'll watch your back no matter what. He'll keep your secrets, derail any rumours floating around and be there whenever you need him. Of course any friends will have to understand Ro's obsession with Quidditch. He has a little habit of bringing presents to his closest friends. Now these presents will arrive in the middle of the night and usually have a little note attached. The gift could be anything from a particularly shiny stone to a plait of grass plucked from the Quidditch Pitch. If you're down he'll try and cheer you up with a little joke, or usually making a fool of himself without actually meaning to.

RONAN & LOVERS

Ronan is looking for the one, it's safe to say. He just wants to settle down and have a family. It's such a simple request, but it's proving a lot more difficult than he anticipated. He wants to find someone who loves him just the way he is, Quidditch obsession included. For the moment, everything is on hold, sure he's been on the occasional date but nothing serious.

RONAN & ENEMIES

Everyone makes enemies and Ronan is no exception. He tries to make an effort with everyone he meets but sometimes there's just no hope. He has no time for muggleborn haters, he just doesn't see the point in some people being better than others just because of their blood. It just doesn't make sense to him.

LYRA && RONAN - well as a hufflepuff, lyra would definetly know her head of house, add to that that she's the quidditch captain for hufflepuff then i'm darn sure her and ronan would've talked on occasion. lyra really wants to be a proffessional quidditch player once she leaves hogwarts so i could see her going to ronan to ask for advice or help or just to generally talk to on occasion. she'd find his quidditch obbsession a passion and something to be admired, and perhaps they can share tips and hints about quidditch. so yeah, lyra would probably respect and admire him/ look up to him sorta thing. Ronan and Louis
Yes a Wealsey in Hufflepuff, . Louis is a quiet guy so i dont think there would be too much problems between these two. Lou doesnt particularly like breaking the rules although he does sometimes, especially to go to the kitchen late at night. Lou would definitely respect this guy and look up to him from time to time

Ronan and Lucian
Ah so your the guy that'll have to put up with this bad boy...werewolf. They'd definitely know each other but i dont think they would like each other very much seeing as Lucian hates both muggles and wizards, with a couple of exceptions

Ronan and Alexis
Well Ronan was a year ahead of her and in a different house when the were in school, but i can see these two being very good friends, prehaps she turned to him when Roland disappeared and has remained close to Ronan since then, prehaps besties and confidants?

Fifth year prefect and also in the same house, plus he'd have major respect for him, although he has a shy and quiet personality. There is a deep, wild side to him not many get to see.

Seizel x Ronan

Flying instructor, he'll find that Seizel was probably one of his most enthused students about Quidditch, since he loves the sport. Also, loves flying, and he's the one that can usually be seen out on the quidditch pitch almost every day even if it's raining. Sometimes he'll even go out during the coldest days when no one else wants to brave the weather, sure he may be crazy, but he's smart enough to know when to go back inside. Plus I'm sure he gets a lot of quidditch tips from Ronan, so I can see them getting along well.

Now that I see Kara has posted about him being her best friends, there's going to be some resentment towards Roland...he disappeared. Only to take vengeance for his brother being hung in front of his home. No one will know why he's disappeared until I actually make a post with him showing up at Alexis's place to explain his story. So if you want your character to be part of the thread when he returns, it's going to be a little plot story by itself I thinks. Can't really think of much else, perhaps he chews Roland out for disappearing, until he tells his story about why he left, but thinks Roland should have at least told everyone where he was going. Instead of making everyone worry about him.

Plus he was a year before Roland, but the Ravenclaw was always busy with his studies during his years at Hogwarts. Of course, if he was best friends with Alexis, then I'm sure they would have met easily as he was going to confess his feelings to her before he upped and left...also cause it was his parents that mainly set Roland off blaming him for his brother's death. Yeah, drama's fun, so if you want to discuss this with me I'm totally cool with that.

TAYLOR && RONAN - hehe i know we've already kinda spoken about these two but i thought i'd post it here it help with being able to keep track of his relationships. so yeah, finals for these two ? xD as they'd have played against each other in their proffessional teams, and yeah, and i reckon she'd have had a thing for him even playing against him. then of course, they see each other at hogwarts and it's like 'heeey its you'! then que flirtin' and secretivness from everyone else incase proffessor + proffessor relationships are forbidden (i dunno) hehe and yes .. from there if all goes to plan? if that's still how ya wanna do it xD -ish confirming-

As a Hufflepuff prefect, I'm sure Josceline and Ronan would know each other. For Josceline's part, she definitely has a healthy dose of respect for her head of house. And depending on when he became the new Head of House, he might have helped her through her first year because she was so distraught.

I don't see much going on here. Dante's not a particularly skilled flier and he's not prone to getting in trouble because he's such a stickler for rules.

The only character of mine that I can see interacting with him often (though Lily could actually be a fan of him because she loves flying) is Evangelina Swanepoele, my Ravenclaw head. She's a whole lot older than him, has a daughter and all that jazz. I'm thinking friends? Probably not close friends, since she can't relate that well to people so much younger than her, but they're both teachers and both heads of their respective houses so she'd respect him and joke around with him about whose house is better, that sort of thing.
