Post by KINGSLEY AVIDORAS SHACKLEBOLT on May 3, 2011 17:07:39 GMT -6
The hall had been decorated magnificently and the sky this time showed flames licking around in the sky as if they were clouds flowing over, rolling into the distance. It was dark and cloudy, with spouts of lightning shooting through the great hall when anyone entered. Then it would change to light as it would do it with every student that entered, just to give that spectacular effect since this was a major event. It only happened every so often, but having discussed it with the other Professors. There was much to discuss, but the results were honestly up to the Goblet of Fire, not Kingsley, donning his purple robes. Brushing aside the tassel that was in his way, moving it to the back of his head.
The tables were decorated as well, and it looked almost more lively than the welcoming ceremony since this was vaguely more important than that. Sure, Kingsley liked welcoming the student but he acknowledged Neville, who suddenly had to go rushing out right before it even started. There was concern in Kingsley's eyes, however, his smile remained. When those two students entered, his eyes glistened with something vaguely similar to how Dumbledore would have acted as if he noticed nothing. It was obvious to his staff he was certainly disturbed by something.
Movement within the Slytherin table had caught his eye, but he seemed to pay it no mind. There would be an explanation after wards he was sure, but he let Neville go out to the hall in urgency. Even as the students had came in and easily mentioned this, Kingsley would hear about it. The Goblet of Fire was up on the head table where everyone could see it and it's flames flickered up into the air. Spewing forth up to the ceiling of the Great Hall, and then finally died down. When all the students and everyone else had arrived he would officially start taking out the names. It would be a great display since even Kingsley didn't know the results.
Surely this would be a good year for he had an idea of what the tasks should be too, however, it would take time to set those up. A smile came to his complexion as he then held both his hands up in the air shouting out, "WELCOME!!! TO THE GOBLET OF FIRE CEREMONY! We will be naming the champions for each house, and may the best be chosen!!! I know you've been waiting for this moment, but the anticipation is too much soon the Goblet will name it's first choice!!! I know you all will do your best to succeed in these tasks!!" he finished, his voice resonating throughout the hall as soon as the voices were down to a dimmer. Even so, it was like he could hear the whispering amongst the crowd. Now he would let his hands fall down to his sides.
Of course soon the sky above soon took on daylight after these words left his mouth and the Goblet of Fire's flames flickered up high into the air until they died down to a simmer, yet still burned at a slow pace. The fire was eagerly whipping about within the cup, eager to spew out it's first victim, but not until he knew people were here. As well as the fact everyone had at least arrived. This was, indeed going to be a fun tournament and thanked his other heads for bringing this idea to him earlier for the idea. Sure, he had part of the idea itself, but they also helped set most of it up.

Post by JACOB CONWAY WARRINGTON on May 3, 2011 17:17:23 GMT -6
It wasn't too long ago he was here, but he knew that this wouldn't be disappointing at all. Let the fools have their fun, but Jacob kept his thoughts immensely quiet since he knew about the other legilimens within the area. He wasn't worried about Olivia reading his mind, but he kept his thoughts blocked out only to thinking about the Goblet of Fire. Having sneaked in from after that attack, he had to keep his mind pre-occupied even as adrenaline was rushing through him at the moment. Unable to stop from thinking about anything else besides who would be named. Did he know anyone that he liked from any houses that had put their names in the Goblet of Fire?
Jacob was unsure but he sat there uninterested in the events. It was too bad their rejoices would be short-lived, even in this time of peace and harmony. There was a darker plot brewing, making his way as he looked around for Chun, although knew the other Slytherin girl would of course be there at least by Olivia. Even as he tapped his fingers idly against the table, he soon leaned over to his fellow gang that he hung out with almost all the time. Not even mentioning a word as he gave Olivia a hand signal that indicated he had done his task. A grin escaped his lips, but he remained firmly silent.
Then pretended the grin was for the Goblet of Fire Ceremony, now putting on his best act of all, the one of not being suspicious. Oh yes, this was going to be a fun year indeed, and he had most of it so far. Little did they know what was to come, and his smirk only widened a little. Clapping tremendously for whoever else was on their way here. Then he greeted the few other Slytherin's he cared to mingle with. A few of them there was a slight distinction in his voice that tensed him up a little as he made it obvious that he disliked them. "I honestly hope the results aren't as predictable as I think they are, one of the Potters will probably be chosen, cause most likely they entered, for their own fame," he said, hoping at least Albus had caught that...although he soon piped down.

This was one ceremony that Seizel was definitely not going to be late for since he didn't want to miss who got chosen. Luckily he had been almost one of the first ones there at the ceremony. Having to dodge the horde of people working their way into the room, and then the sky flashed bright causing him to jump a little at that. It seemed whenever each student entered, a new resounding crack of lightning struck the sky. Even as flames flicked against the ceiling with magnificence of the chalice on the head table just resting there. It seemed too magnificent in it's own right, and Seizel honestly wanted to just take it to his own room to stash away since he knew the value of such an artifact.
Even after studying it he was sure that there was a deep connection between it and Hogwarts though, as he remembered in the History of Magic class about the Tri-wizard Tournament a while ago. Well, a loong time ago according to Seizel since he didn't care about the details, just focusing on the tasks wondering if any of those would be brought into play during this House Tournament. Donning the Ravenclaw robes since he didn't feel like getting all dressed up, so he wore the mediocre Ravenclaw vest, the pants, and the shoes as usual. Rubbing his curly brown hair out of the way of his eyes since he needed a hair-cut as he accidentally let it grow out long.
Looking across to the other tables, he noticed the many others looking eager to be chosen, but the only ones he noted were the ones eagerly teetering back and forth. Or even just looking disinterested as if they didn't enter their names, but Seizel happened to walk by that goblet a lot when people entered their names. It wasn't a mystery to him who had entered, but he didn't know who would be chosen, that was the joy of a mystery. "Well, to the best winner from Ravenclaw, make our house proud!!" raising his goblet to whoever was closest to him.

Will was actually not late this time, and he was wearing his prefect badge since he had just recently done his duty for the day. Even as the buzz around the school was talking about the Goblet of Fire ceremony, he had just finished his article for the Hogwarts Prophet not too long ago. Many familiar faces greeted him at the Hufflepuff table as he was just about to enter when a loud boom shook the ground causing him to instantly scream like a little girl. Many laughs followed at that, but he then flicked them off with his wand. Of course, it was mainly the Slytherin's that were making a hoot and a holler about his girlish scream.
It had been rather high-pitched, but that was only when he was incredibly startled, although it was more or less just his voice cracking. Wearing just a vest covering his white long-sleeved shirt, along with the usual Hogwarts dress standards, since he was too lazy to put anything else on. There was a few empty spots at the Hufflepuff table, nodding towards the headmaster of the Hufflepuff house since she was sitting at the head table with the rest of the group. Merely bowing politely to the Headmaster since he respected him utterly like most of the other students. It seemed odd to Will the way Kingsley went silent and then motioned his head towards Neville who had run out.
Okay, Professor Longbottom, however, that shouldn't have concerned him as he was more interested in who would be chosen. Having been one of the people to enter his name into the chalice, it was indeed going to be a feet worth watching. Even so, he was intrigued by the many events that were going on this year, and knew there was a darker plot going on it seemed. At least that was Will's thoughts, not that anyone could read them from across the room. Lyra certainly would want a spot so as soon as he sat down he instantly placed a 'save spot jinx' for her beside him. Mentioning to anyone that tried sitting there they would feel like they had a small bladder.
Of course, he did like Lyra that much, but he didn't save the other spot beside him letting the first Hufflepuff that got here claim that one. Remaining silent until someone tried sitting there only to speak up again to stop from taking the spot. Once the speech started, Will looked at Kingsley like a deer caught in head-lights, but still had time to wave to Lyra when she entered, hoping she saw him...smiling warmly.

jez hurried into the hall just a tiney bit late after everyone else, squeezing in through the doors just as the last of the straggles bustled in. she'd been searching for hugo for ages now, and hadn't seen him anywhere. it was weird - they'd supposed to be meeting somewhere and heading to the great hall together, but after waiting for ten minutes she figured he'd either forgotten and walked on ahead..or was really late.
so jez decided to have a quick scout for him before heading to the hall alone. she'd looked everywhere she could - okay not everywhere, but as much as she could - to no avail, and so with a defeated sigh, she wrapped her arms around herself and headed over to the ravenclaw table, sliding into a seat with plenty of empty space between her and the next person incase he suddenly turned up.
sighing, her eyes drifted wonderingly along the tables, seeing no sign of hugo and starting to worry. this wasn't like him. but before she could follow the thought any further, the goblet of fire's blazes of light caught her attention, and kingsleys words set the scene. abruptly, she turned to watch the goblet in awe, quite unable to shake that worry that something wasn't right with hugo's dissapearance.

Olivia had was sitting with the rest of the Slytherins looking up at Professor Kingsley as he spoke. Really she thought that this whole Hogwarts Tournament thing was a joke, she barely even watched the last one three years ago. But at least with all the commotion of the tournament going on, it made it easier for Olivia to carry out her plans for the year. She was near the end of the table, not really caring what was going on, she was only there because she was required to be and she didn’t want it to raise suspicion of what was going on. She glanced over to the hallway to see if Jacob was coming yet, he sure hoped that he didn’t take too long, Olivia hated waiting. She wanted to know that the toad she needed for her devious plan was down in the Slytherin Common Room, hidden safely. After all, after the ceremony was over her and Chun had planned on bringing it down to the Chamber of Secrets to place it on top of her chicken egg.
Finally, she heard Jacob’s voice; good he was here and not that late. Of course he was going on about the Potter’s. It was quite obvious that all of the Potters had placed their names in the Goblet of Fire, after all, she had seen them do so herself. “Oh hush Jacob, now’s not the time to go on about those darn Potters. Instead we should be listening to what Kingsley has to say,” Olivia rolled her eyes as she patted the spot next to her, as if signaling him to sit down by her. Hopefully he would give a small nod, letting her know that indeed the plan was a success. She hated failure after all, and she rather not have to punish anyone for failing to do as she told.

hurrying toward the great hall, lyra had a weird and sudden bowt of nervouness. she'd put her name in the goblet of fire...there was a big chance she could be chosen. of course, she didn't know how many people had put their name in the goblet other than will, and she believed bradley. she hoped that if it was one of them, that they went all the way to the top - she'd cheer for them, no doubt.
she paused in the entrance way of the great hall, grey eyes scanning the tables for someone to sit beside when she caught sight of a familiar face, grinning as she caught his warm smile and beelining right for him. she couldn't stop her heart speeding slightly as she cut across the crowds to will and made to slide neatly into the available seat he'd apparently saved for her, still grinning warmly in return. "hey....thanks for the seat." she greeted him lightly, "nervous?excited?" she asked, curious as to how he was feeling about the fact that it could be him going up to be champion for hufflepuff... you never knew.
as the speach started lyra turned her head to glance at kingsley, chewing her lip as her eyes were caught by the flicking flames of the goblet of fire, watching them twist and tumble and flicker over each other, licking the aprehension in the atmosphere. lyra glanced at will and made to give his hand a reasurring light squeeze before taking her hand back. "good luck." she whispered to him with a sincere smile, and turned to wait.

she wore her favorite white jeans. while others wore their normal school uniform, she did not wear the skirt. she felt no need, it was just to much of a challenge each morning to get her skirt on. so she wore her long sleeved white shirt, her gryffindor vest and even her tie was on right. she even more the school shoes she had bought. it was as if she had to have at least one piece of school uniform wrong, or her life would be amiss. she slowly walked through the doors, and stopped her eyes staring in amazement at the fire in the cup before her. how she wished to touch it to see if the flames were truly that, real live flames. it would of been amazing. walking to the far end of the hall, she waved to her friends, and surprisingly, to the slytherins in a cheerful way. her mind set straight on the fact that, although the cup's fire blocked most of auras with it's bright flame, there was still some light. then, she skipped over to her seat and sat down, smiling at the thought of see one of her house mates being put into the challenge. she clapped her hands. turning her blue eyes to headmaster kingsley, she waved a gentle, respectful hello, before turning up her voice and saying loudly "good luck, gryffindor's choice!"
[/color] she knew, she herself, would personally congratulate the winner afterward, but showing her true spirit, she raised an eyebrow at the hufflepuffs, then the ravenclaws and then lastly the slytherins. what she wouldn't give to be in the other house tables, with some of her friends. but she sighed and shrugged her shoulders. making them roll and she lifted her to look at the day light ceiling. her whole body relaxed and ready for the excitement that would hurt her brain even more. Aubrey had been waiting for this day for quite a while now. She was sitting with her fellow Gryffindors, right by her best friend, Rose Weasley. She was feeling jumpy, wishing that it didn’t take long for the Goblet of Fire to spit out the names of the chosen champions. She really wanted to know if her name got picked, of course no one else knew that she had entered her name. Well except for one Hufflepuff girl by the name of Yori, and that was because Yori happened to be at the Goblet of Fire when Aubrey went to go enter her name in. Aubrey scanned the Hufflepuff table for any sign of the young Japanese girl, but she couldn’t spot Yori just yet. So instead Aubrey relaxed and listened as Professor Shacklebolt welcomed everyone to the feast.
Aubrey looked at the plate of food in front of her that she didn’t really feel like eating. What if her name was chosen? What would she do? Would people be mad once they found out that she had entered her name in secretly? She was quite afraid to know what Scorpius would think of, she had a feeling that he wasn’t going to like the idea of her being the Gryffindor Champion. Oh what was this young Gryffindor girl to do? “Umm.. Good luck to everyone that entered!” Aubrey said to her fellow Gryffindors as she forced a smile upon her face. She really hoped that they wouldn’t figure out what was up with her.

Lily was shaking. No, really, she was shaking. The energy and anticipation was overwhelming. Since the start of term feast she'd been looking forward to finding out who the champions were. Hoping, and dreading, that her name be called. It would be so unbelievably amazing to represent her house, bring glory to the Potter name, and make her parents proud. But at the same time... it was dangerous, wasn't it? She'd heard many times about the Triwizard Tournament, when her father had won at the cost of the other Hogwarts champion. Mind you, that had all been at the hands of Voldemort who was long gone. Things were peaceful now, there hadn't been any major trouble since the battle of Hogwarts. Then there was the fact that she was only a fifth year, and she didn't have the knowledge of spells that some seventh years did. Would it really be for the best if she was chosen for her house when there were better witches and wizards in the years above her? No... she could handle this. She could do it.
There were many good candidates from Gryffindor, she was sure. But she still wanted this so badly! She was involved in many things in the school. That was obvious. But this was so much different than the Hogwarts Prophet or Quidditch. Some might think that, by entering herself into it at such a young age, she was just an attention seeking brat, but she didn't think she was. She wanted to prove herself and prove that she was more than just a little girl hiding behind her last name and the reputation of her father. She was her own person, even if some others didn't realize it.
She calmed herself in her dorm room, taking a few minutes when it was deserted to take deep breaths and stop the unexplainable tremors that kept racking her body. She had to hurry. All of her dorm-mates had already left for the Great Hall, and she didn't want to miss the beginning of the ceremony. Who wanted to be that sulky figure sneaking in to the Great Hall in the middle of one of the headmaster's speeches? That was too embarassing for her taste.
Quickly fixing her hair, which hung in loose red curls around her head today, she hurried down the stairs and out of the Gryffindor commons room to join the slow trickle of people still leaving it. She knew the way to the great Hall like the back of her hand, of course. Five years at the school had imprinted a mental map of its halls in her brain. Soon enough she was with the stream of students wandering into the hall, where she saw many students already sitting around at the four tables. She hurried to the Gryffindor tables and sat down. She scanned up and down the table to see if she could find Ivan already there, but apparently he wasn't one of the 'early-birds' either. She kept a seat next to her as more and more Gryffindors came in, just in case he wanted to sit next to her when he arrived.
She was quite silent at the table, fidgeting, constantly looking up to the front table where the teachers sat, nervously glancing around at the other Gryffindors, and repeating the whole process all over again. To be chosen, or not to be chosen? She really couldn't decide what was better.

In all honesty, Vincent had not entered his name into the competition. Why? He didn't want to do all of that work. Being a champion, going to class, and writing for the Hogwarts Profit? That just seemed like a lot of work to him. It wasn't what he wanted to do at all. Instead, he'd much rather sit back and write about whatever happened. He could talk about other people's misfortune a lot easier then his own. So walking past the goblet, he felt no need to even think about it.
He made it over to the Ravenclaw table in his own sweet time and took the first open seat he could find. "Let's go team!" That sounded about right. He wasn't sure what else he should say. So he was going to let that work. If anyone else didn't like it, they could deal with it. Vincent Yaxley was not sure what to say at a time like this. He'd support whoever was his champion, and that was that. Whoever got called out for Ravenclaw would be great and he was sure the goblet would pick someone really good. Like one of the heads, like the Head Girl or Head Boy.
He yawned and looked at his plate. They should eat soon, right? He was hungry. Then again, he was always hungry. Vinny would much eat then talk about this competition. It was all anyone cared about, yet he couldn't bring himself to care about it a whole lot. It did mean that everyone was going to write about it in the profit. Letting out a sigh, he ran a hand through his hair. So they were going to have to wait to find out the champs. Oh, what fun.

Nathaniel Greyback's name was in the Goblet of Fire. He wasn't sure what to do about it now. As he walked into the Great Hall, it made him stop. That goblet was just sitting there, looking all magical. Sure, it was really magical, but there was something different going on in his mind. What if his name really did get called. Could he handle all of this? There would be a lot of pressure there. And a lot of interviews. Someone would find out he was a werewolf somehow. He wasn't sure how, but he knew it would happen.
Once they learned that, he didn't think they would care about anything else. Prefect, dueler, good student, champion, Nada. They'd focus on the werewolf thing and they wouldn't let up on that. So why did he think this was a good idea in the first place? Looking around the room, he found his answer. There was something about standing out that he enjoyed. If he was the Hufflepuff champion, no one could say he was anything like his father ever again. Letting out the breath he'd been holding in since he stopped walking, he could finally think clearly again.
He took a seat at the Hufflepuff table near some random people and grinned. While he would like it to say his name, it wouldn't be the end of the world. All of those other people who seemed to think their life depended on it were just...nervous. There was more then this. Then again, it would be great for his name to get called. There was no one near him he really wanted to be excited for and he didn't feel like calling attention to himself.
So the boy leaned forward in his seat and watched the goblet. Maybe something exciting would happen soon. That'd be awesome.

She was slightly late and she really hated that, especially on this day. Sure she had been feeling a bit under the weather recently but that was normal for her. It shouldn't excuse being late. She nodded to a couple of the gryffindors before taking her seat. There was much anticipation in the air but there was something else. Alaya wished she knew what it was because there was something nagging at the back of her mind saying something was not right. She convinced herself that it was just nerves. However that did not make the feeling go away.
She was feeling a bit anxious but knew that her chances of being one of the champions was slim. With everyone else who put there names in she did not know how she could ever amount to anything like that. She would support anyone who made it, they would deserve it if the cup chose them. It would be a great honor for anyone who made it. She knew the challenges were going to be difficult but she knew that the cup would not choose anyone who was not capable.
She was quiet as she waited. However, instead of sitting alone at the back of the hall she was closer to the front and near many of the other gryffindors. It was a strange setting for her but she felt different today. Today was about the house and not just one person. Everyone waited anxiously together as it should be. Why should she isolate herself at the one time when that might not be the best idea? • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • F O R . I . W I L L . F I G H T . Post by JAMES SIRIUS POTTER on May 4, 2011 6:18:33 GMT -6
James was already pumped to go down to the ceremony and see if his name was chosen, and yes he had been automatically inclined to enter. As far as he knew , he was actually the only boy to enter, the rest had been females as he had managed to see his little sister enter. A curious reaction from him was "Really!?!" when he heard about that, and had spent most of the hour trying to convince her not to do it. He was sure that Ivan boy had something to do with it, not that he had a problem with him. Once Ivan had started dating his sister, he could tell, but it was probably just the way he looked at Lily that irked James. Glancing around the hall, he noticed the strange glint in Kingsley's eye.
Something wrong was going on, and this almost seemed like it shouldn't be happening right now. Noticing movement at the Slytherin table and the students that had come in earlier. It was easy to tell something was going on and there was a thick plan behind it. Obviously whoever did whatever happened caused Professor Longbottom to head out into the hall right away. James was concerned as he hadn't heard from Hugo Weasley since they had left at almost about the same time. Having almost been late himself, he had just rounded the corner when those Slytherin students had run past him.
It looked like they had concealed an object that they were bringing back to the room, but as he was on his way into the Hall. Strange, Hugo usually wasn't this late, and he was still worried about his own cousin. Sure, they hung out, but they obviously knew each other. It was cause for alarm as he looked around with his 6'1" figure, and the slim, muscular muscles moved fluently while finally tugging on his robes. Having spent at least an hour in the common room making sure everyone had made it, not that he cared to be a prefect like guy.
At least most of the Gryffindors didn't want to make him look just like his father, and he knew that Lily would have tried to prove herself no matter how hard she could. The anticipation within Jame's system was probably part of his family roots, and the authentication that being chosen would give him much to contemplate about. Brown eyes stared at the Hall and before he even stepped in there was a sense of dread building up behind his eyes. What else could this feeling be? Was there an attack and he didn't know about it. Most of the Potters would have heard if a fellow Weasley had been attacked.
Of course, he was just being silly until Professor Longbottom almost bumped into him on his way into the Great Hall. Even as the flames licked the ceiling, he could tell this was going to be one of the best ceremonies out of the year. Walking up to the Gryffindor table, he gave everyone a wave. Not bothering to talk to some of the others as they already knew where he stood, plus all the Gryffindors he knew he actually got along with pretty well. while the shaggy brown hair wavered slightly as he soon took his seat near Lily. Looking over at the rest of the table, and noticing Ravenclaw.
Of course, James would instantly look over to Ravenclaw since he was interested in Isabella, but made no motion to show that he was looking for her. Soon as he took his seat, he was at least one person away from Lily. "Hey, Lily, you excited, I hope my name gets chosen, but even in the likely case it's someone else, I'll still root for them. I really can't wait, what about you?" he asked Lily, grinning as he looked in awe at the flames flicking the ceiling, obviously letting the adrenaline flow with the anticipation of being a chosen one.

Ivan didn't really have the time to actually mess with his hair, but took a quick shower since he knew that the Ceremony was starting without him. Or had the feeling it was, but giving into peer pressure had gotten into him. Pulling on a white shirt letting the Gryffindor vest cover it, and wearing some dress pants along with the shoes. Of course he didn't bother bringing his robes since this was just another gathering that he wanted to be part of. Ivan knew there would be a little more to discuss than just what was going on with the House Tournament coming up. Even so, he knew Lily would be down there, and then instantly thought about that for a moment. Of course he wasn't about to reveal his feelings around everyone else at the table.
Plus, he knew that Lily would want to have her space whenever events like these happened, however, he still didn't know about her entering her name in the tournament either. Technically he wasn't supposed to know who entered, but he had watched most of the other Potters enter their names. Back to his hair, he was just shaking it up and already making sure that he was fully dressed now. Soon as he noticed many of the other people in the common room leaving and noticed Lily on her way out too. It was obvious he'd be following her.
Even so, he was aware that the ceremony was definitely going to be starting, and he'd be unable to actually stay sitting still during it. There would be so much tension in the air as his brown eyes looked around the room until he soon entered the Great Hall. The magnificent ceiling, and loved the sound of thunder and lightning flooding the hall. It seemed a rather magnificent spectacle, and he slowly made his way down the Gyrffindor table towards where Lily was sitting. Soon he sat on the other side of her, he then smiled as he said to her.
Finally starting to give in he soon smiled towards her as he looked over at how she did her hair, and it looked as beautiful. Of course she also would hear him speaking to her now as he leaned over to softly whisper in her ear, "Hey, Lily, you ready for the ceremony? I wonder who will get chosen, I bet you entered didn't you?" he asked her softly, making sure no one else heard him as he did so soon finally sitting by her.

Raychel was excited; in fact she was beyond excited. The ceremony was going to start shortly and even if her name didn’t get chosen, she was fine by that. After all she had no real reason for entering. She knew many wanted to prove something or make their parents proud but honesty she had put her name in the goblet because it seemed like a good idea at the time. Well even if she was chosen, she was going to give it her best, what sort of head girl would she be if she didn’t. "Alright move along," she spoke to a bunch of students, hurrying them down the corridor where she saw the doors of the great hall. Many were still crowded outside them, honestly, didn’t they know it was warmer in the great hall.
"Come one guys, the ceremony is about it start," she looked at the other students yet none seemed to move. She heard a giggle and looked towards a group of 3 girls. She sighed, she just wanted to get into the hall and get a decent seat. "If you're not in the great hall by the count of three, I will pull out my wand, hex you, take points from your house and give you a year’s worth of detention, now," she paused, glad to see she finally had their attention, "One." She watched a couple of Hufflepuffs move and enter the great hall. "Two," she glanced at the others, "Three." Reaching for her wand she watched as they scurried off into the hall. Now that was how to deal with stubborn people. She nodded to herself with a smile on her face as she took her hand away from her wand.
She heard the sound of robes rustling and looked up to see Professor Longbottom rush off. What was up with that, she thought, should she follow him, make sure everything was alright? No, she thought, if Professor Longbottom wanted her to come with him, he would have said so and there was no way she was missing out on the chance of her name being called from the goblet. Moving more cautiously into the hall, she made her way down the Ravenclaw table and took a seat opposite Seizel and Vincent. "What was that all about?" she asked, "What's wrong with Professor Longbottom?"

Rose was in a hurry to go to the great hall. She couldn't wait to see whose names were chosen to be the champions. Wanting to concentrate more on quidditch this year along with the many assignments the professors wanted to pile on to the sixth years, Rose had decided against entering her own name into the goblet of fire. She knew for a fact that Lily and James had entered and she believed Al ha as well.
Settling into her seat beside Aubrey she couldn't help but wish the ceremony would start already. She hadn't eaten much earlier in the day for she had wanted to get most of her work done before the ceremony tonight. There was likely to be too much excitement in the common room after for the champions that she wouldn't have been able to get anything done. She briefly recognized Professor Longbottom leaving the great hall as Professor Shacklebolt started his speech. Rose figured someone had done something wrong and didn't put much thought into it afterwards.
"Good luck everyone!" Aubrey had already said it but Rose decided to say so as well. She really hoped they had a good champion, although she thought that anyone chosen would probably do a great job at the tasks before them. Glancing up and down the table she wondered where her brother had gone? As far as she could see she couldn't see him. Hoping that he was just running a little late Rose decided to just look for him afterwards and find out what he had been up to.

Scorpius slowly made his way towards the Great Hall, just because names were being drawn from the goblet meant that everyone was acting well crazy with excitement. He had entered his name late one night during a patrol where no one else was around and he had only told a few people, Theia and Al oh and Aubrey. It wasn’t like he was going to get his hopes up, to him he honestly didn’t believe the goblet would ever choose a Malfoy. And besides there were better people in Slytherin more suited to be the Slytherin champion, someone like Al. Yes he'd certainly cheer his best friend on, even someone like Henrietta. He hadn’t spoken much to her, but she seemed like a better choice.
Running a hand through his hair, he entered the Great Hall and immediately noticed Olivia and Jacob. He rolled his eyes before moving away from them and down the table, taking an empty section. For some reason, Olivia and Jacob always seemed to have a weird vibe around them, even that girl that hung around then, Chin, Chen...whatever her name was. He turned towards the Gryffindor table and immediately his eyes sort out the familiar blonde head of Aubrey. Had she entered the goblet, he couldn’t remember if she had told him or not. He watched as Rose Weasley sat down next to Aubrey and stared at the two girls for a moment longer before turning his eyes to the goblet and to the headmaster, listening to his speech.

Louis nearly tripped over his own feet as he raced through the corridor. Why didn’t someone wake him? He knew the ceremony was today and he had been that nervous the night before he had hardly any sleep. Having somehow stayed awake for classes, he had managed to doze off an hour ago. He had woken up to the sound of silence. He was going to kill Will if he missed the start of it. His first thought was sabotage, because Will had entered his name as well. That thought quickly disappeared. Will wouldn’t do that to him; maybe he had simply been out somewhere and hadn’t made it back to the dorms.
His shoe covered feet slapped against the floor, the noise echoing as he rushed to the great hall, skidding to a halt. Leaning against the wall, he took a few deep breaths, thankful that it hadn’t started yet. Composing himself, he straightened and entered the great hall, going quickly to Will and sitting down next to him, noticing Lyra on the other side of Will. "Hey," he smiled, "Good luck." Not that they needed luck, it was out of their hands, the Goblet chose, not them. Underneath the table he crossed his fingers, man he hoped it was him, desperately hoped it was him. Well even it if wasn’t, whoever was chosen for Hufflepuff definitely deserved it. Taking another deep breath, he glanced over at the Gryffindor table as Professor Shacklebolt spoke, looking for Dominique. Where was she, had she entered her name and had a bad night like him?

The muggleborn Gryffindor tossed her hair over her shoulder, her eyes facing forward as her stomach rolled. She was so nervous she felt like she wanted to throw up. Taking deep breaths she quelled that urge quickly. She was having second thoughts about putting her name in, what if she wasn’t good enough to do the challenges. She was brave and would face them head on, but what if she physically couldn’t do it, she didn’t want to let Gryffindor down. She'd be happy if it went to another muggleborn, to show everyone that they were just as good. She brought her hand up to her mouth, twisting it so the back of her hand was touching her lips. How many entered the tournament exactly, she wondered as her eyes looked around the room.
Take away a few decorations and the goblet; she would have assumed that it was any old night and that they were simply sitting down to have their dinner. Oh god, she just had to think about food. The nausea came back stronger than it did before. Her eyes darted to the doors and wondered if she'd have time to run out and go to the hospital wing for a potion. Unfortunately that answer was a no as the headmaster spoke. Her head turned to look at him and hoped that if she distracted herself by listening to him, her nausea would go away again.
