PERSONAL STYLE:
lily likes to look good, but she is not one of those girls who constantly obsesses about her appearance and every little detail of it. she likes to be unique, but doesn't need to get recognition for her appearance to be happy. she does hate blending in with the crowd by wearing a uniform, but that's obviously a part of the school policy so she can't do anything about it. sometimes she will try to set herself apart from the dull old cloaks and uniforms by changing little colours on her uniform, maybe not too noticeable but enough to make her feel set apart. for instance, she might change a black sleeve cuff on her cloak to a navy colour.
when she's not wearing a uniform and has more freedom with her outfit, lily likes to be stylish. she can make herself comfortable in almost any outfit, as long as she doesn't focus on its uncomfortable aspects, so that isn't really much of an issue to her. she doesn't consider herself to be vain, she just thinks that she should dress well and not sloppily. she believes that she can't expect others to respect her unless she treats herself right first.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
one thing that is apparent to all who meet her, is that lily potter is beautiful, and she knows it. she's got amazing clear skin, enchanting eyes, and long gorgeous hair. her features and bone structure in her face are almost pixie-like; delicate and feminine. her hair is naturally a light auburn red, but over the years she has taken to dying it a rich, dark red colour that makes her look more mature. it might be a bit too unnatural for some people's tastes, but she loves it. she has both ears pierced, as well, though the earrings that she wears in them are nothing flashy. simple studs are all she wears.

BIOGRAPHY:
lily is well known, though not through any feat of her own. all of her fame and her family's fame is owed to her father, harry potter, the boy who lived and finally vanquished voldemort twenty-five years ago. it's always been hard for lily to keep herself out of the spotlight, unless she flat out refuses to tell people her last name, which she has been known to do quite often when she was younger. now that she's older and well known at hogwarts for being herself, she can't pull that stunt any longer.
born on a rainy fourteenth day of may fifteen years ago, lily was the last child and only daughter born to harry potter and his wife once known as ginny weasley. her older brothers, albus and james, were, well, boys, and lily was often alienated and behind when the boys went off for fun. despite that, as they grew up, lily always maintained a good relationship with her brothers. maybe not the absolute best that it could be, but it was good enough to keep her happy.
being a part of the weasley family through her mother, lily has a lot of cousins. she's among the youngest, though there are a few other fifteen year olds in the family. lily got along with all of her cousins, but particularly with hugo, the son of her father's best friends. hugo was like a brother to lily because they grew up together and were the same age. since she was young lily watched cousin after cousin head off to hogwarts, and always dreamed of when her time would come. she'd grown up with tales of her parent's days at hogwarts, the friends they met, the teachers, the classes, the adventures... she couldn't wait to finally get to experience some of those amazing things herself. but every year accompanying cousins and her brothers to the hogwarts express, holding on to her mother's hands and waving as the train sped away, was extremely frustrating to the little girl. she really believed that she was old enough to go to the school with everyone else, but hogwarts rules said otherwise.
finally after years of waiting, lily got the letter. she wouldn't let it out of her hands for the first day, her mother had to tell her ten times every hour to calm down and be quiet. of course, lily had always known that she would be going to hogwarts, but having the letter in her hands made everything so much more real. she'd always had that lingering fear that something would go wrong and she wouldn't be accepted to the school, but her fears were gladly false.
her first trip to diagon alley for supplies of her own went smoothly. she got a wand, her books, and an owl. though she begged her parents for a continuous hour as they shopped, they wouldn't allow her to get a broom for her first year at the school, so she had to wait on that. when the day finally came to go to hogwarts everything again went smoothly. she made new friends, bounced off of the walls from excitement, and took in all of the scenes around her with wide, eager eyes. the sorting hat debated between sending her to hufflepuff or gryffindor, but the final decision sent lily to her parent's house. she was quick to learn in her classes, though certainly not a genius her effort made up for what she lacked in natural talent. especially for her first year of schooling, her eagerness to learn shone through her lessons like a beacon.
lily made the quidditch team for the first time in her second year. she failed the initial tryouts, losing to older students as chasers. halfway through the season however, when a sixth year chaser was forced to leave the team for some personal reasons, there were tryouts held again, and lily was chosen much to her delight.
in her third year, lily again made the quidditch team, this time as keeper because the previous keeper had graduated hogwarts the year before. in her fourth year she decided to take a break to focus on her studies, but planned on coming back in her fifth year, so we'll see what happens.

It was dark. Very dark. That was about as far as Pepper's knowledge of the exact time went. She hadn't bothered to look at the digital clock on her bedside table as she held her breath, waiting for fifteen long minutes to make sure that the only sound in the house was her grandad's snoring and the whistley breath of her sixty-six year old grandmom, practically in usion with her husband's. Sure, she'd snuck out in the middle of the night countless times before, but she never allowed herself to become cocky and careless. All it would take was one squeaky floorboard and her ungodly hour trips would be done for. She always had to be careful. There was no such thing as being too alert or listening for any sign of wakefulness for too long if she didn't want to get her butt kicked by a 70 year old fill-in dad.
Her grandparents weren't exactly the type to support partying after the fiasco their daughter and Pepper's mom had left them, though each of the gray-haired adults swore up and down time and time again that Pepper was one of the best things that had ever happened to them. If there were to be boys at a party, Pepper wasn't allowed to go. So basically the only party-like freedom she could ever have was a sleepover. She wasn't so fond of that arrangement. Didn't they realize that when they put such restrictions on her they just made her want to rebel more? Even on nights like tonight, when there was no awesome party to sneak out to, she tiptoed out of bed (avoiding the third floorboard to the right that squealed like a pig), opened her window, and snuck out onto the garage roof outside her bedroom. From there it was a short jump to the tall oak tree that had been in the yard for a good fifty years, down to the ground, to freedom and beyond.
Why was Pepper sneaking out? Well, no reason, really. It wasn't like she hated her grandparents or wanted to run away from home. It wasn't like she had a death wish and wanted to get kidnapped or raped. She just... liked her freedom. She liked no limitations, no restrictions, the power to do as she pleased when she pleased. Sneaking out in the middle of the night certainly gave her that power, so she exercised it whenever she couldn't sleep and felt the urge for some fresh air.
At this time of year the fresh air that she seeked was unavoidably freezing cold, but tonight the chilly temperatures didn't seem so bad. Pepper had a good tolerance for temperatures, so all she wore was a tan jacket that was a whole lot warmer than it looked, jeans, and a headband. Matching soft blue mitts and a toque were stuffed in the jacket pockets in case the chilly air got a bit too much for her.
Pepper's house only a few streets off of main street, and so she had easy access to all of the most popular shops and locations in town when she cared to visit them. Usually at night she would only roam the side streets, maybe hang around under a few street lights, smirk at the occasional car that went past and the people inside it who were sure to wonder what a seventeen year old girl was doing out alone. Today she went wherever her feet took her, which turned out to be in the direction of main street. The park, to be more specific. There was something calming and almost surreal about the peacefulness of a quiet bit of nature in the middle of what was a bustling area in the daytime. Sometimes Pepper would even climb the trees, just to give herself something to do, whenever she came along at night. She didn't make it to the park, though.
When it was within sight she saw that she wasn't the only person awake at this time of night. For a moment she considered turning around and heading back to the residential streets, but her legs had a mind of their own as she found herself walking towards whoever this guy was (she couldn't tell from her current distance). The first thing she noticed about him was the car, and once she saw that she really wasn't interested in the guy. "Woah, nice car." Yeah, that was pretty much her way of greeting people.
