sighing, theia flicked her long chocolate curls over her shoulders, brushing them impatiently aside as they continued to irritate her. she traced a rough path toward the infamous willow tree, noting how the well trodded path was overgrown with grass and weeds, and gueesed nobody had tended to it in a while.. or come this way for quite some time. but that was what she wanted. for once, theresa needed to be alone. you might have been amazed at that. after all, theia was well known for being 'that girl' always surrounded by people .. always admired, crowded.. and that was how she liked it. then again, many believe her to be sufficiently arrogant. it wasn't true. not really. but then, they weren't to know that, and she wasn't about to enlighten them. she was the way she was for her own reasons. people could pretend to know her all they liked, didn't mean they did, and theia wasn't going to care about letting them know different. she was liked, that was all she cared about. apart from right now. right now she just .... she didn't know what she wanted. maybe to scream a little, beat her fists? she paused as she reached the tree, looking up at its magnitude, keeping a sullen distance and glancing now instead to the paper clutched in her hand. a letter... from her parents. she curled her lip angrily as her eyes retraced the words, grip so tight it left her knuckles white, hand shaking. clenching and unclenching her jaw, theia made an irritated noise and half threw the paper into the air, so angry that her left hand - holding her wand - flicked out toward it as it caught the wind, dancing tauntingly infront of her. "incendio." she muttered, and watching in satisfaction as the thing burst into crumpled flames, and was engulfed by the embers, floating away in ashes. good. she thought. though it hadn't disipated her irritation completely. with a heavy sigh she pocketed her wand and ducked her head, hair falling forward and hiding her face as her chocolate eyes teared, threatening to spill over cold cheeks. she never let herself get like this... not over them ... but she couldn't help it. not after this. it was too much. ooc , hope this is okay?? i figured as they're confidantes and all that, i'd make her be having a bad day xD pic credit - hannah leigh @ caution

Albus had been walking out towards the Quidditch pitch, his Skybolt 200 over his shoulder and his school bag at his side. He had planned on trying out some new moves he had researched over the summer and the weather conditions were too perfect to not try them out. But his plans were going to change unexpectedly when he noticed that someone was standing by the Whomping Willow. Albus was a bit curious as to why someone would want to be by the Whomping Willow; didn’t they know what it would do to them if they got to close to it? Of course Albus knew how to freeze the Whomping Willow as his mother had told him about a knot at the bottom of the tree. He’s never used it before and figured he possibly could one day if he ever needed to do some sort of a secret meeting as the tunnel below the Whomping Willow led to the infamous Shrieking Shack.
But he didn’t need to think about that now; he was more focused on the person whom was standing by the tree. His emerald eyes squinted lightly to try and get better focus on the person when he recognized the young girl to be a fellow Slytherin, Theresa. Deciding to make sure she didn’t plan on doing anything stupid near the Whomping Willow, Albus started to walk towards her to find out why she was even there in the first place when the next thing he knew there was a small fire up in the air before her. Did she burn something? What could it have been to make her want to burn it?
When he got closer to her, he realized that she was crying. It was very rare to see Theresa crying and Albus decided to find out who had upset her and perhaps find a way to punish them. Once he got to the young brunette he placed a hand softly on her shoulder, hoping to not startle. “Theresa, what’s wrong?” he asked lightly as she adjusted his broomstick on his shoulder. Practicing a new move would have to wait as his good friend needed him more from what he could see.

with her full attention having been switched completely to what utter rats her parents were being, and with burning the note and all, theresa kelsey hadn't given thought nor attention to the world currently outside of her own. she'd never even thought that someone might attempt to approach her. after all, theia wasn't all that approachable at the best of times - she did have a tendancy to look intimidating at times. but still, right now with her whole angry/upset thing, she hadn't thought that maybe a friend might walk by and see her. so when she felt a warm, steady hand on her shoulder she jumped a mile, leaping around full and almost stumbled over. it wasn't often theia lost her balance, but she really had been startled - she'd even drawn her wand. but when she saw the cute, familiar face of her good friend albus potter, she hastily stowed the wand back in her pocket. theia raised her left hand to wipe her eyes quickly, hating crying, and hating the fact that her left hand shook as she forcefully pushed aside the tears, knowing that a steady track still stubbornly leaked down her cold cheeks. “Theresa, what’s wrong?” theia took her bottom lip between her teeth, chewing restlessly. it was a habit she did when nervous or trying to decide something. her eyes couldn't meet his, feeling ashamed at having been caught at such an emotional moment, and so she settled for looking over his shoulder, swallowing past the lump in her throat. "it's nothing its..." she paused, feeling a sigh escape her parted lips without meaning it too. "it's my parents." she finally admitted, closing her eyes briefly, knowing that it would make it easier to say if she thought he wasn't looking her her tear stained face. "they're saying.. that if i don't get into the goblet of fire, and i don't win then..." theia paused again and took a deep breath, not quite wanting to say it, she turned her head away and opened her eyes, gazing sullen-ly toward the trees. "then they never want to see me again." she said quietly, feeling a well of sadness and anger bubble within her once again. " and after everything i've-" she paused, stopping short before she burst into outrage again, taking a deep breath and letting out slowly to control herself, she shook her head and tried to steady herself. "it doesn't matter." she said quietly and looked at albus finally, noting the broom on his shoulder and attempting to shift the subject. "off to practise?" she said, just about managing a small smile. ooc , xD pic credit - hannah leigh @ caution

Theia’s parents. Albus didn’t know them that well, but he did know their effect on their daughter. He really wished they never did things to cause her to get stressed out, really weren’t parents supposed to love and support their child? He was sure that Theia’s parents loved her, just that they had an odd way of showing it. “They just don’t see what a great daughter they have,” Albus said to her with a smile in hopes of cheering her up. He hated seeing her feeling down, it just wasn’t right. He wished there was something that he could do about it.
“Well I was going to go and try out a few new Seeker moves I looked up this summer,” he told her lightly. He had changed his mind now seeing that his friend needed him even if she wasn’t going to admit it. He could try out new moves later on, he had a couple of months to do it after all, before the big game against Gryffindor where he hoped to show his brother that he was better at Quidditch than he was of course. “Maybe instead I can show you something that’s kinda of neat, something my mom told me about, it has to do with this Whomping Willow,” he said as he pointed to the huge tree that was waving in the air. Perhaps it was getting ready for if the two of them were to come closer to it. Little did the Whomping Willow know, Albus knew of a way to freeze it in place and enter the secret passageway that it has been guarding for many years.

theia hastily wiped at her eyes again, the tear having stopped thank god, finally, and now it was a simple matter and removing evidence of the streaks they'd tracked down her cheeks and blinking, feeling better now that she wasn't crying. she really hated it, but as a knee-jerk reaction to her despair over her parents decision, she couldn't have stopped it. “They just don’t see what a great daughter they have,” theia glanced at albus, slightly surprised at the compliment, and even more surprised that it meant something to her. she gave him a smile back. "thanks alb..." she said, though deep now, she knew her parents were right. after all, who was she and what did she have if she didn't achieve anything? they were right not to be proud, because in truth, she'd bearly accomplished anything here. they were only giving her incentive to win right? by threatening. perhaps they should ... because if she failed this, honestly ... maybe she deserved to be alone. sighing, theia dispelled the thoughts, not usually.. well hardly ever this down. or at least, never showing it. she was usually so busy smiling and being all 'hey look at me' that she didn't have a chance to really stop and think. but when times like this happened, it was all she could do. she supposed she had that look of 'nothing can touch me', and people called it arrogance and disliked her for it. but she wasn't that at all. if someone really knew her... they might call her insecure, needy for praise and approval. and it was her parents fault. they'd made her this way. but theia didn't ever like to show vulnerability, which was why she forced herself to push the thoughts aside, and look at albus. “Well I was going to go and try out a few new Seeker moves I looked up this summer,” theia looked at her friend and chewed her lip, shaking her head. "you can if you want, you know." offering him a smile in attempt to show she'd be okay by herself, despite that knawing in her stomach that was really hoping he'd stay. “Maybe instead I can show you something that’s kinda of neat, something my mom told me about, it has to do with this Whomping Willow,” theia glanced at the tree, eyes tracing it's knarled rough bark and age old branches, immediatly intrieged as she glanced back at albus, interest piqued. " okay you got me.... what is it?" she asked, shooting him a grin and looking toward the willow, knowing that they were right on the boarderline of its range, and that one step closer to it would sure whip it into action. ooc , xD pic credit - hannah leigh @ caution

Albus smiled as he pulled out his oak wand a pointed it at a small rock nearby. He knew that what he was about to do would probably amaze Theresa, and often he wondered why he liked to amaze her with things from time to time. “Windgardium Leviosa,” and with the wave of his wand the rock floated up into the air. He had always loved this small charm as it was one of his favorite and quite useful once you’ve played around with. Then using his wand as a guide he moved the rock causing it to float in the air towards the trunk of the Whomping Willow. “Now watch this,” he smirked lightly and with a quick wave of his wand he caused the rock to hit a small not on the tree. The once moving Whomping Willow was now frozen in place.
“Come on,” he said, not even looking to see Theresa’s reactions, he wanted to wait until they’ve reached their destination before see what she thought. So he took a hold of her hand and led her to the trunk of the Whomping Willow before sliding on in through the small hole. “Trust me,” he said as he let go of her hand and slid on ahead of her. He knew that she would follow along behind her and it was much easier to slide down without holding hands. And then with a small ‘thump,’ Albus had landed at the bottom of the long tunnel that lead to the Shrieking Shack.

theia watched albus lightly, chocolate orbs watching as he pulled out his wand and pointed it toward a rock. already, curiosity caught theia as she titled her head slightly in silent question, feeling her hair tumble over her shoulder. “Windgardium Leviosa,” she heard her best friend murmer, and her eyes followed the progress of the rock. it was such a nifty little spell - theia believed - but of course, she was and always had been more a potions kinda gal rather than charms and such. then again, it was always fun to send a first year on a little flying lesson without a broom on occasion for a prank - only if they really deserved it of course... “Now watch this,” theia rolled her eyes lightly and half grinned, glancing from the rock to albus for a moment. "i am..." she said, slightly teasing, and then her eyes drifted back to the rock, still curious, a slight frown upon her face. she watched as he flicked the rock against a knot on the tree and suddenly - it froze! theia's eyes widened in surprise, her mouth actually popping open. wow. she'd never seen that happen before. eyebrows raised, eyes still wider than normal she tore her eyes from the silent stature of the tree to her friend. "how the heck did you do that?!" she asked in amazement.. shaking her head silent. "well...i saw how but ... " she rolled her chocolate eyes at herself this time. it wasn't often theia was amazed by something. she put it down to albus' apparent natural ability to make her feel better and act less slytherin-like. “Come on,” theia blinked and took her eyes from the tree again and looked back to albus, taking his hand as she reached for his and letting him tow her toward the base of a tree, frowning slightly again in confusion. "where're we going?" she asked quietly, moving alongside him and letting go of his hand when he dropped hers, watching with one raised eyebrow as he ducked into a hole she'd seen a couple of times but never bothered to wonder about before. she looked down at him, “Trust me,” theia half smiled, lips turning up at the corners. "i do." she murmered lightly, surprising herself a little. she didn't trust easily, not really, and you really had to prove that you weren't going to betray theia for her to trust you. albus had proven years ago but still, it wasn't often she let people know that she trusted them. too easy to get hurt. but it was easy to drop into the hole once he was gone, take a deep breath and then follow in his footsteps. she slid down the tunnel, landing with a small "oof" when she half crashed on to the hard ground, landing on her back. with a cough she sat up, looking about her carefully and rubbing her lower back; she glanced at albus. "ya know...you could've made it a softer landing." she half grinned and raised an eyebrow, still looking about in awe. "so...where're we heading?"ooc , xD pic credit - hannah leigh @ caution
