and I'm scared as hell

Was she supposed to be at school right now? Who cares. Liyah tended to do what she wanted, whenever she wanted and never let anyone stop her. This year especially she had started slacking in her classes and hardly ever showed up for lectures anymore. She was passing...barely. There just wasn't anything that could motivate her to even attend the stupid classes that she was assigned to. She much preferred to be out and about, doing her own thing. Sure school was important but she just wanted a break right now, for a little while. At sixteen she was tired of following all the rules and just wanted some freedom. Her parents never noticed her anyways, she wasn't the favorite or anything. With as many siblings as she had it was easy to fly under the radar when it came to the parentals.
Today seemed like a fine day to head to Hogsmeade and have a look around. It was convenient that she knew how to get out of the castle and to Hogsmeade without being detected. Liyah was wearing a simple outfit that consisted of a pair of dark blue skinny jeans, a black lacy tank top and a pair of black leather knee high boots. Her long dark brunette hair was left down to flow as it willed in the wind. Her pale features were accented with some light makeup but not much. Her ice blue eyes glanced around the wilderness around her, there was no one else near this place today. The shrieking shack wasn't exactly the first place that people wanted to go when they came to Hogsmeade but she enjoyed it. She stood at the fence-line and looked out across the meadow towards the shack. It was an odd building, old and falling apart but still shrieking.
Liyah sighed and placed her hand on her hip. She was hungry, or thirsty, whatever it was for her. The animal blood kept her healthy and nourished but it didn't satisfy her urge for human blood. Drinking animal blood was her last ditch effort at retaining some of her humanity and not being a complete monster. Liyah felt like a monster, she knew what she was. That half of her, that non-human half, liked to try and take over sometimes and it seemed like with each passing day she was losing control. Liyah was scared of what she could become, scared of what she might do and she was fighting to keep herself contained. She ran a thin hand through her hair and suddenly got that prickling feeling at the back of her neck like someone else was there, watching her. She glanced around but didn't see anyone...weird.
