James was just skimming through one of his many books that he had, but he was not reading it completely at all. Perhaps it was time to actually focus on his work to try and keep himself occupied. Now that he had some spare time, and was able to plot on the marauder's map the next route he'd be able to take with Aubrey towards the room of requirement. That just meant he would be able to keep his word with their usual arrangements. James had to look up at the time for a minute, but he figured how high the sun was outside that it was still around lunchtime.
Even so, it was a weekend, and he could fool around as much as he wanted. After all they needed to practice more, but James went by himself to practice in secret at times. That was all thanks to the Marauder's map hiding certain possible areas that people should have normally seen. Well, he was still trying to use it to find whoever was responsible for the attacks, but came up with nothing. Even if he saw the footsteps on the map disappear, that could just mean they went outside. Since it only covers the castle and not any specific rooms that could still be hidden within Hogwarts. James had tried altering the map for his own personal gain once, but he failed every single time.
There was no spell or key that could unlock it, much to his dismay. So now he found himself in front of the room of requirement and entered, waiting for Aubrey as the door closed behind him. Only the two of them could find it for now, so he wasn't worried about anyone else barging in.
