walking out of store one arm held the leash to a very energetic and exited yellow lab puppy, and under the other arm was a ten pound bag of food for the animal, in a bag various toys and things the woman said he'd need. he had no idea what had possessed him into going to the store. he'd been waling past, on his day off, and he'd looked, and saw the dog looking up at him, the eyes watching him intently and he had been hooked, unable to resist, he'd never been able to resist. he remembered finding a baby bird once, while he'd been staying at his uncle harry's and aunt ginny's, he'd fed it, looked after it, then let it fly away as he'd left. he grinned as he crouched down, stopping the puppy chewing on the lead and he shook his head. "well i've got you now . . guess i'm stuck with you" he said with a grin, ruffling the fur on the dogs ears.
he shook his head slightly. dogs, he'd always preferred them over cats. and toads, and even owls really. he had an owl, though they had an agreement, the owl didn't bite teddy, and teddy wouldn't roast it. he grinned slightly as the dog jumped at his leg. the owner had told him that no one had wanted the puppy, which is why he was bigger than the rest of them. apparently the brown patch over his eyes made him an outsider. teddy felt the same, he could change what he looked like, without the use of magic, which came in really handy with his job. he could go in undercover and most of the time people would be none the wiser.
he looked up as he made to stand, he felt the pup tug on the lead and he nodded. "yeah yeah we're going" he said as the pup danced around his feet, the lead turning around his legs as he did. he'd never thought a puppy would be able to get the best of him. "sit . . stay . . i cant even yell your name cause you don't have one!" he said, not being able to help the laugh that escaped his lip as he tripped over the lead, his butt hitting the floor and the dog food scattering everywhere. he looked around, he frowned and shook his head. he looked around again, making sure no one was looking as he waved his hand slightly, watching the dog food slide back into bag. he'd thought he'd gotten away with no one seeing, but suddenly a shadow fell over him and he looked up, a look of guilt on his face as the puppy jumped on the person, his tongue trying to reach their hand.

[/div] Something in the Way she Moves A day off, it was something she didnt come by very often. The quidditch department of the Daily Prophet were severely understaffed. She had no intention of stayed cooped up inside on such a nice sunny winter's day. No cooking, no cleaning she just wanted to get out and well have fun. Tugging on her black trench coat, Ginny stepped out of the house, closing the door on what mess was left over from breakfast. It would be easily cleaned up with the flick of her wand.
So where did the redhead want to go for fun. Everyone she knew of was either busy doing something else or was busy with work. Even she couldnt get the same days off as Harry and she felt like she hadnt had spent much time with him lately. She didnt blame him, more like she blamed his job.
Sighing she passed the entrance to Diagon alley and continued walking. She didnt want to be in the crowded streets, she didnt want to be anywhere near the place she worked. Instead she went further into London, looking at the clothing items and jewellery in the windows, almost drooling at the smell of food and coffee in the cafes and restaurants. It was a surprise that she didnt venture into muggle London more often. A place to hide away from others in plain sight.
She spent all morning going in and out of shops, sometimes carrying out an extra bag or two. She was indeed having fun and then she saw a figure on the ground, looking around to see if anyone noticed before the contents of the bag magically rolled back into it. An energetic puppy bouncing around. Ginny smiled as she walked over and stood over Teddy, her hands on her hips. Before she could speak a word, the puppy was jumping up on her. She couldnt help it, she reached down and scratched behind the ears. "Your friend seems very welcoming Teddy," she laughed as she extended her hand to him to help him up. teddy grinned up at the form that was towering over his frame on the ground. he shook his head slightly, caught out using magic in public, muggle public anyway. not that anyone had seen, or if they had seen they'd made it pretty clear they werent gonna say anything.
"your friend seems very welcoming teddy,"he nodded and watched the puppy curl in between her legs as his tongue lolled out of it's mouth. he took her hand and made to pull himself up, hefting the bag of dog food up into his grip and he grinned at her again. "yeeeah . . he's not the mean ornery dog i was hoping for that's for sure" he said jokingly as he watched the puppy plonk it's but onto the floor next to his foot and look up at him, like he wanted something.
he spotted the bags in her grasp as he sorted the puppy's lead out and he looked at her. "spending all of uncle harry's money then are you?" he asked jokingly. he looked around again, pulling his bag off his back he opened it, and forced the bag of food into the smaller bag, the charm on it allowing such a big thing to be shoved into it. he grinned and looked at her, "what muggle don't know wont hurt them right?" he said as he slung it back onto his shoulder and watched the pup.
"he needs a name . . and i cant think of one . . got any suggestions?" he asked her as he started to walk down the street. he hadn't seen his aunt in ages, he'd been meaning too, but things were hectic, and he knew they didnt expect him to be at every family thing, but he tried to get to as many as he was invited too.

[/div] Something in the Way she Moves She felt Teddy grasp her hand and she helped him up, the new puppy having sat down beside his owner, looking up at him. It was picture perfect. Man and his best friend.
"yeeeah . . he's not the mean ornery dog i was hoping for that's for sure" She laughed, not everything and everyone turned out the way someone wanted them too. In her perfect world, all her children would get on great and Harry would have a good, loving bond with Al. Sadly perfect worlds didnt exist.
"spending all of uncle harry's money then are you?" She looked down at the bags in her hand, there wasnt that many and besides she too worked. "This happens to be the money i earnt doing all those hours overtime in the office. For some reason the daily prophet just cant seem to keep any quidditch journalists," she replied, virtually summing up how her days had been since she had last seen her adopted son. Ginny watched as he glanced around, obviously making sure no one saw them before he put the dog food in his bag. An undetectable extension charm, she gathered by the way he put it in. Oh the joy muggles could get out of using that charm. Many women would probably hide half of their shopping in said bag until they were out of sight of their husbands. While the women would enjoy it, men would be pulling their hairs out. She nodded, watching as the last of the bag of dog food disappeared in this pack. "He needs a name . . and i cant think of one . . got any suggestions?" Teddy asked as he begun walking down the street. Ginny kept in line with him, watching the playful pup. She was never really good at naming things either. "Well i'd say Patch is too common," she began, "And well it would be amusing to call him James, but i dont think James nor Harry would appreciate that. Al and Lily would find it funny though." She chuckled. She could just imagine James meeting James and Harry fuming. No they didnt want to upset her husband now. Maybe he could be named something from the magical world, but what? Seeker, well that depended on if the dog had a gift for seeking things out. Bludger...no he wasnt an aggressive one. It was hard naming things. [/div] TEDDY!, 401 words!, n/a!, made by ANYA of CAUTION!
