the secret side of me, i never let you see__ i keep it caged but i can't control it- - "I . . I j-just will go to c-class then! she d-doesn't have to know Sey . . " Seyton felt bad. Really he did. He didn’t want to scare his little brother, or make him paranoid. He didn’t want nightmares haunting his little brother’s sleep each night or for him to drive himself insane from worry and fear. What he did want, though, was to make Jasper be realistic. To be prepared. In Seyton’s mind realisticness was accepting the danger to Nikki. Jasper couldn’t just pretend that it didn’t exist. That didn’t make it any less real, or make Nikki any more safe. “You are not going to class, Jasp.” Sey tried to make his tone as authorative ‘I’m the nurse and I’m in charge’ as possible, but he felt he failed rather miserably. He felt bad for Jasper, he really did, and as long as he felt bad for him he just couldn’t be harsh, even for the kid’s own benefit. “You’re no where near well enough to go two rooms away from the hospital wing, let alone an entire castle away to a class. So yes, she will notice. Ignoring the danger to her doesn’t make it disappear.”"She d-doesnt deserve to know!" Pausing, Sey debated giving his little brother a moment to realize exactly how damned stupid that statement sounded, and then took the liberty of explaining it: “She doesn’t deserve to know what’s going on with her own life? To have control of it? You can’t make her be a puppet by hiding her from what’s going on with you.” Nikita had more than the right to know things that would affect her own life, right? "It's n-not f-fair already! s-she's sticking w-with me t-through f-full moons . . a-and my t-temper . . but s-she doesn't need t-to know t-that the most f-feared and h-hated w-werewolf in the w-world will have her in her s-scents if h-he finds out . . " Life isn’t fair. Wasn’t that the typical response to any teenage ‘It’s not fair!’ rant? But Sey couldn’t make himself say it, because Jasper was definitely telling the truth. It wasn’t fair that Nikki was in trouble for caring about someone and her blood status. It wasn’t fair that Jasper was forced to be involved in this mess. It wasn’t fair that he was born a werewolf, and it wasn’t fair that his father was a psychopath. The thing was, there was nothing they could do about it, so they just had to deal. ”I know it’s not fair, Jasp, but there’s nothing you can do to prevent any of that. And… you shouldn’t worry about her leave you because of knowing either, if that’s what you’re thinking of. I mean… if she’s stuck with you despite everything… er, about you, she should be able to handle Fenrir, right? And if she can’t… then maybe she doesn’t deserve to be with you.” There. That was Sey’s lame big brother attempt to cheer his little brother up, and he didn’t really expect it to work, especially not coming from him. Hell, from what he’d just said Angel wouldn’t really deserve to be with him, but he still wanted her by his side. He scowled as his brother struggled to his feet, looking a little bit stronger but not really enough to be noteworthy. At least he wasn’t holding on to anything, which was kind of foolish… all it took was one second for him to pass out and crash to the floor before Seyton could catch him for the Gryffindor student to whack his head on a table and do some serious damage to himself again. Serious head injuries were no easy thing to fix. "D-don't you d-dare u-use magic to m-make me lay down again" Well, he didn’t say anything about physical force to make the student sit still… but Sey waited, for now. "T-ther h-has to be s-some way . . a-anyway . . i d-don't w-want her t-to be scared" Sey sighed, ”Jasp, being scared is better than being completely caught off guard, isn’t it?”"What d-do you m-mean . . . you k-know" Sey swallowed, and bit his lip, and paused for a very long time. Then, without much warning, he stood and lifted his brother in one smooth motion, lifting him in a fireman’s hold for a few seconds as he moved back to the bed and lay him back on the bed on his back. There were some advantages to being a werewolf… strength plus Jasper’s size made the movement rather easy. “Move one inch and I’ll force feed you a sleeping draught to make you actually stay still for more than ten damn seconds,” he warned. His tone wasn’t so gentle and brotherly anymore. It was rather… exhausted. Yeah, that was probably the right word. Exhausted with that ‘I’m-not-in-the-mood-to-take-any-shit’ edge. Not really looking at his brother any more, he sat down on the edge of the bed and stared at the ground between his feet. He glanced back at his brother for a sec, offering him a quick very obviously forced smile as though he was trying to apologize for being so short with him a moment before. “You didn’t think I’m that ‘great’ of a guy to have hated Fenrir for my entire life because it’s the right thing to do, did you?” The smile vanished as he looked back at the ground. ”I grew up with Fenrir ‘til I was three and he went off to Azkaban, and when he got out he was already ‘giving me’ brothers and sisters, so he never came back to me or my mom. Well, obviously not my mom because she died when I was seven, but… anyways, I wanted my dad to be proud of me. I practically worshipped him, even if I didn’t agree with everything he… er, thought. We kept in contact through letters, and I’d see him each summer for sure. And then… in my sixth year a Hufflepuff Quidditch player caught my eye- I was big into Quidditch back then. We became friends quickly, and in the beginning of our seventh year, with each of us the captain of our teams, I asked her out.” His eyes were still fixated on the floor, like he was afraid that if he looked at his brother he’d see Jasper laughing at him. He hadn't told his side of this story to anyone before, not even his adoptive family. His brother probably thought he was pathetic. “To me… the sun rose and set on her. I would have done absolutely anything for her. Anything to make her happy. Anything to see her smile… she was amazing Jasper. There was just one little issue… she was a ‘mudblood’.” He hated that word, and could only really use it mockingly, like he was making fun of the stupidity of people who called muggleborns such words. "But... you know, I was an idiot. I didn't see the issue. I was blind, I guess. I thought Fenrir wouldn't care... I guess I thought that he'd be happy I loved her and that would be that. So I told her not to worry about him, and brought her with me to see him that Summer." He swallowed again, and for the first time looked back at Jasper. "Three weeks. She was in a coma in St. Mungo's for three fucking weeks, all because of me, Jasper. The healers... they weren't sure she'd ever wake up. I spent every minute by her bed, praying she'd open her eyes... and when she did she wanted nothing more to do with me. Because I didn't tell her, and because of him... She hates me, Jasper. She thinks I'm just like Fenrir, or at least have amazing potential to be like him. I... I don't want you to go through that, too, Jasp. You can't just keep Nikki in the dark about Fenrir. Like I said, if you do and something happens... her reaction will be even worse."(Outfit) TEMPLATE BY VIKA OF CAUTION.

Jasper frowned and pushed against Seyton's shoulder as he picked him up. He friend but he knew whatever effort he put into getting away from his brother was futile. Jasper was a lightweight, still growing and not very well built yet. And his brother wa s afull werewolf and he was built like a brick shit house and Jasper resigned himself to glaring at his brother with a icy glare. He frowned and shifted as he was put back on the bed, like a bloody toddler caught sneaking out of his bed to raid the fridge or something and he dropped back onto the pillows, falling back against them with a soft thud. He winced as the pain in his side pulled at him and he groaned slightly. Shifting to get comfortable on the hard cold bed.
He hear his brother's harsher tone and he looked up at him slightly. He shook his head slightly and he groaned, running a hand over his face and shaking his head as he heard him. "Seyton . . " He growled. He was frustrated, tired still and really all he wanted to do was curl up and fall asleep, in a different bed. His four poster in the corner of the gryffindor common, with the fireplace burning in the corner keeping the room warm. He shut his eyes and coughed, running his hand through his hair and he shook his head and rolled over slightly as his brother sat down on the bed. Not really happy with him and he rests his head on his arm and shuts his eyes. Yeah, he figured he was being childish but his brother had annoyed him. Jasper didn't care if he was doing his job or not.
He frowned and shifted his head, seeing the forced smile that came out of his brothers mouth and he responded with a glare. He turned his head to cough, the cough was rougher than it had been before he had stood up, but he ignored it, his hand shifting to his side as he wondered whether the potions were still having the desired effect on his body. He hoped they would, he was over feeling like his lung was leaking. He heard his brother keep talking. And he really shouldn't have been surprised, or mad really. But this whole day was annoying him, now he was healed, and thinking clearer, and he was over the shock of all that had happened, and he was in to the 'well who do i kill' phase of dealing.
"I dunno Seyton . . . you could have hated . . . Puff the magic dragon and turned out to be a bad guy . . so . . i don't think who you hate has anything to do with it" He said as he rolled back onto his back and glanced at his brother. Something in his voice was telling him something wasn't right with his brother and the nice person in Jasper wanted to listen to what he had to say. He ran his hand through his hair again and made to rub the back of his neck. He couldn't imagine having to grow up with Fenrir, after all, Jasper had apparently only met him once and he had wound up in the hospital wing with Seyton threatening him to stay still. He pushed himself up again, forcing himself to straighten his arms and he watched his brother. "How the hell could you worship him Seyton . . " He knew his brother would have been young and impressionable . . but still . . to practically worship Fenrir, Seyton was starting to worry slightly about his older brother.
He looked up at him again when he started talking about a girl. Jasper knew exactly how he felt. He was the same with Niki. She could do no wrong when she was with Jasper, nothing she did was wrong, and the sun really did set when she left him at the end of each day, and then it rose again when she came back into view, and when he wasn't with her he was in darkness. He shook his head slightly, kinda hating how far and hard he had fallen for her, but he was still loving every minute of it. He looked up when he said she was a 'mudblood' he didn't think that was fair, it wasn't someone's blood who made them the person. "So she's like Nikki is . . " He said quietly, not wanting to make it sound the same, but really, they were.
He saw his brother swallow and he shook his head, shifting forward so he was sitting next to Seyton and he shook his head again. "No Seyton . . not because of you . . . because of fenrir and his high and mighty w-ways . . " He said, trying to reassure his brother that what had happened, hadn't been his fault. He bit his lip and watched his brother, a lump forming in Jasper's throat as his brother finished talking. He wondered how it would feel . . if Nikki ever decided that she didn't want anything to do with Jasper anymore. Jasper had a feeling, that like real wolves, werewolves mated for life, only chose one partner. Well thats what he hoped.
He moves closer to Seyton, and he wrapped his arm around his shoulder in a half hug, he couldn't manage a full hug right now, with the way they were sitting and the fact that he wasn't sure if Seyton would even want the hug. He shook his head and slid off the bed again, grabbing Seyton's arm and standing in front of him, sensing that his big brother was probably about ready to burst into tears and he shook his head slightly. He wouldn't care if he did, Jasper felt like crying too, though for different reasons. He put his hands on Seyton's shoulders and bit his lip again. "Sey . . I doubt she hates you Seyton . . she's probably just scared that it'll happen again . . . so . . you n-need to tell her it wont . . . if she'll let you . . and if she'll listen . . ." He said, turning his head away to cough, and he hoped his brother wouldn't move him again, he didn't really want to do this laying down.
He chewed his lip and looked at his brother, his older brother who had done so much for Jasper over the years. Hell, Seyton was more like Jasper's father to him than his real dad was, Fenrir had never once looked after Jasper, when he had been hurt, it has been Seyton at school, and he figured it was because he was the school nurse, though, Jasper was pretty sure that even if he wasn't the school nurse, Sey still would have helped him. "Seyton . . it's not going to be the same . . " He said, with a slight sigh, he knew he would never be able to keep it from Nikki, because as much as it wasn't fair for her to have to go through something like this just for being muggle Born, it wasn't fair for her to go through something like that either. "I'll tell her . . okay . . I will . . and I'll deal with whatever comes after it . " He said softly, more to himself than Seyton and then he looked at his brother again, trying to meet his eyes. "A-are you okay?" He said, wanting to know ,his older brother worried him, really. Especially now.

the secret side of me, i never let you see__ i keep it caged but i can't control it- - "Seyton . . " Nu-uh. No way. Not now. If the younger Greyback knew what was good for him, he’d shut up because Seyton’s force feeding threats were very very real and leaned more towards ‘promises’ than ‘threats’. He had a ready made batch of sleeping draughts every day of the week, often used by their little sister around full moons, and it would take a simple accio spell to summon it to Seyton’s grasp and make Jasper go night-night. Seyton was not in the mood to deal with a moody little bratty brother who didn’t want to take his medicine. On any other day he might be a bit more humorous about it all and therefore more lenient to his brother moving around, but not today with Sey’s mind on what it was on and after everything that had happened to lead to this situation. "I dunno Seyton . . . you could have hated . . . Puff the magic dragon and turned out to be a bad guy . . so . . i don't think who you hate has anything to do with it" Oh the joys of knowing and working around teenagers… all of the attitude. It almost, almost, made Seyton glad that he would never have children of his own because he would never have to put up with their loathing stares and know-it-all attitudes. Again, emphasis on the almost… but it was irrelevant, seeing as he’d never have kids of his own anyway. No, he’d make do with brothers and sisters who sometimes infuriated him as much as they made him proud, a perfect example being the irritating Gryffindor right now. "How the hell could you worship him Seyton . . " Sey sighed, but his anger faded back into the monotonous sort of attitude he’d had a moment before. He couldn’t really understand it now, either, looking back on those years… but there had to be a reason. ”Because. He was my dad. He was there for the first few years of my life, and even when he wasn’t we kept in touch. I wanted him to be proud of me, and because he was my dad I was completely blind to all his damned faults, or I twisted them in my brain so that they didn’t seem so terrible. I didn’t have a mother who raised me to be wise to what sort of a guy he was. Yeah, she was more carefree when he was gone, but she did somehow care for him, even though they were pretty much polar opposites.” Yes, he should have been able to figure out what sort of a person Fenrir was ages before he did, but that was his mistake to live with every day. He’d just been a kid back then… or, well, a teenager. He’d thought he’d known everything. Of course, now he realized how stupid he’d been, but it was too late to change anything. "So she's like Nikki is . . " Sey nodded slowly. “Except she was two years older than Nikki is, with her OWLs and NEWTs under her belt.” What was he doing? Trying to scare Jasper as much as possible? Jasper was a smart kid, and he was sure Nikki was, too. She was, if his memory served him correctly, a Ravenclaw student after all. Yeah, two, well three really, more years of schooling could do a lot of difference but… that was irrelevant, because if Jasper and Nikki were quieter about their relationship they should be perfectly fine… right? "No Seyton . . not because of you . . . because of fenrir and his high and mighty w-ways . . " Sey said nothing. Yeah, sure. That too. But if he hadn’t been such a fool, if he’d been honest with Angel and not so blinded by his dad… it never would have happened. So yeah, it was his fault, in the end. He wasn’t quite sure how, but he just knew that he could have prevented everything so that the entire mess would have never occurred, but he hadn’t. Maybe he’d been selfish, or blind, or just damned stupid like he always said, but the bottom line was that he hadn’t and his girlfriend had paid. Sey really didn’t think he’d ever be able to forgive himself for that. He was only actually aware that Jasper was on the move again when he felt his little brother’s arm wrap around him in a half hug that Seyton barely responded to, too lost in his own thoughts to really react or carry through on his ‘promise’ from earlier. The boy moved more, even standing up which probably wasn’t good for his health… Seyton appreciated the gesture, and maybe if he weren't so distracted he'd be touched and cheered up by it, but right now he just... couldn't. "Sey . . I doubt she hates you Seyton . . she's probably just scared that it'll happen again . . . so . . you n-need to tell her it wont . . . if she'll let you . . and if she'll listen . . ." The nurse just shook his head. ”I’ve seen her once since. A few weeks ago, actually,” he admitted quietly. There was a bit of irony in that possibly the person who’d made him happiest in his life and the person who’d made him the most miserable were reappearing in his life within a month of each other, though he thought the odds of him encountering his father again were far more likely than encountering Angel. ”The second I realized who she was she disappeared. She still hates me, Jasper, and I don’t blame her. Not really. She’s a quidditch player, and I’m stuck at this school… she’ll be staying away from Hogwarts now, I’m almost sure of it, so there’s no reason for us to cross paths again. Even if we did she’d just leave. She won’t listen to me, and… I don’t want to make promises I can’t keep.”"Seyton . . it's not going to be the same . . I'll tell her . . okay . . I will . . and I'll deal with whatever comes after it . " ”She deserves to know,” Sey repeated the point firmly, his tone a bit warmer, though. ”But… From what you’ve told me, Nikki’s very… strong and down to earth. I don’t think you have to worry about her reaction.” Truthfully Sey knew no such thing, but he felt bad for possibly worrying his brother with his own story and wanted to try to reassure Jasper. After all, just because something happened to him didn’t mean it would happen to Jasper. Yeah, they were similar, but their lives weren’t identical copies of each other. Apparently getting things off of your chest was supposed to help. Apparently it was supposed to clear your mind and organize your thoughts and lift the weight of a hippogriff off of your shoulders. Apparently a lot of people believed that, and apparently if it were true, Seyton was the exception. Saying what had gone on with him didn’t make it any better. It made it… more real. Fenrir was around the school, and Angel had been around the school. If they crossed paths, at the very least, Angel would be terrified. But it wasn’t as though Sey could protect her, either. She’d probably curse him the second she came within ten feet of her. The weight just seemed to have increased by tenfold… adding Jasper, and Nikki, to the list of things on his mind wasn’t exactly going to help his stress levels. "A-are you okay?" Blinking furiously for a few seconds, Sey tried to piece his mind together again. Calm down. Relax. Smile like you’re as carefree as an infant… Sey lifted his eyes to look at his brother, nodding slightly with a small forced smile appearing on his lips. “…Yeah, I’m fine.” Lies. "Sorry about that..." he sighed, cutting off what could have turned into a very long-winded apology before it began. (Outfit) TEMPLATE BY VIKA OF CAUTION.

Jasper just listened quietly. Knowing that Seyton would probably need to get everything off his chest and he didn't mind listening. He was shoving his pain and his problems to the side for now. He reckoned Sey might need him right now, he knew that Sey was always there when Jasper needed him, hell he had been there earlier, helping him and trying to save his life with what his father had done to him, he believe Seyton know, thinking he was stupid to have ever thought his older brother had laid a hand on him. He bit his lip and he nodded, his hands still on Seyton's shoulders as he heard him speak, the contact made Jasper feel like he was helping his brother somehow, even if he really wasn't, but, he reckoned it would in the long run.
He shook his head. "Your not stuck here seyton . . . b-by w-what law say's y-your stuck here?" He said, his voice catching slightly. His older brother was by no means trapped at the school, he could leave when he wanted too, and Jasper was going to let him know, love was important. And if Seyton had found that, he should work to keep it, lord knows he deserved it more than the next person did. He bot his lip as he listened to him and he shook his head. "Sey . . " He said softly, he could see it in his brother face that this was hurting him more than he was letting on. Jasper was all too used to hiding his feelings from people, but there were a select few who saw through him, Sey was usually one of them.
He turned his head to cough, the movement racking his body as he did, hoping he would last a few more moments standing as the conversation kept moving. He bit his lip when he spoke of Nikki. "Yeah . . s-she is . . . s-she's so strong . . s-she's stronger than m-me" He said, meaning every word. She was stronger than Jasper, so much stronger, and she was all the more smarter. Which is why this one time he was hoping she wouldn't use her brains and walk away form him, not now, not when he would need her so much. So Seyton's girl had been a muggle born too. Well that was something, so they had that in common too. He bit his lip and his eyes watched his brothers face as he sat there, and it was Seyton's turn to look crumpled. And no matter how much he denied it Jasper would see right through it, it was Jasper's trait, he could read people.
He shook his head when Seyton said he was okay. Jasper would have rolled his eyes if he didn't think that it would make his head spin again, he tightened his grip on Seyton's shoulders in what he hoped was a comforting squeeze, since he could sense his brother was about to burst into tears and he bit his lip again. "Seyton . . you're not fine . . a-and don't s-say sorry . . everyone g-gets down s-sometimes . . . and . . if y-you try and b-be strong a-all the time . . it b-breaks you . . m-make's you w-weaker than like" He said softly, going to sit next to Seyton again, he wrapped his arm around his shoulders again and made to poke the back of his brothers head like he had always done, or since he met him and he grinned slightly. "And d-don't say s-sorry . . for being . . w-wereman? . . no . . h-human . . a-and dont k-kid yourself . . . t-there's only o-one night a month w-when your n-not" He said, trying to add a bit of humor back. And just because him and Seyton had wolf traits, and became different one day of the month, didn't mean they weren't human all the other days of the month.

the secret side of me, i never let you see__ i keep it caged but i can't control it- - "Your not stuck here seyton . . . b-by w-what law say's y-your stuck here?" By my law. Sey would never go out chasing after Angel… he just couldn’t. He’d been rejected and had his emotions thrown around enough so many years ago, and again in recent months. He couldn’t handle any more backfired attempts at reconnecting, as he knew they would all backfire. Her opinions were obvious, and he just somehow, somehow, had to accept that and move on. ”I’m needed around here. It’s a school. Kids get hurt every day, and they need a healer around. And I’m not about to up and leave for a disaster-course-trip to go see an ex with Fenrir hanging around here again. I’m just not.”Seyton had never been good at hiding his feelings. Not when they were right there and impossible to ignore. He’d always been good at making himself numb to them, which then made it seem as though they didn’t exist, but when emotions were piling up on him and attacking him like this there was no way he could instantly make himself go numb. He felt pitiful and pathetic, weak like some hormonal teenager whose emotions were all random and out of whack. He was the big brother here. He was the adult. He was supposed to be the role model. He should be able to control himself! What little brother wanted to see their older brother fall to pieces in front of them, or would reasonably hold on to respect for the said brother if they did? It just wasn’t right… it wasn’t wise, or safe, for a werewolf to be unable to control their emotions. Even on nights other than a full moon, werewolves naturally had much higher tempers than normal wizards, and were more prone to violence in any mood. If he lost control of himself by becoming upset he could lash out at any thing and hurt himself or people around him. Why the hell couldn’t meditation or something like that work for him like it might for any normal person? "Yeah . . s-she is . . . s-she's so strong . . s-she's stronger than m-me" There it was again, the all-too-familiar tone in Jasper’s voice that reminded Seyton so much of how he’d viewed Angel when he was a student. He hoped that his brother was right, and he also hoped that part of that strength would not lead Jasper’s girlfriend to leave him behind for her own good. He might be able to understand her reasoning if it came to that, as he supposed he could Angel’s, but he’d do anything to not see his little brother go through that. At least one of the Gryffindor Greyback males deserved to be happy, and it was clear in everything about Jasper when he thought or spoke about Nikki that the Ravenclaw girl made him more than happy. But it wasn’t fair for Jasper to speak like that about himself… ”You don’t realize what you did, do you, Jasper? No, of course you don’t, you don’t remember a damned thing, but you stood up to pretty much the most damned intimidating, terrifying werewolf in the world on your own, Jasp. You had the courage to defy Fenrir Greyback, and you came out of it alive. Okay, so you’ve got a… er, few bumps and bruises, but you did it. You’re a lot stronger than you give yourself credit for.”"Seyton . . you're not fine . . a-and don't s-say sorry . . everyone g-gets down s-sometimes . . . and . . if y-you try and b-be strong a-all the time . . it b-breaks you . . m-make's you w-weaker than like" How was it that suddenly their roles were reversed? It was like Jasper was the older one, the big brother cheering up an upset little sibling… and Sey definitely appreciated the motivation behind Jasper’s actions and the hug, but it did, again, make him feel rather pathetic. He should be stronger than this, or at the very least better at hiding his distinct lack of strength. Luckily it was Jasper that was seeing him as ‘a mess’, even if he weren’t a complete wreck yet, and not someone who might use it against him… specific visions of Fenrir, Zmeyette, and a certain ex-best-friend of his came to mind. It would probably amuse them all to no end to see exactly how badly things affected him to this day from his past. Seyton would never give them that satisfaction. ”It’s… it’s a lot to focus on, Jasp. That probably sounds really pathetic to you, but…” He let himself trail off, not even sure of what he was trying to say. His mind was rambling and his mouth couldn’t shut up in time before he spoke to stop himself from not making sense. “Sometimes I almost find it ironic that the thing, or person, I threw away my relationship with my dad, and a potential very, very twisted happiness, for is now the person who hates me more than anyone else. Well, maybe. I don’t have much judge of how much Fenrir despises me right now…” A ghost of a smile passed over his lips as he glanced at his beat up brother. “But I’m guessing it’s more than enough to kill m- er, I’m guessing a hell of a lot after the stunt I just pulled.”"And d-don't say s-sorry . . for being . . w-wereman? . . no . . h-human . . a-and dont k-kid yourself . . . t-there's only o-one night a month w-when your n-not" Sure, Seyton certainly disagreed, but he didn’t want to march down that potential debate path with Jasper right now. Nor did he want to confirm what his brother said… so he just looked away, down the hospital wing to where the potions were stored as though it just reminded him. ”I should get you your next batch of potions, now that you’ve had some rest… your voice is still really shaky.” It was a topic change he expected would crash and burn, but at least he’d tried. "Thanks . . b-but i dont think so . . . " He said, a slight grin turning up at his mouth. "I t-think it w-was s-stupidity . . and n-not bravery that got me t-though whatever i w-went through" He said, his head nodding slightly, as if to accent what he had just said.
Jasp still had his arm around his brother's shoulders. He bit his lip and watched him, he could amost see the machines whirring in his older brother's head about what he had just said and what was hapening here. And Jasper didnt mind seeing people upset, it reminded him that they were more like him than he thought. There had been times when he had wanted to curl up and cry, yeah even though he was a guy, and he was a wolf, didnt mean he didnt wish for it sometimes, hell it was a lot easier than being strong all the time. He looked down at the floor and he shook his head slightly. Already knowing what was running through his head and he looked at seyton. "Dont w-worry about it S-sey . . n-next time i f-feel l ike breaking down . . i-i'll come to y-you . . . then w-we'll be even" He said softly. Jasper had always had a knack for knowing how people felt, or so he thought, but most of the time he was usually right.
He shook his head slightly. "Only s-slightly pathetic" He said, he couldnt help the grin that spread across his face that time, even if the pain in his side was growing again, it still made him laugh. He took his arm from around his brother's shoulders and made to hold his hand against his ribs, and he coughed. He was starting to think he should have listened to his older brother, about the not moving, after all, potion's took time to work, they werent often quick fixes and some of them worked their magic over time, on the condition the patient kept still. He shook his head slightly and tried to ignore it, looking at his brother as if nothing was wrong, which he didnt want to let on there was, he was a lot like Seyton in that way he thought, didnt like to show people what was wrong with him.
"i d-dont think s-she hate's y-you . . . " Jasper said quietly, anyone who could hate Seyton was behind him. There was really nothing to hate, and that wasnt just coming from his little brother. It was true. He shook his head and looked at Seyton, a small grin spreading across his face, though he knew it was probably a bit contorted, with the pain that was ebbing it's way back into his side. "w-well he d-didnt k-kill me . . . d-doubt he could kill you" He said, a small nod of his head as he shifted on the bed and he bit his lip, his fingers curling around his ribs and he shook his head slightly, turning his head away from Seyton to try and hide the wince that came. Yep, he really shoulda stayed still.
He heard what seyton said and he felt his stomach jump at the thought of having to swallow another ne of the those gut wrenching potions and he looked back at Seyton and he shook his head slightly. He thought about it for a minute, whether he should tell him the pain was back, if he didnt already know it and he bit his lip hard. He swallowed and sucked it up, remebering what he had said to his brother a few minutes ago and he swallowed again. "I d-dont f-feel . . s-so g-good again s-sey . . " He said quietly, the color slowly draining from his face as he shifted and winced. He put his other hand to his head and he dropped his head slightly, the feeling of about to pass out washing over him again and he looked at Seyton, his eyes suddenly swimming and he slumped forward, his head hit Seyton's shoulder as he passed out. The darkness swallowed him up again, but this time it was diffrent, it was darker . . and a whole lot scarier.

the secret side of me, i never let you see__ i keep it caged but i can't control it- - "Thanks . . b-but i dont think so . . . “ Well, really, it didn’t matter what the Gryffindor student thought, Seyton knew. Even back when he’d been a loyal son of their father’s, he’d easily recognized the power that the man had and feared it as much as he had stupidly respected the alpha werewolf. He’d seen it again today. Fenrir had a presence that was impossible to ignore, and just as hard to defy even to Seyton. ”I t-think it w-was s-stupidity . . and n-not bravery that got me t-though whatever i w-went through" Okay, so sure, stupidity might have had a bit to do with it, too, but there was idiocy involved in every courageous decision. Run into a burning building to save a kid? Stupidity for your own life, courage for theirs. Jump from a tree. Stupidity for your safety, courage to face the height and fear… he preferred to think that Jasper’s move was more courage than stupidity. "Dont w-worry about it S-sey . . n-next time i f-feel l ike breaking down . . i-i'll come to y-you . . . then w-we'll be even" He appreciated the thought, he really did, but it just didn’t seem right. He was a decade older than his little brother, Jasper shouldn’t have to worry about his thoughts or health as Sey did his. That was the job of the older brother to look after his little siblings, wasn’t it? If you were younger you were supposed to be carefree, supposed to be selfish and let the adults worry for themselves. Teenagers had too many worries on their minds, as ironic as that might sound to Seyton if he took the time to think about it, they shouldn’t need to worry about people who were, or should be, more than capable of looking after themselves. "Only s-slightly pathetic" Slightly. Well, wasn’t that a big comfort. Sey cracked a small, rather forced smile, trying to make himself relax so that Jasper wouldn’t need to worry so much about him, or at least wouldn’t be able to read him quite so clearly. "i d-dont think s-she hate's y-you . . . " Jasper couldn’t know. He had never met Angel. He hadn’t seen the look in her eyes that day at the hospital, or the way she’d ran off so quickly when she’d met him at Hogwarts. But maybe he was right. Maybe she didn’t hate Seyton. Maybe she despised him. Actually, yeah, that was probably more likely after what he’d caused her to go through. Hate wasn’t strong enough a word. "w-well he d-didnt k-kill me . . . d-doubt he could kill you" But he could have… so easily. Fenrir might cling to some hope that he could turn Jasper to his side, but Sey was clearly a lost cause. Look at how easily he had erased the student’s memories, with Seyton not even realizing what had happened until they were gone. That unspoken ‘obliviate’ could have just as easily been an unspoken ‘avada kedavra’ and Seyton would be history. He was terrified of Fenrir, he was just loathe to admit it and would never admit it. He much preferred the danger that came with the choices he’d made than being another brainless minion of Fenrir. Besides, the danger wasn’t very obvious when he hadn’t really seen his dad since he was seventeen. He’d gone ages without seeing him for the encounter today. Maybe he could go ages more before another. "I d-dont f-feel . . s-so g-good again s-sey . . " Seyton’s head jerked around, alarm bells ringing off in his mind even before he saw the color of his brother’s face. It was like there was no blood there at all… he was as white as a ghost, and the comparison put Sey on edge. A millisecond later his brother was out, slumped forward like a lifeless doll. If he’d been standing, if Seyton hadn’t been there, he probably would have fallen on the floor. As it was the boy was steadied on Seyton’s shoulder, and he quickly twisted to put his hands on Jasper’s sides and steady him so he wouldn’t topple to the ground. ”Jasp?” He wouldn’t be out for long. He couldn’t be out for long… he’d be awake again in ten seconds, right? ”…Jasper?” Standing himself, Sey laid his brother back on the bed so his head was resting on the pillow, lying on his side so that if he woke up vomiting it wouldn’t be all over himself. The seconds ticked by, each taking an eternity to pass, and with every moment Seyton’s panic grew from a small uneasiness to a genuine fear. “C’mon, bro… wake up!” Fighting to keep his calm with the growing pit of dread in his stomach, Seyton grabbed his brother’s wrist, feeling for a pulse. It was there… but so, so faint… Sey moved his hand to his neck, hoping for a stronger pulse there, but there was only a similar result. The room suddenly seemed unbearably small and cramped and warm. Sey kept switching pulses, hoping to feel a miraculous strong beat, but that didn't happen and Jasper still wasn't coming to. Jasper could feel his heartbeat, see it, hear it as he lay there, for god knows how long. The steady rythm that had been weak at one point, was growing, and he could feel it. As it did, he slowly started to feel like he could wake up. His mind wasnt keeping him down anymore, his body wasnt feeling like it was tied down anymore, and the dreams he had been having were ebbing away as his heatbreat grew stronger. He fohght with his eyes to open, seeing the flicking of lights between his eyelids as the light was broken when they closed again. He heard a small groan, but he couldnt be sure if it was coming from him or someone else. His head still felt like it was floating, though it was coming down now.
His body didnt feel heavy anymore. He managed to shifts and he shifted his hand against the blanket of the bed, and finally his eyes managed to open, and he blinked against the light from the hospital wing,. the brightness of it causing his head to rhob and this time it was certainly him that groaned as he shut his eyes again to cut off the light. He shifted slightly, feeling the blankets had been pulled up around him, and weakly he made to ry and kick them off as he moved to roll to his side. The dull pain in his side as he rolled didnt both him as much as he opened his eyes and looked around, clearly disorentatded to where he was and he swallowed, his throat was dry and he felt like he hadnt had a drink in years. He coughed slightly and blinked slightly, opening his eyes again, dispite the light.
He felt weak, drained somehow, as if waking up had been the hardest thing he had even done, and the feeling it left him with was an un easy one, he hated feeling this weak and tired, and he started to wonder if something was wrong. Then, in a flash he remebered what had happened. He had been in the hospital wing with Seyton, he'd been cut and beaten badly, he remebed the taste of the foul potion and he fought back a gag, his stomach already churning from his head and the light he had seen. And now the movment. He shifted his head slightly, raising it off the pillow carefuly to glance around at the room and he swore he saw someone sitting in a chair beside the bed, but he couldnt be sure.
He coughed again and shook his head, his eyes glancing down to what seemed and felt to be a millon blankets over him. He shook his head again and he lifted his hand to push them off him, he felt to hot now, hotter than he should feel, and he wondered if that was to do with waking up. He looked under his hand and he saw a white shirt. He blinked curiously and he managed to choke out. "w-where's m-my . . s-shirt" He said, the words catching in his dry throat and he droped his head back to the pillow. He shut his eyes and tried to think again, his mind slowly coming back and his body was slowly feeling like it could move again, well a while lot easier that it had before. He smacked his lips slightkly, feeling them crack as he did and he rolled his head to the side. "S-sey?" He said weakly, knowing his brother was probably right there beside his bed. "n-now c-can i h-have a d-drink?" He said, with the same stregnth as a few seconds ago. Remebering his brother had refusd him a drink before he had passed out.

the secret side of me, i never let you see__ i keep it caged but i can't control it- - Seyton had been here before. Sitting. Waiting. Eyes darting to the motionless body in a hospital bed every ten seconds. Waiting some more. Pacing back and forth. Sitting down again. Readjusting his brother’s medications and those good old-fashioned IVs that should keep nutriants running through his body. Moving to his office for five minutes to try and do paperwork. Giving up and returning to Jasper’s bedside. Rubbing his eyes and downing another potion to keep the sleep away, and praying every single goddamned second that the patient, looking to be peacefully sleeping under the sheets, would wake up. The déjà vu was suffocating to the werewolf, the anxiety even moreso. This wasn’t supposed to happen. Not again. He’d decided to be a healer to help stop it from happening, moreso to other people but certainly to himself, as well. Waiting with a loved one unresponsive, whether at St. Mungo’s or a simple hospital wing like at Hogwarts, was agonizing. The uncertainty killing, excuse the poor joke. And yet, here Seyton was again… hopefully for the very last time, with a more enjoyable ending than his time spent at St. Mungo’s with Angel in a coma. He’d told all of the teachers what was going. Well, kind of. He hadn’t told them how this had all gone about… for all they knew it was just an illness. Because of his relationship with Jasper and position at the hospital wing he was able to be the main one looking after his brother, which suited him well seeing as he’d only spent, maybe, ten minutes out of sight straight from his brother in the last nearly-five days. The hardest person to deal with had been Nikita. He hadn’t really spoken to her before… more just a smiling ‘hey’ in the hallway as she recognized him as her boyfriend’s brother, but no real conversations on any level but ‘how’re you?’ etc. It had only taken Jasper’s first day in a coma, though, before Nikki had come to the hospital wing to seek Sey out, and he’d had to hurry to raise the curtains around Jasper’s bed, hide him from his girlfriend’s view, and tell her some bullshit story of how he’d gone home for a little while to be with family. She’d believed him. After all, what reason could he possibly have to lie to her? Maybe he should have told her the truth… Jasper was going to have to do that eventually, but he felt that it should come from Jasper himself. Nikki could blame Seyton for lying if she wanted, it wasn’t Jasper’s fault. He probably looked like hell. He’d showered, but hadn’t slept in five days. He knew there were bags under his eyes, his hair was messy, and he didn’t think he’d cracked a smile in almost five days. This wait was agonizing to Seyton. Sure, his brother’s pulse had steadied. His heartbeat was louder, stronger, and his breathing steadier than it had been in the first tense while after he passed out. But he was missing the very crucial aspect of being awake and capable of movement and thought and his own decisions… every day that passed without Jasper waking up made it more unlikely that he ever would. And he didn’t… well, either way, Seyton wanted to kill Fenrir Greyback. If something more serious happened to his little brother, he’d just seek the bastard out instead of patiently waiting for the right opportunity. But he couldn’t think of that. Jasper had to wake up. He just had to. How was Seyton supposed to explain his lie to Nikki if the boy she cared about wasn’t going to wake up? How was he supposed to get the news to her mom? How was he supposed to live with himself, constantly haunted by what could have been done to potentially help Jasp… he couldn’t, to be blunt. His brother had to wake up. And then… he did. Seyton found himself looking at Jasper again when his eyes fluttered open, he heard the slight groan and the next second Jasper appeared dead to the world again. Had Sey been imagining it? Probably. An illusion made out of Seyton’s desperation to wake up his brother. And then he moved again, acting in what Sey assumed were feeble attempts to push the blankets covering him away. That couldn’t have been Sey’s imagination… the nurse was instantly alert, sitting up straight in his chair and more awake than he had been in five sleepless days. "w-where's m-my . . s-shirt" Seyton could have laughed from joy. In fact, he might have and he just didn’t realize it. He was out of his chair in an instant, ignoring the tingles of sleepiness in his legs (he’d been sitting for a few good hours in a row) as he leaned over his brother’s bed, careful not to disturb the IV tubes, and collected his little brother in a tight hug. "S-sey? n-now c-can i h-have a d-drink?” Sey was incredibly reluctant to pull himself away, but he somehow did, smiling for the first time in what seemed like years. “Y-yeah. Sure. Of course.” He picked up a cup from the bedside table, pointing his wand at it and muttering ”Aguamenti,” under his breath, making a snapping motion with his wand to shut off the steam of water that erupted from the tip when the cup was full. As he had when they’d first arrived at the hospital wing after Fenrir’s attack, he eased his hand behind his brother’s head to lift it up and hold the cup to his lips. ”Don’t you ever scare me like that again.”(Outfit) TEMPLATE BY VIKA OF CAUTION.

When he heard his brother aughed Jasper was bit puzzled. What about this whole thing was funny? It was hard enought thinking where his shirt was than figuring out why his brother was aughing. He decided not to dwell on it, he would ask later when his head cleared. His eyes moved to Sey, his brown eyes catching sight of a tube running down from a bag into the needle sticking into his arm. His eyes widened slightly but before he could do anything about it his brother had picked him up in a hug, though his body ached as he was moved, he couldnt help hugging his older brother back, tight. He had a feeling that this had been a close call, to what had happened, it seemed like it. He didnt want to let his older brother go, but he really did need the drink, his throat was so dry it was burning.
When Seyton pulled back fro mthe hug to get the drink Jasper eased himself back down onto the pillows weakly, his head sagging back against the fabric and he shut his eyes for a few seconds. He had no idea how long his eyes had been shut for but all of a sudden he felt Seyton's hand under his head, and he groaned slightly as his head was lifted off the pillow, a wave of sleepiness had come over him the second his head had hit the pillow. But the water that came after, was quite literally the best thing Jasper had ever tasted. He felt it hit his lips, and then his mouth and the next thign he knew he was trying to gulp the cool water, that was dulling the burn in his throat. He coughed slightly at the water though, for as much as it was helping, his stomach wasnt liking it much either.
His eyes moved to his brother and he heard the words roll of seyton's tounge and he shook his head. "s-sorry . . d-didnt mean to . . i'll t-try not to f-fall into a c-coma again" He figrued thats what it wasn, it was probably the only thing that would make Seyton stay with him, and by the looks of his older brother thats exactly when he had done. He hadnt shaven, or slept and the bags under his eyes were so dark Jasper could honstely say he looked like he should be six feet uhnder and roasting his feet against the devil's fire pit. Though he doubted that Seyton would ever go that direction, if or whatever happened when one finally met their maker. It was kinda scary how close Jasper had come to meeting his, something he didnt wanna find out for a long time.
he shifted slightly, going to move his hand to scratch his shoulder, which he assumed was itching from not moving, or a wound that had been there, he didnt care, all he knew was it was itching and it was annoying him, and he'd never be able to fall back to sleep with it, and right now apart from drink, was all he wanted to do. He shifted his hand, forgetting it was attached to an plastic tube with a needle shoved in his wrist and he felt a sharp sting and he winced, a noise of pain escaing his lip as he looked at his hand before eyes widening at the site slightly, the blood that was running from the hole, was now running down Jasper's arm and staining the bedsheet. Blood, not something Jasper was good with. He swallowed as the blood rused from his face again, and his stomach churned at the site of the crimson and he turned his head slightly, taking a feew deep breathes and he groaned. "Ow . . "
