Neville was pacing in front of the Headmaster’s desk while Kingsley stood behind it, seeming to be looking at some papers on his desk. There had been another attack on a student, another one of his students. Young Aubrey McNeal the peppy Gryffindor prefect had been attacked and luckily his own son had managed to find Aubrey soon enough so that she didn’t have to spend too long in the hospital wing. And now apparently the two of them were dating, they had even gone to the Yule Ball together and Frank seemed happier than ever. He was quite glad that Frank was much happier than he had been; he just wished students would quit getting attacked.
“Perhaps we should call in some Aurors, surely they could figure out this mess… I know we don’t want to scare the students… but we could pretend they are here for the defense against the dark arts class…
” Neville had suggested once he had finished pacing the floor and turned to look up at Kingsley, a longtime friend. Sure Kingsley was much older than him, but the two of them had known each other since Neville was a sixth year. He knew that bringing in the aurors could cause for alarm for not only the student, but the parents as well. But it seemed that it wasn’t like they had much of a choice. And then, he heard footsteps coming up to the Headmaster’s office; who would be coming up to interrupt their meeting? He wasn’t sure, but he had a feeling they weren’t coming with great news. Kingsley was indeed filing papers behind his desk, but he was very troubled by these attacks. There had been rumors about a certain chamber being brought into existence, but as far as Kingsley knew it no longer existed anymore. Although, he didn't even know it existed at this moment, but the only one who he could really bring in right now would be the infamous wizard himself, Harry Potter. Kingsley really didn't want to trouble Harry with any of this mess, but he did have a few aurors that could indeed look into these attacks. One of them being very reliable seeing as his son was an auror too, but not many knew about Shacklebolt's kids since that was rather hush hush in case someone tried manipulating his kids for money.
Something was going on in Kingsley's head at that very moment as Neville was speaking, but soon he had to shuffle the papers in order to make sure they wouldn't get in his way. Finally addressing Neville for a moment, but as he was a bout to speak, he stopped himself from saying anything. Obviously someone had some good news, Kingsley could only hope, especially since this was all giving him a rather nasty headache. First, the attacks, and now this unexpected intrusion to his office. It wasn't every day they would get the password correct, but Kingsley almost rather change the password so that they wouldn't be able to come to him when he wasn't busy getting all the task work done.
"There are a few aurors I could call in, but most of them are busy...I'm sure my son would be able to look into this mess as well, surely you've heard of him...now I wonder who that could be," he asked calmly, gesturing towards the footsteps approaching them.

Lucy spun on her heal to see professor Swanpoel approaching. Stammering, she wasn't sure how to explain that she hadn't done this, that she wasn't the one who had hurt this student. Sure, she was rollin' with Olivia's gang right now, but she hadn't done anything! Her eyes brimmed with tears and she stood on the spot, watching the professor lift up a frozen and petrified Fred to take him to the hospital wing. Putting her wand away, she let her tears free fall onto her cheeks and spun on her heal, heading obediently to the Headmaster's office.
Her heart was thudding loudly in her chest. Her heartbeat was racing, her blood pounding through her veins. Sobbing outloud, not caring who heard, Lucy knew she was in trouble. She was going to get expelled for something she didn't do. She remembered the last time that a student was petrified. It was back in Voldemort's day. That student had been expelled. Lucy didn't want to go back to Romania and live with her horrid family. She wanted to stay here, with her.... well she didn't have any friends. She did have Dunstable though... DUNSTABLE!
She stopped in her tracks, thinking. What would Dunstable think? What would he say about her? Would he believe her? Would she even get to see him again? She cupped her elbows and shivered, strangely cold. Hiccuping, Lucy continued shakily on her way to the Headmaster's office. Mumbling the password through a flood of tears, Lucy climbed into the large eagle and waited for it to ascend the stairs. The seconds ticked by, feeling like hours. Closing her eyes she tried to concentrate on Dunstable's image, so that she would calm down just a bit.
As the eagle turned one last time to face the office, she saw Professor Longbottom and Headmaster Kingsley looking her way. She took a step inside the office, her face wet and uncomely, her makeup running down her face. Huffing and snotting, Lucy tried to take a few more steps but collapsed to her knees, her palms skidding across the ground to catch her fall. Ignoring the pain of them scraping against the cobblestones, she looked up to face the elders, her warm honey brown eyes flashing gold with pain. "I didn't do it," she whispered.

And then shortly after a young blond girl had entered the Headmaster’s office, now what was the young Sanguini girl doing up here? “I didn’t do it…” he noticed that the girl was crying, did something happen? Was there another attack? He wasn’t quite sure what was going on, but he was sure that soon enough he would have an answer.
“You didn’t do what Lucy?” he question the girl lightly, he hadn’t seen a girl like this cry in a while something terrible must have happened. And the answer to his question seemed to come before the young Slytherin girl could even answer as an owl swooped in dropping a piece of parchment into his hands.
He unrolled it, his eyes opening in shock as he read the words ‘student petrified. Fred Weasley. Lucy Sanguni found on scene’. A student was petrified, but that hadn’t happened since his second year at Hogwarts, and how? The Basilisk back then had been killed his good friend Harry Potter. “Tell me exactly what happened Lucy,” he said softly as he looked up from the note in his hand to the young crying girl that was standing before him. Perhaps they should call in Harry Potter and a few aurors…

Kingsley, just as Albus would, appeared calm at this moment of dire distress as he looked at the distraught girl with a feign attempt at sincerity. Soon he motioned to a chair to gesture for Lucy to sit down and he only nodded to Neville. Definitely needing some professional help on this matter was well worth it, but Kingsley had been the one to appoint Harry his position in the auror department, ironically enough. Back when he had been minister until that job was taken after he 'retired' so to speak to be headmaster. None of that mattered right now, but he had to keep in mind who he was talking to at the moment and who else was within the room at the same time as him.
Watching Lucy's reaction made him raise an eyebrow at the fact she knew what happened, but he wasn't going to point fingers just yet. Letting her explain herself would be the first step, however, he was curious why she hadn't been attacked too. Was there something going on here that he didn't understand, but he would connect the dots later. Someone was trying to get a point across, and he doubted this sobbing mess of a girl would even really be able to comprehend the situation she had gotten herself into. Trying to come towards the headmaster with a plea such as this was definitely one that he couldn't ignore.
Eagerly summing up his papers in a little pile and set them aside as he looked at Lucy with a concerned, sympathetic look that said he believed her, or did he believe her? That was the one problem with many of Kingsley's looks, and the fact the guy was so hard to read. "Please, Lucy, do tell us what happened, and we'll be sure to take care of this for you," he said to her calmly wondering if whoever set this up was trying to target Lucy next. No, that couldn't be the case, but he'd have to send someone to watch Lucy for a while in case she was going to be the next target.

Lucy picked herself up off the ground with little strength and sat in the offered chair, her makeup running down her face from all her tears. The princess of perfect was in ruins. Sniffing and wiping the back of her hand across her face to try and pick up excess tears, she looked up at the professors. What was she to say? What could she say? She was caught red handed at the scene of a crime that she didn't commit. She was caught by a Professor who had nothing better to do than to send her immediately to the Headmaster, without a question of what happened. As she saw it, nobody was going to believe the vampire. Who would? Who would even trust one?
So now she had the duty of telling her story. Would she include Chun in it? Would she include how she was going to a secret meeting with another Slytherin? No, no she wouldn't do that. It wasn't important anyways. She did feel a slight bit of empathy for the student who was attacked though. She felt like if she'd been a few minutes earlier, maybe she could have saved him. Or maybe it would have been her.... Lucy swallowed tightly and look at Professor Longbottom, who seemed to be the nicer of the two. Headmaster Shacklebolt was a bit intimidating.
"Well Professor.... I was w-walking down the hallway w-when I saw him l-laying on the ground. He wasn't m-moving. His eyes were wide o-open. I shot up sparks and they went down the halls. Then a Professor came, thought I attacked him, and sent me here." Her stuttering became less noticeable during this speech and eventually disappeared. She wasn't as shaken up now, but she still felt colder than usual, and wrapped her thin arms around herself, trying to conserve what little body heat she had.

Then a Professor came, thought I attacked him, and sent me here.” Neville listened carefully to what Lucy had to say. Laying on the ground with his eyes wide open, why did that scene sound all too familiar? All he knew was that he didn’t like the sound of it, not one bit. “Who was laying on the ground Lucy? A student? A staff member?” none of the professor had contacted him just yet, so he didn’t know a whole lot about the situation. But if it was, what it sounded like. It just couldn’t be possible! He knew that Harry had defeated the Baslisk in their second year! It had to be something else, someone on the grounds practicing Strong Dark Magic, something that probably only and adult could do. This wasn’t good, not after the other attacks that they’ve had on students, he knew that the parents would be extremely terrified if they knew of this attack. And he thought that ever since the second wizarding war had finished, everything would be safe.

Kingsley was just looking at Lucy as she explained what was going on, but did they really have time to be messing around like this with whoever had done it on the loose? Lucy had been at this event, but who knows if she was at the previous one earlier. No one had mentioned who had attacked Hugo, but he had a sneaky suspicion that no one hear would do such a thing. Thoughts wandering again, but he listened to her as he seemed concerned now. Starting to ponder certain scenarios of what could have transpired, but he should have been able to dive into her mind right away to tell what was going on. After all, he was the master of altering memories to keep anyone finding out the information needed to actually out the culprit.
It seemed too tedious since she hadn't actually seen her attacker, but he could perhaps alter her memory so that no one would be able to look inside it. Nah, that wouldn't work, it could have been easily pried from her mind, however, he didn't know what to do for the poor girl. Looking into this matter would require so much more evidence, and he thought bringing in the aurors was definitely a good idea. Probably getting his son along with Harry Potter and the others. Mainly the ones that were of importance and would try to get to the bottom of things right away. "Don't worry, we'll find who did this and get the culprits, I think we may have to bring in the aurors," he said calmly as he leaned back in his chair folding his fingers across each other as he raised an eyebrow.
Hearing something about someone being on the floor, he decided to ask the strangest question, but Neville beat him to it, so he would wait to hear what Lucy had to say. "Yes, if you remember anything, even the vaguest detail, please tell us, this information is very vital to us," he added.

Lucy finally stopped crying and wiped the back of her hand on her face, trying to tidy up her makeup. Just because she was being seen as the culprit didn't mean that she had to look like a dirty person. Cleaning herself up as best as she could she turned back to the professors. Headmaster was talking about bringing the Aurors in and she shrank back in her chair. She didn't want the Aurors there. She knew how they treated suspects. It wasn't always pretty, or so her father had told her. He'd told her that she should just stay away from the Aurors, because they hated anything to do with Vampires or Werewolves or even Fairies and the like. So obviously the mere mention of them made her tremble. But upon being asked what had happened, she gulped and tried to tell her story without a shaking voice.
"W-well. I was just walking along, minding my own business, when all of a sudden I slipped in some slime. It was the leftovers from one of those portable swamp things that the pranksters enjoy using. Nasty things in my opinion." Shaking her head she continued. "That's when I came around the corner and saw the kid on the ground. He was frozen where he fell, his body still caught in motion. It was scarey. There was nobody else around and I couldn't think of anything to do, so I sent up sparks with my wand to get a professor. That's when she came running down the hall and took the student then blamed me and sent me here."

Neville listened carefully again to Lucy. The story sounded weird, yet parts seemed quite familiar… But it can’t be, there was no possible way. There had to be another explanation. He was sure they could get to the bottom of this before… well before it happened again. “Thank you Lucy, you may go we’ll figure it out from here.” Neville said lightly excusing the young Slytherin Female. He didn’t think it was her, she was probably in the wrong place at the wrong time… But in time hopefully they could figure out what was going on.
“Just be careful with what’s going on around you Miss Sanguini,” he said lightly before looking over at Kingsley. What did he think was going on? He wasn’t sure…

Kingsley definitely wanted to at least make sure the students were saef, and this had been way of finding out. Luckily, he didn't have to do much to wait for her to spill her side of the story, but it seemed a little too odd to him for her to just be there at the scene at the right time. Then again, wrong place at the wrong time did seem like the most viable option right now. Kingsley didn't want to jump to conclusions just yet as he finally as he started to fold up some of the papers on his desk. Starting to finally get a good grasp on this, no matter how trivial it may sound they had to do something or other students might start panicking.
"We'll do what we can, Miss Sanguini, now if you would, Professor Longbottom, could you escort her back to her dungeon, and tell the head of Slytherin to watch out for anyone misbehaving. I will pass this message along to the other teachers until we can figure out what's going on, and the aurors will have to join in on this soon too," he added, and only hoped this was just some phase a mischievous student was going through that would pass over soon. No one had really come to him to claim they had done it, and only Lucy had spoken up, normally the culprit wouldn't go in details about their own deeds if they wanted it hidden. There had been no other news of attacks other than this.
