Olivia knew that it wouldn’t be much longer; it had to be any moment right? She hoped that perhaps today would be the day that her beloved Baslisk would hatch. The young brunette was sitting in front of statue of Slytherin, cross-legged as she looked at the toad that sat upon the chicken egg she had stolen only three months ago. It had been almost three months since they planted that disgusting blood traitor’s toad upon it with a sticking charm. So it had to be soon right? Three months was more than enough time for an egg to hatch.
She glanced at her watch for a moment wondering how much longer until Chun and Jacob show up, surely they wouldn’t leave her sitting alone down here forever. She hoped that Chun would show up quite a bit of time before Jacob, but she had a feeling Jacob would show up first, he was good at spoiling things like that. But she shouldn’t worry about that at the moment, today was talking of their next moves. The Basilisk would be hatching soon and they would need to get it trained in the next month so that they could set it out on muggleborns and blood traitors, or anyone that stood in their way really. She even had a cage not too far from the feet of the Sytherin statue full of mice, a treat for her precious Baslisk once it hatched. She smiled, she wanted to be down here when it did and part of her wanted to just stay down here in general while they waited for the amazing creature to hatch.
She heard footsteps echo off the walls of the chambers, she knew it was either Chun or Jacob on their way over. No one else knew about this place, except perhaps for a couple of the Professors, but they couldn’t get down here. None of them knew parseltounge, and the only other parsletounge in the school was Lucy Sanguini, and she was sure that the professors wouldn’t think to use a student to come down here. Not that she’s given them any reason to go down to the Chamber of Secrets, the Baslisk hadn’t been set on the school yet, but in time it will be and boy will the teachers be fearful that perhaps the famous Harry Potter didn’t kill off the old Baslisk like he did. Who would think that perhaps someone considered creating their own Basilisk. Olivia laughed to herself knowing that this plan would be perfect.

Jacob was doing his usual rounds in the hallway of making sure everyone was staying in line and not wanting to take a swing at his back. Lately, he had been rather bored, and that normally didn't mean anything good. Having to hold back a lot when he felt someone usually trying to trip him but he kept his eyes peeled open for anyone trying to cause trouble around him. The fact he was even traversing the dungeons at such a speed meant that he was being summoned by Olivia and she was indeed within the Chamber of Secrets. Thoughts of what he could say to her easily answered on his own, because he was just rambling in his own mind. It was almost time for them to see if they had actually accomplished their goal while he had been wreaking havoc.
Other than that, his mind was blank, and not much else was on his mind aside from his sister singing at the Yule ball. Oh yes, what else was there? Oh he couldn't remember, but it wasn't really important anyways as he soon walked up towards the chamber. Looking around, the only person he saw was a fifth year Slytherin that perhaps needed to be shown some manners before he even entered the Chamber. Finally just tapping him on the shoulder and gave him a rather scary scowl to scare the young boy off. All he was greeted with was a finger until he had pointed his wand at the young man's face, and a good obliviate blast to the face had him off on his way. It was great having that ability, but he really needed to practice it more. Luckily this was an acquired skill he managed to perfect once his temper cooled down.
Sighing softly, the last thing he needed was anyone else trying to interfere with Olivia's plans, and already that Hugo Weasley prat was trailing him. Mentioning him to Olivia was first and foremost when he got there. Then he thought, but you already know that don't you, speaking directly to her through his mind finally. It was a mere thought, but they had all the power in the world when he was near Olivia, and figured he wouldn't need to talk then. Although, he supposed he shouldn't be rude and hide everything from Chun since she'd be wanting to know what was going on.
Sighing softly for a moment as he waited for the parseltongue to take effect, almost tempted to destroy the door, but he let his patience weigh thin until it finally opened completely. In through the door without a breeze as it shut quietly behind him, and he wondered how it was so quiet when it did that after using his ring until reaching the chamber Olivia was standing in. "Hello, Olivia, before Chun gets here, all I wish to say is I've learned my lesson," was all he said, even though the detention hadn't actually happened, but he was looking forward to getting it over with.

She knew that something was going to happen today. She felt it from the moment she opened her eyes. It was a sort of anxious energy that Chun just couldn't get rid of. Of course, the task was complicated with the cold season. Something in her just felt different with everything dead around her. Hm, well, she did have a certain appreciation for snow. The lack of color in the powdery substance allowed her to easily sidestep the awkward conversations of color-- the beauty in color. Those conversations were always so painful to lie about. The slytherin couldn't say she preferred the snow and cold weather over the normal comfort plants gave her though. She supposed if anything, she could just haul herself up in the greenhouses one day.
The Chinese girl had been still humoring the idea when Olivia had called for her. She could almost kick herself for not doing it for her birthday that year. Of course, it would've taken a bit more finesse than just skipping class, but it was her last year. She would just have to take a date later on the year to spend it in that fashion-- assuming she wouldn't be on the run by then. She imagined the meeting today would be over their little surprise for the rest of the school. She could admit to being more than a little fascinated by how they were going to go about controlling the serpent. Parsletongue in itself was a wonder of a language to listen to, and she imagined training the basilisk will be a process. … It didn't help that she had a certain admiration for the speaker.
The door to the chamber of secrets opening couldn't have come soon enough. Olivia always gave her a way to put that energy to use. She could feel that need for it. Her steps were light but quick as she made her way to the Slytherin statue, where the toad had been placed three months ago. She let a smile cross her face at the thought. Three months seemed to have gone by very quickly. Chun could hardly complain about that. As she neared the paired, she caught the tail end of Jacob's words, raising an eyebrow curiously in the boy's direction. Well, that's good, she supposed. ”Hello Olivia, Jacob,” the Asian greeted, calmer than she felt. She chose not to ask on whatever the fellow slytherin was talking about. ”Good news I imagine?”

“Hello, Olivia, before Chun gets here, all I wish to say is I've learned my lesson,” Olivia just nodded lightly, she really didn’t want to think about the mistakes he had made at the moment. Her attention was on the egg the blood traitor’s toad sat upon. She noticed lately that it had been moving slightly, she knew that it wouldn’t be much longer until it was ready to hatch. It just had to be today right? Then it moved again, a bit more than the last time just as Chun had entered the room as well and Olivia’s grew quite a wide smile.
“Hello Olivia, Jacob,” Olivia loved to hear Chun’s voice, it only seemed to make things a bit more brighter as the three of them stood around the egg. Though they still needed to keep their relationship a secret, at least for now they needed to, perhaps one day they would reveal their secret relationship. “Good news I imagine?” and of course Olivia smiled once again. “Indeed very good news, I’m sure our little pet well hatch today,
” she said quite happily as she turned around to face both Jacob and Chun. “ Though I’d keep your eyes closed, the Basilisk’s stare is still deadly even as a new born,” she said softly as she closed her eyes hoping the other two would do the same. “ Also, one of you will need to take care of the rooster’s on the grounds, we can’t have our little pet die because one of them crowed, she said lightly in hope that one of them would arise to the task, she didn’t want to be the one to kill the roosters and she just hoped that whoever chose to would do it behind the scenes where no one will know who it was that killed the roosters. Jacob was listening to the plan as Olivia spoke as he looked at the egg itself and seemed rather ordinary to him. Yes, that would be a bummer if the egg hatched and then the basilisk died ruining meticulous amounts of planning. Surely someone would find a rooster at some point and just use that to kill it again. Funny how that was the irony of what you needed to hatch it was the male of version of the hen to kill it. Roosters were hard to find, but Jacob was certain he could pull this one off. Obviously he had a plan already put in place to finish those birds off. Looking at Chun, he knew she was more eager than he was, but he decided to prove his loyalty once more by volunteering himself on the spot. "If I may interject, I may have a few ideas to get rid of the rooster that will make it look like an accident. Perhaps some wild animal attack? That would be reasonable I would think, but I promise to not make this messy at all," he said to her.
Glad to please and eager to try getting back on her better half would do him good. Somehow he almost knew he'd jump to that conclusion, and wondered if there was another task he should perform on the side. No, he had drawn enough attention to himself, and this little diversion of theirs would keep people from suspecting anything. Jacob could make it so that they turned their attention to the Forbidden forest instead. Winding up there was surely better than winding up in the death throes of a basilisk in his eyes. Roosters, huh, that would definitely be an easy task. All he really had to do was silence them from making any noise as he finished the job. Then take them somewhere where he could put the bodies in the forest to let the animals devour them. The trail of blood would be easy to clean up too, as he started to rummage through a possible list of other ideas too.
Olivia surely did have a good influence on him, "Mistress," he said, quite proudly as if she were the queen of the school. In his eyes she was, and speaking of his eyes, his were closed.

Oh, right, the petrification thing would be problematic if anyone got caught in its sights. She had wondered how they were going to go about controlling that sort of thing, but she trusted that Olivia had some sort of plan involved. Really, that was the best she could do under the circumstances. Chun didn't have the means to control the Basilisk, much less a way to kill it. Though, she supposed it was a little more harmless as a hatchling; er, beyond the petrification. She wasn't sure they had the means to reverse it if need be at this moment. At the very least, the Asian didn't. If someone had asked her honestly about it, the slytherin would be a bit intimidated at the risk, but she trusted her dark lady and herself to stay out of harm's way.
She frowned at Jacob's jump to killing the roosters. If he wanted to get his hands dirty killing some disgusting roosters, Chun wasn't inclined to stop him. Hunting roosters throughout the large expanse of Hogwarts wasn't something the slytherin would've enjoyed doing. Though she loved birds, roosters were just nasty, mean animals. The nicks that would've certainly come out of it was something she would be happy to dump on Jacob. ”Sounds like you've got a good idea on what to do,” Chun mused, implying that she was happy to allow Jacob to have the position, ”I would be surprised if there were enough roosters to warrant suspicion if we killed them all, but it doesn't hurt to be too careful.” Just as long as she didn't have to deal with it.
By all means, she would do it if Olivia were to order it, but Chun wasn't going to be eager about it. Still, she wouldn't mind getting some work done. ”Though, I wouldn't mind getting some work in if Jacob can handle the roosters himself,” she smiled toward Olivia, ”I'm sure you have much planned, Olivia.” She wouldn't want to see useless after all. Though she maintained a personal relationship with the other woman, Chun wanted to keep competency in business as well.
With a shrug, she closed her eyes, waiting for the basilisk to be hatched.

“ If I may interject, I may have a few ideas to get rid of the rooster that will make it look like an accident. Perhaps some wild animal attack? That would be reasonable I would think, but I promise to not make this messy at all,” Olivia had a feeling that Jacob would instantly take up on the task, after all he would want to make up for what he had done in the past. Plus, Olivia would rather have him do the dirty work than for Chun too. She rather just take Chun away to somewhere more quiet for the two of them. But, that would have to wait until later, first the egg needed to hatch.
“Sounds like you've got a good idea on what to do I would be surprised if there were enough roosters to warrant suspicion if we killed them all, but it doesn't hurt to be too careful.” Olivia nodded in agreement with Chun, indeed it never did hurt to be too careful, at least when it came to this plan. She knew that the Chamber of Secrets had been open twice before, so the professors knew what it was all about. But as far as they know, the last baslisk was dead, which it was. But what they didn’t know was that a new one was hatching just below them. Oh it was just too perfect for they wouldn’t even know what hit them.
“ Though, I wouldn't mind getting some work in if Jacob can handle the roosters himself, I'm sure you have much planned, Olivia.” She smiled again, she knew that she could leave it to Chun to want to help out even more. And Chun was right, there was so many plans forming in her head and she already had the perfect plan. “Ah yes, I have the perfect task for you Chun, my dear. For each of the attacks you’ll need to make sure that Lucy Sanguini happens to be at each scene. Whether it’s talking to the student beforehand and someone notices, or have it where she comes across the student. Or shows up moments after the student has been found. Either way, she needs to be placed at the scene somehow,” she said lightly just as the egg started to shake some more and some cracks started to form. “It’s hatching,” she said excitedly as she closed her eyes and heard the final cracks of the eggs before a low his emerged.
“Oh dear one, don’t be scared,” she spoke softly in parsletounge as she got down on her knees, opening up the cage of rats that happened to be there. “Here have this rat to eat and if you want you can eat that horrid toad as well” she hissed some more as the baslisk came up to her, taking the rat out of her hand and it chewed on it quite quickly, before it sounded as if it were going after the croaking toad.

So Jacob was still closing his eyes, and made sure they were shut tight with some form of stitching on his eye lids in a way. Then he started to keep his mind reeling on what on Earth they could be waiting for, but he was too eager to see the basilisk while it was turned away from him. Jacob was wondering how fast it grows in general, but it took the last one a while in his mind he could see this causing some problems. Oh well, leave it up to his imagination, and after hearing Chun's orders almost wished he hadn't signed himself up for this. Although, he would always do as his dark lady commanded, and keep his oath to her by being the best knight that he could be. In fact, if he could he would have just kept this to himself as much as he could, even as mind soon went blank again.
It was odd, it was as if he wasn't really there at the same time, but he could just linger all he wanted in the shadows as he heard the egg cracking. Imagining within his mind, and then let out a slight chuckle if the basilisk accidentally went out of the chamber on it's own to seek food. That notion would have gotten him killed and was glad that one of them could at least speak Parseltongue. Wondering if that skill was even obtainable from training, but Jacob wasn't that curious about it. After all, he had learned something much more valuable on his own time when he had been given the freedom to.
Smirking at Chun, or where he thought he heard her standing, merely thought he had the upper hand in pleasing their mistress. Sure, he didn't know about the secret love affair, but that meant it would be easier for him to hit on Olivia when the time came when she wasn't busy looking so darn sexy with whatever outfit she had on. Jacob had made sure to catch a glimpse of her first, and then finally eagerly waited when he could actually open his eyes. "How fast does a basilisk grow?" he asked calmly, knowing that it really didn't matter since even a baby could easily cast a stone stare to anyone.

She raised an eyebrow at the prospect of being responsible for setting up Sanguini. It was something that she hadn't been entirely used to, manipulating people over the long-term like that. Olivia seemed to have good faith in her managing it though, which she wouldn't dare want to disappoint her dark lady on. It just took a little extra thinking to keep Sanguini from being too suspicious. Of course, after a while of her continually getting caught with dealing with the fallout on the basilisk, Sanguini was going to be wary of her. Hopefully, only Chun would be under Sanguini's radar. She didn't care about gaining another enemy, even if she honestly didn't give a damn about the fellow Slytherin. If Olivia need a manipulator, she'd be the best damn one she needed. She would just need a little practice first, she thought. Logic was easy to understand, but the psychology of people wasn't something she normally messed with.
"I'll take care of it," Chun responded with an easy smile, eyes still closed. "I'll make sure Sanguini stays the perfect little pawn." In theory anyway. She would have to start considering options once they were done here. It would have to be a way that would convince the girl of it being harmless. The slytherin knew that they were on iffy terms at best, so anything that would be too forward might be considered suspicious. That was left for later though, when she wasn't awaiting for their new pet, and considering prospects on getting her and Olivia alone for a bit. Speaking of, she heard the first cracks of the egg as it began to hatch, relieved that they finally had their greatest weapon at their disposal.
Chun listened as Olivia spoke to the basilisk, finding something oddly harmonious in the speech. She loved listening to it, and easily respected anyone that had the natural talent to speak parsletongue. It was pretty easy to admire it when it came to her girlfriend though, obviously. Her smile began to get just a little wider with that. It was then she heard Jacob bring up a point that she had been curious about herself. While the basilisk was still dangerous with its gaze, she knew very little on their lifecycle and development really. A little hatchling wasn't nearly as intimidating as the gigantic serpents often talked about in regards to Voldemort's reign. She wondered if the skin was just as formidable as a baby as it would in adult size. Hm. She probably needed to research some.
