I feel like I haven't seen you at all in school. Busy, I suppose. Anyways, hope your holidays are going good. Make time for me next semester, k? Big brothers need time too derek. ooc- I figure we base this in winter break, and then we can transition to a real thread after this.

dear derek,
that seems awfully... random, but i'm never one to turn down a compliment however unexpected it is, so... thanks? i'm all right. been spending a lot of time with my grandmother baking, or discussing stuff with my grandfather. to be honest, i can't wait to go back to school. things are much more relaxed there, and i'm actually able to acknowledge that i have siblings. i'm lucky that i got to your letter first, because if my grandfather had seen it and noticed who it was from it might have just been burned. no matter, though, because i did get it, obviously. of course i'll make time for you! sorry about this last semester, i guess i've been spending more time with jasper and seyton than anyone else really, and with school work and stuff it doesn't leave much time for other things, but i'll make sure to fit time for you into my 'busy' schedule. show the ravenclaw some love, right? how have your holidays been? actually, how has your year been in general? anything particularly interesting happen? your little sister, echo

ECHO,
don't look too much into it. it was more like, I was thinking about how much sluts are in our school and glad you're not like them. cause if you were, well, all your boyfriends would be destroyed by all five of your brothers, probably. We'd do it with the other two girls, but it's a little too late for them, if you know what I mean.
That's good, I guess? Aha. I'm not the bad guy, it's the other Greybacks promise. Jasper and Seyton can't teach you the tricks like I can. There's a reason why they were Gryffindors, brave and loyal, but slightly lacking in the wits department. I can help you sweet-talk your way through anything, and I really mean anything.
Well, just the usual. You know, NEWTS, doing things our mothers probably wouldn't be too proud of. The normal, flirting with girls that certain fourth years have their eye on. But that's just a little project to see how pissed off Adrian can get, you know. The usual stuff. But enough about me, how've you been? Good? Hoping you're just studying and you know, learning how to be an industrious witch in society. We need at least one in our family.
derek.

dear derek,
ah, well then, thanks. you definitely don't have to worry about me starting to jump into the bed with the first guy i see any time soon. any time at all, actually. i have no plans to become the type of girl i do believe you enjoy. boyfriends aren't in my foreseeable future, either. you'll have to try to satisfy yourself with making fun of jasper's girlfriend if you want to have some sort of 'drama' with a sibling's relationship. though, ya know, that wouldn't be preferable either. she's an awesome girl. 'it's the other greybacks'? please tell me that wasn't a jab against them, derek. you know as well as everyone else that i don't stand for all of the petty little drama you guys seem to thrive off of. and i don't need your help to sweet talk myself through things. innocent cuteness goes a hell of a long way when you use it right. don't piss him off too much, derek. i mean, i know it's what brothers do and all, but really... i don't understand your need to do such annoying things to each other. mind you, i've only been talking to him for a few months, but i hardly think dad'd approve of his two favourite sons bickering over a girl. school's going well. still have no clue what path i want to follow in the future, but i'm only in the fourth year. i have years to figure out that sort of stuff. until then i'd rather enjoy life than stress myself out with the future. your little sister, echo

ECHO,
That’s good because although girls that I’m into are fun, they definetly aren’t girlfriend material. Well, I’m not boyfriend material but still, you know what I mean. I can do that, could you imagine a huge greyback family get together? I think I’d just fake sick. All I can foresee is huge fights. Who is his girlfriend? He has a girlfriend? Boy, do I feel out of the loop.
Relaaaax, it was a tiny jab promise. I have no problems with them, but for all purposes, technically they are the ‘other greybacks’ I mean, well. You know what I mean. We don’t need to get into the heretics of that fight. But that’s good, but eventually your innocent cuteness will go away. You won’t be that young cute girl forever, trust me.
Probably not, but it’s just so much fun. He’s such an arrogant prick, that doing little things to piss the twat off is the best. I mean, you have to admit his head is so far up dad’s ass that he can probably taste what the old bloke had for lunch.
Enjoy it while you can c: I’m out soon and I have no idea what I’m going to do. Maybe I’ll just start dwindling in the black market and make bank, retire early and live in a nice bungalow in the carribean. How does that sound?
derek.

dear derek,
a family reunion? it's kind of amusing to imagine, thinking if it were possible for everyone to get along, but honestly i think we'd be planning a funeral for someone soon after. something like that has no promise of ending up even remotely well... specially not with dad and sey. er... forget i said anything about her... it wasn't smart. i'm not supposed to say anything, or things'll get ugly. seriously, forget i mentioned her. it's jasper's story to tell when, and if, he ever decides to. it'll just cause trouble if i tell you about her. a 'tiny' jab. yeah, i still hate it. can i ever have a conversation with one of you guys without the 'others' being mentioned? it's really tiresome. same arguments no matter who i'm talking to. and i know i won't be cute and innocent forever. i'm looking forward to these days being over. it's annoying not being taken seriously because you're young, especially when you're more mature than some older siblings that i could mention. ...lovely mental image. whatever you think of him, he's close to dad, so unless you want to piss him off, too, i'd advise you shut your trap and back off from adri's girl. it just makes you look like a douchebag. set your sights on someone else for your entertainment. lovely. i'll make sure to visit you in azkaban if i can fit the time into my schedule. glad to see you set your sights high. your little sister, echo

ECHO,
right? i don't know. we'll see, everything is still so up in the air for anything to be concrete and decided. fate is still deciding how it wants to plan the future of the greyback clan, especially with how tense and strained all of our relationships are. i'm actually planning to talk to seyton soon, just as a, figuring out the dynamics of our family.
oh? who are you more mature then? i'm curious. I can only think of adrian but you're younger then him, right? gosh echo, so mean. i thought we had a nice relationship, did someone wake up on the wrong side of the bed? you just seem so bitter. and since when have i ever thought much of myself? we all have our places in the world, echo.
meet me there, wing b room 24. derek.
