I won't blame you if you don't; lord knows that when I was a student at Hogwarts I had no immediate desire to help those nearly a decade older than me, but I feel I need to try anyways. I'm not sure if you're familiar with my brother- well, half-brother, Jasper? He's in Gryffindor as well, a year younger than you, and until recently only had half the traits that plague you and I. On the last full moon things were complicated a lot... he was bitten, and I'm worried on how he's going to cope. I don't know if you know him well, or at all, and I know you aren't open of your condition, and I'm not asking you to tell him of it, but if you could... I don't know, keep an eye on him? From afar, if you wish. I'm close with him, but I don't know if he'd come to me if he's really troubled anymore, and I can't see him as often as I'd like because of the age difference between us. You're in his house, and around his age, so you'd likely see him in the commons area a lot, right? If you see him acting weird, could you just tell me? Drop me a letter or something? I don't really know Jasper and I am not really the type to watch over someone I do not know. You really have given me little reason to even want to help you. However, I can not bring myself to deny anyone help. Especially when I was once in a similar situation as said person. For what little it is worth I will help keep an eye on Jasper.
