So how is someone as poor as Marlon at Hogwarts? Well, he has a mysterious benefactor! This person has been paying for his schooling and stuff since he first went into Hogwarts. This person can be doing this for any number of reasons. One idea that I have (but you don't have to go with) is that they somehow know about how he's a Seer and they've apparently known since he was a young'un. They were planning on holding him in huge debt and then making him work for them to pay off the debt (that he may or may not eventually finish paying). By work, I mean using him to See things for them (as if he could control what he Sees).

Our dear Marlon here comes from a long line of Squibs. Currently, he doesn't know about his true ancestry. He's just all sorts of ignorant and thinks that he's somehow a special little Muggleborn in a not-so-Muggleborn-happy place. I was hoping to shake him from this erroneous belief at some time... Now, the Squibs have to get their wizarding blood from somewhere... Anybody interested? Anybody with even an once of wizarding blood will do =)
