First of all, welcome to Muggle Studies. This course is an elective available to third years and up. Before the second wizarding war this subject was taught on the first floor and has recently been relocated to the fifth floor. For those asking what is muggle studies and why should you take it, well that's simple. Muggle Studies is a course in the history, culture, and psychology of non-magical people. The class attempts to help young witches and wizards understand the difference between the way muggles think and the way wizards think. This class is a prerequisite for those who wish to get jobs in Muggle relations. Now by no means is this class an easy or as people tend to call it 'soft option'. Students must acquire at least an E in their OWLs if they wish to continue onto the NEWTs level, only on rare occasions will anyone with an A be allowed, even then they will have agreed to do extra study time and are 110% committed to this class.

Every house is included in each class thread; it would take too long for individual and double house threads. Anyways:
OWLs - third to fifth years
NEWTs - sixth and seventh years
Now for the assignments. These assignments aren’t like normal essays that other classes hand out, instead we are doing something very muggle like. In each class there will be pop quiz about the subject learnt the lesson before, so you better pay attention to what is taught. These quizzes will appear randomly throughout the classes, so be prepared.
