It's very simple really, Demetrius is on the look for his best friend, who just happens to be Tristen. These two guys are the kind of guys who are just at every party, hang out in the common room and are very popular with the ladies at Hogwarts. Demetrius and Tristen are very silly when they're together, but still two people who will whoop your butt if you mess with them. They're like the jocks of Hogwarts, except not on the Quidditch team. Though, they are former players who quit the team the previous year. They've known each other waaaay before school and being put in rival houses couldn't even separate them.
