Connor was happily in the back of his shop working on his newest created broom that he was adding magic to in hope that perhaps this broom would be the one to start off his line. And lately he had been inspired more to get it done, and why is that you ask? Because Connor just proposed to his girlfriend Felicity Jones and she accepted. So of course Connor would have an extra skip in his step and be working much faster than usual. And despite the fact that he now had a
[/s]girlfriend[/s], I mean fiancé, he was still in his shop most of the time and that was because of the fact that Felicity worked quite a bit for her ministry job and of course she helped out at the Magical Menagerie. Connor softly ran his hand over the broomstick handle of his current project. So smooth yet firm and strong, perfect just how a broomstick should be. And of course the bristles of the broom were in perfect shape as well, but then again the broom hadn’t even been flown once, but that was because the broom wasn’t quite ready yet. Connor brought his willow wand up to the broom before softly muttering a few spells as he swished and flick his broom. The normal spells that he always added and knew worked perfectly well. But soon he would have to add a bit more, and some of them he’ll add a couple of times to strengthen the spell. He hoped that this broom would finally turn out the way he wanted it to be so that he could start his broom line. Beside Connor was a roll of parchment floating in the air with a quill quite speedily taking notes of the spells he would putting upon the broom. Once in a while he stop between spells jus to polish the broom a bit so that it would hold the spell a bit more. It was many of the techniques he had learned a few years back when he was working at an actual broom factory. Many things he had learned there he would use on each of his brooms that he worked on. Connor felt as if nothing could break his wonderful mood he had today. The door was cracked open so that he could hear the hustle and bustle of the Christmas shoppers while his employee worked. It was during the midday, where they weren’t as busy as when the evening came and everyone was off of work. But he had the door cracked in case Roger and Kayla needed his help, which he hoped he didn’t. At least in the evening there would be three of them working and he wouldn’t need to stick around to help, but perhaps he would stay and work on his broom some more, unless something else came up. teddy walked out of the sweet shop with the large box of bertie bots, every flavor beans in his hand. he had felt like something sweet after getting off an incredibly boring day at work, sitting behind a desk all day filling out paperwork for assignments he had done the weeks before, well it wasn't exactly the highlight of his week. he knew the stuff had to be done, and he had let himself get behind the ridiculous stuff, that he was chained to his desk for the rest of the week, filling out parchments, and explaining what had happened, and to be honest it was driving him insane. but he wasn't going to let it get to him, he loved his job, he just hated this part of it, it was a con, in a mass of pro's. or at least thats how he saw it anyway.
grabbing a few of the beans out of the box he chucked them into his mouth, not even bothering to see what flavor they were, he swallowed them quick and walked through the crowded streets of the busy little place. after work, people always seemed to fill this place when it was knock off time, after all, it's pretty much the only time they could get off. which reminded him, he hadn't done a single scrap of christmas shopping yet, for any of his family and friends this year, if he didn't hurry up and even think about doing it, he wasn't going to have anything to hand them, which he hated doing, it was bad he knew, but he couldn't help it, christmas, his favorite holiday, mostly because of the food. but he couldn't help it, he was male, he knew he ate a bit, but his job kept him pretty fit.
he looked up and a grin spread across his face slightly, somehow his walk had taken him to his best friends shop, after all, it had been a while since he'd seen connor, work had been piling up, sorting out his house, pretty much everything under the sun, but he figured today was just as good as any to see his friend. he walked over to the shop, pushing the door open and he heard the bell ding and he grinned slightly, having not heard that noise in a while and he looked around, not seeing anyone in the front of the shop, he moved to the back of the shop, knowing full well where connor would be, hiding out in the back of the shop working on one of his brooms. teddy moved to the back of the shop, moving past countless brooms and quidditch supplies, teddy hadn't played quidditch, since last christmas.
pushing open the door that was open at the back of the shop teddy leaned in the doorway of the room and took e few more beans out of the box, putting him in his mouth he grinned at connor. "you and the broom need to get a room?" he said jokingly, knowing connor would know he was joking. chewing on the lollie's in his mouth he swallowed them, pulling a face as he tasted a chili flavor bean and he shook his head. "want one?" he said as he held the box toward connor.

Connor was so immersed in working on his broom that he hadn’t even heard someone enter through the door to the back of the shop. He as in the middle of now polishing the handle of the broom when he heard a familiar voice. “you and the broom need to get a room?” Connor looked up and smiled when he saw his best friend, Teddy Lupin, standing not too far away. “Want one?” teddy had asked him as he popped a bean from Bertie Bott’s every flavor beans into his mouth. “Thanks, but no thanks,” he chuckled light having never been one to have good luck when it came to the treat. He always seemed to grab the earwax one or a booger one, and he really didn’t want any of those today.
“Well unless you want to spend some time with the broom,” he joked lightly before he sat the broom down, stood up and wiped his robes up. “How’ve you been? Work treating you alright?” he figured he ask Teddy this before he told him the good news he had as well as ask him to perhaps be a part of the good news by being his best man when him and Fee got married. He was pretty sure Teddy would say yes, unless well works been keeping him too busy for such things. He sure hoped he would be able to as Connor didn’t know who else he could ask to be his best man. He really didn’t want to ask his brother-in-law and he didn’t know how he could handle a magical wedding.
