theresa kelsey chewed her bottom lip as she wandered along the seventh floor corridor alone - yes..theia was alone once more, and she was sadly becoming rather adjusted to it. she hadn't meant to isolate herself in such a way, in fact if anything it just put back all those years of working her way to the top of the pile in school, it just made it that bit more obvious that she was hiding from a certain someone. she didn't now why she continued to hide anymore if it was so obvious that scopius and albus both knew she was hiding - and in that case a lot of people had probably figured it out by now. and yet she continued to evade him, more now than ever after their last meeting - though that was mostly down to hurt.

not hurt over anything he'd said - he hadn't really had a chance to say anything, she'd done a firm job in shoving him away before he could open up and say too much, too much for her to be able to keep pushing him away. she was hurt because of what she'd said.. how she'd been. so cold and harsh, like she was speaking to someone she hated not someone she lov- ... she shut her thoughts off right then and swallowed hard. to think she was going to think that she loved him... surely she couldn't. he was her best friend - her best friend, they'd only kissed twice, hadn't known who it was .. how could she love him?

but yeah.. she was hurt because she knew she'd hurt him. she'd never wanted to hurt him - that was why she'd been trying to stay away from him. but she'd never been so cruel to him like that before, something about albus had always drawn out a better side in her - one without the sarcasm and the sarkiness, the jokingly cold quips her and scop exchanged regulary lacked in her and albus' friendship - their friendship had always been based on kindness, all the good things in her. she sighed and ran a hand through her hair, knowing she should be in the common room or library working, but not wanting to face work or people right now. she just needed an escape for a little while... a chance to walk things off - again...

Classes were still a blur, it turned out that talking to Thersea a week or so ago did not work for him at all. She was still on Albus’s mind every moment of the day, why wouldn’t she listen to him? And why in the hell did she have to keep avoiding him that only made matters worse.

The young Potter boy sighed as he messed up his jet black hair. He was walking down the seventh floor corridor planning to go to the room of requirement to think, it was getting to be too cold to go out the shrieking shack like he normally did, plus quite a bit of snow had fallen the night before and he didn’t want to have to warm a path to the shrieking shack to give people a wonder why he went out to the whomping willow.

But then he caught a glimpse of chocolate brown curls, there was no doubt in his mind that it was Theia, the girl that had been trying to avoid him since the Masquerade Ball. His mind set, he decided that today would be the day he would get through to her. Carefully he made his way to her before grabbing her arm and before she had a chance to refuse and pulled her into the Room of Requirement that had just appeared. He turned to shut the door and lock it before pulling out his wand and waving it lightly to cause the door knob to disappear. “Theia, we need to talk and you’re not leaving this room until we do,

[/color]” he said sternly as he pocketed his wand and turned to face the girl that he had fallen in love with.

she really hadn't been paying attention, not having expected anyone else to be on this floor at this time, she'd allowed herself to be taken by thoughts, to cut off her attention from the outside world, despite the fact that since jacob attacked her she was always a little wary, a little on edge. not that she was afraid, oh heck he was just a dick, but still.. he'd managed to catch her off her feet and get one over on her, she knew he'd try something again - or so she thought he might anyway. she couldn't allow that to happen again - for pride more than anything, and to proove to her parents...they weren't too thrilled with her at current, see. they had not been overjoyed when they'd found out about jacob getting one over or her..nor about the fact that she'd come second in the task. oh sure, most parents would be proud about that, but no..her parents were dissapointed in her - they'd even been pissed about the fact that she'd chosen tigress for her animagus figure. "what use is a tigress..." they'd snapped at her, and she'd taken it of course...but theia was getting pretty damn pissed about them now. she was tired of being walked over, put down, not good enough. tired of forever trying for their approval and being met with a brick wall. if she had somewhere to go she'd have cut loose from them months ago - but if she did that,she'd have nothing... they'd cut her completely from the family, give her no money no nothing. she'd have to have some place to go, some way of earning herself some money before she could leave.

suddenly something grasped her arm and she jumped, trying to spin around to see who it was, already thinking she knew as she felt that far too familiar jolt of ..whatever it was - that little spark - as he touched her, the one she only got when it was albus - as he yanked her, none to gently she might add, into the suddenly appeared room of requirement. frowning slightly, she made to pull her arm out of his grip and turned to face him, raising her eyebrows, trying to slink into that bitchy, sneering attitude she'd forced herself to adopt around him. "i never knew you liked it rough.." she smirked, hating the way her heart jumped slightly at the implication of her words and she made to fold her arms to avoid the impluse to take his hand..."careful, if xander finds out you've dragged me into an empty room alone, he might get jealous.." she tried to taunt, but it was lacking. she shouldn't be using xander to make him jealous... thinking of xander made her feel guilty. she liked him just... albus was always there, playing on her mind... and it wasn't fair to xander... her...boyfriend... she knew she should talk to him about going back to friendship - minus any benefits she might add - but at the same time.. maybe it was making it clear to albus that she couldn't do this...

“Theia, we need to talk and you’re not leaving this room until we do,” she sighed and shook her head, inspecting her nails before finally her temper flared slightly and she had to look at him. "we've already talked about this albus!" she burst out, knowing the word vomit was coming but not being able to hold it back. "you've got to stop this! we can't do this, we can't be together because i'll end up hurting you and i don't want to do that!! you deserve a hell of a lot better than me alright, so just stop it!" she knew she was pretty much shouting at him but hell if it got through to him then maybe that wasn't a bad thing.

“i never knew you liked it rough..” Albus had chosen to ignore that comment, knowing that there was no point in trying to defend himself as that wasn’t the reason why he dragged her into the room of requirement in the first place. “careful, if xander finds out you've dragged me into an empty room alone, he might get jealous..” So she was dating that Slytherin boy, Albus clenched up his hand for a moment before unclenching it and turning to look at her. He didn’t care of ‘Xander’ was jealous, he’s the one that took the girl that he wanted, so it was Xander’s own fault if he got jealous.

“we've already talked about this albus!” Albus stood there for a moment watching her, he already had the feeling that she was going to say that. But in Al’s mind, the didn’t talk it was a just pretty much Theia telling him to leave her alone, well he didn’t want it that way after all. “you've got to stop this! we can't do this, we can't be together because i'll end up hurting you and i don't want to do that!! you deserve a hell of a lot better than me alright, so just stop it!”

Albus closed his eyes as he clenched his fist once more, his turned to look down so that when he opened his eyes he could see his clenched fist. Who was she to decide what he deserved? Wasn’t it up to him. “Theia, it isn’t up to you to decide what I deserve! Stop looking down on yourself like that! I don’t care how many times you tell me that I deserve someone else, in my mind I only deserve you! I know you’re only dating Xander to escape the truth,

[/color]” he said angrily before pointing at her. “The truth that you’ve fallen for me as well and you’re too scared to admit it![/color]” he stated before he took a step towards her, waiting for her to reply before he made his next move.

she was both glad and dissapointed he ignored her comment - glad because she'd been so snippy and she didn't like being like that to him... disapointed because she wanted him to fight back - needed him to. theia could take a fight, she'd give everything she damn well had in a fight and usually come out on top. but if he didn't fight back it made her feel all the more awful for being like this to him. she saw how he clenched his fist as she spoke of xander. she thought he'd known - she'd spread it pretty much all over hogwarts to try and get through to albus that he couldn't have her, to drive him away by being so horrible about this. she hadn't meant to use xander.. and she wasn't really, he was a nice guy and very similar to her - they'd always been friends with a few slips into benefits before and it was just like then.. she knew neither of them loved the other, and knew they never would ... but it wasn't meant to last anyway.

after her outburst she bit her lower lip hard. she could feel it quivering, feel the horrible welling of salty tears in her brown eyes. she wasn't usually one to cry, theia. she wouldn't if she could damn well stop herself from it. as a child she'd been told weak people were the one's that broke down. if she wanted to be at the top she had to be the strongest she could be, all the time. she couldn't afford to be... like this. feel so.. vulnerable - a word theia hated to associate with her. she gritted her teeth for a moment, swallowing and blinking to try and force the wetness away. she didn't want to cry. she couldn't cry. since when did theresa kelsey ever cry!?

she hoped that he hadn't seen the tears, noting that as she'd looked away for the moment to rid them, he'd opened his eyes...though he didn't happen to be looking her way anyway. “Theia, it isn’t up to you to decide what I deserve! Stop looking down on yourself like that! I don’t care how many times you tell me that I deserve someone else, in my mind I only deserve you! I know you’re only dating Xander to escape the truth,” she frowned at the anger in his words, never having been spoken to like that from albus and she shook her head stubbornly, pushing back her long chocolate hair. "don't kid yourself. i love xander." a point blank lie. she didn't love him.. at least not in the way that she did with albus... “The truth that you’ve fallen for me as well and you’re too scared to admit it!” her frown deepened. "i'm not afraid of anything!" she spoke automatically, a response she always used when asked if she was afraid, mostly from whenever people tried to taunt her about the occasional thing. she was rattled though. he'd hit the nail on the head and she didn't like it. still she tried to refuse what he was saying, trying to ignore how he took a step forward."you've fallen for the wrong girl! why cant you see that!?" she spoke in almost desperation now. how could he want her? he knew what she was like. sure she had some goodness but ultimately he was so much better than her - he was the kind of tall, dark, handsome, save-the-world type of guys who girls with fair hair and blushed cheeks swooned over... she had a dark side, she could be cruel and snide and she'd hex someone for the fun of it if they got in her way. she played with guys, she didn't get attached, didn't let them get close to her. why was albus volunteering for the chopping block like this. he couldn't love her, he couldn't have fallen for her. she was always so confident but deep down insecurities ran parallel to her heart... why would he choose her over anybody else?

“don't kid yourself. i love xander.” Albus rolled his emerald green eyes, he knew there was no way that was true. She loved Xander? As if he was going to believe that, but apparently she had hoped that he would. Well, it wasn’t going to work on him. “i'm not afraid of anything!” he knew that Theia was good at hiding whatever it was that she was afraid of. That was how Theia was, she put on the tough Theia whenever she was around everyone else, but there have been few times that he has seen her let her wall down and as far as he knew it had only been to him and Scorp, no one else. “ you've fallen for the wrong girl! why cant you see that!?” Albus shook his head lightly, why was she so keen on trying to push him out? Well he wasn’t going to allow that anymore.

“No Theia, I’m pretty sure that I’ve fallen for the right girl. No matter how much you try to think that you aren’t good enough, you are. I’ve always seen the best in you and shown you how much better you are than your parents make you out to be. I don’t care if you get first place or last place in the tournament, if you get all nine NEWTS next year, or not a single one at all. To me you’re still the girl I’ve fallen for and still an outstanding girl and I’ll never stop loving you even if you claim you don’t,

[/color]” he said quite sternly keeping his emerald gaze upon her deep brown eyes. He needed her to realize she didn’t need to keep hiding and that he can always be her true self around her.

theia frowned as he rolled his eyes, evidently disbelieving her and she made to fold her arms over her chest and look at him. it surely couldn't be that hard to believe? she genuinely enjoyed xander's company, and she couldn't say she didn't feel anything at all when they were together...but it didn't have a touch on how albus could make her feel, and she bit her lip and looked away from him across the room of requirement. you could cut the tension with a knife, he was angry at her... she could feel it emanating from him, and she was both glad and also upset that he was so angry at her.

“No Theia, I’m pretty sure that I’ve fallen for the right girl. No matter how much you try to think that you aren’t good enough, you are. I’ve always seen the best in you and shown you how much better you are than your parents make you out to be. I don’t care if you get first place or last place in the tournament, if you get all nine NEWTS next year, or not a single one at all. To me you’re still the girl I’ve fallen for and still an outstanding girl and I’ll never stop loving you even if you claim you don’t,” he was trying to hold her gaze, and she swallowed as he spoke. nobody had ever really loved her quite like albus appeared too .. it was hard to believe it. her walls were crumbling around her now, and she had to look away with a shake of her head. "i..." she bit her lip. she what? she hated him? she wanted him to go? she never wanted to talk to him again? "i love you too..." she said after quite a hesitation, still not able to quite look at him, her gaze on the floor, chocolate curls falling forward to hide her face slightly as she blushed for saying it. this wasn't really the way she'd wanted to first tell someone she loved them... and she'd never imagined it would be albus...but she had to say it. she couldn't keep fighting him ... she loved him.

“i...” Albus watched as she shook her head. Was she really going to continue to deny it? What else could he say or do to get her to realize that she didn’t need to hide it, there really was no reason to hide it. He looked down, sighing softly thinking that perhaps this was going to be a lot harder than he thought. “ i love you too...” quickly his head shot up and a smile formed upon his soft lips. She said it, she actually said it. He was so happy he could sing, well not really cause Albus would never do that. But he pull Theia into his arms and softly kissed her lips, while wrapping his arms around her. This time, a kiss where they both knew who they were kissing. No masks, just their true selves, the way it was supposed to be, right?

He then broke the kiss and looked at her, gazing into her chocolate brown eyes. The only pair of eyes that he could so easily get lost in them. “You don’t need to hide yourself around me Theia, you know that right?[/color]” he said with a smile, hoping that he could continue to open Theia up as time moved on and one day make her realize she didn’t need to impress her parents all the time. That she could be whoever she wanted to be and that they didn’t have any say in it. All Albus wanted her to do was to do what she wanted to do.

she bit her lip, feeling albus' bright eyes upon her face as she shook her head and finally spoke the words she knew he'd been begging to hear, finally admitting it to herself. she loved albus, of course she loved albus, she couldn't believe how long she'd denied it, how long it'd taken her to figure it out, to say those words that she hadn't realised until now were such a big part of their friendship. even before the ball she should have known.. she'd always been different with albus to her other best friends, never been able to fit with any of her boyfriends before, always felt something was missing, off, different.

she saw how his head shot up and she bit her lip, a sudden flash of panic and insecurity that he was going to reject her, say it had been a joke, a bet, laugh and turn away from her.. or say that he'd changed his mind, that she was beneath him, a fool, she wasn't good enough for him, not smart enough pretty enough a good enough person...everything ran through her head... silenced by the simple press of his soft, supple, warm lips against her own. her eyelids fluttered close of their own accord, revelling in just the touch of their lips, that electricity heightened now by the fact that she knew who it was... that familiarity there as well as the excitement of how new this was. there were no masks, no facades, no lies nothing.. just simplicity ... albus and theia, that was all, and it was more than she could have dreamed.

as he broke the kiss she only realised now that she was in his arms, and how safe, secure.. happy she felt in his hold. she opened her eyes to gaze into his and she heard him speak, “You don’t need to hide yourself around me Theia, you know that right?” she chewed on her lower lip, knowing he wanted her to say yes but not sure she could, a flash of uncertainty in her gaze. she wanted to be herself but it was hard.. she trusted albus, of course she did but.. to work down all those barriers she'd put around herself just like that? she couldn't... it would take time, whether they were in love or not. she knew how easy it was to get hurt if she wasn't careful, and theia broke far to easily when she had no defences to hide behind. she sighed lightly and gave a small nod. "i know... but... be patient... promise?" she asked, looking at him slightly nervously, knowing he'd understand what she meant. she'd get there.. she'd let him in but he'd need to be patient, it took time for theia to really show herself to people... but she would, for albus.

Albus watched Theia as she chewed on her lower lip. Most people would think that it was a bad habit, but honestly Albus thought it was kind of cute that she did that. “i know... but... be patient... promise?” he smiled at her as he placed and arm around her and begun to guide her out of the room. “I promise to be patient if you promise to go to the Yule Ball with me,[/color]” he smirked lightly before giving her a swift kiss on the cheek and hugging her lightly. He wanted to make sure Theia would always know that he would never hurt her. She would never be on the list of people that he would want to hurt, ever. Even if she did one day break his heart, which he highly doubt would ever happen, he still wouldn’t be able to he just cared for her all too much.

He brushed his messy jet black hair to the side before pulling his wand out of his pocket and pointing it at the door he had get magically locked to where only he could open up. “Well I don’t need to hold you hostage anymore, shall we go down to the Great Hall and get dinner?[/color]” he asked her lightly. “We don’t have to hold hands or anything like those other lovey dovey couples, unless you want to that is,[/color]” he joked lightly as he studied her curiously with his emerald green eyes. He never thought that Theia would be the type to be all lovey dovey all the time like some of the couples out there anyways.

she felt a swell of relief as he smiled, knowing that that smile was a promise right there even before the accompanying words were out his mouth. “I promise to be patient if you promise to go to the Yule Ball with me,” she laughed lightly and looked at him, feeling a faint blush as he kissed her cheek. why was it only he seemed to make her blush so much with the simplest of things. she looked at him and gave him a lightly grin, "course i will," she said softly, a feeling of warmth spreading though her. she hadn't been that interested in going to the ball but with albus...she felt incredibly excited for it.

she grinned as he brushed at his jet black hair, liking how messy it was and she watched him unlock the door with a raise of an eyebrow. “Well I don’t need to hold you hostage anymore, shall we go down to the Great Hall and get dinner?” she rolled her eyes lightly, "yeah...no need to lock me up anymore.." she shook her head, half teasing him though surprised by his bold and stubborn nature...she liked it however. she nodded to his question however, eager to attend dinner with him, mostly because she was hungry, but also because she wanted to show people they were together. her and xander had been on the outs and hadn't been public...he'd known she was interested in someone else, they'd barely become anything aside from friends with benefits and it wouldn't hurt him, he'd probably be happy for her.

“We don’t have to hold hands or anything like those other lovey dovey couples, unless you want to that is,” she headed outside with him and looked at him, moving her hand to go and try to take his hand gently and link their fingers, "i know but...i'd like to hold your hand." she spoke softly, almost nervously and allowed her guard to drop. she wasn't really much for public displays of affection but she did have a soft side. if she dropped her guard you got to see that she did like holding a guys hand, being held by him, curling up with them and just spending time with them. she knew she didn't seem the type but she was pretty soft hearted with the right guy, and albus was definetly the right guy...
