If anyone knew Neville, they would know what his favorite magical plant was and today he was going to show the class what it was and what it was used for, as well as how to take care of it. He of course still had the Mimbulus Mimbletonia that he had gotten in his fifth year at Hogwarts. He took pride in how well he had taken care of it as he grew up, and he was quite glad that he still had it, then again he always did excel in Herbology and of course even landed the Herbology Professor.
Today he was wearing a set of his black robes as well as a black hat to match it. Normally he wore his deep maroon ones, but today he felt to wear a different color, but all of his robes were of dark colors. He remembered a particular wizard when he went to Hogwarts that would wear robes of all sorts of colors, that particular wizard of course turned out to be a joke, but now wasn’t the time to think about it.
He hadn’t written what they were learning about today in class on the black board behind him. No he wanted the NEWT students to guess what it was that he had on the table before him. Of course the Mimbulus Mimbletonia that was on the table was quite big and even the boils were big compared to when he first had gotten it when he was fifteen. The rest of the Mimbulus Mimbletonia happened to be in the back part of the green houses, once the students had answered some questions he would then let them go back there in groups of three or four to get their own Mimbulus Mimbletonia for them to take care of for the rest of the school year.
( ALRIGHT BOYS AND GIRLS, THIS CLASS IS NOW OPEN. I WILL TRY MY BEST TO POST EVERY THREE DAYS, TO GIVE YOU ALL A CHANCE TO POST. YOU ONLY HAVE TO POST 150 WORDS, (I WILL BE CHANGING THIS FOR CLASS RULES SOON ANYWAYS) AND IF YOU DON'T POST BY THE TIME I POST NEVILLE NEXT TIME, AND YOU ARE SIGNED-UP FOR HERBOLOGY, YOUR HOUSE WILL BE DOCKED POINTS! )

If it wasn't Potions or Transfiguration, it was Herbology that Riley loved. For this class followed the other two very closely. Her favorite magical plant happened to be the Tentacula leaves. She loved how the plant moved, but trying to cut a leaf or two off was rather difficult. She was wrapped up in her cloak as she made her way down to the greenhouses for class. It was a nice day out just a bit breezy at times, but she knew the greenhouses can get rather humid and hot with all the bodies in the room. As she walked into the classroom, she saw Professor Longbottom there with the Mimbulus Mimbletonia behing him on the desk. She had always thought they were ugly looking plants, but did not say anything for she figured Professor Longbottom loved the plant and did not want to start off the class on his bad side.
"Good morning Professor," Riley said as she took a seat towards the back of the room kind of in the middle. She had heard about Neville back in his days at Hogwarts and how he was sort of a know-it-all when it came to Herbology, but how he was this shy, fearful boy who tended to stand up to his friends very cautiously. As she sat down she took out her parchment and book and waited for others to show up.

Before choosing the classes she wanted to continue into her sixth year Rose had given great thought to her interest and where she wanted to go after Hogwarts. Although her NEWTs were still a year away Rose wanted to be prepared for a couple of different options. After all she could change her mind before her seventh year. All of her classes for the year were chosen and she even liked most of them. While Herbology wasn’t her favorite class she liked it well enough and couldn’t wait to get to the lesson for the day. It was time for Herbology and Rose had made sure to wrap a scarf snugly around herself to ward off some of the November chill. Rose had left the castle with plenty of time to make it to class on time and as such took her time on her way to the greenhouses. She only picked up the speed towards the end as the wind whipped some of her hair out of the bun on the top of her head.
She was finally inside and saw Professor Longbottom with one of his plants. Rose wasn’t really one for plants, she wasn’t actually very good at taking care of them but she tried her best and did decently when she concentrated. ”Morning Professor.” Taking a seat near the front she unwrapped her scarf and shoved it in her bag while she waited for the rest of the students to arrive.

Laughing as she went, Poppy ran down from the castle and out to join the rest of the NEWT students and her father for today’s Herbology lesson; one of the few classes she seemed to be naturally gifted in, though that was probably hereditary from her father. Poppy just loved anything that lived in general, plant life or animal, and seemed to have a natural affinity at understanding them, which made both Herbology and Care of Magical Creatures not only easy for her, but more interesting also. By the time she got to the greenhouses, Poppy felt like she was sweating buckets under her layers of clothes, despite the November chill that had settled in, and it didn’t help that when she entered the NEWT greenhouse, she was hit with a strong wave of humid heat.
“Phew,” she let out a large breath and took off her coat, followed by her sweater and set them both across her bag as she ventured into her father’s class, immediately eying the Mimbulus Mimbletonia she was so familiar with. Without hesitation, she went up and stroked it lightly, giggling at the crooning noises it made, before bringing her hand back to herself, and waving to her father. “Hi Daddy,” she greeted, and went to find a seat, taking the one next to Rose Weasley. “Hey Rose!” she greeted cheerily and plopped down beside her.

It was around mid-day and herbology class would be starting any moment. Shailene had been up in the library getting some work done when she caught sight of the clock. In order to arrive on time she needed to hurry to class. Quickly she stuffed her materials in her polka dotted bag and rushed out of the library and headed down four flights of stairs to get to the main entrance. It was rather chilly today and Shailene pulled out her hat from her coat pocket and pushed it onto her head. Now she would be warm since he ears were covered.
Shailene walked across the grassy field and entered the greenhouse. Three other students were there and she was happy that she wasn't late. Walking toward the front of the class Shailene smile at Professor Longbottom. "Hi Professor." She said before taking a seat and placing her bag on the table. She noticed the plant on the table and knew immediately what they were learning, but she wouldn't say anything unless it became a question in which she could earn some house points for.

Defense Against the Dark Arts class had ended about an hour ago and Zmeyette had spent that hour practicing the spell that they had just learned. It had been a long time since Zmeyette fully was engaged with a lesson but learning Fiendfyre spell was amazing. She felt truly powerful and destructive at the same time. A feeling that Zmeyette's werewolf craved. But then the class bell rang and Zmeyette stashed her wand knowing it was time to go off to Herbology. If this hadn't off been her last year here Zmeyette probably would have skipped the class to keep playing with the spell but she wanted to make her father proud of her so Zmeyette was aiming for good marks this year.
Zmeyette strolled into class not even interested in what they would be learning today. She quickly took a seat and didn't say a word for there was no one in here that was worth her time. Zmeyete just wanted to get this lesson over with and go on about her business.

Vasilisa sat in the common room by the fire with her bag next to her on the floor. She was debating on attending her next class which happened to be herbology; a class she didn't much care for and she wondered why on earth she was still taking it. Her father. That was the reason why she was taking courses that she didn't fit the future she had planned out for herself because she was letting her father choose her path for her. Something she hated but couldn't much detest to. Sighing she seriously considered missing the class just to spite her father but punishment would follow if he ever found out and Vasilisa wasn't about to have that again.
Begrudgingly she stood up and slung her bag over her shoulder and headed out to the green houses. It took a good five minutes or more to walk across the field to where her herbology lessons took place but when she entered she saw she wasn't late at all. There wasn't many people in the class, especially ones she would associate with, but there happened to be a fellow Slytherin sitting there. Even though it was Zmeyette Greyback she would rather share a table with her than a puff so Vasilisa joined the werewolf at the table, trying to control her own fears of the beast that Zmeyette was.

Having skipped breakfast that morning Ethan was more than ready to leave his Defnse Against the Dark Arts class, even though they had been playing with fire all morning, his stomach needed some food. Thankifully his lunch came before his next lesson which would be herbology. He would need a fully belly in order to sit in the stuffy glass box or else he might of fallen asleep.
After eatting a good amount for lunch Ethan grabbed his bag off the bench in the Great Hall and positioned it back on his shoulder. As he was heading out he ran into a few fellow slytherins that wanted to talk with him for a few mins which he normally would blow off but lately he had been feeling in a better mood. Finishing up his conversation with the boys he left for Herbology class, entering and sitting at an empty table for he really didn't have any reason to sit with the other two slytherins in the class nor any of the other classmates.

Neville nodded at each of the students as they entered the classroom, smiling at them as he preferred to be one of the less stern teachers. His smile widened as his daughter said hello to him, normally he’d swoop his little girl up into a big hug, but they were at school and that would be quite unprofessional of him after all. “Alright class,
” he started once it was time for class to start and it seemed that most of the students were there. “ Now can anyone guess what kind of plant this is?” he directed the question at the entire class, but he knew not many of them would know what it was. He was sure that his daughter would easily guess it, after all, she lived with him during the holidays and often enough Neville would go on about his wonderful plant. Then there was the part of the class that would know because they read the books and then there was the few that didn’t really know because well they just didn’t pay attention and most likely did not read the book. Rose didn’t mind having to wait for the class to start. It gave her some time to flip through her book once more to review the chapter, although she had read it a couple of days ago in the library. And it gave all of her classmates time to get down to class. Professor Longbottom’s class happened to be one of her favorites, more because of how he tried to make Herbology interesting to everyone more than her actual love for it. She didn’t mind plants so much and it was always useful to know which plants could be dangerous, and which could be helpful. “Alright class,”
Rose shut her book and turned her attention to the professor. It seemed that while she had been reading some of the chapter once again that most of the class had shown up. It was often like that with her. Sometimes when she was reading or studying she lost focus on the world around her. “Now can anyone guess what kind of plant this is?” Rose took some time to examine the plant carefully before deciding to answer. While there was nothing wrong with being wrong it wasn’t something she much enjoyed. ”I think it’s the mimbulus mimbletonia.” Rose was unsure of having said it right but hopefully she was close enough.

Shailene waited patiently for the rest of the students to come in so that class could start. As always the class started off with the identification of the plant. Shailene thought she knew the answer but had wanted to double check in the book to make sure she was right. Of course there was nothing wrong with being incorrect but Shailene didn't want to waste her answer if it wasn't right. Flipping through her herbology book rather quickly she fell upon the page she was in search of. The name of the plant matched the ones sitting in front of her. She was about to say the answering when another voice seemed to beat her to it. Rose Weasley had answered the question before she had, which honestly wasn't that big of a deal and she smiled in Rose's direction. She would get the next one that came around.
