Being the Deputy Headmaster, Neville had a lot on his shoulders. The Professors were now investigating into the attacks on students as there had been several. So far they hadn’t been anything as bad as when he was a student at Hogwarts, but they seemed to be getting worse and the Professors weren’t getting any closer to figuring out who was behind the attacks. But now wasn’t the time to be worrying about that as he had a class to teach.
Dressed in his deep maroon robes, with a red hat to match, because he was cool like that to show off being a Gryffindor. He was now standing in front of the chalk board scribbling away at what today’s lessons would be about. In the last lesson he had, had the fourth and fifth years repot the mandrakes, which he will have them do again, however they didn’t need repotting just yet. So instead they were going to work on learning something else. He had stepped away from the board once he was finished writing and in big letters at the top was “FANGED GERMANIUMS”. He hoped that these plants wouldn’t frighten any of the students.
He looked over to the end of the Green House where all of the Fanged Germaniums were trying to bite at each other, but he had made sure to space them far apart from each other so that they couldn’t try and eat each other, otherwise that would be a huge disaster. So what was he going to have his students do with the Fanged Germaniums today? Well they were going to start learning how to take care of them, and learn to tame them. All of the students will be put into groups of three and each have their own Fanged Germanium that they will take care of for the rest of the year.

It was time once again for another herebology lesson and Roxanne headed across the field to the green houses. There was a light covering of snow outside and the temperature had surely dropped. Roxanne was bundled up in her school robes with Gryffindor accessories such as a scarf, gloves, and hat to finish off the outfit. Her teeth began to chatter by the time she had reached the entrance to the green house they were assigned to today.
Pushing open the door, Roxanne made her way in and to an empty table. She was the first to arrive which she didn't mind much at all today. Behind her she could hear snapping noises which caught her attention. There were plants lined up against the back wall that were trying their hardest to attack their nearest neighbor. Roxanne looked back to the board to see what they would be working with today, evidently those plants had fangs. Roxanne smiled for she enjoyed the danger in some of these lessons. "I'm not going to lose a finger am I professor?" She asked with excitement in her voice, which might of been the wrong emotion to go with such a question but she couldn't want to get her hands on these plants. It would be a fun class watching some of those slytherins get bit.

Arianna placed her materials back in her bag when the bell rang announcing class had ended. She hadn't needed much for her Defense Against the Dark Arts lesson, so it hadn't taken her long to pack up and be on her way to Herbology. The Flagrate spell was one that didn't require much from the students and she happened to like having a break before the holidays. There was never anything wrong with having a bit of fun, even for the very studious Ravenclaw.
With her bag on her shoulder, Arianna made her way down the great oak doors and pushed one open to go outside. Herbology always took place in the green houses around the side of the castle. It was rather cold out so Arianna stopped to pull on her gloves and scarf that she had previously placed in her bag. Arianna walked to the green houses and upon entering she heard snapping sounds. She looked around to see the plants in the back of the class trying to bite each other. "Oh dear!" She yelled, bringing her hand to her mouth. Did Professor Longbottom honestly think this was safe enough for them? "Are we really working with these Professor?" She asked with a tint of fear in her voice.

Neville chuckled at some of the students comments about the fanged germaniums; he knew many would be scared of them while many would be curious as well. “Don’t worry class, I won’t let any serious harm come to you. But first of all, who can tell me what kind of plants these are?
” he asked the class hoping that someone could tell him. He casually walked over to chalk board and picked up a piece of chalk, ready to write down the name of the plants once someone guessed it right. “ And of course you can tell me anything you know about the plants as well,” he said lightly as he placed the tip of the chalk on the chalkboard and turned to face the class. Waiting patiently for someone to answer, he wondered who would answer first. He knew that most of his students were known for blurting out the answers, which he was perfectly fine with. It was quite interesting to see that Professor Longbottom found a bit of amusement in his student's reactions to the snapping plants that they would be working with today. But he assumed them all that they would leave the lesson with all of their fingers and that was a promise that Roxanne could respect. She would never think that Professor Longbottom would lie to his class about anything, he was always a trustworthy person Roxanne's eyes.
Although the lesson was just beginning and the usual routine of getting the basic information out about the plant of interest Roxanne was finding it hard to concentrate on Professor Longbottom's question. Though she was quite certain she really had no idea what the plant was named she thought it would be important to know such a thing but Roxanne's eyes steadily wandered to the back of the room where the noisy plants were starting up a war with one another.

The herbology lesson for today had Arianna very apprehensive to get started. As the wicked plants snapped at each other in the back of the class Arianna was certain she might get bit by the end of the class which was not something she was looking forward to. Hopefully Professor Longbottom had proper hand protection in handling this toothy plants. Growing up in a royal family and being the only one, by birth right, to inherit the throne Arianna wasn't much exposed to dangerous things. But with her parents back in Luxembourg it was hard for them to stop whatever happened within Hogwarts.
Arianna turned her focus back on Professor Longbottom as he asked the class to identify the plant. Letting out a small chuckle she raised her hand before saying "Ummm, Professor. Have you forgotten that you have already written the name of the plant on the board?" Amused, she pointed to the chalk board just out of his vision that read Fanged Geraniums. "Seeing as you gave away the name already I'll try my hand at the additional information. Fanged Geraniums are plants that have a good amount of teeth and seem to be rather territorial. It is also speculated that the a muggle war, War of the Roses, was started over a pair of wizards arguing over the plant, though no one can be too certain of that." Arianna stated. It had always interested her that even though the muggles world didn't know of the magical one it was still affected by them.
