alexis flicked her long hair back from over her shoulder, removing it from the line of her pale blue eyes as she rose from her perch on the leather sofa. she found the common room of no such great interest at present, and there was nobody of interest to converse with, so she may as well move on. so long as no despicable mudbloods or blood traitors attempted to talk to her then there would be no worry of split blood in the corridors this afternoon; alexis was feeling in a rather... relaxed mind this cool late afternoon.
she had not bothered to do the homework set, as she never did, and she did not play quidditch or participate in any clubs, and so her evenings were free to do as she pleased - and oh how alexis loved to do as she wanted. a little first year watched with apparent fasination and greed toward her newly vacated seat as she rose and made to move away. raising her eyebrows coldly, alexis paused and looked at the young boy, her gaze hardened as it always did when talking to another - particulary a child. "though the seat is now vacated, it will remain as such whilst i take a stroll around the castle, and until i return - on which case i will reclaim it, understood." though her tone was light, her voice soft and most alluring, there was an undercurrent of clear cut thread, and her hard, inpenetrable gaze spoke more volumes that the words. this was a woman you never wanted to mess with - you'd most likely find yourself hanging from the astronomy tower by your toes..
allowing a satisfyed smirk to pull at her full lips, seeing that the boy had very obviously gotten her message by the way he backed up and half collapsed into the armchair he'd been about to abandon in favour of her seat. she flickered her gaze toward the common room door and headed for it, already forgetting about the boy and the seat - it was hardly important to her, she just enjoyed the terrorizing - and exited the room, heading down the corridor with her head held at it's usual arrogance, stalking the empty, shadowed hallway with her casually provokative walk, heels clacking precisely on the floor as she moved. she felt it rather than heard or saw it - someone else close by, she knew it. raising her eyebrows slightly she paused in step and half turned toward a secluded shadow a few metres away. "if you wanted to follow me, you only had to ask.." she spoke out to whoever was there; tone arrogant and self important as ever, even having the audacity to look over her pefect nails in apparent boredem as she awaited the person to show themselves...

James was bored and his brown hair was just tossed in every which direction as he ran down the vacant hallway into nowhere. Surely this was normal for him to be misled by the marauder's map and even if it was upside down he really didn't ever know where he was going in some of these secret passageways. Finally he exited from the seventh floor passageway to find himself leading down the whole way and he was wearing a common white t-shirt. Unable to actually find the exit since it was so dark now, and he had to actually just let his blue jeans brush against the walls as it was a rather tight space. Letting his blue eyes search for any sign of light he then said "lumos!" and his wand lit up with light.
Looking forward, he saw a statue with a lever, and pushed it. Now he could easily get used to this, but he really disliked such tight spaces. Once the door opened, he noticed instantly he was in his least favorite place to arrive at. The Slytherin common room or at least close to it, since he was near the entrance way. Not many people could fathom how he had gotten here, and a charimsatic, yet very alluring Slytherin girl. Not that he really cared right now since she seemed to look like well a bitch. Other than that, there was no reason for him to talk to her, so he continued on past her without saying a word. Minding his own business.
If she had half a brain she wouldn't bother him as he totally ignored, and if she dared attack him with his back turned towards her he would instantly reverse said spell back on her. "Fine, you caught me, I just ended up coming out at the wrong place, please forgive my insolence and I will be on my way," he said to her sarcastically as he was already walking past her.

alexis waited with an air of impatience as the boy seemed to dwell within the shadows for long than needed - she knew he was there, he knew she knew.. why bother trying to conceal himself any longer? it was a ridiculous and pointless feat if she had to say. she did not really care for his itentiy or reasoning, but as someone who had such a reputation to uphold it was in her best interests to learn of this irritaing, pesky little fly and swat it away.
as an annoyingly familiar face stepped forward alexis's full upper lip curled, a clear sign of her distaste, her shadowed gaze expressing her disaproval and altomatic despise of the gryffindor seventh year boy. oh yes, though he be seventeen he was merely a boy - childish, immature and frankly .. he knew nothing of the world to be called a man, though he tried to play one. her cold gaze flickered briefly over him, her thoughts flickering along the direction of why he was here, and she would retain the answer from him before she dismissed him..whether it be volunteered or .. otherwise.
"Fine, you caught me, I just ended up coming out at the wrong place, please forgive my insolence and I will be on my way," her eyebrows raised, her clear cut gaze penetrated his. "now now, potter, where are your manners? that's no way to speak to a lady.. and a far more important person than yourself at that." she said simply, her tone almost polite, though beneath them was a bearly detectable displeasurement. oh she was a very difficult one to understand - complex and manipulative to the extreme, a ream of puzzle after puzzle, layer after layer. upon the outside she was very often polite, courtious even at the best of times, however throughout conversation and thought fury and discontempt bubbled. she was so carefully constructed, so very very self contained that it was hard to detect..and often her words were even playful careless - yet that was when she was at her most dangerous. "forgiveness? you ask for it as though it exhists." she laughed, the sound so light, clearly expressing how she thought the boy naive, and yet the darkness was impossible to miss. "don't let me catch you down here again young gryffindor.. or we might just have a problem now, might we." the threat was so clearly implied, yet hidden beneath sweeetness and innocent smiles... oh how she could be so cold cutting ruthless was beyond people...but there was no way to deny it. alexis adams was one to steer clear of...

James wasn't too thrilled about encountering the self-centered arrogant bitch girl Alexis. Surely, his mind had to control his thoughts, but he knew fully well what he needed to do to resign the fact she was saying she was superior. James was going to have it his own way if he could and wasn't about to bow down to them. Oh no, that wasn't the way James Potter played, but he merely acted innocent of his own accord playing along with this childish girls game. Even if she was the top dog of her own, but he cared no more for her than any other self-righteous prude snake. Right now, he was actually comparing her to the few others that reminded him of her. Well, there was that girl who called herself Olivia...never even looking at him.
Usually just receiving a glare from her, but at some point there would have been contact. Finally succeeding in perhaps irritating her a little he hoped by not answering her he soon waved her off at that moment. Pretending he didn't even recognize her, and soon was turning the corridor. Letting her follow after him if she wished, but he wasn't going to slow his pace. Although as he had rounded the corner he had whispered a small spell from the corner of his mouth. Snickering slightly she'd be greeted by a blast of confetti from the wall that would obstruct her vision. Potter was a damn conniving prick when he wanted to be.
Especially if someone was acting arrogant and like a righteous snob. Alexis was surely deserving of this, but this was minor compared to what he had planned for her later on. Of course, James planned on having a retaliation like no other when he usually got together with Frank Longbottom about their long ass conversations of who they should target. James always suggested someone worth targeting and no one was worthless unless he meant to target them. Right now, his focus was on Alexis as he spoke to her, "Oh, well I'm afraid you'll have to pardon me, your harness, I have to get going," he said the one word wrong on purpose just to irritate her further.

as he said nothing, alexis raised her eyebrows, her wand in her right hand from apparently no where, and she tapped it against her left palm in an impatient way. alexis did not enjoy waiting around for time wasters - in fact she didn't enjoy waiting around in general, no matter who for. and so as still, silence prevaded she curled her lip in distaste. "are you such a complete moron that you're incapable of speaking?!" she goaded, the despise for him coloured her words, gaze sharp and brittle as they looked upon him unrelentingly.
he was walking away.. walking away before she'd dismissed him from her presence! oh how childish. she stayed where she was.. no damn way would she ever follow potter, and her right eyebrow raised. she said nothing, allowing the cold silence to speak for itself as she glared at his back, a wonderous monotonous tangle of jinxes and hexes and curses running through her mind as she pondered the temptation of sending him off with one, her right hand twitching around her wand. but no, she must remain controlled and so, she merely watched him walk away.
as confetti suddenly exploded from seemingly nowhere, alexis blinking, though she refused to move from where she stood, brushing the horrible coloured mush from her honey blonde hair. "showing off your feminine side, jamsey?" she taunted, the tone clearly irritated, as he wanted her to be - as she knew he wanted her to be. but she cared nothing for what he wanted, she would be irritated all she wanted. "Oh, well I'm afraid you'll have to pardon me, your harness, I have to get going,"
she heard his words and rolled her eyes, shaking her head and glancing away as if bored. oh she kept an eye on him, but she knew him by 'reputation'. he would not strike without fellows to 'back him up' the terrible yellow bellied coward. and they say slytherins were the snakes? sure, alexis may be full of venom and strike fast and deadly before you knew it.. but she was hardly one to crawl around on her belly. if anything, gryfffindor where the relentless filfth of the wizarding world - and potter a prime example. "yes i should think you'd be running along now.. this corridor is no place for a child... you're sure to get hurt and there's noone to stand infront of you." she taunted, not even bothering to look at him as she lent casually against the wall of the corridor and began an inspection of her nails.

"Sorry I don't listen the prattles of oh wait...I CAN'T hear you...what were you saying?" he said, playing that one childish game that was set to piss off anyone, and he was glad when he said it too. Letting the humor show in his voice, the arrogance to actually upset her, but he knew fully well where it would lead. Walking further along the other corridors, he was well out of view, but he knew she was probably following him out of sheer boredom. Most Slytherins were like that, but like she said, he really had no business here. Viewing the Marauder's map for a second or two he realized he had found another secret passageway. No harm in trying it out once he dealt with Mrs. didn't get up on the right side of the bed.
"What's the matter, snake got your tongue?" he asked, taunting her once more, but he wasn't going to drag this out with just words. Potter was really itching to take his frustrations out on someone, and she just happened to be the perfect candidate. Even if this did result in where it usually did whenever he crossed someone as strange as Alexis. Not having many run-ins with her actually, but he knew there was probably a reason for that. Attempting to pretend he was going to duel her now, and realized how boring that was. Feigning a yawn after standing his ground for a little to let her catch up. "Wow, even snails move faster than you, oh and they think faster too," he taunted.

"Sorry I don't listen the prattles of oh wait...I CAN'T hear you...what were you saying?" alexis laughed, the sound filled with fake amusement, and she cut it off rather quickly, curling her lip and looking at him with irritation. "and how old are you, potter? 10? ... " she responded simply, bored of his silly little comebacks and still checking out her nails. she was tired of this stupid little boy, why had he come down here? surely he knew he was going to get hurt .. or at the very least snapped at. why would he have bothered coming down here?
"What's the matter, snake got your tongue?" alexis raised an eyebrow and rolled her eyes, cold gaze staring him down as she watched him. "keep walking away potter, before you get hurt." this time her tone was calm as ever, cold and her threat bearly concelaed as she looked at him. if he didn't leave she was going to make him - end of really. she was tired of this stupid game. oh she liked playing gays, sure, but that didn't mean she liked playing stupid games with little insolent children like him.
. "Wow, even snails move faster than you, oh and they think faster too," she looked at him and raised an eyebrow, the distance between them larger now. "i'm not following you, you stupid child. nor will i ever." she half snarled, rolling her eyes and looking away. if anything she would let him keep walking away, like he should. she would never, ever follow a gryffindor anywhere! shaking her head she glanced toward the slytherin common room, pondering as to whether she should head back now, tired of this stupid boy and his pathetic comebacks.

"I'm surprised you haven't insulted yourself already, after all, just talking to you is an insult to me." he said to her, hoping to get her ego churned a little. Even the notorious James Potter had a subtlety that no one could subdue even as he was entering the secret passage way that appeared out of nowhere. Elusive and cunning, he realized this one would take him INTO the Slytherin common room. Time to have some fun he guessed, but the Marauder's map really wasn't useful for many of the secret passageways in the time his dad has possessed it. Now was his chance to prove how annoying Gryffindor's could be while getting away with the fact that the resident bitch was in the house.
Chuckling at the insult he gave towards her, it probably would give him another reason to chastise her for even bothering to actually try harming him verbally. A mistake she'd soon learn was hard to forget, but he wasn't about to let her live up to her own name either. James had another plan that was much more annoying than the confetti, and if he wanted to be called a kid for it so be it. Darkness powder in one hand, chocolate frogs in the other, she'd be prepared for a world of hurt. No, this was a prank that had been pulled before, he needed something more practical and less obvious. What in the world could he use then as he mulled over in his thoughts about dowsing her with water too.
Arching his back, he soon avoided taking the passage way calling around the corner, while conjuring what could be described as tar right around the corner out of sight near the ceiling. Using a sticking charm to make the bucket stick up there. Also making sure there was none leaking out the sides and grinning mischievously to himself. Don't mess with Slytherin, bitch...or I'll cut you good, James thought to himself, amusingly.

"I'm surprised you haven't insulted yourself already, after all, just talking to you is an insult to me." alexis curled her top lip, wishing she could wipe that despicable smirk right off the ugly gryffindor's face. oh how she longed to throw a good hex at him and kill him. perhaps killing was a step too far.. but he deserved something at least. she shook her head slightly, forcing herself to push back these emotions and remain uncaring, cold and cruel as ever, her face impassive and showing no emotion or reaction besides the curling of that top lip.
"you're an insult in itself potter...and if you don't mind, i've better things to be getting on with." she half snarled, the undertone of her words disinterested. she turned her back on the stupid gryffindor boy and instead made to head back toward the slytherin common room. apparently there was nothing of interest around and so .. why not just head back and torture some more first years or something to that affect. the potter boy could do whatever the damn he wanted so long as he didn't disturb her...
...she figured she'd wander the corridors a little bit before heading back, and so she had no idea what the idiot was doing to the slytherin common room...but she was soon to find out. upon saying the password to the slytherin common room, she heard something clunk overhead, and jumped backward just a step in time before the bucket tipped its contents onto the place she'd just been standing, the bucket coming down heavy afterward and catching her left arm which she'd flung out in surprise, dumping a little of the tar onto her arm in the proces.
though she hadn't been dunked in it, and it took bearly a second to flick her wand over her arm and clean the mess, she wasn't best pleased...no that was putting it mildly - alexis was furious. she glanced about for the culprit, knowing exactly who it was - this was potter's work and she narrowed her eyes on the room around her. "show yourself you damn coward!" she yelled in fury, brandishing her wand and ready to aim a horrible hex at him the moment she caught sight of that stupid gryffindors stupid face..

James had to make quick work of the map as he wasn't about to get into a duel with this prissy woman that thought she could walk down the hall ways and own them. Of course he wasn't one to leave her a present as he tossed a dung bomb into the middle of the room not caring who was it in it's path. In fact he was sure Slytherin would appreciate it as he ran off, and sooner or later he managed to get to the secret passage way without her noticing. Eagerly pushing his way down the hall way and through the corridors until he exited it after saying the charm to open it again. Working the same way as before, but if Alexis had half a brain she would have known he would have ran.
In fact, he was just attempting to tick her off further, and there would be a trail of berty bott's every flavored beans on the ground for her to follow that he was purposely leaving behind to let them trail to another wall. That's when he moved to the wall opposite of it, hiding around the corner and decided to cast the invisible hex on himself to make him blend in with his surroundings. James knew it was a legit passage way but he had forgotten she would go off the trail once she realized none of the beans were there. Of course he had run out of beans since he had dropped them in piles here or there, and prayed that she didn't find him lounging behind the column he had found to hide behind.
Even with the bedazzled hex, it was hard to keep still, but he was on the verge of sneezing to see her reaction. Yes, his wand was out, but he wasn't about to go into self-defense mode just yet. James was very deserving of the punishment she would had given him if he didn't run off. Of course the foul smell that would have followed after him if he had stayed within the secret passage way wouldn't help clear it out right away. James had taunted her as he left the room "Yes, but you'll never find me if I keep acting like a coward...and you really haven't sent any hexes my way," he shouted at after securing his position so that she wouldn't be able to tell where he was hiding.
