Bartholomew seemed to have a lot of days off now these times, and it wasn't like him to take it off just for the fun of it. After all it wasn't like he couldn't handle a drink every now and then, but in this instance, he was actually heading out to the Hog's Head alone without anyone to talk to. Perhaps, just for the fun of it, he would attempt to meet someone new and actually get to know them without having some guy waking up next to him in bed. Not that it had ever happened, but he was going to be very wary if he was too drunk to the point he couldn't remember anything. Checking his pocket for money just in case he needed it to pay for some of the drinks. Of course, nothing was free in the wizarding world, just like the muggle world, there were many places that took gold coins now at least.
Even as the money in the muggle world had normally confused him, but he had to learn about since his father wanted him well aware of how muggles acted. That was another reason his father had been a protector for the Prime Minister of Britain, working as an undercover agent. Then after wards temporarily became acting head of the Ministry of Magic, and then passed it along to Draco Malfoy, who he thought would be a rather worthy successor. It wasn't too long after that, it was Bartholomew's turn to start to ask about the many different things to do in Hogsmeade during his last year. There was lots, but he rarely visited the Hog's head as he was usually stirring up trouble at the Three Broomsticks instead. On good days, he'd go to Diagon Alley to raid the Leaky cauldron, but that didn't stop him from doing what he wanted.
Wearing a normal button up brown shirt, and a nice overy-laying navy blue coat to cover it, with black dress pants and dress shoes to give him a more suave appearance. Nothing adorned his head as he didn't find the need to dress up too bad, but he was at least to the point where he could actually be seen without having to hide his clothing too. Finally walking up to the bar tender, he then spoke softly in his deep voice with the hint of an Indian accent to it, "I would like to order a fire whiskey please," he said calmly, having walked up beside another patron, but as he was pulling away with the fire whiskey after paying he accidentally spilled it on her. "OH my I'm sooo clumsy and sorry about that," he said to the person, who was obviously female and used his own wand to clean up the spill for her, so that she wouldn't have to be bothered to get out her wand.

words // 326 // outfit // clicky // tagged // bart she's the girl, A L L T H E B A D G U Y S W A N T Professor Swanson, or Adele as she liked to be called when out of the Hogwarts grounds, was in need of a break. She planned on going down to Hogsmeade after dinner so she could have a drink at Hog's Head for a while. Then she planned on coming back to Hogwarts and take a long, hot bubble bath. It was all she could do now a days to not strangle the boys in her class. Either they disrupted her class by not paying attention or by hitting on her. She didn't like that at all. Adele needed respect, and she certainly wasn't getting it.
So right after dinner, she didn't even bother changing out of her work clothes, she made her way to Hogsmeade. The small village was quiet at night, very peaceful without crowds of teenagers running around and she stopped outside of the Hog's Head, her favorite bar, to admire the few snow flakes falling down from the sky. After a minute, she turned back to the door and pushed it open. She was greeted by the loud voices of the patrons and was stopped more than once by some familiar faces.
She made small talk with them, but the whole time, her eyes kept wandering back to the bar. Adele excused herself and made a beeline towards the bar top. She ordered her drink, all the while having people pressing behind and beside her trying to get their drink orders. Normally it wouldn't be this crowded so what happened next never happened to her before. As she was reaching for her drink, a person near her dropped their drink all over her dark dress. She gasped, looking up at a young man with his wand already out. He was drying her.
"No, that's fine," she finally spoke, her hand grasping her own drink so it wouldn't slip out of her hand. "I'm sure you didn't mean to do it." notes // yay! |

Bartholomew was now doubly embarrassed especially since this patron was incredibly gorgeous, but he did recognize her from somewhere. Although, he did have a slight advantage because he couldn't honestly place her in Hogwarts, but perhaps he was wrong. After all, Bartholomew had been in Ravenclaw during his time there, but what he didn't know was she probably would have been in her sixth year by that time. Shrugging it aside, he then finished drying her off with his wand, and then bowed slightly towards her. "Yes, well you're doubly right, it was a pure accident. I'm sure any other guy wouldn't have cared less, I didn't wish to tarnish your dress. I'm Bartholomew Shacklebolt by the way, pleasure to meet you, Bart for short if you wish," he said slowly to her. Having a slight Indian accent to this tone.
Giving him the exotic appearance of being slightly different than most other auror's his age. Of course, he had forgotten to take his badge off. Indicating his true intentions of being here, but he wasn't about to act like a real auror just then. The paper work outweighed the needs that many faced these days and he hated being overwhelmed with all of the homework they gave them sometimes. Hard enough to keep track of his own shoes when he entered the auror's office, but it was a fun job to him. His father had a major influence on his decision, and now here he was just chatting with a rather beautiful woman. At least for now, this was just a regular encounter.
Bart decided to take a change for a change and knew she probably got this often. At least he was taking initiative to start a conversation as well as boldly state something that many men should have done before him. Most of them around him were just staring at her it looked like, but no, Bartholomew was admiring her pride. It seemed like she was a very strong women, and couldn't easily be swayed which drew Bartholomew's attention more towards her eyes than anything else. Bart's brown eyes soon blinked slightly to give her the respect she deserved, otherwise he would have been staring for too long, "Let me buy you a few drinks to make it up to you, well, only if you want me to. May I ask what your name is, beautiful?" he said the last part rather boldly.
Not many would have come outright, but Bart liked living on the edge in the moment at times. This case was no different.

words // 326 // outfit // clicky // tagged // bart she's the girl, A L L T H E B A D G U Y S W A N T Adele accepted his help, which would not work on any other occasion. She would never accept help from someone, even if it had been the other person's fault. However, she was too tired and distracted to refuse him helping her. Her mind was elsewhere, trying to figure out where she had seen him before. His facial structure was registered in her mind, somewhere, she knew him. But from where?
Before she could even question him about it, he revealed his name to her. Bartholomew Shacklebolt. Of course! She instantly remembered him. The two had never met prior to this, at least, not officially. Adele worked with his father, which is why she was wary of him at first. She took a step back after he was done cleaning her dress and just sort of smiled at him, in gratitude.
"I'm Adele Swanson," she stuck her hand out, waiting for a hand shake, while her other hand held on tight to her drink. "I'm the Divination Professor at Hogwarts."
Her eyes traveled down to his shirt and spotted the badge there. She smiled looking back at him and lightly rested her finger on the bagde. For some reason, Adele felt a bit more at ease now.
"An Auror huh?" she took downed her drink, then placed it on the bar top. She leaned against it, looking over at Bart and shrugged. "I usually wouldn't let my boss' son buy me a drink, but seeing as you are a person of authority, why not?" notes // yay! |

Bartholomew really knew that this wasn't a once in a life time thing but he hadn't been able to discern what she 'really' was doing here aside from meeting him. It had been an awfully long day but he had a few other things on his agenda to do too. It wasn't normal for him to even offer a drink to a friend let alone someone he had just met, but this woman was surely one of the most gorgeous he had seen in a while. Unable to look away from her eyes for a moment, and had a feeling she had every right to be the divination professor. Although, it seemed she had an unparalleled beauty compared to others so he was going to let her know it.
"Well, don't mind my father, it's not like I hang out with a lot him any more since I'm busy with work and he is too. I rarely get out of the office early, I'm just glad to be out of there right now. Although, I'm glad I came here, I ran into an incredibly gorgeous woman that seems to have a rather lovely voice to go with it. Also, I must add that your name is just as beautiful as you are, and as cheesy as that sounds it's true," he said to her as he offered her the drink he bought her, but he wasn't going to tell her what it was. Fire whiskey was something that only Bartholomew drank, but he wasn't sure what Adele drank so he'd just give it a wild guess with a fire whiskey as well.
The stuff could burn your throat, however, it wouldn't get him stone cold drunk just yet. It took at least ten of them, and yes Bart -had- to keep count just to show his partners and friends he wasn't a light drunk. In this case, he was considering doing so just to impress Adele, but he didn't need to do that since he had caught her attention already.
