Usually Scarlett held her NEWT and OWL lessons separately, as each one needed different things for their future exams. However, the lesson today was going to be a special lesson. In fact she had been looking forward to the class since she had first asked the Ministry of Magic permission to teach and show the class about golden snidgets. They were a protected species after all and as soon as the lesson was over she would be taking the creature back to its home where it would stay. No the students would probably never have to come across the creature unless they had a job where they would come in contact with such a creature but it was always good to be prepared for anything. The creature wasn’t particularly dangerous or anything but this opportunity wasn’t going to come along often and she wanted both of her classes to be able to see the snidget.
The November air was chilly and Scarlett was dressed in a warm sweater and jeans. Although it was chilly there wasn’t a need for heavy cloaks yet. It was with great care that she had put the snidget in it’s cage so not to hurt it. After all it was a very delicate creature and she was responsible with it’s safety. And she knew if it got out she would not be able to catch it. After the class arrived she was going to move them into an enclosed space so it couldn’t escape. Now all she could do was wait for her students to arrive. She was excited for the class to begin.
(This class will run from November until the end of term in December. Any student who posts after I post here twice will be counted as late and lose five house points. Any student who is currently on the roster who doesn't show by the end of class will be marked as absent and receive detention. I will try to post every three days. So let's get this class moving!)

It was his first class of the day and he promised himself he wasn’t going to be late this time. Although he wasn’t exactly a morning person so it had been hard to get himself motivated when it was time for him to climb out of bed and get dressed. It was something he was going to have to get used to, after all as each month passed he was getting closer and closer to his NEWTs. It was hard to believe it was November already. Luckily for him aside from wearing the uniform with the hufflepuff crest there wasn’t much effort required in getting ready. Running a hand through his hair he decided it was acceptable enough as is. If anything he could always fix it later if needed.
Taking his bag in hand he made sure all of his things he needed for care of magical creatures before leaving the dungeons. He certainly didn’t want to get almost there and realize he had forgotten something. Dragging his feet across the grounds it wasn’t long before the view of the lake and Professor Evans came within his sights. And it had to be a first that he was the first one to arrive. Still he wasn’t complaining, it was better early than late. ”Morning Professor.” He saw the bird looking thing in the cage and hoped that this was going to be an interesting lesson.
