Running a hand through his dark hair Chase leaned against the wall in one of the many nooks and Alley's in the infamous Knockturn Alley. He was waiting for a fellow auror to turn up. Suprisingly he had been put with Ronald Weasley, really, he'd only evern known the man through stories he had heard and he'd seen him around the office a few times in the course of the year he had been training there but still, he figured it could be worse, and who better to teach the new ones all the ropes than the ones that had been working the job for many years. He yawned as he ran a hand over his face, having already been standing here for a while waiting, and his eyes watched many dark looking witches and wizards go past, not that chase could do anything, they were only here to observe and gather information.
He was huddled under his cloak, his face hidden so people couldnt make him out, and beneath the black cloak (which he hated wearing) He wore all black, his standard work uniform, black jeans, black shirt, hell even black shoes as he hated wearing anything that looked remotly like a suit to him was just, out of the window. He would kill for a drink right now, any drink, though he was fond of muggle soda, he loked the stuff, and he thought about conjuring a can, but he decided against it, thinking it would be too obvious here. Though he reckined him and ROn would head into a tavren, after all, they were the best place to scout information on dodgy wizards. He looked up and saw someone coming towards him, he didnt speak, his instincts telling him to let th eother person speak first, encase it wasnt who he was waiting for.

Though Ronald did enjoy training the new Auror’s in training, he did hate having to go around Knockturn Alley and scout the place. It had always given him the creeps, especially that old lady that he always had to ticket for trying to see muggle finger. A shiver ran down his spine as he made his way down Knockturn Alley, his identity covered up below a black hood. He even used a small spell to change the color of his hair temporally. Something Hermione had taught him since his orange hair always stood out no matter where he went. All he did was darken it to more of a brown, the brown that would match his lovely wife’s hair.
He kept his eye out just in case that woman with the muggle fingers as there again. But so far it looked like she wasn’t there and Ron sighed a small sigh of relief before he spotted a hooded figure in the exact spot that he told Chase to meet him up. Slowly he made his way up to the hooded figure before he took him by the wrist and leaned over to his ear to whisper. “In the office yesterday before we left to go home for the day, what was it that I was talking about?
” if it was Chase, then he would know that he was talking about how Neville had been going off about some new plant he got the other day he was in Hogsmeade with Neville. It seemed that Neville was always showing off his new plants and he was sure that often Neville forgot that Ron wasn’t that interested in magical plants and should bring it up to Hermione instead. Ron’s sapphire eyes surveyed the young man as he waited for his answer. It sure looked like Chase, but the number one rule when it came to being an Auror was to expect the unexpected and that meant expect that the person you are working with might be an imposter using the polyjuice potion. As Chase watched the hodded figure get closer to him he stood up a bit straighter, the hand in his jeand pocked tightned around his wand slightly as his dark eyes followed every movment of the man and as his fingers wound around Chase's wrist every muscle in the mans body tensed, ready to fght him off if it turns out it wasnt the older male who was mentoring him today.
He heard the familiar voice and he relxed slightly, though not a lot, people could change their voices to make them sound like other people and he eyed the man in front of him critically. "You were talking about hoow boring the plant Neville was sprouting off about the day you met him in hogsmeade" He said, a grin forming on his face as he remebed the scene from yesterday, Chase had to admit he kinda felt the same about plants, give him fighting a dark wizard over looking at plants anyday.
"But then of course . . you'd have heard who I was talking about in the office yesterday?" He found it fair that they each asked a question, just to be extra safe, and with times heading the way they were, they couldnt be too careful, a lot of people had it out for the law that the ministry upheld, and that anger was often thrust upon the aurors. If the man was really Ron, he'd know that Chase had been talking about his younger sister Alexis storming about his house in one of her moods the last time she had been home for holidays.
He grinned slightly, raising his eyebrow at the fact this mans hair was brown and not red. "Trying a new look are we? cant say it suits you" He said, his eyes darting to the side as he saw movment, his head didnt move, but his eyes did, and he managed to keep his eyes on Ron, and the wizard scuffling away like he was up to something.

“You were talking about hoow boring the plant Neville was sprouting off about the day you met him in hogsmeade” Ron smiled as he relaxed his grip a bit, his hand on his wand though as he peered out of the corner of his eye just to make sure that no one else was watching the two of them or trying to eavesdrop on them. So it was indeed Chase, and he knew that if he remembered his training, a question would soon be headed Ron’s way. “But then of course . . you'd have heard who I was talking about in the office yesterday?” he grinned a bit more, glad that Chase had been paying attention to his training. “You’re sister, Alexis and the way she stormed around the house this past Summer Holiday,
” he said coolly as he let go of Chase’s arm. In normal situations he would’ve taken his hood down, but they were in Knockturn Alley where they needed to stay “undercover” even if what they needed to wear wasn’t exactly appealing to Ron’s taste. He had dropped his hands to his sides, keeping one still in his pocket around his wand. If one thing was for sure, he knew that he always needed to keep his wand ready just in case trouble were to pop up out of now where. “ Trying a new look are we? cant say it suits you,” Ron chuckled slightly, he would say that it didn’t suit him as well either. “ It’s a spell that Hermione had taught me and I only use it when I need to keep hidden from others. You’ve probably heard that Weasley’s are notorious for their blazing red hair.” keeping his voice down to a whisper he smirked lightly at Chase before he glanced down the Alley. Everything seemed to be a bit quiet, maybe too quiet. But then again they were here to find out that latest gossip that was roaming around the darker witches and Wizards. “ So, seeing as it’s your first time, I’ll let you pick the spot we investigate for the latest snoop,” he said casually, waiting for Chase to lead the way. He just hoped that Chase remembered the names they had given each other to use while they were there. Ron’s of course, was Gary while Chase’s was Nate. Chase nodded when ron answered his question right. He grinned slightly and shook his head. "Little sisters . . think they know everything" He said for good measure, there was nothing in the rule book about having chats while you were working, and besides, it would be a whole hell of a lot easier to get along and do this job. His eyes scanned around, and he looked at ron as he spokk again and he nodded. "Ah . . so it's a good thing your married to a smart woman then?" He said, a wry grin apperaing on his face, evident that he was only teasing the older male in good humor. Chase was like that, he was a joker, apparently, he had been kinda like a class clown in his first year at school, but after his parents had died, he had drawn into his shell, and he had only just started to break out of it again, working at the ministry was helping that.
His eyes glanced around the alley again, he knew where every person walking past, he knew which building they had gone into, and he knew where they were and who was safe to follow. He nodded to a little ship just off the ways. He had seen a hooded figure walk into it, and the man had been the same build and same colored hair as one of the wantet wizards on the wall at the ministry, and he wasnt about to let him get away. Even if they were just gathering information, they could still keep an eye out and observe, find out where he was and what he was buing, and hopefully if they had the means and the motive, which they already had, they would be able to make an arrest and put someone away in azkaban. He nodded his head again.
"In there . . there's someone who looks an aweful lot like . . Vern Delaney" He said, looking at ron and he started to move to the shop, keeping his head down and his hand on his wand, people wouldnt think he was weird for keeping his head down, it would draw more attention in here if he walked with his head high, no one wanted to be caught here, good wizard or bad.
( ha ha some random dark wizard name i threw in there! xDD )

“Little sisters . . think they know everything” Ron nodded in agreement. He knew exactly how that was, his little sister, Ginny, had been that way when they were younger. She still was now, but not as bad as when they were at Hogwarts. He knew how it was to try and look out for your little sister only to find she does the exact opposite of the advice he tried to give her, always telling him that he has horrible advice. “Ah . . so it's a good thing your married to a smart woman then?” again he nodded and added a slight smile as well. He didn’t know what he would do if he didn’t have Hermione. He was sure that his word would turn upside down if he were to ever lose her.
Ronald was watching the streets still, looking for anything suspicious, well anything more suspicious than usual as they were in Knockturn Alley. Anything that went on in Knockturn Alley was pretty much deemed suspicious. He oftened wonder why the Ministry never stepped in to close down the place, perhaps because it was so Aurors, like Chase and him, could go undercover to get the latest school of the Dark witches and Wizards.
“In there . . there's someone who looks an aweful lot like . . Vern Delaney” Ron turned his head to where Chase was pointing to. Indeed there was an awful familiar to the wizard that Chase had pointed out. “Good job at spotting him Nate, let’s go check him out,” Ron smirked before making sure to pull his hood over his face a bit more just in case. The one thing he liked about being able to easily hide his identity by just having a hooded robe on was that it didn’t look suspicious to the people of Knockturn Alley.
