another hard practise out the way, leah found herself in the familiar setting of diagon's alley's infamous leaky cauldron. it was almost amusing how often her and usually her teammates, visited this friendly pub after a team practise. but it wasn't exactly difficult to get to, and the drink was good and at a decent price... and so it was just habit to apparate outside after several hours flying.
as always, leah's limbs ached slightly but she was used to the ache, and for her it just meant that they'd worked hard.. which was good! that meant they were closer to getting to the top. their team worked well together, were going well and she could hopefully see them winning the world cup this year - fingers crossed of course. you never knew what was going to happen in quidditch, which was the fun of it really.
leah took a swig of her third firewhisky that evening, having sat herself in one of the corners to avoid too many people bothering her. most of the teammates had gone home already - a few had stayed for a drink, but many of them now had families to go home to, and as practise had finished late she hadn't expected them to stay long anyway. practise for tomorrow morning had been moved to tomorrow evening instead, so leah had figured she could afford to have more than one drink tonight, and hopefully someone would come along to keep her company. leah was a bit of a wild child - though at 23 she was no child anymore - and she was one of those girls who would put everything into work, but really let her hair down after hours.. and this was what she was doing. she could hold her drink, but with this being her third she was already on the tipsy side as she glanced about and wondered if anyone interesting would take the reacently vacated chair opposite her...

Walking into the leaky couldron after a long day at work, Chase looked like he had walked through a bush backward. His shirt was crinkled, his hair was ruffled and not brushed, and his shirt was half out of his jeans and half tucked in. He had been in a scuffle today with some one practiasing dark magic. He raked his hand through his hair and tried to wipe the tired look off his face and he sighed, his eyes scanning around the bar as he took in the people who were there. He saw a couple of old drunken men who always seemed to be in here, a few ladies that looked like middle aged house witches out with a group of friends but someone caught his eye, someone sitting at the bar.
Before he knew it he was heading over to her, his hand clasping the back of the chair next to her and he slid it out and he dropped into it, his dark eyes moving across to glance at her. She hadnt changed, not since the very first time he had seen her in the halls of hogwarts. Oh yes she looked taller now, she was far more . . developed . . than she had been back then, but he was still feeling the same as when he used to look at her, the feelings bubbling in his stomach as he looked at her, and then the hate started to bubble in him agian, though, it wasnt as strong as it had been when they had broke off what they had had, and even through it hadnt been incredibly serious, he had still been embeeded in it fully, only to have it all end so suddenly. "Well if it isnt Leah Morrison . . " he said, his voice as smooth as it had ever been, his eyes as piercing as always.

leah didn't know who she'd expected to sit beside her... she hadn't spoken to her old friends from hogwarts in a long time - the people she tended to see most of all where her teammates now. not that she was complaining, they were good people and she enjoyed their company, but sometimes she missed the old times. then again, for all she cared a stranger could've sat beside her - it was always good to branch out and meet new people.
but of all people, she hadn't expected him to sit beside her, and as leah glanced to her left to meet the eyes of the man sitting next to her they widened in surprise. "Well if it isnt Leah Morrison . . " she bit her lip and glanced at him, her eyes tracing over his face and feeling a rush of emotions..longing was among them. she missed chase, no matter the fact they'd broken up for...whatever reasons. but the longing was coupled with regret and bitterness.
"chase.." she responded quietly, hesitant and unsure for the first time in a long time. leah was usually a pretty confident person but she had no idea what to say, and she glanced down at her half full drink, taking a swig and finishing it before glancing back toward him. "..you look well." she noted gently, chewing her bottom lip and wondering what had compelled him to choose this seat.
