Jacob really didn't need a reason to do what he did, but he found that he enjoyed hurting people intentionally a lot more than he'd like to admit. Sure, there was some pride in the fact he had taken down a blood traitor a notch, but Olivia surely had chosen a poor time to find a toad. Did Jacob really have to go that far and do that to a Weasley? Hell yes!~ Even in his finest hour, Jacob was sure he'd go down smiling even if a killing curse was used on himself. Surely, he wouldn't want a muggle-born even attempting to kill him and soon thought that if he was ever cornered he'd aim that killing curse spell at himself to take his secrets to the grave.
Perhaps using his own body as a living bomb to take them out with him, but that was a little serious as well as sadistic. Surely a lot of people would die because of his cold-hearted nature. Somehow he doubted Olivia would actually let him pass on to the next live as he vaguely remembered her saying that she didn't want him doing anything against the rules. Whatever, he planned on doing whatever it took to take over this school, even if it meant he had to follow the rules until was over. Even if he was pretending to get along with all of the other Slytherin's in his house that were too nice for their own good like that Potter kid.
Jacob really wanted to take him down a notch and forcefully through any means. OH yes, he was in a foul mood again, however, not so much as to actually attack someone right now. Until he saw a familiar Gryffindor walking by and this time he wasn't going to play nice. Well he kind of had to, but he would use Obliviate again if it got out of hand. Jacob just had to remember to not use any curses that would hurt the poor lad, but he wished so bad that he could injure him. Wearing just a normal blue set of jeans, and a white shirt with a born over-coat along with a black stocking cap to keep himself from getting cold. Soon he was walking towards this said Gryffindor then forcefully turning him around.
"Where are you going, blood traitor? To your mommy to cry to her, huh!?" he asked, realizing he had the wrong one, but still he was shoving around this fourth year Gryffindor anyways. Not like anyone was going to defend the poor bugger, but at least Jacob hadn't attacked him like he had other people.

SHoving his hands into the pockets of the black sweat shirt he was wearing Hugo ducked his head against the wind that was blowing and walked back up toward the castle. He was heading up tht slopes that lead to the womping willow. He had come this way to get to the lake, after all, it was the place he went when he needed to clear his head, it was also where he had met up with his girlfriend Jez, so he was in a better mood then he had been in a while. She did that too him. He kicked a rock with his shoes as he walked, the plain white sneakers kicking the rock easily as he did. He was one for the simple things, simple clothes, simple dates, it was all simple.
Or thats how he tried to keep it now. He tried to be in control of everything now, never being out of control was the answer to all of this, or at least thats what he had been trying for the last week. Being in control of his fears, his work, where he went and for the last part wheat he did with Jez. Though she was cool about it, he and Jez got each other and he knew she was willing to do anything she could to help him through what had happened.
He frowned when he heard something and he looked up from the stone he was kicking and he saw some sixth year slytherin picking on some younger gryffindor student. He had seen the kid around the common room a few times and he looked and shook his head. Walking over he made to step between the kid and the older male. He may have been nervous and jumpy the last few weeks, but there was no way he was going to let someone pick on a younger kid for no reason. And he was fare more inclined to beleive the slytherin had started it.
"You need to pick on younger kids to feel important Warrington?" He knew him by reputation only, h e had heard around the school he was a jerk, and Hugo hated jerks. His hand gripped around his wand and narrowed his eyes at him. "Leave the kid alone . . " He said as he looked at the kid and nodded. He watched the kid start to walk away and fixed his eyes on Jacob again. Something about this guy was irking him off, he couldnt put his finger on it, but there was something about him that pushed Hugo's fears to the side and something else was replacing it.

Jacob was enjoying this as much as the next person until the desired target had walked onto the firing range, and that's the way Jacob Warrington was seeing it at this moment. A snide smirk approached his face, but he wasn't going to take this kid lightly at all, not since that incident when he had erased his memory. Really not fearful of him, but Jacob had a few tricks up his sleeve that couldn't be bothered. "Resorting to violence just cause you can't go kissing your lovely filthy blood traiterous mother today, Weasley? I pick on -anyone- that's related to you or even close to a mud-blood, of course you could become my new punching bag," he said to him.
Amused by the fifth year, Jacob crossed his arms and soon walked around him, not having drawn his wand yet. Even if it meant that he was going to be nice for the moment, Jacob's foul temper would kick in if this -boy- didn't learn his place soon enough. Jacob could already sense there was going to be something bad about to happen, but that made it all the more fun for him. It was slightly egotistical of him to think that he automatically won, but Hugo Weasley was no different from any other wizard. After all, the Potters were afraid of him too, and so were most of the other Weasleys. This little coward was trying to be brave towards him, oh if only he knew why Jacob was smiling so gloriously.
This was like a double jack-pot as he stared at the one person who he had taken down a while back, but no one could do anything to help him back then either. Jacob had to be really careful not to use any nasty spells that would damage the kid otherwise Olivia would scold him again. Never wanting that to happen again, he soon regained his composure and drew his wand. 'So what? Are you going to duel me to stop me in my tracks or are you going to just utter useless threats that won't reach my ears?" he asked, now calling him out, and Jacob was obviously serious as his joking gesture soon scrunched up as his face had a mean, vicious gaze to it.
If he wasn't a student, Jacob probably could have registered at the desk for a serial killer's award.

Hugo raised his eyebrow and scoffed. He wasn't even going to reply to that. It wasn't going to be worth it only speaking words to this sixth year snake. Oh yes, he could talk all he wanted but when it came down to it who was better with the wand was the only one that was going to be able to walk away from this with their head held high. Though no matter who won, Hugo was sure they were each going to leave some sort of mark on the other. He watched him circle and made no move to try and follow him with his eyes, his ears picking up the sound of his feet where he walked so Hugo knew exactly where his body was. His senses had gotten sharper since he had been attacked, he had been working on them so he was confident no one would get the jump on him again. The incident had changed him, he had grown up slightly since then.
He watched as Jacob drew his wand and moved his hand to his black pocket, his hand wrapping around the thing piece of wood that resided in his pocket and his fingers wrapped around it gently and he slid it out of his pocket and held it against his side. "I'll duel you Warrington . . but don't be so sure your going to win" He said with a raise of his eyebrow and a small smirk crossed his mouth. He knew slytherins mainly thought of themselves as the top dogs of the school, the ones who didn't take crap and pushed people out their way when they crossed the, yeah, well that wasn't happening today. Someone had gotten the upper on Hugo a while back, he wasn't about to let it happen again.
In proper dueling style Hugo backed up a few steps, his wand twisting in his hand and his eyes narrowing and focusing on what would soon be his target. He had no idea where this was coming from, the urge to shoot whatever spell he could think of at this snake, and to be honest he didn't really want to fight it, he would just let this play out and deal with whatever came later. He raises his wand and his eyebrow arched just a little as he muttered the words. "So are you dueling? . . or running away with your tail tucked between your legs?" He said, his head raised slightly, his eyes burning with thought and concentration, thinking of what spells he could use, and which ones would work best, and how best to block anything thrown at him.

Jacob was starting to prepare his own dueling stance, and figured this worm no longer deserved words from him after all, Jacob just saw this Gryffindor as a trifling extremity that deserved to be squashed like a bug. Funny as that sounded he wasn't about to get serious with this little Gryffindor until he drew his wand. Then Jacob's eyes narrowed and he was of course grinning. Well, at least Hugo certainly had guts, for a Weasley, and he wasn't going to back off now. In fact, he was already preparing a spell, letting his opponent catch him casting it. Of course, he wasn't going to give him that much time to prepare.
After all, the duel was about to commence, and he wasn't going to be bested, especially since Jacob prided himself with how skillful he was at casting. Surely, many other people that had dueled him were well aware of the fact he could leave quite the punch. Finally he just looked at the Gryffindor in spite of everything that had happened, he was soon closing his eyes and an aura of power surrounded him. Suddenly he was building it up the point he could just shoot it straight forward, but that was all in his head. In reality nothing was really happening, since Jacob's ego was now going to be talking after all.
Hugo was just another pawn that needed to be decimated and he'd be glad to show this worm his place no matter if he got beat or not. Jacob knew how to get down and dirty when it came to it, raising his hand towards Hugo, "Avis! Oppungo!"
[/color] he said. Noting that a flock of birds has suddenly conjured itself from the tip of his wand, and as soon as he said Oppungo, the birds would be heading straight for the Gryffindor. Notes; - Jacob Warrington is attempting to cast an angry flock of pigeons at Hugo using the oppungo spell.
- Dice roll will be made after Hugo's post.

The wand in hugo's hand felt like it was bending to the contours of his hand as he gripped it, the force of his fingers tight around the wood as he moved into place ready to duel the older boy infront of him. His ice blue eyes narrowed, the usual warmth gone from them and the icy glare spille dut of them and had the boy in themiddle of it. This duel would not end well. For one of them. And Hugo hoped that the oosed wasnt him. He wasnt so overly cokcy as some people, he knew he could loose, he just wasnt counting on it.
He hread the spell come out of Jacob's mouth and he watched the birds fly out of his wand, his eyes darting around to try and count how many there were as he heard the reat of the spell spew out of Jacob's mouth Hugo frowned slightly, the corner of his mouth turning down as he did and he shifted his wand slightly and shot his spell at Jacob. "Lacarnum Inflamarae!"
He said as he put all his rage into the spell. His own emotions coming through after everything that had happened to him, and to his family, and he watched as the giant fireball emerged from the end of his wand ad he flicked his wand slightly so it flew at Jacob, and he made to duck slightly in bracing for the birds if they hit him.

Hugo's eyes darted up, the birds suddenly hitting him, all of them slamming into his body. Sure they were small, but they packed a punch and Hugo felt the sting of everyone of them as they hit him, his feet staggerging back as he finally felt the assult of birds stop slamming into every part of his body. He put a han dover his chest where the brunt of the birds had hit him, knowing he would have some whopper bruises when he woke up the next morning. His eyes narrowed on Jacob, and his wand raises again, ready to shoot another spell at the older boy, he would beat him if he could shoot the right spell and hit him right, hugo just had to remeber the spell he had heard his uncle and father talking about the summer before last . . Hos wand was aimed at the slytherin again, his hand gripping it tight as he thought of the one spell that could give him the upper hand in this duel. He hoped. He also hoped that this stayed quiet so that there wouldnt be any trouble over this, though there was no doubt in his mind that if he one, Jacob was going to keep it quiet.
With his wand aimed, the words flew out of his mouth "SECTUMSEMPRA!!" He said, putting more energy into this spell than the last, seeing how his spell had done hardly any damage to Jacob . . it was time to take this up a notch, and there was hardly any chance, hugo was going to loose.
(( hugo weasley is hoping to cut jacob warrington to ribbons tieh sectumsempra ))

Jacob was tired of playing games with this boy and he even started to shake his head softly as if thinking this was a waste of time. One day he was going to get what was coming to him, but he wasn't afraid of this little Gryffindor while he had bigger fish to fry. Lyra was on that list of bigger fish to fry and he was intent on trying this out with the little brat. Perhaps if it hit it would knock him off balance and he was certainly well deserving of it. Surely, he would get what was coming to him as Jacob then frowned slightly as he noticed him putting up a defensive stance.
Then he realized his shirt was on fire, but not enough to cause him to burn, although he did feel the heat leave a small burn on his side that itched in pain. Jacob shot Hugo a death-glare and didn't bother speaking anymore this little annoyance of a bug was going down. Suddenly taking on a serious stance more so than before, his wand raised as he made it look like he was going to put all of his power into it. Then with one word, he shouted out, "EXPELLIARMUS!" as he watched the spell erupting from his wand, and floating into the air. Surely it looked a lot faster when he was wanting it to cause immense damage, but for right now this was the best he could do.
Jacob is casting expelliarmus at Hugo Weasley.

Hugo watched the spell of his fly out of the end of his wand and he watched it, in the split second between him and Jacob casting spells both had passed each other in the middle, and suddenly Hugo was hit. His wand went flying out of his hand, and suddenly he was flying backward, the air whipping past his face as he did, his back slamming into the knobbly trunk of the whomping willow as the branches flew past him to try and hit him out of existance.
His body slid to the floor, his vision going fuzzy as he tried to look at jacob. He had no idea where his wand was, but there was no way he could move now, for two reasons, one because he was sure hitting the whomping willow had cracked a rib of his, he could feel the pain if it being pressed up against a kork in the tree, and two because his wand was no where in sight. Hugo's hand moved to the side as he shifted, and startled yelp rolling out of his mouth as he did and suddenly everything went black . . . as one of the the tree's smaller branches (thank merlin) slammed into him, knocking him out cold.

Jacob was highly amused, yet entertained that this fifth year had come to be target practice for him, and was soon on his way right after a thought. Drawing attention to himself was indeed a bad thing, but the kid had asked for it meddling in his affairs in the first place. Sadly, this wasn't going to end well, and he was sure that the stubborn Weasley kid would try many more tactics to get him to duel again. Perhaps he'd have to watch every corner for the sign of...Hugo, and be smug that he had beat him now. Knowing that the Weasleys and Potters were a relentless bunch he wasn't going to argue with the facts that said that he should leave now.
Glancing up at the whomping willow, he soon shot a spell at one of it's branches to agitate it, and he was certain no one had been watching this whole time. As the tree came to life, Jacob decided to make his exit rather quickly so as not to draw attention unto himself in case anything crazy happened. Noticing the flicker of the branches from the willow in the air as he deftly dodged a side-swipe from one of them obviously knowing who had been agitating it. Jacob wasn't prepared for that one, but he had managed to get away with just a nick to his arm. Not the same nick that Hugo had left on his body. Merlin's beard, did that sting, and he wasn't going to show any evidence of pain on his face.
This time, he had gone away with a loss, but against a fifth year hardly seemed satisfactory to him. Deciding to search for new prey to take his time with, now who was next on his list of people to pick on. Jacob looked once over his shoulder at the stunned Weasley and let out a rather loud laugh at the fact he was going to leave him at the fate of the tree.

Post by JAMES SIRIUS POTTER on Aug 9, 2011 20:25:18 GMT -6
James just happened to be resting against a tree out near the forbidden forest when all he heard was some thumping noise from far away. Sounded as if the Whomping Willow was getting restless, and his hands shoved into his jeans pockets, his coat around his upper half keeping him rather warm. It wasn't all that unusual for him to be wearing the jumper his mom had gotten him for christmas, and certainly not the last time he would wear the red knitted sweater with the J emblazoned on the upper right arm in gold. Licking his lips softly as a cool breeze passed over him, and noticed the tree was indeed swaying quite vigorously as if someone had agitated it on purpose. Now now, what was he to do with that thing, but sadly he wasn't one for staring at the tree for long.
Another thought dawned on him, was there a human in the tree at the lower part of it's branches? James surely certain as he couldn't quite make it out, but he knew the colors of his uniform were familiar as his eyes dawned on who was over there. Finally he shouted out as he saw the whomping willow trying to recover from whoever had decided to agitate it. Noticing a fleeting green figure in the distance, James wasn't able to get a full frontal detail, but the back was enough to note that it wasn't Albus either. That dark hair, it was usually somewhere around the Slytherin dungeons he had seen hair like that, but he couldn't place it.
James could have taken the marauder's map with him at least to figure out who it had been, but that wouldn't solve the problem of the willow. Looking around, he aimed for the branch that would make it somber, and suddenly took out his wand shooting a stupefy at the one weak branch that would still it. Swaying gently in the breeze, it had stopped thrashing completely. Now he soon walked over to Hugo and then pulled him clear away from the tree, soon conjuring a stretcher for him. Then he laid him down on it looking at him. What the hell was Hugo getting into that caused him to get injured so badly. "Wake up, you dolt, what are you doing sleeping underneath the whomping willow?" he asked him slightly as he splashed some water onto Hugo.

Hugo stirred slightly as he felt someone drag him out from under the tree. He flinched when he was pulled, a low groan escaping his lips as he felt his rib throb. He didnt know it it was broken, fractured or what, but at the very least it was bruised, his hand went to his side and he coughed. "w-wasnt sleeping . . " He managed to mumble to the person dragging him. He knew the voice, he just couldnt place it. Well not yet anyway.
He was still coming out of this state of darkness, and it was taking some time to be able to open his eyes and hear right. He shut his eyes again, and as he was being put on a stretcher and he winced at the movment. "ow" . . He said as he shook his head slightly, his eyes flickering open fully as he did.
He suddenly felt the water splash on his face and he jumped slightly, his ice bue eyes flying open at he did and he frowned slightly. "J-james?? . . . i g-gues jacob t-turned tail and ran?" He said with a slight smirk. Well he hadnt hung around long had he, so either he was scared . . or he could have just been bored, and after a moments of careful conclusion he knew it was probably the latter.
"And b-before you go confrotning him again . . it w-wasnt albus" Hugo saod slightly bitterly. He had heard about what James had said to albus after he had been attacked, and even though he had no idea who had attacked him, there was no way it had been albus, or anyone in his family, he trusted them all too much.

James continued to drag Hugo along the stretcher towards the destination he had put up in his mind, and was quite glad he had reached Hugo in time before the whomping willow got him. At least it wasn't a whomping way to die, but the hilarity to his pun was soon silenced by his mind telling him to take on a serious tone at least. If that Jacob Warrington guy did have something to do with this, well he wouldn't keep quiet about it, but he didn't have any more of a lead than before. "Suppose I'll have to keep an eye on him then, it's not like I haven't been looking for a sole person to keep an eye on, but he hangs out with the right crowd at least. I think it's time we dived further into this, but we shouldn't get too nosy," James said to Hugo.
Wanting to get down to the bottom of this he was going to ensure he had all of the Weasley's help and the Potter's more or less. Lily probably wanted to do her own thing about how Hugo was attacked, and Albus had to rely on other Slytherin's while James could just look at the Marauder's map. Such an easy and influential tactical advantage he had over the other two. Now, speaking of Lily, it had been a while since she and him had talked. There was much that needed to be discussed and to get off their chests he was sure. Albus disowning him had hit a nerve that struck him deep to the core, however, it had been slightly uncalled for. Seething with rage he soon started to turn towards the hospital wing after taking those damned stairs.
Making sure to stay at a slow enough speed so Hugo wouldn't go careening down to the bottom and dying a gruesome death like many had before them.

Hugo frowned when he said he was going to look out for Jacob, or keep an eye on him or whatever he was rattling on about. Hugo shook his head and he frowned. Didnt his family get it? Ever since he had been attacked, and even before his family was always telling his older cousins to watch out for their little cousins, and to tell the truth Hugo was getting sick of it. He wanted to fight his own battles, and do things his own way and he was tired of having people shove theirselves into his problems. He groaned and shook his head. "James d-dont . . . I'll keep an e-eye on him . . I'm t-the one he h-has b-beef with . . and i can f-fight my own b-battles . . . w-which apparently . . n-none of you g-guys think i can" he said as he lifted his head off the stretcher and he shook his head slightly. He knew his family meant well, but did they seriously have to do this everytime something went wrong.
He shook his head again and he raises an eyebrow at James. "As much as I'm enjpying being carried around l-like the royalty I am . . . I c-can walk you k-know . . it's my r-rib that hurts . . n-not my legs" He said with a slight roll of his eyes and he grabbed the side of the stretcher and he kicked his legs out of it, hauling himself to his feet and sucking in a breathe as he did, his hand flew to his side and he staggered while he got his bearings, but he got them, and eventually he was stanbding straight and he sighed. "Thanks f-for the lift t-though . . " He said as he started to walk slowly to the stairs. He had been babied far to much latley, with people seeming like they were walking on eggshells around him, hell even his own sister was treating him diffrent, she hadnt teased or bugged him since he'd been attacked!
He looked at James and he stopped when he was on the first step to the staircases that lead to the hospital wing and evething else in the castle and he shrugged one shoulder. "You still g-gonna come? . . m-might be nice to h-have some company w-while i'm p-put back t-together" He said lightly, hoping his tone was as joking as it had been since before the attack. It had changed him, he knew that, he was more cautious now, he was more careful. But he didnt want anything to change still, he wanted to be the old Hugo, and he was trying so hard to make that happen, and what he really needed was his family, to treat him like they had.

"Well you can't blame me if you were slightly out of it," he defended himself as soon as Hugo seemed able to move and get up off the stretcher. James was considering sticking him to it and heaving it up all the way just to prove to him that he could, but he found himself considering what Hugo just said. Surely, their family wasn't any different, after all they were all related now, but he wasn't going to talk to him about what should be done right. Even so, it was Albus that had talked to Hugo last time, but he shook his head. Deciding it was best to leave Hugo to this thoughts for now, but James had to think of why anyone had taken his toad.
Maybe today he would get lucky and find that toad for Hugo Weasley, but he he was certain that he would remember missing his frog. "Hugo, any luck on finding your toad?" he asked as he followed him up the stairs shaking his head at the stubborn kid, not sure whether to call him stupid or dense...but he wasn't any of those things. James knew better than to make fun of his own family members. Roxanne Weasley was certain to hear of this too and all of the other clans out there within Hogwarts since both the Weasleys and Potters were well-known now. Just as much as the Longbottoms, but when he had caught rumor of Montague being within the school walls that could only spell trouble.
James had his suspicions but he didn't know who it was either...even though he did plan on looking into what a few slytherins were up to as he made his way to the hospital wing with Hugo, "Yes Hugo, you can take care of yourself, cause you -were- knocked out for a bit there," he said to him.
