Sierra thought it would have been much harder to get out of the castle than that, honestly, was there no one around at the front door to the castle at this time of night, it wasn't even locked. A small smirk crossed her face as she flitted down the stairs and headed down toward the forbidden forest. Yeah,. she knew students weren't allowed in the Forrest for anything, but hey, it was one of her favorite places to go, and it wasn't like she was scared of anything that roamed in their, she had long gotten over being scared of things that went bump in the night. Running a hand through her reddish hair, she grinned and followed the path clearly. She didn't need to use her wand or the lumos spell this night, it was bright enough from the light of the moon, it was seemingly bright tonight.
She stopped at the edge of the Forrest and she slipped her shoes off, and grabbed the laces and started walking again. She loved walking barefoot in the Forrest, there was something about the soil under your feet that made it feel natural for her, she wasn't sure what it was, but she preferred this to walking along the sand at the beach. She moved to sit under a wide based tree in the middle of a clearing, and as she sat down she could see the fog starting to roll in over the ground. Well that was a little odd, but she didn't query it, things like this happened in the Forrest, whether they were odd or not. It was getting cooler, and while she was sitting she felt the temperature drop a few degree's, not that it really bothered her.
She rested her head back against the tree, and started to wish that someone was with her, someone to talk to, so anyone really. She stifled a yawn and grinned. She pulled the white jacket around her body as the broken wind started to blow through the Forrest, bringing with it the fog, and a few sounds. It wasn't til she heard a twig snap that her head turned to the left and she stood up quickly. She could see something moving through the fog, and she pulled her wand out of her jeans pocket and held it by her side. Whatever was out there, if it came anywhere near her, she would give it the hexing of it's life. She wasn't scared of it, she didn't even falter, until she saw the shape of what looked like a giant spider coming through the fog. And she froze. She wasn't that far into the Forrest was she? She didn't think she was . .

Hector shifted around in his bed, his eyes wide open. He was having a hard time sleeping, and even counting things wasn't helping. Neither was squeezing his eyes shut till sparks danced in front of his eyes. He could hear the tired breathing of his fellow dorm mates. Too bad he wasn't asleep. His eyes burned with fatigue, but his body wouldn't let him sleep. Sitting up, he shimmied into some jeans and slipped his feet into some loafers. Walking shirtless to his dresser, he pulled out a long sleeved black turtle neck and pulled it down over his messy brown hair. Shaking his head, Hec grabbed his wand from the nightstand and left the dorm.
Walking down the steps, the firelight caught his face. Exiting the tower, Hec walked along the corridors. He could get in some serious trouble right now. But if a teacher asked, he was a Prefect, so he could just say he was on his rounds. Shuffling quietly down the hall, Hec decided that he would just leave the castle. What better to do then to get a breath of fresh air? He started into a jog, hurrying to the doors. As soon as he was outside, he took a deep breath of the crisp night air. His lungs filled with it, and it immediately relaxed him.
His feet crunched the grass as he walked along. Maybe it was class work loads that was keeping him up at night. He was studying for his NEWTS, that could be it. Nodding his head to himself, he tried to convince himself that's what it was. But he wasn't buying it. He stuck his hands in his pockets, kicking a rock by the lake. It skipped across the water a few times before landing with a dull splash, sinking to its new forever home on the bottom of the lake.
Far away he heard the crunching of some leaves, and the snap of a twig. His head swiveled in the direction of the noise. Someone was entering the Forbidden Forest... He instantly started walking towards the forest himself, as he had an idea who it might be. He didn't catch up in time to see who it was that disappeared into the trees though. He ended up using his extraordinary sense of smell to find the girl though. Before he could come talk to her, she stood up, startled by the sound of a twig snapping. He stopped where he was, lifted his foot, and saw there was nothing beneath it but dirt. So what had made that sound?
The girl froze in place, and through some sporadic moonlight and some keen senses, he could see it was his half sister Sierra. He burst from the trees and into the clearing, throwing himself in front of the spider. The thing reared back up on its hind legs, it's pinchers clipping past his head as it landed. Hec dodged it and pulled out his wand. "Reducto!" he roared, his eyes knit close together in concentration. He was learning in his classes that with the more emotion you put into a spell, the stronger it was. His spell slammed into the giant arachnid, sending it flying into the trees. It shrieked and retreated into the woods.
Breathing heavily, Hector turned to look at his sister. "Sierra, what are you doing out here? What do you think would have happened had I not just been here?" His voice was worried, his eyes showing he was. She was the one sibling he was the closest to. He loved her and protected her, he watched out for her. And she was almost just spider food just now, which made his stomach do flips.
(ooc: yeah for brother and sister! )

Her hand enclosed around her wand, as she drew her hand from her pocket, her momentray freeze over, she raised her wand with a shaky hand. She hated this, being scared of this thing half her size was annoying her. She was never scared, and yet here she was, shaking at the sight of it. Then suddenly someone was in front of her, and she would have never thought in a thousand years would have folloed her into the forest. Her older brother Hec, what the hell was he doing here!? and protecting her too! . . She didnt need it, or at least she didnt think she did. She could only watch as he fought the beast in front of her, she didnt dare aima spell at the creature, for it could have hit her brother, and for some reason she couldnt bring herself to stp forward.
She shoved her wand back in her pocket and ran a hand through her hair. She hadnt needed saving, and she was sure as heck going to yell at her brother for it. That was, until she looked at him and he opened his mouth, "Sierra, what are you doing out here? What do you think would have happened had I not just been here?" She bit her lip and frowned slightly She couldnt yell at Hec, he was her favorite sibling, and he quite often escaped the firey confines of her temper. "I could have handled it you know!" She said, part of her fire coming through in her voice, though it was toned down. She never wanted to speak of this again, she was trying to make an image for herself, fearless, and not one to be messed with, but here she was, needing her brothers help to deal with a giant spider.
She folded her arms across her chest, and only now noticed she was shaking slightly, whether it be from the cold or the fact she was nearly eaten, she didnt know. But it didnt stop her from trying to cease it. She ran her hand through her hair again and bit her lip. She looked at the ground for a few moment and then at Hec. The words were tasting like vinegar, coming out of her mouth like this, but they needed to be said, after all, he had just saved her life, and at the least a lengthy stay in the hospital wing. "But . . thanks anyway Hec" She said, her mouth turning up at the corners in a small smile. She bit her lip and shook her head. "What are you doing in here anyway? . . thought you stayed out of dark and scary places?" She said ightly, trying to joke about what had just happened. She bit her lip again and looked at him, remebering the fact that the spider had nearly bitten him. . ."Are you okay? . . did it get you?" She said, her voice not really full of worry, but her eyes were. Hec was her brother, and no matter who she was, or what house she was in, she loved him more than her other siblings, because he had always been there for her. regardless.

the moon was almost at his fullest. phoenix could feel it, and she despised that she could. her chocolate gaze watched it's sure, slow descent across the wavering night sky, passing on occasion behind wisps of darkened cloud. her sigh fogged the glass of the window pain, and her head lolled slightly, cold cheek now pressed to the wall as she shifted on her window ledge perch.
she couldn't sleep, she never could when it got closer to the time of the full moon. she never transformed herself, and never would lest a werewolf bite her, but still, the nature of the wolf within her was burrowed deep, and it was the thing that controlled her instincts, her senses; it was the reason she felt that odd feeling whenever she happened to fall across other creatures - sometimes defensive, someimtes offensive, like it were prey. she despised these feelings, despised ever letting the wolf win. sometimes it did.
shaking her head slightly, she swung her legs off the window sill and hopped down onto the balls of her feet, not making a sound that could disturb the sleeping dorm mates - not that any of them would care that she was awake. she never really did sleep very well. was it because a wolf hunted at night? who knew. phoenix had never been lucky enough to have these things explained to her, she could only guess.
she often went wandering during the dark hours, and now was no different as she meandered with no sense of destination about the castles corridors, easily able to pick up the scents of the sounds of any approaching professor and quickly changing direction - gone before they ever knew she'd been there. there were definate advantages to this wolf being.
phoenix bearly hesitated at the great door, opening it just enough for her slim frame to slip through, before pulling it shut behind her and heading on through the grounds. here she felt a little exposed, and the hairs on the back of her neck began to stand. but all was peaceful. a frown caused a crease to appear between her eyes as she caught the scent of two recent trails - both scents extremely familiar to her, though she had hardly spoken to either of them in a while. phoenix excluded herself from everyone as best she could, and sometimes that meant her siblings too - she could still hurt them.
she entered the woods without thought of going there, weaving between trees in a smooth fashion, foot treads silent. she never wished to disturb the creatures of this forest, and she never had before. her chocolate gaze - identical to her twin brothers - fell upon to figures not too far off, shrouded in mist but not invisible through the gloom. it seemeed she'd just missed out on some trouble, and she shook her head slightly, her untamed dirty blonde locks fell about her face with the motion, and she quietly paused behind a tree for a moment, unsure whether to walk away from them, or join them. a question she constantly found she asked herself in concerns to 'the wolf'.
sighing, she decided that for now, she could afford some company, and so she stepped out from her hiding place, allowing them to see her; knowing they wouldn't have before, but possibly the winds may had thrown her scent their way in warning. you never snuck up on a wolf - whether they be full or tainted - but phoenix could handle herself if anything happened. after all, she was one too. " never can keep out of trouble, can you?" she spoke lightly, the words quick and quiet, a hint of a smile on her face as she kept a slightly distance. she didn't mean for the distance, it was just how she'd trained herself to be with everyone and learning of her siblings had still found it hard to break habits.

Hector shook his head. Sometimes his little sister could be so bull headed! Maybe it was the inner wolf. He doubted it though, it seemed like she was always trying to prove herself. He stashed his wand in his back pocket. She shivered a bit, and he supposed that it wasn't from the cold. The spider, although small, had freaked her out for a minute. He took a few steps closer and hugged her. She was clearly defiant of his help, but thanked him none the less. She was a great kid, er, teenager. Letting her go, he watched her play with her hair twice and then cross her arms.
She really was silly tonight. I came out here to think, honestly. Things have been.... difficult lately. It's like the wolf is so restless that whenever I'm tired, or stressed, he gets control." Hec ran a hand through his own shaggy brown hair. His life was very stressful lately. Why, just the other night he'd met up with another Prefect and had lost control, his wolf coming out and taking advantage of her. It wasn't like Hector at all, and he was having a hard time coming to terms with how easy it was for that wolf to come out lately.
He heard the sound of clothing brushing past something solid, and he turned, his nose filling with the smell of familiar blood. He turned and held his arms open wide, waiting for his twin sister to embrace him. She'd been keeping to herself a lot more lately, and even he hadn't been able to find her. She was definitely in a funk and was down on herself. He understood. Around the fullmoon things got intense. And while her secret had been blabbed to the school, his hadn't, so he was safe so far. The same couldn't be said for poor Phoenix.
"Hey sis, you know me! Can't help but stumble into trouble, just like always." He grinned, flashing his pearly white teeth. With the nights so close to the full moon, it was easy to see why she'd kept so quiet while approaching, and why she'd spoken up. She didn't want to spook anyone. You never know. It could happen. Taking out his wand again, Hec conjured up some chairs from tree stumps. Transfiguration was his forte. It just came naturally to him.
Sitting down on his, he put his wand in his pocket and sniffed. He rested his elbows on his knees, his hands woven together. "And now I call the meeting of the half breeds, all rise for attendance," he chuckled jokingly. It really was a meeting though, how else would you explain this? They had all unwittingly met in the same clearing, mostly due to Sierra. They were all here, it was up to destiny to decide what would happen next.

Sierra flinched slightly when Hec moved to hug her but she found she was hugging him back tightly before she could stop herself and keep her distance demeanor up. She nodded slightly when he spoke. She knew the feeling all too well, though for some reason she didnt fight the wolf as much as her siblings did. She didnt care if people knew what she was. She wasnt about to hide because of who she was, halfbloods didnt hide because they were half blood, and she wasnt going to hide because she had wolf blood. It was a blessing and it was a curse, it just happened to differ depending on what time of the month it was. It did help when she was playing quidditch, the quicker reflexes and the better sight she had was great when she had to stop a quaflle from getting through the goals.
She heard the sound of someone aprocahing, and was glad they didnt try to sneak up, because if she had, she probably would have had a chunk taken aout of her or a snarl sent her way. Sierra ran a ahdnt rhough her hair and looked at Phoenix. "Hey Phe . . " She said, the corners of her mouth turning up into a small smile. It wasnt often she showed she was happy to see someone, though Hec was the exception, what ith him being her big brother and all, and besides, he was the person she was closest to out of all the people she knew. She saw the chair conjured and moved to drop onto one before standing up again. "Could learn to conjure pillows too Hec" She said with a light joking tone to her voice. She pulled her wand out of her back pocket and concentrated, sure it took her a little longer to conjure the cushion out of the face of the chair, but she managed it and she made to drop into the chair and settled down onto it comfortably.
She heard Hec and raised an eyebrow. "And who died and made you king?" She said as she leant forward and dropped her head into her hands, resting her chin on her palms and she looked at both her siblings. She bit her lip and shifted back slightly, hearing something move behind them all she turned her head quickly, for fear of the spider coming back and she shook her head and gritted her teeth at herself for being such a coward, she wasnt normally like this, and she was starint go wonder why she jumped when someone said Boo latley. But it want the spider, she could see a branch scraping against a tree and bit her lip and looked back at her siblings. "Nature hey . . gotta hate it . . "

she was unable to help the broad smile as she peered out in the open and her twin brother turned to her, arms wide open and inviting as always. she half skipped up to him, her long legs crossing the ground in lithe dancer-like motions as she made to hug hector with a light smile. Hey sis, you know me! Can't help but stumble into trouble, just like always." she rolled her eyes lightly, shaking his head and causing her long hair to tumble down her back at the movement. "perhaps you should learn otherwise... get out of bad habits and all.." she teased gently, finding herself in a much better mood now that she was among her conrades...her equals. people she could itentify with ... her family.
she pulled out of the brotherly embrace and made to sit upon one of the conjured chairs, not minding the lack of pillow that her sister complained of. "Hey Phe . . " she smiled at sierra. "hey," she greeted in response, sinking back into the chair and relaxing, legs crossing over as she looked at the two of them, watching them sit in turn too. "And now I call the meeting of the half breeds, all rise for attendance," phoenix rolled her eyes and shook her head in mock resignation. "And who died and made you king?" she glanced at sierra when she spoke and grinned. "perhaps we should over throw him?" phoenix joked, shaking her head slightly.
as phoenix heard the noise too she raised her head, the motion sharper than it should have been seeing as she noticed her sister's alertness, and altomatically responded to that. when she saw there was nothing to be worried about - both sure with her eyes, her nose and her ears, she relaxed, looking at seirra. "Nature hey . . gotta hate it . . " she understood in a way... but then again, nature hadn't created them.. had it.. they were purely supernatural.. they were well.. werewolves.. abominations, they weren't natural. nature hadn't done anything wrong ... nature gave most of the beautiful things in life - the forests, the fields, the meadows, the lakes... it could be beautiful, there was no real need to hate it. but phoenix said nothing.

Hector rested on his soft chair, his elbows on his knees, his hands folded. He tilted his head towards Sierra, who made a wise crack comment about how he could have made some cushions to go with the chairs. He grinned. He was only so good! Transfiguration was his favorite subject, but that didn't mean he was a god at it. He just chuckled and shook his head at his younger sister.
He loved her, really. But sometimes she was just silly. He sat up at her comment on who made him king, and he raised an eyebrow, and slow grin settling onto his face. Phe agreed with Sierra, joking about perhaps overthrowing him. He stood up and beat his fists off his chest a few times, roaring. "I am man-wolf! I am oldest man-wolf in clan!" he roared, then erupted into laughter. He sank back down in his chair, glancing at both his sisters. True, he was the oldest man-wolf in the family, but Phe was the oldest period. She had been born a few minutes before him.
He sat back in his chair, leaning and balancing in the back two legs. "Well I guess you guys can try to de-thrown me. But then how much fun would we have around here? he joked. He noticed Sierra get a tiny bit edgy again, and looked off into the forest. He noticed nothing, although he was tired, maybe his senses weren't working right. Hector shoved his hands into his jeans pockets and looked around.
"I guess I don't mind my bad habits. What would I be without them?" he said quietly, thinking of one bad habit he needed to kick. His bushy eyebrows furrowed. He wasn't sure what he was going to do about his 'bad habit'. She was sort of his girlfriend.... She wasn't just someone that he could get rid of and stop talking to.

Running her hand through her hair Sierra's attention was brought back to the present when he brother stood up and beat his chest like the modern day, magical Tarzan. She laughed and shook her head. "Alright settle down then . . Conan" She said, her anxiety about what was behind her slowly seeping away as she relaxed in the presence of her siblings.
Her hair tumbled over her shoulders as she shook her head and chuckled. "I really think he needs to be over thrown . . . allow me to do the honors?" She said, glancing at Phe and tilting her head in question, an innocent smile running over her face as she pushed herself off the chair and started to walk toward Hec.
She reached the chair he was on and made to quickly drop onto his lap heavily. She threw her weight into her back so it would be harder for him to throw her off and smirked. "Theeere! . . your overthrown!" She said as she laughed and looked at Phe. "So . . you agree? . . we should run this show? . . i think us girls would be so much better at ruling the world than our brother here"
She said with a laugh. Of course she was joking really. After all, he technically was the oldest of the pack, well the only boy, and pack rules, in any wolf pack. Was that the alpha male ruled, and they had to follow him. But hey, didn't mean that they couldn't mutiny against him from time to time.
She folded her arms across her chest and tried to look serious. "Okay . . first order of business . . " She said as a smile crossed her face and she nodded. "Right . . sooo . . how have you two been? . . I haven't seen you . . . in forever" She said with a grin. She was happy when she was with her siblings, her carefully carved walls fell around them, because they were her blood, and at the moment, it happened to be her life.
She pulled at the end of her jacket sleeves and pulled her jacket closer to her and wrapped her arms around herself as she shivered from the cold. She was a little odd like that, she felt the cold, where as she knew most of her kind didn't, that and her bare feet touching the ground really wasn't helping..

"I am man-wolf! I am oldest man-wolf in clan!" she rolled her eyes at him and raised her eyebrows. "don't you know.. you should never mess with a she-wolf.. especially an older she-wolf." she grinned and gave a playful, joking snarl. if someone who knew her shy, quiet nature had been close by they'd probably have been surprised about her ability to joke about it. normally phe was very much one to shy from anything to do with her wolf-side.. but sometimes she had to let it go, and when she was with her siblings she could. they were in the same boat - though sierra seemed to embrace it more than phoenix - and so she could joke... she didn't even need to worry about hurting them... they were plenty adapt to fighting back, and seeing as phe wasn't a fighter anyway they would win. possibly. in truth, phoenix had never ever gotten into a fight...
"Well I guess you guys can try to de-thrown me. But then how much fun would we have around here?" phoenix rolled her hazel eyes and looked at him. "oh we won't just try...we'll suceed hec. don't tempt us.." she said lightly, grinning and glancing at sierra as she heard her say, "I really think he needs to be over thrown . . . allow me to do the honors?" she nodded. "be my guest.." and watched sierra saunter over and throw her weight onto hector, effectively taking over. "Theeere! . . your overthrown!" phe laughed lightly at her younger half sister's antics,"So . . you agree? . . we should run this show? . . i think us girls would be so much better at ruling the world than our brother here"
she laughed quietly and nodded, her hair falling forward as she shifted in the chair, now her ears caught hectors words as he spoke of bad habits. she knew what bad habit she needed to kick - her lack of self control when it came to a certain fellow seventh year gryffindor. she couldn't believe she'd allowed herself to loose control like that, and she worried it would happen again. she was sure she caught hector's frown and frowned slightly herself. what bad habits was he thinking of? had he done something equally shameful that he shouldn't have done?
"Okay . . first order of business . . " phe blinked, pulling herself quickly out of her thoughts and looking at her sister. "Right . . sooo . . how have you two been? . . I haven't seen you . . . in forever" phe gave a small smile. okay well she certainly wasn't bringing up cade, or anything of the sort so she played it safe and simply said "yeah i've been good thank, you?" she asked in return.

IT FEELS LIKE SOMETHING TAKES OVER ME
Hec laughed as his youngest sister threw all her weight onto him, all ten pounds of it, and declared that she had overthrown him. He shook his head. His sisters were funny, and always had been. They always cheered him up and brought him out of the most angry of moods. Sierra walked back to her chair and he leaned forward, arms resting on his knees. He rolled his eyes at Phe. She was just a few minutes older than he, but that didn't mean he wasn't alpha! She could be alpha if she wanted. He wasn't sure if it was what he wanted anyways. What he wanted was to be normal.
"Well, we've all clearly stated that we're doing okay. Sierra, you gonna be okay here next year when Phe and I leave? I may or may not come back and try to teach, but you know that you can always owl me." He ran a hand through his shaggy hair, taking a look at his girls. They all looked absolutely nothing alike, even Hec and Phe. They were paternal twins, so of course they didn't. They just shared a birthday. "I will admit that it has been a while since we've been together. We should make it a habit to do so more often. I can see that it has great effects on us all."
Looking around, Hec scanned the trees around him, looking for anything that could put a damper on their moods. He was naive, they were in the forest for goodness sakes. He knew what was in here. Casually leaning back in his chair, he looked between his two favorite girls. It was great to be here. He could see them both relaxing and knew that he himself was feeling better, being in the presence of his own kind, without hiding what he was, without the stresses of life all around him. Hector's eyes lowered, and a state that can only be described as half asleep, came over him. He rubbed a hand down his face, then blinked a few times to get the sleepies from his eyes.

Sierra shrugged her delicate shoulded and nods. She had been okay, she had been a bit distant on purpose, and she always was around the full moon, not that it was her fault really. It's just who she wasnt, she wasnt all, happy and peppy like a lot of the girls in the school, and most of the time she preffered to be alone, it was just who she was. And there was nothing wrong with that. Though when she was with her family it was like she was a whole other story. She relaxed, lightened up and he mood became brighter, when she wasnt about to become spider food anyway. She grinned, and flashed her true smile at Phe and nodded. "I've been okay . . bit bored and all . . but hey . . we cant all lead interesting lives . . . can we hec?"
She said, and she raised her eyebrows at her older brother. She had heard what him and little miss Maharet had been up to or what some of the students thought he had gotten up to with her, she wasnt stupid, she didnt partcipate in gossip, but she sure as heck listened to it. Wanting to know what was being said about her or her family, though she didnt mind much about people bad mouting her, but when people dragged her family through the mud, well that raised the hairs on the back of her neck and she turned volatile. She smikred slightly and ran a hand through her hair and raises an eyebrow at his next statment.
"No . . No I'm not going to be okay when you two leave . . I'm going to break down into tears and cry all day when your gone" She said as she rolled her eyes. It wasnt like she was going to be in trouble or anything, she had enough standing to be okay in the school, most people knew not to mess with her, so she would be okay. "Of course I'll be okay Hec . . " She said as she stood up and moved over to him. She knew he was just being protective, and she couldnt fault him for it, she was the same with him and Phe, she'd do anything to protect them, she just would never let them know it. She made to shove him over slightly in the chair she was sitting on and made to wrap her arms around him in a hug. "But thats for your concern Heccy" She said with a smile, going to kiss his cheek in a sisterly way.
She really did love her sliblings, and she let them know it when she wasnt in one of her odd moods, she was thinking it came with the territory of being a wulfe, or just a wolf in general, he smile spreading slightly as she leant against Hec's side, happy right now. She felt Safe while her siblings were around. "Are you going to be okay withot me while your out there having fun and I'm stuck here in this school?" She said, with a smile as she looked at Phe and held her hand out. yeah, she knew it was odd. In a mattr of minutes she had gone from cold, to distant, to warm and then to what some people would call midly affectionate but her siblings knew her, she was prone to change moods quickly, but at least this time she was going from bad to better. "Can I have a hug from both of you? . . It really does seem like ages . . and it's too long since we've seen each other" She said as she saw Hec run his face and she grinned. "awwwe . . is the alpha wolf tired . . falling asleep in the middle of a family meeting . . I dont know . . that deserves a punishment . . dont you agree Phe?"
