Ivan wasn't sure if this was a good thing or a bad thing to actually have asked her for a walk, but he doubted that it was. Even if it was a little chillier out than usual, Ivan had brought a scarf with him and of course had obviously donned those thick robes that would indeed keep him warm. Putting on a stocking cap, he soon had on some black gloves as if he had prepared for this to happen, but the school was a lot chillier than usual too in the hall ways. Luckily the clothes were easily covered with the Hogwarts robes during the winter, and he really didn't want to catch a cold at this time of year. Finally just looking over at her books with a strange fondness that he knew all too well.
Looking around as he gripped Arielle's hand, and felt her soft skin again just wanting to hold it against his own chest. Which he did without thinking for a moment, letting her hand rest there until he then let it go blushing deeply having to apologize right away for that. "S-sorry, I just couldn't help it, your skin is so soft and it makes you have this glow about you no matter what you do," he admitted finally. As if he was admiring her from afar, but really he was just doing it up right in front of her eyes. Acting like a gentleman was definitely not his forte, but you had to be lucky to even come across one now a days. "So, anyways, where are you from if you don't mind me asking, and I'm guessing your a sixth year or seventh?" he asked.
Just getting some small chat out of the way as he started to walk away from the library thinking that he had to agree with the way she locked her books there since you would never know who might take them. Then another thought crossed his mind, "Oh damn, I almost forgot, did you bring anything with you that you could wear outside or are you just fine in your robes?" he asked her curiously.

Arielle hadn’t thought at all about going outside on this day. It was chilly… maybe that was part of the reason that she subconsciously decided to work in the library, and the reasoning behind her wearing a dress? Well, the cold didn’t bother her, judging by where she grew up. Norway was in the north, and she was no stranger to cold… she just much preferred studying where there wasn’t a chance of an ice cold chill running up your spine while reading about pogrebins. She wasn’t very superstitious or anything, she just much preferred reading inside during the cooler months, even if it was in the dusty library. That was reasonable, right?
Arielle blushed a little when Ivan took her hand in his own. She glanced down at it for a moment before blinking up at his face, a small sheepish smile appearing on her lips. She glanced down at her books one last time before she felt the skin of her hand on… what? Arielle furrowed her brow and then looked over at Ivan, and he had her hand pressed to his chest. Immediately though, as if he could feel the awkwardity, he blushed and quickly let her hand go, to which she dropped it, looking back at her books to avoid Ivan seeing her own blush, only this time the blush was out of awkwardness. When he apologized, the sheepish smile returned once more, her eyes staying locked on her books. She feared if she looked at him, it would make refraining from blushing even more difficult. ”Oh.”
It was a bit amusing to Arielle that Ivan had asked where she was from. Not because she looked like she wasn’t british or anything… just that she had just been thinking about it. ”Oh, originally I was from Norway. My life story is rather complicated, so I just like to tell people that is where I am from.” Arielle paused looking down at the worn floor, a light blush across her cheeks. She didn’t like telling people her complicated story, because it just so happened that Aurelie Ekern was undeniably insane… even though she herself wouldn’t admit it. ”And I’m a sixth year,” she said calmly. Surely Ivan was a bit older than her… since she couldn’t recall him being in any of her classes. Not that it mattered, of course. Arielle followed along with Ivan’s path out of the library.
To be perfectly honest, she hadn’t at all thought about going outside… hence the way that she was dressed. ”Oh, I do suppose that would be… one moment.” Arielle shoved her bottom lip into her mouth and bit down, hard, and faced the direction Ravenclaw tower was in before accio’ing herself a pair of earmuffs and a pair of gloves. Her legs and such would be fine; when the things came sailing through the air: blue earmuffs and matching blue gloves, she turned to Ivan and smiled. ”All set.”

Ivan soon just considered himself lucky that he didn't have anything else to hide from her, but as for Roxanne, well now he was having conscience issues as he realized that hanging out with Arielle meant he was betraying her a little bit. No, he wasn't going to flirt with her anymore, and what good was a little harm-less flirting in the long run as he finally just glanced over towards her. Walking towards the exit of the castle as he made sure her books were just fine, and attempted to see if this was even remotely the right way to the spot he had designated for a hang out spot. Even just walking was good to get the nerves settled while he then glanced at Arielle.
Leaving her hand alone, he just kept his own to himself, not wanting to touch hers anymore out of concern for his own safety as he didn't want to incite a wrath that he would be unable to quell. Ivan knew fully well first-hand what women could do when they had their panties all in a knot and wanted nothing more than to gut you. Finally getting that idea out of his mind he was just enjoying the brisk cool air of November, seeing the first hints of a snow-fall near him, but he doubted that it would take too long to actually finish snowing too. Even as snow-flakes cascaded down onto his hands he looked up at the sky.
"Alright good, let's go, and wow it's sure coming down now," he added lightly as he walked through the snow, letting his foot prints stay where they were until she would inevitably walk over them too. Chuckling slightly at that thought, but kept to himself mostly as he just headed towards the whomping willow.

Arielle pulled and set her earmuffs atop her ears and pulled her blue gloves over her delicate fingers. The walk from the library to outside was rather short… however it was a quiet walk, and it gave Arielle time to wonder why she was doing this again? Well, not again in the sense that she’d already done it, but in the sense that, she was asking herself as second time. The Ravenclaw glanced up at Ivan who had a sense of where he was going… Arielle wished she knew at least. But then again, she was still stuck on why she was tailing him, earmuffs on and gloves upon her hands.
Arielle didn’t like boys! Well, she did! But not in the sense that you would think.. They were good friends and sometimes great study partners, but they could be annoying and always thought they knew best. Arielle didn’t think that she would bother herself with dating or spending time with a guy because they were usually only after one thing! No one had ever told Arielle what that “one thing” was, but she’d had an inkling. And really, she didn’t want to think about that. So why was she walking now, a few feet behind none other than... a boy?! She didn't know... but it felt like she... actually... wanted to be there... Arielle tucked her hands into her pockets and followed him, watching the heels of his feet so she wouldn’t trip over them or wouldn’t lose his trail.
Wow, she sounded like a stalker.
When they finally got to the door, Arielle glanced up into the sky as Ivan spoke. Snowflakes were falling from it, gently hitting Arielle on the face and causing her eyelids to flutter a little bit and a smile to appear on her face. She wasn’t really one for snow… she was definitely a summer girl. However, she much preferred the first snowfall of the season to the first rainfall, and snow itself over being one-hundred plus degrees outside. Aside from the weather details, snow was just beautiful, and Arielle quite liked the way that it sparkled.
It wasn’t snowing very hard, but there was already a blanket of it covering the grassy grounds. Arielle sighed, wishing that she’d worn some longer socks, or even a pair of pants. It wasn’t the cold getting to her… it was just, why wear such things while it was snowing? Then again, Arielle didn’t know it was going to snow. She took her dainty little steps, trying her hardest to follow and step in Ivan’s larger footprints. At least that way she would get less snow in her shoes. And then she realized where they were headed. ”The whomping willow?” her statement sounded like a bit surprise mixed with suspicion… but she wouldn’t say any more of course. She could be quiet if she wanted… she was quite good at that.

Ivan realized he must have strayed off his original course and was rather flushed now at this. Deciding to take another course of action that was rather brash and rather odd for him to do. Finally turning back around, he looked behind him, and tried retracing his steps. Now he was walking past the whomping willow way out of it's range to near the Forbidden forest, deciding to stop short of it as he looked at the tall immense trees. Yes, it was death to walk in there, well, that was what Ivan thought, but he usually normally never ventured in there alone. Acting brave was one of many Gryffindor's main traits, but he considered himself too chicken to actually even take a step into it.
Chuckling at his own nervousness, he soon just shrugged that aside while she questioned him about taking her to the whomping willow. Ivan really didn't want to admit that he was lost and trying to find that Gazebo that was said to be around here. Looking across the lake, he saw a strange white gazebo, the same one he had been told about, cursing himself silently. That was a romantic spot, but it was a good thing he got distracted from it now that eh thought about it. Thoughts went back to Roxanne Weasley once more, and it wasn't like she announced they were girlfriend/boyfriend yet. What did it matter if he had thrown a few harmless flirts Arielle's way.
Obviously the girl was beautiful, but then he spoke to her as he settled to finding a nice tree with a bunch of shade underneath it where the branches of the tree actually caught the snow so it was bare underneath. Not anywhere near the whomping willow as he patted a seat beside him, "Yes, that's funny, I don't remember the Whomping Willow being here, they must have moved it, or I sort of lost my sense of direction," he admitted, blushing slightly. Just a little ashamed that he had indeed forgotten where the gazebo was. Not wanting to mention that to her obviously, but they did have a pretty view of the lake that was just slowly being covered with a sheet of ice.

Arielle followed along behind Ivan in his different courses of direction. She didn’t know where he was going, or what he was thinking at that moment, but it didn’t much matter. She wasn’t in the library studying (gasp!) but she was doing something that she preferred doing: being outside. It didn’t matter the company, in fact, Arielle preferred being outside when she didn’t have any company whatsoever. But, it did make for a good time when there was someone along, someone nice, that you wouldn’t expect to make a friend out of… well, Arielle didn’t expect to make a friend out of a Gryffindor, because she assumed they were all like her brother. Ivan didn’t seem that way…
As she followed Ivan, Arielle let her thoughts wander about. Something that she wasn’t used to doing… but then again, normally she had a book in her hands or a spell on her mind that she was supposed to be practicing. Not today, unfortunately. So, wander her mind must. She wondered what year Ivan was. He had asked her, but she had been rude and hadn’t returned the favor… nor did she know exactly where he was from, which he knew her… Oh, Arielle felt silly for not returning the question! But then again, at the time it didn’t seem like something that was of dire importance. And then the last question that came to her thoughts. How did he pick her out of the entire library?
There were plenty of girls, plenty of Ravenclaw girls, as per usual. But Ivan had chosen her, sat next to her, and talked to… let you guess, her. Arielle had just been minding her own business, doing her own thing… reading, or rather skimming the chapter of Transfiguration that she’d already read a few times prior. The girl hadn’t even thought too much of her appearance, because she knew that she would probably not be approached and would be spending a boring day in the library, studying of course. Not talking to boys! Had she known that she would be talked to by a boy, she more than likely would not have worn a dress! But then again… dresses were all that she wore… so technically she would have had to.
When they finally arrived at a place, a tree that had captured the falling snow in his branches, Ivan sat, and when he pat the ground, Arielle followed suit. This part of the grass wasn’t touched at all by the grass, and it made the girl smile. Snow was nice to look at but not nice to be outside in… but then again, she did know magic and she could just do a drying spell or even a warming spell. ”It happens…” she said quietly, unsure of what to say or do next. ”I completely apologize for being so incredibly rude earlier… I forgot to ask you what year you were… and where you were from. You had asked me but…” Arielle giggled slightly, awkwardly. Never was she one to talk so much!

Ivan was totally and utterly clueless as to where he was going for a moment again. Really not liking to admit the fact he literally was lost, especially in front of an incredibly attractive Ravenclaw that fancied him. Or at least he read that in her eyes a little, but it was only a hint. Not something to go off of due to the fact that he couldn't usually tell from one's eyes, but he had to look for other tell tale signs later on. When he wasn't attached to someone else, he'd probably pay more attention, but right now he was more intent on showing her this place. Even as he had firmly sat down with her approaching him to sit down beside him he gave her a little more room than was needed.
Ivan thought it made him look a little uncomfortable around her at first, but realized he had done what made sense to him. Surely, other people could understand that he didn't like being too close to someone he barely knew. Even if she had told him her name, that totally didn't make it acceptable for him not to say anything about himself either. Deciding to make a rather encouraging statement, he decided it would be best not to. More likely it would just sound like another flirtatious comment that he didn't mean or something along those lines. Worthless flirting wasn't going to get him what he wanted, but he could at least say he was the charmer of the school making girls pine after him. Then treating them like they were just first lovers that were never meant to work out.
No, he wasn't that cold-hearted, and now he spoke, "I'm a seventh year and I was raised in Godric's Hallow, just sort of happened that way I guess....but it was fun growing up near other wizarding families. Get to meet some interesting people too," he stated towards her. Soon smiling warmly.

Arielle looked at the ground around the tree as the pair of them sat, and she pulled her dress a little further over her legs, both crossed delicately. She pulled at her socks nervously, not really sure what to do at the moment. Arielle really wasn’t the type of girl who stopped studying to go hang out with her friends… and to think about it technically… she’d only just met Ivan. Could she really consider him a friend? Well, he was nice to her it seemed, and he… well, he’d picked her table out of all the tables full of Ravenclaws in the library. Then again, he may have just been lonely and just wanted someone to talk to… Arielle sighed lightly.
The way that Ivan was sitting… well, it wasn’t his position. It was more of the fact that he was a little distanced from her. Arielle didn’t mind of course… he didn’t have any reason to sit right next to her. She just thought it a little odd… but then again… everyone likes to have their personal bubble. The Ravenclaw shrugged it off and looked up at Ivan with a light smile as he started to talk. Good, she had thought… the silences were killing her as she wasn’t the most amazing conversationalist herself.
”Ooh, that sounds lovely. The place I grew up didn’t have many magic families… But… Godric’s Hollow? I live there now… with my eldest brother and my younger brother. Do you still live there? I feel like I would have seen you…” And now she was chatting away as if she and Ivan were old friends. Yes, a blush was creeping up onto her cheeks.
Notes; I am really, really sorry for taking so long!

Ivan really had to be careful in case word got out that he was falling for another lady that wasn't quite exactly what he expected. Although it wasn't unusual for him to fall head over heels for another women, but he wasn't going to be led like some stray puppy to it's master. No, not this time, and he had plans to see that he wasn't set in a trap to keep him for herself. Not that she was planning that, but he made it up in his mind to see this as a joke. That actually made it easier to hang out with Arielle, and not have to worry about staring too long into her eyes without blushing deeply. Surely, if a man complimented on her eyes, she would have shown insane gratitude but this wasn't the case here. Rememering the comment from earlier.
Even as they sat there content with the breeze whistling throughout the area, but he didn't like silence at all. In fact that was one thing he despised about many of the Ravenclaw's he normally hung out with was silence. That one word in itself could actually kill a conversation used the right way, but he was glad he hadn't heard it used too often since it would have caused quite the scene. A chuckle left his lips at her comment as if it were a joke, but he shook his head softly in thought. Soon he decided to respond to her after she had said that. Ivan vaguely wondered if she even cared about his life story in the first place, but it seemed he had struck a nerve home when he had mentioned Godric's Hollow. Funny that so many people lived there, but it seemed to him that he had much more to learn about this woman beside him. Ivan wasn't going to call her a girl as she seemed too sophisticated to be just a girl.
Then again she did have a rather mature look to her, but he soon spoke in return, "I'm sure I would have noticed such a beautiful woman by now, who dresses extravagantly without showing too much...and would have wooed her since then. Although, much can't be said about my family, I'm only a half-blood, not that it matters, but anyways we probably have. I'm just usually busy living life and running around the town or out with friends during holidays...what about you?" he asked her, passing off the comment as if it was not even a flirtatious attempt. Ivan obviously just thought it was a normal thing to point out, but he knew that some part of it about her was true though. Arielle -is- beautiful to him.

Arielle was just starting to feel a bit awkward. Well, not because Ivan was making the situation awkward… if anyone was making it awkward it was her. She didn’t really know what to say or what to do… And she wasn’t the most vocal of people. In fact, sitting there with Ivan and the snow falling around them was not typical Arielle at all! She really didn’t have many friends because everyone thought she was too good for them. That really wasn’t the case… Arielle wouldn’t admit this herself, but she was a lot nicer than a lot of people that she knew. No one gave her a chance. The fact that she preferred to stay in than go out and the fact that she wasn’t very loquacious lead to everyone thinking that she was stuck up and was too good for them. Not true.
After she had spoken, Arielle was a little taken aback by the fact he had just laughed at what she had said. Did she say something wrong? Well, she had just been trying to make conversation… due to the fact that was the point of their little gathering, wasn’t it? To get to know one another better for friendship? Surely that was what was going on. But then again, Arielle was the type that preferred to listen rather than to talk… so hearing Ivan’s story would be quite interesting to her. Arielle liked learning new things about the people around her. Or anything at all really… Arielle just liked to learn, if that wasn’t obvious. So now, as Ivan had decided to speak, responding to her comment, she listened with interest.
”Oh… well, I don’t get out much. I prefer to stay inside… occasionally I will go to the store for things… when necessary… Wow I just sound incredibly boring now,” she blushed lightly, giggling. Yeah, Ivan was surely going to think she was quite odd now… she just didn’t have a lot of friends. Surely if she had friends she would have gone out… Arielle had a tendency to not be able to say no. ”But yes, that explains it.”

Ivan was just sitting there, casually glancing over her form whenever he knew she wasn't looking again, and was wondering how she felt about a guy looking at her like that. Even in his own mind's eye, he knew this was going to cause trouble if he had any connections with any other girls. Yet here he was out underneath this tree keeping warm with a very pretty brunette, which he's said many times to himself before. Now averting his attention towards the ground, he noticed that the light traces of snow following were disappearing easily as if it was too warm out for even the first snow-fall to hit the ground. Amazing as it was to just stare in silence at the ground as he listened to her speak.
That angelic voice rang in his ears to wake him up, and he promptly sat up when she was talking to him again, what were you thinking?, before he soon turned to raise an eyebrow in her direction. Ivan was just amused that she thought that it was simple, but to him, her whole world was interesting especially if he could just force his way into it. Barging through walls and pretending he was a ghost while realizing how human he honestly as. Desiring to hear more of her voice, it was time to ask another question he thought vividly. Even with his own desires being put to bay now, he soon nodded with each word she said.
"Even if you say there isn't much to learn about that, but I have already learned quite a bit from you. Honestly, I wasn't expecting you to be so fun, but I'm glad I was wrong. Although, I always believe in the philosophy, you can't judge a book by it's cover. Same rule applies no matter if you're visiting the muggle world or not," he said to her, smiling warmly. Showing a brief hint of wisdom on his part, but he sometimes found it annoying when those quips came out of nowhere.
