Rummaging through his book bag Hugo pulled out the parchment and leaned back against the bookshelf as he looked out the window of the library. It was hard to come to the library, he tended to get distracted easily, and hence why sitting by the window was a bad idea. He dropped his head back against the hard covered books and watched the people down by the lake and he ginned slightly. They were like ants, so small, and so easy to squish. He bit his kip and looked away from them again, back to one of the book shelves and reached behind him to grab the book he needed for this parchment he had to write, he wasn't looking forward to the assignment. It was about Memory spells, he had to tell how to differ them from each other, as there were many.
And since something like it had happened to him two weeks ago, it wasn't something he was looking at as a good thing. Though, it might help him peace together things. He could hear the buzz of the people talking in the library, he could hear the voice of someone he knew somewhere but Hugo was in hiding, he had been for a while. not wanting to talk to people or be around anyone except for his girlfriend Jez. He sighed and opened the book, getting lost in the pages and the words until they all became a blur. He read until the words ran together, all a jumbled mess in his head and he snapped the book shut and dropped it onto the table next to him. Running a hand through his golden blond hair he looked at the window and frowned slightly, he saw the darking of the sky, and frowned again.
He hadn't been sitting there that long had he? He couldn't have . . he could no longer hear the buzz of noise from the other students and reckoned it was about dinner time. He yawned and shook his head slightly. He would head to the common room after this, he didn't feel like eating tonight, it seemed like too much effort, and too many people graced the great hall right now. He gathered his parchment and shoved it back into hie bag, knowing he hadn't written everything he could have down but it would have to do. Leaning back against the shelves he looked back at the window and stretched his legs out so they rested on the shelf across from him and looked out the window again. He was away with the fairies that much that he didn't hear someone walking up beside him.

It still annoyed Albus and it perhaps always will. What is annoying him you ask? The fact that his brother, or his ex-brother James, seeing as he feels like disowning James, had accused him of attacking Hugo. Why in the world would Albus even consider to attack Hugo? Hugo was like a little brother to him. But it seemed that Hugo had been avoiding him. Perhaps James told him that he’s blaming Al and decided to avoid him? He really wished that he could fix it, if that was the real reason, but it seemed that it was hard to find the young Weasley.
So now Al was in the Library looking for books to write an essay instead of being down at dinner. He didn’t want to be in that crowded mess, at least that was how it had been for Al lately, never wanting to be near crowds. He had been stopping at the kitchens on his way down to the Slytherin Common Room lately to get something to eat and finding a quiet place to eat it. Be it the common room or in an empty classroom. He really hadn’t even been around Scorpius or Thersea lately, the two of them always working on getting ready for the tasks. Sure Al helped them out from time to time, but he couldn’t help, but feel like a third wheel lately.
And then, as Al began to walk down one of the aisles, he saw Hugo. Finally a moment of opportunity to talk to the young Weasley boy. But he wasn’t surprise to see that Hugo hadn’t noticed that he was there as well. He would’ve been the same way had he been the one to get attacked. In fact, he was like that a lot when he sat there thinking lately, thinking about the fact that he wished he knew who attacked Hugo. “Hey Hugo,” he said with a warm smile once he was standing next to Hugo and looking down at him. “Trying to get some homework done?”

Deep in thought, Hugo hadnt heard his older cousin walk over to him. He quite often zoned out now, seemingly thinking, more often than not escaping. He jumped a mile when Albus spoke, his heart felt like it was going to come out of his chest and his head snapped in the direction of the cousin, he though of his more as his older brother really, since he didnt have an older brother. He ran a hand through his hair and let out a nervous laugh.
"Hey Al . . . sheesh . . trying to give me a heart attack?" He said, trying to add some humor and cover up the fact he had been scared. It wasnt something he really wanted advertised after all, since he had been telling people he was fine after what had happened, and usually people saw through his charade, though he reckoned if any one wouldnt, it would be Albus.
He glanced down at the parchment and shrugged. "Trying to being the operative word" He said and he bit his lip. "It's about . . memory spells . . and the effects of them . . kinda ironic isnt it . . maybe what happened was to prepare me for this very assigment" He joked lightly, the hint of a smile forming in his mouth. He sighed and leant back against the wall and he twisted on the table so he was looking at Albus better and he folded his legs underneath him and grabbed the parchment and promtly screwed it up.
"Was badly written anyway" He said as he went to sohe the piece into his bag. Working on the project was freaking him out a little though, it brought back, well the feelings of being attacked, he couldnt say memory. because that was gone, lost somewhere thanks to someone's work with a wand. He looked up at Albus. "What're you doing here? . . I thought dinner would be on now . . " He said as he looked at the big clock on the wall of the library.

“Hey Al . . . sheesh . . trying to give me a heart attack?” Al titled his head slightly as Hugo spoke. It seemed like he was hiding something, but Al ignored it, he figured Hugo was still a bit jumpy from his attack, but Al wasn’t going to say anything about it. Instead he pulled a seat up beside Hugo and looked at the essay he was trying to work on. “ Trying to being the operative word. It's about . . memory spells . . and the effects of them . . kinda ironic isnt it . . maybe what happened was to prepare me for this very assignment.” Al frowned slightly, he didn’t think someone would modify someone’s memory just to prepare them for an upcoming essay. It seemed hardly reasonable in his opinion. He then watched as Hugo now crumpled up his piece of parchement. “ Was badly written anyway”. Al thought that perhaps the essay was bugging him, he highly doubted it was badly written.
“ What're you doing here? . . I thought dinner would be on now…” Albus smiled at Hugo. Perhaps the two of them were doing the same thing, hiding out. In a way they were alike when it came to not wanting people to bother them. “Hiding out, you could say. People have been bugging me lately so I’ve been skipping dinner lately, instead I visit the house elves when I become hungry,” he said lightly as he leaned back in his chair thinking of the house elves. He really did like the little guys; they were always so friendly and cute. “Besides, Theia and Scorp are always going on about the tournament and how they should prepare for it, it’s getting kind of annoying feeling like I’m left out… And I don’t want to run into James either, he’s just been a real nuisance lately, more than usual,” he sighed softly before sitting back up. He knew that things were bugging Hugo as well, but he figured he’d wait until Hugo was ready to say it himself.

Hugo grinned lightly as he shook his head at what his cousin was saying. It really did sound like they were doing the same thing. Hiding out from things they didnt want to face, Hugo was too used to it right now. He ran his hand through his blonde hair and shook his head. "Sounds like me at the moment . . man those elves can whip up a great hot chocolate" He said, the grin spreading across his face again as he did. He relaxed slightly, not so scared of being around his cousin as he thought he would be. He wasnt bugging him or annoying him or asking him questions or fussing over him as his parents had been doing since the accident. He was still getting tired of his mothers constant owls and his father checking up on him regularly.
He heard Al mention the tournament and he frowned slightly. It was still sore he hadnt made it, he had wanted to see who had been pulled out of the cup, he had known a few of his family members had put their name in the cup, he hadnt though he couldnt really think of a good reason why. But anyway he shook his head and looked at him. "sorry you didnt get picked mate . . I was hoping you would . . Too bad James did though" He said lightly, the hint of joking in his voice, it was laways their when he teased his cousins. "He's got a big enough ego already" He said as he slid into the desk and dropped his head back against the books. He looked over in the direction of the doors as something dropped loudly behind them. And all his good feelings went out thw window, to be replaced by solid fear.
Hugo jumped a mile when the noise clattered through the library and his hand went to his wand out of instntic and fear. His chest was moving quick as his breathing sped up and he looked around for the source of the noise his head whipping around to try and find it and then he saw Al. He frowned and shook his head. "Sorry . . " He muttered as he tried to get his fear under control and he trembled slightly as he stuck his wand back into his pocket and shook his head. He sighed and looked back out the window, and away from the look on his cousins face.

“Sounds like me at the moment . . man those elves can whip up a great hot chocolate,” Al smiled at him, it seemed the two of them had a bit in common at the moment, despite being in different houses and he was a year older than Hugo. They both were avoiding things, wishing that the feeling would just go away when in reality it probably wouldn’t until they faced up to it. “sorry you didnt get picked mate . . I was hoping you would . . Too bad James did though,” Al shrugged lightly, he would have to get used to the fact that his two best friends got picked and he didn’t. Now he was really feeling like a third wheel and there wasn’t many others that he would actually hang around. Rose was always busy with Quidditch or teaching Aubrey how to fly and Hugo just seemed like he wanted alone time lately which Albus respected of him. Dunstable was also working on getting ready for the tournament as well, so that didn’t help matters much either. “He's got a big enough ego already,” Albus nodded in agreement. James really did have a big ego nor did he hold back showing it, it was one of the most annoying things about James in general.
And then there was a crash behind the two of them and even Albus jumped as he turned to see what it was. Was someone spying on the two of them perhaps? He would be quite annoyed if they were and wouldn’t be afraid to try and hex them. “Sorry . .” he heard Hugo and turned to look at him and noticed that he even had his own wand out. He should’ve realized that Hugo was more easily frightened than usual because of the attack on him. “Hey don’t worry about it, I jumped as well,
” Al said to him to try and help him feel better. “ Hey I got an idea that’ll take both of our minds off of things, you know homework and well other things. Maybe we could head out to the Quidditch Pitch and fly around for a bit,” Albus smirked lightly in hopes that Hugo liked the idea. [/blockquote][/blockquote]
