Salma locked her dental office up and peered in the window one last time to check that everything was alright. It all looked like it was in order. She smiled to herself and pocketed her key before turning around and walking down the street. It was later in the evening than her usual closing time, but she had stayed and re-organized all the patient files. Why? Well, she had been searching for one of the files and realized that the corner of the file was dog-eared. She had quickly fixed it, but then felt the need to sort through them all and make sure there weren't any others. Salma could be quite particular about such things.
Her heels clicked against the pavement as she walked, a small complacent smile on her face. Slowly Salma began to hum to herself; a happy, lilting tune. It was as she reached the corner street just a few blocks north of her office, that she felt something hard come into contact with the back of her head. Her eyes grew slightly wide and she fell forward, reaching her hands out to break her fall, which of course was a rather bad idea. A sharp pain shot through her wrists and up her arms. Before she knew it, someone yanked her purse from her shoulder and ran down the street. It was dark and she couldn't see who it was. Salma lifted a hand and touched the back of her head. It felt moist. It was at that point that she started to feel dizzy and lay back down on the cobblestones.

I like it in the city when the air is so thick and opaque, I like it in the city WHEN TWO WORLDS COLLIDE!! ~ ** ~ Elliott made his way down the cobbled street he had found himself on, on his usually night time walk. It was still early, well for Elliott atleast. For the rest of the populations it was around ten o’clock at night. He was on his way to work, being the bartender in the Leaky Cauldron may not be everyones cup of tea, but for Elliott it worked a treat, and it helped to pay the rent. Elliott was all but glad to work nights, afterall it was the only time he got out.
Of course you still got the odd staunch prick who thought that someone like him didn’t deserve to be in the company of humans and wizards, but Elliott saw to that. He couldn’t stand those who discriminated against his kind, but perhaps this was payback. It was strange to be on the receiving end of something that a much younger version of himself would’ve been dishing out. He’d matured since then, in some ways atleast.
Elliott paused as he heard loud footsteps, they were loud and quick, but he guessed they were quite a distance away. Elliott frowned, and he ran to where he assumed the sound to be. Of course running for Elliott was like apparating for a wizard. Elliott was much quicker and more agile though, he didn’t make a sound when he moved, he was too fast. When he reached where he had heard the footsteps, he looked down the street. There was no one there and Elliott’s brow furrowed, he was sure he’d heard something so with this he turned looking in the opposite direction and then his eyes fell on a figure lying on the ground. Elliott quickly approached it and he was met with a strange yet very pleasant (to him) smell, blood. Elliott had already drank the stuff earlier tonight, as he was working, he couldn’t have cravings, but he hadn’t taken as much as he usually would’ve. He’d been interrupted.
He knelt down, tracing his eyes over the figure, a woman, around his own age. She was still breathing but Elliott wasn’t sure where she was bleeding. She had no purse on her so he didn’t know what name to say, she’d been mugged. Elliott reached out and rubbed her cheek, “Hello, can you tell me your name?” He asked. He didn’t want to move her just yet until he knew if she was still conscious or needed emergency assistance. He felt the back of her head, checking if she may have a head injury and when he felt he moistness on the back of her head. He looked at his hand and at the dark liquid on it now. It was so tempting, and Eliott could feel his jaw twinge. No, this was too easy, the woman was defenceless and had clearly just been attacked. Morality could be a real b!tch sometimes. He rubbed his hand on his jeans, and looked at the woman again. “Hey,” he said softly, now tapping her cheek “can you tell me your name?. . .Don’t worry, I’m not going to hurt you.” He added quickly but calmly. She could have concussion. . .

“Hello, can you tell me your name?”
Salma felt someone rub her cheek and she tried to open her eyes. "Hmm..." she mumbled before looking up at the man. She immediately began to panic, and wiggled, trying to squirm away from him, ignoring the pain that shot through her body. "Nooo... l-leave me alone..." she whimpered and tried to get out of his grasp. "You c-c-can keep my purse.. I d-d-don't have any other m-m-money.." she stared up at him with wide, terrified eyes. The mystery man touched the back of her head and Salma flinched, whimpering. "Please.. j-just take it..."
“Hey, can you tell me your name?. . .Don’t worry, I’m not going to hurt you.”
He began tapping her cheek and Salma began to tremble. "S-Salma Samaroo.." she stammered, bottom lip trembling and her life beginning to flash before her eyes. She was going to die, wasn't she? The man had taken her purse and now he was going to take her life. Her wand.. where was it? Salma must have dropped it somewhere in the street. She closed her eyes and tried a bit of wandless magic, incarcerous, to be exact. She would tie him up.
The only problem was, in her pain and confusion and panic, instead of ropes appearing, a series of light blue and light pink tiny flowers showered down on them. Salma whimpered and her body shook even harder as the flowers rained down on them, looking so out of place. "M-make it painless." she mumbled, squeezing her eyes shut.

I like it in the city when the air is so thick and opaque, I like it in the city WHEN TWO WORLDS COLLIDE!! ~ ** ~ "Hmm..."
When the woman quickly moved back Elliott fought the urge to grab her and hold her still. She was a witch, and if she though him dangerous she could do pretty much anything to him.
"Nooo... l-leave me alone...You c-c-can keep my purse.. I d-d-don't have any other m-m-money.."
Elliott raised an eyebrow, really? Did he look like a mugger? He had to scoff at this. The woman was clearly panicked, and although she was clearly very attractive he didn’t really feel anything for her. To him she was just another human, though the smell of blood caused him to remain.
"Please.. j-just take it..."
Elliott reassured her he wasn’t going to hurt her, he would’ve compelled her, but he wasn’t sure if that was a good idea or not. Instinct told him it was, it would mean she wouldn't go screaming down the street and land him in trouble. However, something stopped him.
"S-Salma Samaroo.."
She trembled under his touch and Elliott tilted his head to the side, dark brown eyes looking into Salma’s hazel ones. It may have been dark, but he could see every detail. ”Okay, Salma.” Elliott spoke softly and calmly to her, maintaining eye contact, “I’m Elliott, now can you tell me exactly what happened?” The smell of blood caught in his nostrils, and Elliott felt his throat dry. He swallowed, taking in a breath, jaw twitching, just as something landed on his lap. Elliott looked down to see flowers and his eyebrow quirked upwards, he looked at Salma’s panicked expression and his surprised expression turned to a flat one, he almost rolled his eyes at her, however he refrained. She had tried to use a spell on him, a small smirk appeared at the corner of his mouth.
"M-make it painless," and with that Salma had shut her eyes tight. Elliott just looked at her, head tilted to the side, and eyes slightly narrowed, as he moved he got another whiff of blood and his nostrils flared as he felt his jaw twitch once more. He could hear her heart beating fast in her chest and it agitated him. . .he couldn’t seem to drown out the noise.
“Please, calm down, I’m not going to hurt you.” He replied quietly, whilst adding at little yet to the end of that statement in his head. “I need to get you to a healer, I can check for concussion, but you’re bleeding, and you need that wound seen to.” His tone was level, bored even, but there was a slight hint of amusement as he looked at her. He didn’t add that if he gave her his blood she’d be absolutely fine, but he wasn’t going to say something like that, who would? Outfit Notes!!! ”Okay, Salma. I’m Elliott, now can you tell me exactly what happened?”
He was staring at her, and it served to calm Salma down a little bit, though she continued to tremble. Why was he asking? Perhaps it wasn't him who had hit her and taken her purse? Salma's eyes flickered around her for a moment before coming to rest on Elliott again. "S-s-someone.. -took my.. p-purse.. and hit me.." Elliott kept gazing at her and she noticed his eyes were brown. "Chocolate." she mumbled to herself, noting his eyes were the colour of chocolate. He was rather handsome.
“Please, calm down, I’m not going to hurt you. I need to get you to a healer, I can check for concussion, but you’re bleeding, and you need that wound seen to.”
Salma felt the flowers rain down around her, some landing in her hair. Oh how embarrassing! "Okay.." she said quietly when he said he wouldn't hurt her. Salma now tried to sit up a bit. Would he hurt her? Well, she couldn't be sure, but she'd trust him for now. She managed to sit up and moaned softly. "My wrists... and my head..." Salma shook her head and winced. "No.. I j-just need my wand.. then I can heal my wrists and get to my office to clean the blood... it's just over there..." she stammered, pointing in the direction of her dental office which could be seen in the distance. "W-would you help me find my wand? It fell here somewhere..."

I like it in the city when the air is so thick and opaque, I like it in the city WHEN TWO WORLDS COLLIDE!! ~ ** ~ "S-s-someone.. -took my.. p-purse.. and hit me.." Elliott nodded, eyes still Salma. Something about her intrigued him. "Chocolate."
“What?” He asked, what had chocolate got to do with her being mugged? Well whatever it did, Elliott found himself smirking.
His reassurance seemed to help, though Elliott wasn’t sure it he had compelled her without meaning or she just was a rather trusting person. He guessed the latter.
"Okay.." she tried to sit up and Elliott put his hand on her should her in case she fell back, still watching her. The smell of blood was an annoyance to him now and it caused his throat to dry continually. Though thankfully, she had calmed down a little so her heart was only doing a small, soft beating in her chest.
"My wrists... and my head...No.. I j-just need my wand.. then I can heal my wrists and get to my office to clean the blood... it's just over there..." Elliott looked up the street to where Salma had pointed and his eye narrowed nodding slightly.
"W-would you help me find my wand? It fell here somewhere..."
He turned back to her, ”alright. But first just let me check you.” He reached his right hand to her cheek, keeping his left on her shoulder to keep her steady. He moved a bit closer tilting his head slight upwards, so he was looking down at her, into her eyes. There didn’t seem to be anything wrong with her that he could see. “Alright, stay here.” He said, not that Salma was going to go anywhere fast, but he felt he should tell her to all the same.
He stood up and quickly spotted her wand a short distance away. He picked it up looking at it for a moment, it was strange to hold a wand after such a long time. Due to his current standing in society, he didn’t need one. He returned to Salma after a short moment and knelt back down.
“Okay, let’s get you back to your office,” he said. It surprised Elliott how accommodating he was being, odd. He put his arms around Salma and helped her to her feet, however he was careful not to cause her to panic again. He looked down at her, holding her steady in case she was about to fall. “Can you walk?” Outfit Notes!!! Tags; Salma SamarooSong Credits!

“What?”
Salma was feeling a little light-headed, so before she could think twice, she mumbled, "Your eyes look like milk chocoalte." It was after she said this that she blushed a little and mentally hit herself. Silly Salma.. SILLY!
”alright. But first just let me check you.”
He placed a hand on his cheek and though it was likely nothing more than meant to help steady her, Salma felt her cheeks burn. He moved his head closer and gazed into her eyes, making Salma's heart began to pound again. "Mhmm.." was all Salma could manage. He pulled away then and went in search of her wand. Salma faltered a bit, tryign to calm her breathing. This Elliott fellow seemed absolutely scandalous!
“Okay, let’s get you back to your office, Can you walk?”
"Thank you.." she said with a warm smile when he handed her wand back. Elliott then wrapped his arms around her to help her up. Being this close to a man was... why.. it was... Salma could barely contain the pitter-patter of her heart in her chest. Elliott asked if she could walk and Salma nodded. Even if she couldn't she'd have to try. If he kept his arms around her, Salma might very well have her knees buckle.
She began to walk unsteadily to her dental office and once there, unlocked it, walking in and motioning for Elliott to follow. Once inside she collapsed onto the chair in the examination room, sifting through her bottles and jars. "C-could you f-find the.. blue bottle.. it has a bright yellow label.. blood coagulator." Her words were slightly slurred as she said this.

I like it in the city when the air is so thick and opaque, I like it in the city WHEN TWO WORLDS COLLIDE!! ~ ** ~ "Your eyes look like milk chocoalte."
When she explained Elliott had raised an eyebrow, a sharp breath escaped through his nose, almost like an amused scoff and the smirk on his lips increased just slightly.
"Thank you.."
As he lifted her though, Elliott could hear Salma’s heartbeat quicken again, he refrained from rolling his eyes but he did feel his chest tighten a little. When she stepped away to walk, Elliott quickly let go, swallowing slightly, his adam’s apple moving slightly. He had had blood earlier. . .however that didn’t mean that he still did not feel hungry. He fought the urge for now though and instead followed in intriguing young woman down the street.
At the door he paused, not because he wouldn’t be able to get in; that only worked for dwellings, public offices didn’t count. Regardless of this, Salma still motioned for him to enter and Elliott did just that. He followed her into one of the examination rooms, eyeing the gash on the back of Salma’s head. He couldn’t help but notice how his jaw twinged, but he could control himself. He scanned his eyes around the room, keeping an eye on Salma too.
The room was bright and it made Elliott feel agitated. It was nothing compared to what the sun could do, but it didn’t mean he didn’t like it. "C-could you f-find the.. blue bottle.. it has a bright yellow label.. blood coagulator." Elliott snapped his gaze back to her as he heard her voice. His eyes narrowed momentarily as he looked at her.
”I still think that you should go get checked up properly,” Elliott had been a healer both during and after the war. Granted he wasn’t much use in healing or even helping people now, but he knew when someone was not well. However he reluctantly reached for the bottle he had noticed split seconds after she had mentioned the label. Salma wasn’t looking at him so Elliott moved quickly, almost seeming to appear at her side, bottle in hand. “You may have internal bleeding, you really should get checked out.” He said, in a voice that was oddly void of emotion. He could still hear her heart beating quickly and it really wasn’t helping him. Outfit Notes!!! Tags; Salma SamarooSong Credits!

”I still think that you should go get checked up properly,”
Salma furrowed her brows and gave him a small smile, shaking her head, a dreamy sort of expression on her face. "Before I became a dentist, I trained as a healer. I'll be okay." she said quietly, slumping forward in the chair.
“You may have internal bleeding, you really should get checked out.”
"Maybe.. but we'll know in a moment." Salma lifted the bottle to her lips and drank its entire contents. She lowered the bottle then and sat there, closing her eyes. After a few moments, the bleeding stopped. Salma looked at Elliott, a glazed look in her eyes. "The pain is m-mostly gone... I'll b-be okay." she said quietly before using her wand on various parts of her body and muttering "Episky." Before too long, the pain was entirely gone. Salma leaned back against the chair and looked at Elliott with a dazed expression. "I n-need sugar..." she said quietly, licking her lips as her eyes fluttered closed. "Please."

I like it in the city when the air is so thick and opaque, I like it in the city WHEN TWO WORLDS COLLIDE!! ~ ** ~ "Before I became a dentist, I trained as a healer. I'll be okay."
“And I’ve trained as one too but all the more reason for you to go and get seen to properly.” Elliott wasn’t exactly sure why he was acting concerned. Granted he didn’t truly feel concerned for the woman sitting before him. She was just another human. . .but there must have been something that made him say what he had.
"Maybe.. but we'll know in a moment."
He watched her down the contents expression level as if this action did not faze him in the slightest and observed her. She looked terribly weak. . .tired and nearly out of it. He was met with those hazel eyes again but they were glazed over and Elliott knelt down in front of her. Instinct caused him to place a hand on her cheek, but he meant nothing by this.
"The pain is m-mostly gone... I'll b-be okay. Episky."
However Elliott wasn’t convinced, he rolled his eyes at her actions, noticing that he was applying pressure to her shoulders now as Salma seemed to be leaning further forward towards him...She leaned back and looked at him, a dazed expression in those eyes. Elliott, naturally would’ve just left her there, but something made him stay. . .was he concerned? It had been a loooong time since he had felt the need to stay or help someone. Fight of flight was built into him.
Though, regardless of what Salma was saying, Elliott knew she needed help.
"I n-need sugar...Please."
“No,” he said shortly. “You need help.” And with that he pulled her forward lifting her up easily out of the chair she was now sitting in. Lifting her was like nothing to him. “I’m taking you to St. Mungos, right now.” He explained flatly, and so, regardless of whether Salma struggled against him. Elliott did just that.
He made sure to lift the keys of her office as he passed them and carried Salma out into the street, keeping hold of her as he juggled with her keys. Door locked, it was only a matter of seconds before Elliott had arrived at the entrance to the wizarding hospital. . . Outfit Notes!!! Salma could hear him telling her all the reasons as to why she had to go get help, but in all honesty, she didn't think she needed to get more help than what she had. "No.. I'm f-f-fine..." she breathed, slumping against the chair. "Sleep.. I need..." Her hazel eyes fluttered closed and she breathed out slowly.
“No, You need help. I’m taking you to St. Mungos, right now.”
"Nooo..." she said softly but it seemed it wouldn't help. Elliott picked her up and Salma's head flopped backwards a little. She felt like a ragdoll. She kept her eyes closed and everything went black for what seemed like a second, and they were in front of St Mungo's. "F-fast..." she mumbled licking her lips and peering up at him, confused. Perhaps it just seemed fast because she was woozy? Salma had her arms wrapped loosely around his neck and closed her eyes again.
Her head throbbed and her eyes stung. Tears leaked down her cheeks but she wasn't crying. It was all because of the pain she was in. A soft whimper escaped her lips and she clung a little more tightly, body shaking.

I like it in the city when the air is so thick and opaque, I like it in the city WHEN TWO WORLDS COLLIDE!! ~ ** ~ “F-fast..."
Elliott looked down at her as she lay in his arms, swallowing, his jaw twitching. His head tilted a little, eyes narrowing as he watched her. “Would you rather I was slower?” he asked softly, eyes seemingly attracted to her neck for the briefest of moments. It would be so easy to... Elliott swallowed again trying to get the drying sensation out of his throat, but it was the sort that never truly disappeared.
He steeled himself against the feeling momentarily and made his way on into the Hospital. Elliott hadn’t been in the place in years, not since he had been a healer, but nothing had really changed. Everything was pretty much the same, same layout, some familiar faces, but one thing that he hadn’t recalled. The smell of blood. Of course it was a hospital, it was well cleaned and their wasn’t a speck of dirt to be seen, but Elliott could still smell it, somewhere. Or maybe it was Salma. . .
His thoughts were interrupted as a Healer approached, he asked what had happened and Elliott proceeded to tell the man everything that he had noticed, to which the Healer was surprised but gave Elliott a quizzical look. Elliott knew what that look meant. The man was suspicious of him, of course, who wouldn’t be.
A vampire who just so happened to come across a woman who’d been attacked. . .so very coincidental. Elliott didn’t say anything, and instead tried to shift Salma’s weight so she was a little more comfortable. It was strange having her arms around his neck, as if she trusted him. . .the thought was rather unnerving, as it wasn’t something he was used to.
The Healer, magicked a stretcher and Elliott lay Salma gently down on it, watching her the whole time. It was a strange feeling when he had let her go. . .again something that unnerved Elliott momentarily. He did well to forget it though as Salma was moved away. Elliott remained standing by the door. Not quite sure if he should go up after they or if he should just go to work. . .he should probably go to work. He took a step towards the door as if to do so, but he paused. . .
Then letting out a breath, he made his way in the direction they had went, what was he doing?!

“Would you rather I was slower?”
His voice was soft and Salma blinked at him slowly, pressing her lips together for a moment. "N-no.. fast si good.." Perhaps he had apparated? Yes, that had to be it. He carried her inside and Salma found herself tightening her grip on him, her cheek resting firmly against his chest. This behaviour would be scandalous in her opinion when she thought of it later, but right now it was second nature.
Soon she felt herself being placed on something soft. Salma opened her eyes and saw that she was no longer being carried. A look of confusion came across her features but the healer began talking to the orderlies and nurses, wheeling her away. "Wait.. he..." she began trailing off as they moved further and further away from the man who had helped her. As they wheeled her into a room, Salma saw Elliott walking towards them. The nurses had Salma change into a hospital gown very easily through the use of their wands. The healer looked out at the approaching man then turned to Salma. "Looks like your boyfriend wants to come in..." he said to her.
Salma blushed a bit despite the paleness of her skin. "H-he's not.. m-my..." she shook ehr head. "He helped me... he can come in.." Salma said quietly as she shifted in her bed a bit, wincing. The hospital gown was okay. The healer began handing the nurse all sorts of potions. The nurse in turn started feeding them to Salma.

I like it in the city when the air is so thick and opaque, I like it in the city WHEN TWO WORLDS COLLIDE!! ~ ** ~ Elliott reached the room Salma was already in, but he faltered at the door. . .what exactly was he doing, he really had. . .
"Looks like your boyfriend wants to come in..."
Elliott looked at the healer, did he really just hear right?
"H-he's not.. m-my...He helped me... he can come in.."
Elliott didn’t come in immediately, he faltered around the door briefly still not sure what he was really doing here. The smell of the hospital was making him uncomfortable. He loved the smell of blood, but not when he was in the company of so many humans. The fact that he hadn’t drank all that much tonight mean that he was at a greater risk of hurting someone.
When the nurse finished treating Salma, she approached him. “We just need to keep an eye on her. She seems alright. But if you can try to keep her awake for a few more hours just so we can be sure.” Elliott’s jaw twitched, he should be at work, or at least not, here. . . He nodded though, his boss would understand and perhaps he could hold out on the blood tonight. So Elliott made his way in. . .moving towards the window to check on the light, of course it was still dark, it was night after all, but Elliott could see every detail. He would have to go in a few hours anyway. . .he couldn’t stay with her all night and into the morning. . .
He turned back to Salma. “How are you feeling now?” He asked looking at her, she still looked very pale, but as he couldn’t smell blood off her anymore he guessed keeping her awake shouldn’t be too difficult. . .

“How are you feeling now?”
The man was standing next to her now as she lay on the bed. Salma pulled the covers weakly up to her chin and blinked up at him. He had asked a question but she couldn't quite figure out what he had said. Salma screwed up her face and tried to focus. Finally she registered what he had said. "Oh.. ah... a little groggy but better." Salma suddenly felt a little scandalous to be lying down while a man was there.
"Its th-thanks to you, really." she said as she finally succeeded in sitting up. Her face was still quite pale. "I must thank you somehow. I'm a dentist by trade... I could give you a free cleaning... or... I could bake something for you..." She was rambling a bit now. Salma looked up at him now and noticed how refined his features were. "Or you c-could model for my dental brochure and I could pay you.."
Salma had blurted that last part out and looked mortified. "Or I could do all three for you... and I'd just pay you.. you don't have to model." Here Salma blushed heavily.

I like it in the city when the air is so thick and opaque, I like it in the city WHEN TWO WORLDS COLLIDE!! ~ ** ~ The woman before him still looked rather dazed and Elliott watched her carefully. All he had to do was keep her awake for a while. A couple of hours tops. . .how hard could it be? No he wouldn’t think that. . .that was just tempting something bad.
"Oh.. ah... a little groggy but better."
Elliott just nodded, okay, good, so she was feeling better, an improvement. Not that he cared. It was a good sign but that she was feeling better, but Elliott was still indifferent towards her. She was afterall, just another human.
"Its th-thanks to you, really.I must thank you somehow. I'm a dentist by trade... I could give you a free cleaning... or... I could bake something for you...Or you c-could model for my dental brochure and I could pay you..Or I could do all three for you... and I'd just pay you.. you don't have to model."
Elliott silently watched her, expression emotionless as she thanked him. It was strange, he wasn’t used to hearing thanks. . .well not as a form of gratitude. He heard the word “thanks” on a daily basis as a bartender, but even then it was more commonly “cheers”. He raised an eyebrow as she continued; he was well aware she was a dentist, her practise was new, but Elliott had seen shops open and close around Diagon Alley, he knew of her, but he had not paid much attention to the shop in detail. He didn’t think a “cleaning” was necessary and to model? Well he knew he was good looking but Elliott had learned to tone down the cockiness in the twenty-two years he’d been a vampire.
Publicised attention to himself, really wasn’t a good thing, Elliott had learned that at the end of the war. . .so that only left the baking. . .Elliott had to scoff inwardly at himself sometimes. “Are you a good cook?” He asked without thinking, and rather bluntly too. . . It was unnerving the way this man just stared at her as she spoke. It made Salma uncomfortable beyond all reason. She wiggled and squirmed in the bed weakly, feeling like he was looking deep inside her. How very invasive. When she gave him the options, he seemed to think on them quietly.
“Are you a good cook?”
Salma nodded. "I mean.. I have been told I'm a good cook... I don't like to toot my own horn. But I bake extensively for people, and I've been cooking since I was a little girl." She blushed heavily at having boasted a little without meaning to. "Here's an idea.. i'll cook for you and we'll make a picnic out of it. Or.. or you could come to my house..." Salma was suddenly nervous. She sat up straighter. "Just tell me when you are free... is that okay? And what do you like to eat then?" Salma wanted to make something he would like.
The covers fell from on top of her but she didn't realize how scandalous the hospital gown was. "How about tomorrow? For dinner? Does that work?" Salma really wanted to thank this man... she had to, he had saved her life. She gave him a look of pure unrelinquished gratitude and gazed up at him.

I like it in the city when the air is so thick and opaque, I like it in the city WHEN TWO WORLDS COLLIDE!! ~ ** ~ "I mean.. I have been told I'm a good cook... I don't like to toot my own horn. But I bake extensively for people, and I've been cooking since I was a little girl."
She blushed again, and Elliott raised an eyebrow slightly as he continued to watch her. Was she always this. . .shy?
"Here's an idea.. i'll cook for you and we'll make a picnic out of it. Or.. or you could come to my house...Just tell me when you are free... is that okay? And what do you like to eat then?"
She sat up and Elliott could hear her heartbeat quicken a little in her chest, he tilted his head upwards slightly, still loking at her. He could see flaws in her suggestions but he decided not to say anything just yet. Her heartbeat was a little distracting.
The covers fell of her slightly and he now could see her figure, and more importantly her chest. Her heartrate hadn’t quickened at this though, he was glad of that and he looked away at the lamp beside her bed instead.
“Are you always so willing to invite a complete stranger into your house?” He asked, tracing his gaze back from the lamp to look into her eyes, managing to keep his gaze away from her neck as he felt his throat dry a little. He was stronger than this, he just had to fight it. He watched her carefully, surely by now, she would’ve known that he wasn’t like her. The looks the healers had given him, his speed and strength. . .Elliott felt a flicker of curiosity within him but he manages to push it to the side as Salma spoke.
"How about tomorrow? For dinner? Does that work?"
The look she was giving him was rather unnerving, Elliott wasn’t used to it and it made him feel weird. . .and Elliott didn’t appreciate this one bit. “What time?” He asked, hoping that the question would stop her from looking at him in that way. Then he realised that he was entertaining the idea of dinner with her, this made him mentally kick himself. He only had one rule, don’t get involved with the humans, one simple rule, and he was almost-but-not-quite breaking it. . . Outfit Notes!!! Again, the man was doing the silent thing. It made Salma nervous. he just watched her as she spoke. He didn't seem to have the social skills to make her feel more comfortable. He didn't seem to do it on purpose though. It looked like it was just his personality. But something was different about him than anyone else she had met. It made her feel nervous but at the same time wanting to thank the man who had saved her. "I just... w-want to.. thank you..." she said with a shrug of one shoulder, looking like a sheepish little girl.
“What time?”
Salma smiled. "How about 7:30?" she said, blinking up at him as innocently and naively as ever. "Are you picky about what you eat?" She didn't want to make something that he couldn't eat and offend him. No, Salma wanted to make sure she paid him back well and proper, like he deserved. "Just let me know, I won't be offended, I promise." A real, true and dazzling smile appeared on her face.

Elliott nodded silently. He got that, he just found it strange that someone; a woman like Salma –of all people- would invite a creature like himself so willingly into her house. Afterall, she did what he was, didn’t she? Either way, Elliott wasn’t going to openly say it.
"How about 7:30?" she blinked looking incredibly innocent, or so Elliott thought. He felt strange being around someone so. . .well. . .pure.
"Are you picky about what you eat?"
Elliott smirked, no, he wasn’t picky. . .per-say. “No,” he said simply, the smirk on his lips carrying a certain warmth to it as he looked over at her.
"Just let me know, I won't be offended, I promise."
She smiled and Elliott’s smirk faltered slightly. She was rather cute, he caught himself thinking this and avoided her gaze saying, “I’m not.” He glanced out of the window briefly and then back at her. “Do you live alone?” He asked. Ss soon as he did so, he regretted it, not quite sure why he had said it at all. “You shouldn’t walk alone at night,” he looked over at her. “Even though the war’s over it’s still not safe.”
Elliott guessed that Salma would only have been around one of two by the time the war was raging, but –in appearance- one could guess he had been too. Unfortunately Elliott was all too aware of what the war had been like. He’d fought in it as a Death Eater, but had switched his allegiance, something that had earned him a mark of a traitor on his arm just above the scar left by the Dark Mark. It was a move that had earned him a lot of enemies, one being the vampire who had turned him. Elliott couldn’t remember his human life. He’d pieced together some buts, but for most part he wasn’t sure.
He’d come across people whose faces looked familiar, but Elliott had no idea why, and the nightmares that haunted him made little sense, but terrified him all the same. He had been 19 when the war was being fought, so it was only natural he would talk about it like he knew it. He realised though that Salma might think his choice of statement strange. Would she?
