Ainsley sat on a bench in sweats and a fitted tee, over which she wore a baggy cardigan. Her legs were folded and crossed, "Indian style", beneath her. Her hair was still slightly damp from her recent shower after her afternoon run. And now it was time for her afternoon snack, but this snack would be shared. And shared with none other than her best friend in either the Magical or Non-Magical world - Roxanne Weasley.
Most of Ainsley's friends were male as she just got along with them...better. She thought it was from growing up with Tristen. Most girls with such masculine older brothers either got along as one of the guys...or...they were very feminine to balance out the strong masculine energy. Ainsley was not the latter, although completely feminine in the way her body was formed. For a 15 year old, she had still growing hips and other features. She was in shape as well, so most definitely sought after.
Though, her brother tended to ward off boys. That or boys just knew she was so much one of the guys that they shouldn't even bother. The one that had bothered, this past summer, had lost interest after Tristen went after him so much that he put himself in the hospital after falling off of his broom. It was a good thing that boy didn't go to Hogwarts, she thought.
Roxanne was one of the few girls, if not the only girl, with whom Ainsley felt completely comfortable having girl-talk. Their conversations weren't dominated by the subject of sports or "who is hotter". There were no stupid dares and no jealous testosterone in the works. With Roxanne, Ainsley felt she could talk about anything. Maybe...even boys, though Roxanne was the one that did most of the talking on that subject. Ainsley still hadn't found herself much interested in boys. She knew which ones were hot and might have felt an attraction to some, but she just thought of herself as too much of one of the guys to take guys...seriously. There hadn't been a guy to bring her about just yet.
She looked down at the plate in her lap, fit with two pieces of chocolate cake and one fork. Ainsley was practically salivating, waiting for her dark haired friend to join her...

Running. It was such a freeing activity and a great way to stay in shape. Roxanne had failed to earn a secure spot on the qudditch team this year and instead spent some of her free time getting more in shape and ready for next years try outs. Running was one of ways Roxanne was building her body to be more fit and toned, plus the time was used to sort out her thoughts. As she placed one foot in front of the other in a rapid speed her mind would sort out her dilemmas and plan out new pranks.
Usually Roxanne and her best friend, Ainsley, would run together since they both enjoyed it. But today Roxanne had told Ainsley to go ahead for she had other things to focus on at that time, like last minute homework. Roxanne went for her run after everything else was completed, she was rounding one of the bends in the courtyard and saw a familiar face sitting on a bench with a plate holding two pieces of chocolate cake. Just then Roxanne's stomach rumbled quite loud.
"You always know." Roxanne laughed lightly walking over to her friend. She gave Ainsley a hug and a kiss on the cheek, for they were that close, she considered Ainsley a sister she never had. "I bet you've been dying to eat this. How long have you been waiting?" She asked Ainsley as she took her seat next to her.
