Running a hair through her dark colored hair, Sierra pushed her way into the kitchen and slipped inside. The house elves were busy bustling around preparing breakfast for the students, and even though it was after hours, no of the house elves would tell her to head away, after all. it was only their job to cook food, not keep the students in line. She figured this was probably as good a place as any to hide out tonight. Since the full moon was at it's high point tonight, it was when Sierra was at her most irritable, well more than normal anyway. She moved to one of the long benches that was in the center of the room and moved to sit on a stool, taking the cold pumpkin juice of an elf who gave her a half look of pity, and a snarl escaped Sierra's mouth.
She hated people taking pity on her, and it was even worse coming from a house elf! He ran a hand through her hair and made to wrap it at the nape of her neck into a bu so it was off her face. She skulled the cold pumpkin juice, and it sort of calmed her a little, it wasn't like she could go snappy at an elf over a look that sierra could have taken the wrong way. She sighed and leaned back against the backing of the chair, her hand clasping around the edge of the table as she bit her lip. She hated this, and she still had oh about . . seventy more years of it to go, though werewolves seemed to live a little longer than humans, which was even worse still.
Biting her lip, she looked toward one of the elves and fixed one of them with a narrow gaze. The elf seemed to read her mind and promptly came running back with a piece of steak, that was seemingly raw to people. But hey, Sierra thought, it it stopped her from trying to chow down on some other student, then she would take it as a good thing and eat it anyway. She bit her lip and moved to cut a piece of the steak and chewed it for a second before swallowing. Suddenly she felt something in her head shift and she pushed the plate away from her and sent it crashing to the floor with a loud clang, she heard the plate round three times before stopping on the ground and she could smell the blood from the steak as it seeped through the floor boards.
She bit her lip and shook he head, seemingly loosing it as she got off the stool and moves do sit against the wall of the bench, half hiding under the bench as she did, she wanted to get out of the light, she gripped at her hair and fought against pulling it out as a wave of emotion and anger ripped through her and she curled her knees to her chest and let a snarl out of her mouth. She hated this, and sooner or later she was going to snap, she felt it coming. But right now, she felt her stone resolve fracture slightly and she dropped her head onto her knee's and felt a tear or two slide down her cheeks. She heard the door to the kitchen open and thought it was a house elf to start with, till she smelled the human blood running through their veins. A defensive snarl ripped from her chest as she kept her head down on her knee's. it was a warning, one that would usually be headed, if the person was smart. But, Sierra could still hear them there, and that was when she lifted her head.

theia had woken earlier than usual, and for some reason unable to return to sleep, she'd rolled over and over, tossed and turned before giving in and getting up, throwing aside the covers with an irritated huff. she didn't care if she woke the other girls in her dorm or not as she stood and headed over to her wardrobe and withdrew from it something to wear. she was still half asleep really, and she didn't honestly care as she grabbed whatever her hands touched and threw them on, finding the skirt and top matched perfectly fine anyway. she didn't bother to brush her hair, simply ruffling it slightly before walking straight past the mirror, make-up left off. she didn't look that much different with her make-up off anyway, she had a decent complexion and she never really cared much for the stuff anyway.
she headed out into the common room, hopeful that perhaps one of the boys where up - albus or scorp. it was more possible to be albus but alas no...all was silent. it caused her to wonder what the time happened to be, but she had no watch on her persons so simply shrugged and headed out of the common room completely. she wasn't sure where she was going, but all she knew was that she was rather hungry, and an early breakfast would be called for - at least that way she could eat then go back to bed, and not have to worry about getting up for the actual time of breakfast later on.
she hadn't expected anyone to be in the kitchens at .. whatever god horribly early time this was .. but as she entered the room she heard the low grumble of warning...and recognised it immediatly. she rolled her eyes, not heeding the warning in the slightest - sierra knew exactly what theia would do if the girl tried to take a chunk out of her. "oh relax she-wolfyit's only me." she smirked lightly, shaking her head and pausing her steps as she noticed the girls position in hiding. her eyebrows raised, arms folding as she tilted her head. "what the hell are you doing down there? looking for scraps? allergic to the light now?" she was perhaps taunting a little, but she couldn't help it. she wasn't someone to be very sympathetic, and sometimes the only way to deal with sierra was to challange her, make her know that you're not afraid of her or anything - with theia wasn't.

As soon as Sierra had looked up she knew her warning wouldnt be heeded, she sighed and stretched her legs out infront of her, her body was still tense as she moved, and her usual light eyes had taken on a darker tinge, with the slightly red around the outside. She had no idea what time it was, she had been in the kitchen for god knows how long before Thiea had walked in. She frowned slightly and looked up. "Little hard to relax when you smell like steak on a plate . . " She said with a slight roll of her eye. She really did, she sounded like it too. See the thing about being half werewoilf, was that you had everything the werewolf did, except the change. It was still instinct to try and hunt things that moved, even when she was human. But at least a plus side was she didnt have to go through the painful tranformations she had seen her mother go through.
She ran her hand over her face, taking a little bit of extra care to wipe the excess tear from the side of her eye and looked up at Thiea. Rolling her eyes she made to stand up and dropped onto a stool again and shrugged. "Well it would be an interesting thing to be allergic to . . would be better than being drawn to it . . . but you on the other hand . . searching for the leftovers freom the house elves meals? . . I think they threw the scraps in the school bin . . so if your hungry . . go for a rummage" She said as she ran a hand through her hair. She sighed and turned her body in the stool so she was looking fully at Thiea, all sarcasm dropped, she couldnt fathom it tonight, any other night and he come-backs would have been sharp, but tonight, all she could think of was other things, so her mind was distracted.
"So whats really your excuse for being down here . . ?" she said, a lame attempt at trying to make a shread of conversation with the older girl. Her eyes glances at thiea to look her over, her eyes actually testing if she was a threat, her eyes making note of movments encase she had to move quick. She ran a hadn over her face again and gritted her teeth slightly. She hated that, having to brace for defence even when there was no reason to. She looked back at Thiea and a small smirk crossed her mouth, it was forced but it was there. "Cute outfit . . " She said as she leaned back against the counter, it must have been getting close to morning, because all of a sudden she felt the feeling lift slightly, which was good.

"Little hard to relax when you smell like steak on a plate . . " theia rolled her eyes lightly, smirking. "yes well i am rather appealing i must say.. but to try and keep your jaws to yourself and nobody will get hurt." theia raised her eyebrows, glancing at sierra and accepting a mug of tea from a house elf that scurried toward her. though she was joking, she wasn't kidding about the fact that if her friend took a snap at her, she wouldn't just sit there and take it. theia would strike back of course, she wasn't weak.. even if sierra was her friend - it wouldn't do to think she could try and eat her. theia was already part veela, there was no need for her to become werewolf too.
"Well it would be an interesting thing to be allergic to . . would be better than being drawn to it . . . but you on the other hand . . searching for the leftovers freom the house elves meals? . . I think they threw the scraps in the school bin . . so if your hungry . . go for a rummage" theia rolled her eyes. "me and scraps don't even fit into the same sentance sier, you should no that by now...tigers get the meat, the wolves get the scraps... food chain order and all.." theia smirked lightly, oh how she loved to banter... but really she was being serious - there was nothing theia would take that was preowned. her clothes were always designer, and never second hand, her books and quills and robes brand new.. hell even her boyfriends were never someone elses scraps.
theia caught the wiping away of a stray tear and frowned slightly. she herself was never caught crying - well there had been one or two exceptions for that..but generally she hated crying and she disliked it when others did. she couldn't help disliking it.. it was showing weakness, and theia had learned that to show weakness was to be an easy target. but she didn't comment on it. so long as sierra didn't burst into tears theia could handle it - she wasn't too good with sympathy and sobbing people staining her robes with tears.
"So whats really your excuse for being down here . . ?" theia rolled her eyes again and sipped her drink, settling into the chair she'd chosen to sat on. "i have to have an excuse? oh i don't know .. to parlay with the house elves.." she was mocking of course, she would never do that. "why do you think? i was hungry." she shrugged, looking over deliberately at an elf when it heard her..and she watched it scurry away to go and make something - hopefully a good something. "Cute outfit . . " theia raised her eyebrows, since when did sierra compliment? often the two of them bantered a lot, a little like her and scorp, or were trying to bargine for something one of them needed from the other - whether it be help or an object of some sort. they got on pretty well, and actually though theia would never admit it to anyone - even herself - she kept an eye out for the younger girl, pushed aside another student here or there who perhaps tried to get to sierra... "thanks... what's up with you?" she asked, attempting to try for some compassion..though it probably sounded a little weak.

"thanks... what's up with you?" Sierra looked at Theia and raised an eyebrow. Now it was her turn to be suprised, Theia didnt often show compassion, or even attempt it, though Sierra knew she did care about certain people. She didnt show it often, but hey, if she didnt like you Sierra doubted she'd hang out with you. She honestly didnt know what to say, and the back of her mind started working, thinking of all the things thet were up, and thinking of no good reason to tell her. It wasnt like she was going to go around dumping her problems on people, she wasnt like that. They were her problems and she would deal with them. Hell she didnt mention them to her family most of the time, so why would she talk to anyone else.
She shrugged. "Why do you think something's up? . . . well apart from the full moon" She said with a slight roll of her eyes, the mental defences that hd come down for a momantary lapse flew straight back up and locked into place. She got up from the chair and moved to one of the cupboards, knowing some students had gotten the house elves to hide things that were banned, usually there was some good stuff, but now there wasnt anything the smelled even remotly edible. She growled softly and shut the door and headed back to the chairs. She was restless, and she ran a hand through her hair.
She dropped back into the chair and looked aorund as the house elves kept running around them and she shook her head slightly. She looked back at Theia and decided that the conversation needed to take a new turn, get the subject off them and put it onto something else. "So I heard slytherin won the match . . even though I wasnt playing" She said with a small smirk. She was the Keeper for the team, but she had been forced away that weekend by some reason she hadnt told anyone., and probably never would. She did kinda feel bad for uping and leaving her team like that, but she had left a note. She ran a hand through her hair again and her fingers clicked a few times on their own before she folded her arms over her waist and leaned back into the chair, just wanting the full moon to be over really.

theia watched her seem to struggle for an answer, her finely plucked eyebrows slowly raised, choclate eyes inquisitive as they flickered to her face. "Why do you think something's up? . . . well apart from the full moon" she rolled her eyes, shaking her head and taking her time to sip her drink before she answered. "because your insults are weak.. normally they at least have some substance, even if they don't touch the sides." she said with a lithe shrug, yawning lightly and glancing at the elves as they carried on their jobs around the two girls. it was true, though her little quips never hurt, they were usually a lot better. "besides.. took you long enough to answer, and i never counted you for 'slow'" she said with a small smirk.
she may have shown some compassion but she wasn't going to push. one thing you learnt from theia was that she would never, ever beg. not even for her life if someone held it in their hands. if someone denied her she wouldn't plead, she'd find other ways and means to get what she wanted - she was smart. so if sierra didn't want to say, then theia wasn't going to ask and ask and ask, she would just shrug it off and move on. she was certain the younger girl would blurt it some time once she got past that wall.
theia understood the wall, she had one herself. oh so carefully constructed, stronger than hogwarts itself, and if theia liked you she might slowly start to let it down, one brick at a time.. but nobody knew her fully, truly. scorpius and albus.. they were the closest she ever came to letting her guard down completely, but even they didn't know everything. there were some things theia didn't think she could ever share.. about her past, her present, herself.. she just.. couldn't.
theia sipped her drink once more, taking the time to swallow it and savour the taste. "So I heard slytherin won the match . . even though I wasnt playing" her gaze flickered to sierra almost lazily - well she was a little tired - and she rolled her eyes lightly. "mm.. thank you for that, by the way. i got dared into it." she said, shaking her head. she hadn't meant to join the team.. usually she disliked flying with a passion - though her father had pushed her into it enough that she was a decent flyer, she didn't follow the sport and tried to stay out of playing in quidditch. yet this match she'd half been dared into it, and so to prove something to people she'd signed up as a subsitute keeper. they only won the match due to albus' excellence.. she wasn't even going to comment on her keeper skills, but she didn't really care.
