Now, some would like to know about the many past trials of Jared Derril, and his encounters with Harry Potter, however, since there are none in writing. This is Jared's personal tale, on how he became one of the more renowned dark wizards considered potentially dangerous by the head Auror himself Harry Potter with the help of his friend Ronald Weasley, if he was able to make it anyways. In Jared's past, this would be about twenty years ago when he was at least twenty-two, as was the boy who lived. Now I shall not ruin this tale of a chase that leads the two into a world of despair and mystery. Have I lost your interest? Please continue reading, there's much more to this tale than you'd think...reading in between the lines is fine and all. Of course, the only reason Harry would know a thing about Jared is due to Teddy having worked under him for a little bit.
Jared eventually caught on and ran him out of his base, the lucky bastard got away with just a scratch seeing as he knew many of his creature's secrets. Except, it wouldn't help him with the new ones he was working on breeding at the moment. Jared's ultimate plan was to create a dragon hatchery and tame his own dragon right form when it was a hatchling to when it's fully grown. Do you dare to try and tame this mad wizard? Once again, let's read more...
Jared was just writing his usual musings in his journal the day of the big event when he was going to make a huge deal. Even as he sat in his underground lab, and when he broke another pencil on the damned journal he took out his wand and used the exploding spell on it. Watching the many fractions of the pencil itself splattering into little slivers around the ground, he grinned. It was so satisfying destroying things like that, and he couldn't help laugh at that pile of wooden shavings on the ground. What else was there to do with a broken pencil he saw no point in keeping?
Sure, he would have easily sharpened it on his own, but there were so many over the damned base he kept tripping on them. It was much easier to destroy the pestilent viral things instead of tripping over them too. Jared would always look down every so often to make sure he didn't destroy one of his little creations by accident since they seemed to flock after him whenever he moved. If Jared had a soft side, he only showed it for the many creatures he harbored within his base of operations. Finally choosing a suitable location at least a hundred miles east of England for the time being until he found a different location people were terrified of.
Standing at the edge of his desk he brought his lab coat closer to him as he stuffed his hands in his white lab coats pocket. Wearing a black t-shirt with black dress pants, along with his black dress shoes giving him a professional look sort of. Soon he was discarding the coat onto the back of his chair as he looked around, and the noticed the time. Brown eyes widened as he brushed some of his shaggy brown hair to one side as his lips curled into a half-smirk at this. It was almost time to grab that dragon's egg before anyone else got a chance to get their grubby hands on it. Of course the meddling bureau only known as the Ministry of Magic was trying to hinder his every move.
Tugging slightly on a strand of his hair nervously as he suddenly had to go outside his base to actually apparate to the suburbs of London. Since he didn't need to be seen by anyone, but he had a feeling there was a trap set up during this meeting. Many people knew about his local dealings with the other breeders that sold dragon eggs on the black market. Only one wizard would cause a devastating toll on his endeavors later on, but he never figured out who it was. All he got out of it was the name, "Rolo" and then suddenly he disappeared off the map. Yet that was still for things to come in the future. Jared put on his mock leather coat and was out the door of his base.
Even as the water greeted him and he was outside his protective barrier, he instantly apparated to the lower suburbs of London again. Finally reaching his designated meeting spot, looking around that the deserted street of Diagon Alley this time of night. Only a few beggars remained on the streets and the local tavern was busy with it's usual dealings. Soon he wandered down the alley towards Knockturn Alley, turning into a side alley right by Borgin and Burkes. Supposely, this dealer was supposed to be here by now, so Jared had his wand in hand a little on edge at this moment.

Letting his head loll back, Harry sighed deeply as he felt the muscles in his neck relax. He slid further down in his chair, his eyes mindlessly glued to the ceiling of his office, dimly lit by a single lighted desk lamp. They were all, simply put, clueless. As soon as they received information about the attack on Hugo, the Ministry scrambled to get everything in control before the public could freak out with panic. And as usual, the Department of Magical Law Enforcement was in another tight spot. They needed to move quickly. Their only problem was they had no idea where to begin. They had no plausible suspect, nor any motive in mind for what brought on the attack.
He could hear people whispering behind him. Stories were beginning to circulate in his floor. They thought that it was no coincidence that Hugo was the first victim. It wasn’t much of a surprise, considering he was the son of Ron and Hermione Weasley. Another version was of the speculation that the new tournament at Hogwarts had triggered everything. Especially now that James was chosen as the champion like how he had been back in his fourth year. Someone wanted revenge, they said. Harry had been trying his best to keep a rational mind about him but he could feel the walls crumble because his family was involved.
Harry lifted his glasses and rubbed his eyes, willing his fatigued mind to stop reeling so he could go back to his work. He pushed the messy stack of papers away from him with a long sweep of his hand and opted to jump to older files. He had been in his seat for hours with no major progress, so he might as well put it away for tomorrow. While he was in the process of rearranging folders, a clipping from a foreign paper caught his attention. He plucked it out from where it was wedged between other articles, peering curiously in the oddly familiar face that grinned maliciously in the background. The figure stood a good distance from the camera and had, if he wasn’t mistaken, a lab coat on.
The longer he stared at the moving image, the more did feel that he had met the man sometime in his early years. He flipped the cut-out over to browse the man’s profile, which was missing a few important details. It seemed that sightings of him varied immensely. Obviously, the man travelled from country to country but there was no significant hint in the succession of his trips. It was no use to try to remember tonight though, not when his brain seems to have been reduced to cold porridge from being overworked. Setting down the random man’s file, he stood up from his chair and grabbed his coat before leaving his office.
He decided to take a walk before finally Apparating home tonight, not wanting to bring home any stress. Coming home to Ginny was what relieved him most, especially in busy nights like this. He couldn’t risk showing any emotional strain in front of his family when everything that happened hasn’t really sunken in, even for him. Harry pulled his coat tighter around him as a soft breeze swept past as he rounded a corner that lead deeper into the quieter streets of Diagon Alley. His eyes snapped to his far right when he heard a soft pop of what seemed like someone Apparating coming from the general direction where the arc that led Knockturn Alley was.
His green eyes squinted behind his glasses as he tried to focus them with the little light that the moon provided. A figure was apparently standing by Borgin and Burkes with his wand oddly drawn out as if he was expecting someone to attack him behind his back. Trying to be as silent as he could, Harry backed up on the wall and hid in the shadows that the shops had cast over the street. He watched the anonymous man patiently and waited for something to happen, retreating a bit when the man’s head momentarily turned to where he was.

Something was off about the meeting, but he wasn't going to give up on meeting the gentleman that said he'd meet him here by now. Even then he knew that he was being watched, and the feeling intensified, unable to shake it off. Strange as it was, his gaze returned to where Harry Potter, the boy who lived, had been standing, but he didn't know about anyone standing there. The glimpse of someone having stood there had caught his eye, so he figured it would be best to move to a safer location now. Jared really didn't want to draw attention to this, but he made it look like an ordinary business deal as he saw the shadows moving slightly.
Soon a man emerged from them, and he was using his gold eye to look at everything around him while his other remained fixated on Jared's eyes. It was obvious someone had taken his eye at some point in time, but he was curious as to why this gentle-man would even help him. After all, one of his main sources was the black market for trading illegal eggs and the crate that the gentleman gave him had some strange documents upon it. Jared instantly brought out his hand to sign some papers silently, and they didn't even speak to each other. It was getting too obvious that someone had followed them, but he just kept on going about his business. Glancing every so often in the direction he had seen the fleeting figure.
Jared's eyebrow raised a little bit at this fact, even as he kept his wand tucked underneath the robes, but he would be well-prepared to defense himself since he had hidden his creatures not too far away after the transition was done. The dragdrake was certainly awaiting his attention back at the lab, but first he had to lose the past that happened to stumble upon him. Even so, as soon as the deal was done Jared was no longer there in the alley as he let the shadows engulf him as he made a quick apparation into the midst of the street on the other side.
The sound was apparent in the night, but he paid no mind since he figured it was just some skulking beggar that had found him. Jared wasn't used to covering his tracks even as the man with the gold eye had apparated to continue his business with other patrons for the night...while Jared had his grasp on a dragon's egg.

Not long after situating himself comfortably in the shadows, Harry saw another figure appear in the scene before him. He watched curiously as the man walked up the other, finding odd that such a meeting needed to take place in the dead of the night. Out of instinct that has been honed for years, he quickly took note of whatever he could get of the two men’s appearances. His eyes easiy registered the man who arrived first had a leather coat over his black clothes but found difficulty with the other who was standing sideways. However, it was apparent through his ragged look and the eccentricity of the accessories he had that meetings like this was his forte.
Despite the awful combination his faulty eyesight and dark surroundings made, Harry was completely sure of what he saw next. The moonlight gleamed across the surface of a rather large object that the raggedy man passed to the other and he instantly knew that it was a dragon egg. He never knew that Weasley family visits to Charlie in Romania could come in handy in cases like this. It was clear that they were dealing with dragon eggs and everyone knew that backdoor trading was illegal. It only gave him another reason to stay ad see what happens. No conversations went on between the two and he watched as the exchange between them went on quickly.
And with another resounding pop, the man he had been watching in the first place disappeared into the night and left the man who handed the dragon egg. He turned from his spot carefully and walked away, his heads swimming with information. Who could be those two men? Why did that man need an egg? But most importantly, why did he have this inkling feeling that he was missing something important? Harry continued to walk down the street, dismissing the faint sound he heard as the other man Apparating away from Knockturn Alley. Besides, he really needed to stop being nosy and putting more work onto himself.
His steps came into a silent halt as he walked in on another figure that looked eerily like the man he just spied on. Harry was still a good distance to formulate a sound plan on how he should approach the situation. Deciding to try his best to get something out of the man, he walked on forward until he was near enough to carry a conversation. “What d’you have there, mate?” he rasped out with a thick Scottish accent, standing where there was the least amount of moonlight.

Jared wasn't really doing anything out of hand, besides he had a crate hiding the precious cargo within. Even if this man was the one tagging him from earlier, he knew fully well that this gentleman wasn't ordinary. After all, Jared wasn't stupid and the smell he carried with him wasn't dangerous as of yet. Deciding to oblige in idle chit chat, he decided to conceal his lie further, and delve into an intricate web of deceit. It was easy for him, since he had gotten away with a lot underneath the ministry's nose, even going as far as actually talking back to the stranger.
"You should know that no one likes it when people sneak up on them, some might think you were doing something shady," he commented greeting the other with obvious dislike already since he wasn't much of a people person. Not many could tell he was actually prone to not getting along with strangers in general. Even with his many creatures usually accompanying him, he had his dragdrake with him in the forest, and if he was seen then his cover would be blown. Using a quick a charm to hide the real dragon's egg within the crate in case this gentleman decided to get too curious.
Having done this previously after he had apparated to make it appear as a harmless pile of clothing, but he was sure that this person was probably smarter than the average joe on the street. Since being out this late meant he was either from the Ministry or another breeder intent on stealing this egg from him. Jared had his hand on his wand underneath his robe, but he kept his head turned so his face wasn't able to be seen even in the cold glow of the moon light. A chill wind passed over his hood and it flipped back as he cursed at it to reveal his disheveled hair. Having had a rough morning, and was now about to get brisked with a dragon's egg.
Nothing was working out this evening, and it was not revealed that his hand was going to his wand as he set the item down for a mere moment. Then continued walking, merely ignoring the stranger for the time being, but he was tense, as well as on edge. It was obvious they both had a common goal to see when the other would give in to their faults. Finally he decided to give in to his curiosity, "And why would you follow a stranger that's on his way out of town in general I wonder," he rasped in a cool, yet unfriendly voice.

As he expected, the man he had just approached wasn’t unfamiliar with the ways of Knockturn Alley. Immediately, he sensed the guarded caution the man carried with the way he regarded him. Harry was impressed with the clever twist the man had made, responding with something that would have put off any other nosy man who was far too stupid for his own good instead of out right blurting his motives. “Just following orders. Them damn aristocrats not wanting to sully their hands with the dirty work,” he reasoned offhandedly, voice still disguised behind an accent that was unlikely of him.
Harry paused for a moment, making sure that he had a clear view of where the man’s hands were. He needed not to be only careful of not revealing himself first but it was important to be aware of everything that’s happening, especially about the little things because sometimes you would be surprised on how essential they can be. Once he was confident that he could manage if the man were to pull something against him, he went on. “Trouble is, I’ve never been on this side. I was supposed to meet someone ‘ere.” He turned his head to the side, as if searching for someone standing along the silent cobbled streets.
He casually stuffed his hands deep in his coat pockets and allowed his eyes to drift on the crate the man lugged with him. Harry couldn’t see behind the Disillusionment charm that cloaked the object but he knew the man couldn’t get rid of the egg that easily. From that, he also gathered that he wasn’t facing a simple henchman that was like what he was pretending to be. It made sense that the man saw to it that he personally carried out the task because dragon eggs aren’t that easy to come across with and not to mention it wasn’t cheap at all, either.
His eyes moved to the man’s head in alarm when he saw movement, his wand arm tensing for a moment. He regained his composure after seeing that it was merely the wind pushing the man’s hood back, revealing a shaggy head of brown hair. Funny, he looks like the photo back in the office he mused silently. But Harry knew better than let his mind wander in the presence of someone that he really didn’t know of. “Maybe you’ve seen the bloke? Almost as tall as you but looks bloody weird,” he continued with a dark chuckle.

Jared had to play this carefully, one wrong move and he could lose this egg. So he had to play it smarter by pretending to act like the gentleman's friend, and perhaps if he handed over the egg, he would at least get off the hook. Of course, if he remembered correctly he knew this bloke when he had been in Hogwarts, even if it was currently his early twenties at the moment. Being a general bad guy wasn't always so easy when you had goody two shoes like him digging around. This wasn't going to end well as he pretended to be staring off into the distance and then just put the crate down on the ground. Stretching his back idly, not going for his wand, since it was obvious this gentleman was wanting to be civil.
Mainly images flickering to one of the few warnings about the Boy Who Lived, and Jared knew fully well who he was dealing with now as he glanced at the man's face attempting to find the so-called scar he had lived with for eternity. No traces of it since it was hard to see in the dark, but he gave the man a creepy smile. One like in the picture on the wanted ad with a creepy smile, and the pointed at his face, "Oiy, seen me somewhere before, then you're obviously not here to talk about how nice it is outside, what can I do for you so I can be on my way?" he asked curiously eyes hinting that he was now no longer in a good mood.
Of course, that really wasn't his decision, but if he had to duel here he would. There was no hostility from Jared as of yet since he really didn't have a reason to be, but he could easily hand over the egg to avoid being followed. Even as he considered his course of action, this conversation was actually amusing him. Then he started to laugh for no reason, at least to Harry it would seem strange for someone who just met him. "Sorry, it's just amusing that you would attept to be buddies with me, when normally I'm usually the one shunning everyone. That's why this encounter seems set up from the get go," he said sternly, his face serious instead now.
Looking at Harry with a look he should know fully well that says he should get lost before things got out of hand. Now why on Earth would the famous Harry Potter back down from a fight? Jared thought, but he knew this was going to be tough to shake his follower as well as the fact he hadn't shown any hostility towards him yet either. "Of course I won't stop you from going with me for a stroll," he said callously. Jared knew fully well that in the forest up ahead he would his little friend here would be doomed if Harry even let him walk out of sight that is.

Harry took a slight step backwards, noticing that the man had been glancing too intently at him. Concealed by the darkness or not, he couldn’t risk giving off even a hint about his identity. Although staying that way always proved to be a great challenge for him given that his face was occasionally plastered across the daily papers. The man flashed him a menacing grin and he instantly cursed himself for being so slow. He was now standing in front of the man who was in the photo he saw just before he left his office. What even had him more frustrated was the fact that he was talking to the man whose face was plastered up a wanted sign he passes by everyday.
He threw his hands up in front of him, acting like a properly scared snatcher. His instincts told him otherwise and urged him to confront the man but he couldn’t trust himself to give in. This man was underestimated for years. It must take some considerable skill to remain completely hidden from the Ministry despite a large scale illegal operation. He couldn’t blame other law enforcers though because Jared left almost no trace of him when he fled years ago after being expelled from Hogwarts. True, news of his gutsy experiment spread like wildfire but it had been years so lingering information can’t be a hundred percent accurate anymore.
“All I want is to do what I’m told as fast as I can and get me money,” he replied. His eye caught the brief glint that bounced off from his glasses when it caught a soft beam of moonlight. Hoping his telltale glasses hadn’t given him away yet, he spoke again in a gruff Scottish voice. “I saw you Apparate and thought maybe he’s the one that gave that to you,” he motioned a hand over to the crate that the man had confidently put on the ground. “No set up.” Harry stood his ground, eyes calculatingly fixed on the leering man in front of him. After hearing his sudden laughter, he knew that it was no use hiding.
Crouching down beside the disguised crate, he tapped the surface with his bare knuckle. “Now why would we have to go anywhere if we have something worth discussing in front of us here?” he said calmly. Harry knew that he was pushing his luck with the man, but the last thing he wanted was to go home with nothing just when this is possibly the first encounter with Jared that people working on this case had within a long time. He wouldn’t just let go that easily especially now that he had but a small clue to help determine what exactly this mad man was up to.

Jared was starting to see signs of hesitance, which meant this plot was either folly to get more information out of him. Of course, Jared was very hidden about his own work, but as for how they ministry had gotten his wanted information he had forgotten that incident. Plus, he thought he had dealt with the nuisance that had leaked his information previously before and now he was about to get into a duel. It was unlikely that Jared wanted to stay here, but he also wanted to get away from the presence of this gentleman. Even as he walked up to knock on the make-shift illusion.
As it was rather cleverly placed, that and Jared was pretty adept at using his wits, plus his ambitions were too strong to get caught now. Considering to stay civil, making him look as dangerous as the wanted ads said he was. There was no hostility being felt from the other, but the substance of fear was of course unsettling as he was testing the nerves of his questioner. The answeree was obviously prone to answer the question in riddles. One might say he was trying to get the other to reveal himself without giving too much information out in general.
"I'm sorry, but you seem very familiar...I believe we my have met somewhere before. I doubt I'd forget a face, even if I have had a nasty habit of not leaving them in one piece," he grinned his hand wasn't reaching for his wand just yet. So for now, Jared would consider this man rather lucky he hadn't already pulled a spell on him, but if he got out of this by giving up a dragon's egg then so be it. The charm wouldn't wear off until morning anyways, as he was using his magic for other things at the time being. Jared tried catching other glimpses behind the glasses, but they seemed awkwardly familiar to the point it chilled him to the bone.
Wondering when this dark fellow would slip up to reveal his true identity, there was really only one way as he brought out his wand. "I think I better get a better look at your face, lumos" he spat out towards the gentleman in front of him. Jared had his wand pointed directly at his face to try to upset his balance, of course, even the moonlight had an advantage already. It may have been brief, however, if the figure tried running away it would be one of the Ministry dogs trying to outdo him or another trader wanting to steal the egg back.

Harry couldn’t give a small chuckle to Derril’s statement. Although he never was one to doubt another’s capabilities and that he was fully aware of how dangerous this man was, he wasn’t entirely sure if Jared could actually render his face unrecognizable. Perhaps he would have succeeded back when they were students and young men with gangly limbs, but not at this moment. “Surely, sir… that Ministry ad wouldn’t’ be blown up all over the place for nothin’ now would it?” He gave the wood’s surface one last intrusive touch, silently gauging how strong the charm that the man had cast on it was. He was a mad man, all right. Your typical clever mad man.
As he temporarily averted his attention away from Derril, the man advance towards him and stuck his wand within inches of his face and cast Lumos before he could ever react. The sudden burst of light rendered him momentarily blind. Panic sparked inside his chest as a white mist-like film blurred his vision but his instincts quickly kicked in. His arm whipped in front of him in retaliation and aimed at the other man. A rather strong gust from his wand swept in front of him, pushing the man’s wand arm away. He staggered back to his feet until he assumed an aggressive stance, still holding his wand out in front of him.
His movement sent him into a spot where the moonlight shone down perfectly; jerking him out from the veil that darkness had given him. There was no more chance to hide his jet black hair and black rimmed glasses from Jared and he knew that the man would be instantly putting his guards up. Thinking it was about time to get to the point, Harry chose to take charge of the situation. His fingers grasped his wand steadier as he spoke. “That thing at Hogwarts was never enough for you was it, Derril?” He chose to be careful with his words. For some reason, playing with the past never really pleased anyone. He could even say the same with himself.
With his eyes trained on the man’s form, he let more taunts spew out of his mouth. “Really now… dragon eggs?” He gave the crate between them a bold kick, his boot’s contact with the wood causing the fragile content stir inside. “Isn’t that a bit shoddy for your standards? Maybe time has finally caught up with your insane mind…” his voice trailed off mockingly. Harry wanted to squeeze more out of Jared and tried to rile him up. He itched for more information. He wanted irritation and anger to obscure his sense of reason and set him off concentration.

Jared was definitely not going to let this moment be ruined by him and as fast as Potter had kicked the dragon's egg he sooner had it in his arms already having sheathed his wand. Wondering what on Earth he could want with it, but he wasn't going to give it up easily. Of course, a strange roar from the forest could be heard as fire spouted upwards not really giving away anything as it was just a bright light that wasn't worth Jared's time to look at right now. If he were to lose this meddlesome rat, then he could continue with his operations in privacy. Having confronted him during the night was a huge mistake as he smiled, rather confident.
"Yes, yes, everyone knows about that, and I don't really mind. It's not like I really cared about any of the student's lives to begin with. I was more worried about the creature being hurt than them," he said coldly, his eyes glistening while he smiled towards Harry. Perhaps this is why he was as mad as they suggested, and shouldn't have even been let out of Hogwarts in the first place. Even with all of the signs of trouble during his stay there, the many students having been bitten in the forbidden forest by some strange creature. Those incidents had been isolated from even the Headmaster himself.
Jared knew fully well how to cover his tracks, but he had thought his plan tonight was flawless. Surely, there were precautions taken to stop him from seeing where he went. With the gust of wind, Jared, had used that time to pick up the egg to move behind Potter, but had run off to the end of the bridge he had been about to cross. Surely, he could have easily bested him then and there, no telling what else may happen between the two. Crazy as he may be, he was still a threat to everyone that came in contact with him except those that he considered his friends, few as those may be they shared the same goals as him.
Finally, he was almost home free, but he didn't run, no, he walked...letting the boy who lived catch up to him on purpose. "I have a riddle for you, what has two legs and can't run?" he asked him, curiously soon turning around now that he knew the forest was near him, and he could easily have a few words with this character. Oh yes, he was having fun, and he was sure that Potter could see it too. As fun as this little game of Mouse and Cat went after all. Even now he was about to just toss the egg into the water to make it seem inhuman.
Jared had gone too far to lose it now, like previously mentioned he was bound to keep using all the tricks he knew of. "Oh, I warn you though, I wouldn't keep following me, you might meet an untimely demise," he was slowly walking back wards, wand having been put away it was obvious he didn't want to duel right now.

The man’s words in front of him came into his ears as nothing but senseless blabber. At the moment, he was far too distracted by the low rumble that emanated deep from the forest that was a few meters from them. He swore that he never heard anything like that before and could only wonder what creature lurked behind the loud growl. A bright light that soon followed only sent his mind reeling with suspiscion. It was not wise for him to lose his attention on Derril; he had given the man the chance to grab his possession and find his way around Harry, who turned around sharply once he realized that he had lost the upper hand on the situation that he relied on.
Ironically, he felt a surge of anger shoot through his heart. Harry needed not to look back on the war. At a young age he had learned the great importance of valuing a person’s life. And to hear Derril utter such soulless word had him move his fingers tighter around his wand, a hundred of jinxes wanting to fly off his tongue. “You’re bloody twisted,” he muttered with spite as he took wide determined steps towards the man who was grinning manically at his form, as if he was thoroughly taking delight and pride on the confession he just made.
Derril’s next word set Harry off. With a frustrated grunt, his steps grew quicker until he was in a complete run. His eyes were trained on the man in front of him. As he moved closer, it seemed that Derril was also closing the space between himself and the thick, dark forest behind him. Harry’s steps began to falter, unsure of what could Derril have up in his sleeves to his advantage. He didn’t need to review this man’s files to know how things could completely turn around for him right now. It wasn’t like Harry to step into unknown territory that could very well be the cause of his death.
His eyebrows knitted in honest confusion as he tried to process what Jared had said. He knew better to believe everything this man says to him, but on the other hand it could also be the truth. “What are you talking about?” he demanded, still advancing steadily towards Derril. He threw away the idea of using tact now. He was quickly growing impatient at the way Derril tried to toy with him. How can he have been escaping with all his shenanigans?

Well, wasn't this lovely, the great Harry Potter was losing his cool over a few select words that made him laugh as the anger on his face only delighted Jared. Oh, how he loved human emotions and how twisted for him to laugh at that it seemed odd too, although he had to comment. "I'm sorry, insane would indicate that I'm doing the same thing over and over, where as I'm not, I'm merely changing my tactics each time. So as far as I'm concerned you should stop where you are. As, I'd rather not see a precious "life" get hurt," he said to him. Obviously mocking the fact that he cared about all that was close to him, and attaching yourself to a person just made you all the more weaker.
Of course, Jared knew from previous mistakes that the Lord Voldemort himself prided himself in power, where as Jared just deluded himself into thinking he only needed himself. There really was no way for him to turn to the good side to begin with, and after many incidents with fellow students that wished him well, he merely waved them off not recognizing them. Some even went as far to uttering death threats to the point where he just set his little pet after them and tear them a new one. Oh, it was so much fun hearing the crunch of bones in his hears and human flesh being torn off of it. Giving him goosebumps, he was soon looking at Harry. Now his gaze had dropped to an intense stare, as Jared was actually going to let his guard go down further.
"All you want is this right? Then I doubt I could let you get away with this, but the egg is mine. It was a pleasure meeting you, Mr. Potter, I will be taking my leave if you will," he commented. Easily backing away faster the more that he was advancing towards him. Jared needed to find a way out of here, and the only way he was going to apparate was with his beloved creature in the forest. That deadly drag-drake, the very same one he had created at the class, and almost wreaked so much havoc on everybody until the teacher himself/herself had stopped it all before it got worse. Jared honestly cursed them for being so darn responsible, and should have had some fun in what he was doing with the creatures.
Even as illegal as it was, he was hoping at least the care of magical creatures professor would understand his desire, but he was wrong. Utterly betrayed he had moved on, and now considered making a notorious name for himself just for the fame. Mainly to attract ministry workers, such as the one in front of him as he suddenly had his wand out, ready to duel the infamous Harry Potter.
