Ivan was glad they had set this up, and each champion was receiving a special invitation to be invited cordially to attend the revealing of the first task. Slightly amused by this idea, it only would happen every so often, but it wasn't like him to get a huge idea without the help of a certain Roxanne Weasley. The smell of her idea was all over it, but he had gone to extra lengths to plot this out. Especially with James being on the inside as an inside man with no clue as to what was going on, yes that was the key to victory here. Ivan was wearing his Gryffindor vest and the dress pants along with the shoes. Hiding up in the rafters setting up all the feathers that would gladly fall down after the tar that was magically stuck to the top of the ceiling.
The room was fail-safe, but they had to be prepared to expect someone to notice it and he had ended up using a disillusionment charm, a very potent one, to keep it up. Yes, he was pretty clever when it came to concealing things, but this was going to be so funny he doubt he'd be able to give himself away. Now he had to send out the invitations, that was phase one and had yet to be completed. Even if this so-called fail-safe plan of theirs was brought out to be revealed, Ivan could easily just blame it on James. Even if Roxanne was indeed his cohort in this scheme altogether, there would be no denying how he felt.
Now all he had to do was find a decent hiding spot, but now he had to think of where nobody would look at all. Using a charm on himself would slightly wear off the effect he wanted this to have and Roxanne was supposed to be helping him. Surely the prankster blood in her ran wild, but Ivan actually did have her help setting this up. Realizing she had probably done most of the work setting up the tar to be perfect and the feathers well hidden. James would have sent out the invitations towards his own house, but he knew he hadn't told Alaya a thing. Since, this was supposed to be a 'surprise' that all champions would get.
Smirking he just decided to go with the flow and used a bedazzling hex on himself to keep him invisible to the naked eye. Now all he had to do was not move, and eventually found a place to hide in the corner, shuffling some things around so it looked like it was messy on purpose. It wouldn't look like anything besides a bunch of books falling over, and hoping no one would actually clean it up if they had some sort of OCD. Ivan wasn't really screwed if that happened, it would just make him more liable to let up on the charm he had focused on to keep up for now.
Finally signaling to Roxanne that it was safe to wait for the champions to get there, he stayed invisible as he blended in with his surroundings, as was the properties of such a hex. Not even breathing heavily either, he was far away from the door where no one would actually be there. Hoping James would actually be the first one to show up. No, actually, he hoped for someone else to show up first that way this could go way easier.
Notes; Finished this post, please respond now...all champions and Roxanne Weasley can now start posting.

All of this was very naughty which only heightened the giddiness that Roxanne felt. This prank was going to be epic, no one would see it coming and it had multiple victims. Her father would be so proud whether she was caught or not. Roxanne doubted she would ever get caught though, it was in her nature and luck that she always seemed to get away with things, well other than being late to class. With all the preparation put into the task at hand Roxanne couldn't wait for it to be over, to hear the shrill screams of the champions as tar fell from the ceiling and being doused in feathers. But more importantly she couldn't wait to hear the talk in the halls about the amazing prank someone pulled and that someone would be her, along with her partner in crime and crush, Ivan Kirke.
The two had met on a random night and she had spoiled the prank he had been setting up. Roxanne could tell he was a bit sore about the event but she figured this would make up for it. After she had got the invitations passed out by owl, for if she done it herself it would seem very suspicious, she headed up to where the it would all take place. Surely the champions would be too excited upon hearing about their first task that they wouldn't think twice about it being a set up.
Roxanne entered the room in time to see Ivan setting up the finishing touches. She couldn't help but smile at him. She was ready for this. She watched as Ivan put a charm on himself to hide from the champions and Roxanne did the same. After practicing the disillusionment charm for the passed couple weeks she was finally able to get it down, just in time for the prank. She moved over near Ivan, daring not to utter a sound, as she waited for the people to stroll in with the fake invitations.

James was super-excited and he was already aware that this was just a prank for all of the other champions but to make it look legit he showed up. Just cause he was a good-natured Gryffindor with a great conscience for mischief plots, and he could easily hide how susceptible he was to persuasion. Right now he was just awaiting on everyone else to show up, but being the first one there constituted the plan may as well just fail if no one else even bothered showing up. A task as simple as this was to show up to except be greeted by an onslaught of what he remembered as chickens.
Sure, that the Slytherin team would get what was coming to them and James would be so much happier if it was just them that showed up. Somehow, he was doubting at that time that someone was about to make a remark at anything but the tar and feathers floating about them. Already thinking of the many different sayings he could use for so many people, but he kept his mind blank just in case any leglimens walked into the room. There was no certainty that any of them knew that certain skill but he was going to keep his cool either way, pretending to examine the floor tiles in the room. Shuddering in disgust as he attempted to wait and pretended like nothing was wrong.
Curiously searching the room to glance for his cousin, or even Ivan, his fellow prankster, but he knew that his common pranks weren't as miniscule as this. No, he liked to pull pranks on a much grander scale at times, and this just happened to be the case. James had brought the Marauder's map wit him, and decided to look at it for fun. Noting where they stood he soon glanced at them in their direction waving amusingly. It was obvious that he was ready to vacate the premises when the feathers fell to just folly their plan a little, but he didn't want to get covered in tar. So just relaxing for now, he awaited other visitors.
