It was days like these that Aurora wondered why she had decided to take up a job at Hogwarts, in the library no less. Still she could remember as if it were yesterday when she had been in her seventh year and not wanting to leave. The knowledge that could be found in the school was great, if one knew where to look. The knowledge of the books that the restricted section held were enough for her to keep her job as a Hogwarts librarian, although one day she might decide to move on. For now she was content to keep her post, although days like this had made her crazy.
Ravneclaws were one thing. She often found most of them to be annoying, and always flaunting their apparent superiority they believed they had when it came to intelligence. Gryffindors however were an entirely different story. There weren’t even a few of them she could tolerate. She absolutely despised the lot of them. But oh no they couldn’t merely stop at just being Gryffindor. No they had to ruin one of the oldest books in the whole library. See that was another thing she couldn’t stand. The people who dared ruined the books of the library. It was now up to her to pull the book others might need or want, and repair it carefully. Stupid Gryffindors. A scowl on her face she kicked the culprits out of the library and took a seat up at her desk. While she couldn’t exactly kick the remaining ones out of the library without good reason she would have liked to. Settling for just keeping a very close eye on them, she took up the task of fixing the ruined book.
Fixing the book wasn’t all that hard. Just a few good spells and it was as perfect as it was before. Aurora carefully slipped the book into a drawer inside the desk and rested her chin into her hands. It wasn’t a graceful way to sit, or at least not in her opinion. But there was little else to do until she could gladly banish the students from the library and close it up for the night. But there were still hours to go before curfew and oh so much could happen between now and then.

Elliott was simply taking a stroll that evening. He decided to let his feet take him where they wanted, not really caring at the moment. The one thing he did want to do though, was escape the Ravenclaw commons. Everyone was so serious, and it was so quiet. Sure, he liked keeping his grades up and his nose in a book like the majority of others in his house, but he needed a break from the constant studying.
He looked up sharply as a few Gryffindors bumped into him. Startled, he brushed it off, as they seemed well on their way elsewhere. Looking at his surroundings, he noticed where he was. He smiled softly. The library. Oh, what a coincidence. This also seemed a place he would turn in his own house, losing himself in the mystery of the mass of books the place held.
He entered the library, hands in his pockets, avoiding eye contact with the others in the place. He paused for a moment, just taking in the smells of old and new books alike, and the quiet murmur and rustle the serene place offered. This was why he loved coming here. It was a home away from home, somewhere he could escape to.
He strode through the library, careful to avoid people's table's not wanting to upset anyone. In doing so, he bumped against the librarian's desk.
"Oh, I'm sorry," he murmured, looking at the young woman with wide eyes. "I didn't watch where I was going." His face held a slightly worried expression as he waited for the woman to snap at him. It wouldn't have been the first time someone had.

Lysander walked around the school with a book in hand. He was heading for the library to return the book he had finished reading. He thought it was a good read, but in all honesty Dreadful Denizens of the Deep wasn’t that interesting. He wondered what he would read today as he reached the floor the library was on. Maybe he would get something about magical creatures, or maybe a book on charms, but whatever he chooses maybe it would be a better read than this one. He questioned why he even checked it out in the first place. Maybe it was because at the time he was really interested to know what could possibly be living in the lake besides the giant squid. Whatever his reason though it wasn’t really worth checking this book out. Sure he did learn a few things, but he was looking for something interesting at the time.
Lysander eventually made it to Library and saw to his astonishment someone was standing at the Library desk already. He didn’t know if the student was checking out a book or not, but he walked over to him anyways. He needed to hand his book to the Librarian anyways and this was the fastest way to do it. When he got there he noticed that the guys awkwardly said something about not watching where he was going. Maybe this was a good time to be a bit of a hero and rescue this guy from this awkwardness, but would he be able to? Lysander took the chance and walked over to the Librarian and said, “I would like to return this book please.” This would hopefully break the silence and maybe if he was lucky be able to make a new friend in the process. Lysander handed his book to the librarian which was in just the same condition it was in when he checked it out which wasn’t much since he was very old and very worn possibly it had been in the library for fifty years.

Aurora had been busy glaring at the occupants of the library? Why couldn't they just leave? All they seemed to be doing was chattering not so quietly and causing possible destruction to the books of the library. It was when a small student bumped into her desk that she turned her gaze to him. It was a Ravenclaw. And here she thought that Hufflepuffs were clumsy. Still she knew that should she snap at the child he might run to a professor and she didn't feel much like a visit with the headmaster on her temper, again. Shrugging her shoulders she glanced over the kid as she wondered if there was soemthing he actually needed. As the librarian it was her duty to help even if she despised ravenclaws. "Just be more careful next time." There that was perfectly nice enough and she hadn't bitten the kids head off.
Fate seemed to test her as she heard another voice and groaned inwardly as she saw yet another Ravenclaw. Why weren't they over with their little friends showing off how smart they all thought they were. Even worse he had asked for help and she had to. But she didn't have to be happy about it. The ravenclaw handed her a very old book and Aurora quickly looked it over. "I trust this is the same condition you received it in?" She had to ask even if it was obviously old and should be replaced so as not to be damaged. It was likely no one cared about the books as much as she did though. The two were standing there and she sighed. Did they need something else? "Was there something else you two needed? A certain book?
