Kingsley was just enjoying a refreshing day at home now that he wasn't dealing with anything at Hogwarts for the time being. It seemed amusing to him that everyone always wanted him to work on something, but since it was sometime near the weekend, he could actually focus on spending time with his family. Even so he was in a normal wardrobe for a change, wearing just some normal bath-robes that were used when getting out of the shower. Since Kingsley obviously didn't feel like getting dressed today due to the fact he wanted to spend some quality time with his own family. Of course, Bartholomew would be the only exception since he was out doing god knows what with his fellow auror's or working on the weekend.
That boy kept busy, and was definitely proud of him as a smile was brought to Kingsley's lips. It was the perfect morning, a shower, fresh cup of coffee, and now he was in the living room reading the wizard news. Nothing could have been better, but that wasn't all he was waiting for her as he usually woke up earlier than his wife. Wondering when she'd be down, even as he remained on the main floor, and their master bedroom was on the third floor where the drafts were usually the worst. Kingsley had maintained the upkeep on the house when he had been home, but now that he had been placed as Headmaster at Hogwarts it was harder to get things done.
Kingsley forgot what it was like during these peaceful times when he wasn't so busy with Hogwarts, and now there were another matter of circumstances that were bothering him. That first attack had shocked him, and had caused an initial reaction to the point he almost considered shutting the school down. Of course, he kept it running, just as Dumbledore had when this happened, but Kingsley seriously doubted a basilisk was involved this time. Having heard of Harry Potter's ordeals, but he knew that another one could easily be hatched. If it was, then the school would definitely be in grave peril, as he ran a hand across his forehead in thought.
Soon he let all worries disappear as he calmly sighed, exhaling and inhaling, still trying to enjoy the weekend while he could. "Funny, here you'd think taking a break would take your mind off things," he said to no one in particular.
