Post by RONALD BILLIUS WEASLEY on Jun 21, 2011 18:34:44 GMT -6
The Hovel was a huge house, just the way that Ron and Hermione wanted it. After all, with Ron’s parents getting older and the Weasley Family getting bigger, Ron had figured that if they got a big enough house they could start hosting all of the Weasley events, as well as many other events that they decided to put together. And the event that Ron was getting ready for at the moment was the annual Weasley Halloween Party. He missed the Halloween Feast back when he was at Hogwarts and figured that Hermione and him could make it an event at their house, especially with all of the kids now in school, they could all enjoy some company with adults and no little kids running around or fear that a child would get into the liquor.
Ronald was busy setting up the last of the directions, some pumpkins on the front steps of the house that he had magically carved different faces on. It was getting dark out as the party was in the evening, but he knew that guests would start showing up soon.
After lighting the last pumpkin he headed inside where it was decorated with pumpkins, spider webs, orange and black streams, and other various Halloween Decorations. He of course was dressed up for the event wearing a long black cloak and fake fangs so that he looked like a vampire. He didn’t go all out, he did a more simple approach as he preferred to go out on the decorations, he did of course use a spell to change his eye color to red for the night.
He walked through the living room to the kitchen where a long table was sat up filled with all sorts of refreshments, including pumpkin juice, butterbeer, firewhiskey, pumpkin pasties, and more. Pretty much any sort of Wizarding food out there. It would just be snacks for the night for everyone to munch on as they didn’t want to make a full meal.
Feeling accomplished at how much work him and Hermione put into the place, Ronald took a seat on the couch and waited for guests to arrive. He sure hoped some people would get there soon and he wondered where it was that Hermione was off doing in the house. Perhaps she was doing some last minute cleaning.
OCC Pretty much any adult that the Weasley's would know or that work at the Ministry. None of the Hogwarts Professors or Staff members would attend as they would be at the Halloween feast at Hogwarts.

It was the night of their Halloween party and Hermione still didn't know what to wear. It seemed to her that no matter if she was in the wizarding world or the muggle that costumes for women got shorter every year. Hermione was convinced that both worlds were out to get her as there was no way she would be caught dead in the sheer fabrics or the dangerously short and low cut. If it wasn't for hours and hours spent in the last shop she could find the morning of the party she probably wouldn't have dressed up at all. A morning spent shopping was a waste for Hermione when she could be sneaking some work in on her translation of the tales of beedle the bard that Dumbledore had given her all those years ago. By the time she had returned to the Hovel it was time to start setting up the party.
Ron had already started with the decorations so Hermione had started right away on the cooking. Not only was most of the Weasley family bound to show up but then there was the people that Hermione and Ron worked with at the ministry. After years of having taken over for Molly, Hermione knew she might as well cook as much food as one would cook for an army, she was sure that her guests would eat plenty of it. There was still so much to do that Hermione had at first used her wand and had the vegetables start chopping and preparing themselves so she could some of the last minute cleaning. First Hermione went through the hallway and other areas of the house to make sure everything was in its place and was neat. She took great pride in the home she shared with her family and wanted everyone to see it at it's best.
Usually though with the children at Hogwarts it wasn't hard to keep the house spotless. Between her and Ron they spent a lot of time working. Satisfied that the house was clean and presentable she returned to the kitchen and started preparing the rest of their dinner. At first her cooking skills hadn't been much but over the years they had improved. Hermione was not one to accept less than perfect and she worked hard to get her cooking up to where it was now. She smiled fondly at the memories she had of learning to cook, and had burnt quite a bit before she had gotten the hang of it.
Glancing at the clock she realized that she wasn't ready and people would start arriving soon. With dinner finished she placed warming charms on all of the dishes until they were all arrived and ready to eat. Retreating to her bedroom she changed into her costume. It was simple but that was the way she liked thhings. Slipping on her whilte dress with a gold belt around the middle, she used her wand to tame her hair and make them fall in soft curls. It would have been so easy to by one of those witch costumes but that would have been stupid. So she had chosen to go as a greek goddess, Athena. Putting her dirty clothing out of sight she left her bedroom and shut the door behind her. Finally finding her husband sitting she smiled as she sat beside him. The red eyes kind of freaked her out but otherwise it was a great costume. "A vampire Ron?"

George had been planning his costume for Ron and Hermione's halloween party since September. That's how much thought and planning went into his costumes every year. And this years had to be much better than last years. And since he couldn't decide George had gotten two costumes. After all there were plenty of rooms at the Hovel for him to change into. And Angelina wasn't going to know which costume he was in. Yes George had kept his costume a secret from even his wife, and she was going to be so scared when she walked through the room. He hoped Harry would be showing up as well, there was nothing like getting a good scare out of everyone. Though to be fair he was going to arrive and let Hermione at least know it was him, she had some pretty nasty hexes and he wasn't about to be cursed beyond repair. For this great event George had to close up his shop a bit early so he had plenty of time to prepare. After all there was no point in doing a costume if you weren't going to do it right. And with a pop he apparated right outside of his house and finished crossing the lawn by foot. Maybe it was paranoia but they had it set up so that no one could directly apparate into their home. And it was better privacy that way. Making sure his wife in question wasn't around he slipped into the bedroom and shut the door. There he stared at the two costumes he had purchased. One one hand there was the voldemort one and it was eerily similiar to the real thing. At first when he had bought it he had thought it would be a good laugh but now well he wasn't sure that anyone would find it funny and he'd rather not bring everyone down. He would take it along just in case though, just in case he decided to change. He would just go with his second one then. Pulling that out of the closet he slipped on his wicked rabbit costume. He supposed it was the scarified look to the rabbit from that alice in wonderland Hermione had told him about once and he decided to go with it. At least with this costume he didn't have to spend a whole bunch of time getting ready and applying makeup. After all George wasn't as pale and sickly looking as Voldemort had been. And he may have been down an ear but at least he had his nose. Ready as he would ever be he left his own home and headed to the Hovel. George was George so he knocked once before entering. On the couch was Ron the Vampire and Hermione. And as always Hermione was the better looking of the two. Wasting no time he took Hermione's hand. "Hermone my darling as beautiful as ever." Turning to his brother he grinned. It was still as fun to pick on Ron as it had been when they were kids. "Ronald whatever happened to your eyes. Better looking than normal" he teased. Yes it was good to be at another gathering. And hopefully his Angelina would show up soon.

What a fantastic idea! Having a party for Halloween for the family in which everyone could dress up to either scare or impress the other family members. Angelina couldn’t say she wasn’t happy or excited for this event. She like her husband had been looking for a costume to wear for the party. The two didn’t see each other during this time very often as they wanted to surprise each other. Knowing her husband George he would surely be dressing in something comedic. After all he was the owner of a joke shop so it only seemed fitting he would do that so Angelina wanted to take a similar approach. She liked a good laugh herself and that is why she married George, but what level was she going to take it on? A question that still haunted her now even though she had already found herself the outfit she was going to wear. She had gotten home and based on the feel of the house it seemed that George had already left for the party. This was actually a good thing as there was going to be lots of editing to her appearance for this outfit. She needed to cut and dye her hair, shorten and widen her body a bit, whiten her skin, and add a few wrinkles to her face. Angelina was certainly glad she was great at transfiguration this made it so much easier to make these changes. When she finished with her appearance she had to admit she amazed herself. She looked just like that despising women who thought her once in school. Now to get dressed which surprisingly after how long it took to transfigure her face didn’t take long at all. With her complete outfit on she was ready to go to the party. She left her home and walked a few feet out and turned on the spot leaving her home with just a loud pop. She then appeared near the hovel where Ron and Hermione lived. The place was big and was the perfect size to host parties like this. Angelina loved the parties the tow hosted as it brought the family together and friends who she may have not seen in forever. She took a deep breath feeling slightly nervous for wearing this costume. She needed to pull the act perfectly though so she fixed her face to show the annoying little face Umbridge had always had on during her school years and walked to the door. She knocked once and using her newly white hand she opened the door. The room was fairly empty right now as not most of the family was there yet. Currently the only ones there were Ron, Hermione, and some person in a rabbit suit. She looked at Ron and Hermione and doing her best to impersonate Umbridge said, “For the greater good. I must do what must be done.” Her voice still had a slight inflection of her own voice, but she was hoping this would be enough to make at least Ron and Hermione jump. She did have her hand ready with her wand just in case though one of them attacked her thinking she was the real thing. Her wand was covered by her shawl of course so they would have no idea she even had it out, but precautions were needed when wearing such a costume. Then again Hermione was here and she was always a very smart witch so maybe she would be able to see though the outfit.

Ginny had never gotten the chance to dress as a princess and to act like one for a night. It was just about every girls dream yet whenever Halloween had come, she had always been handed second hand costumes. This year was going to be different. Just because she was in her fortys didn't mean she couldn't live the dream.
She still had ages to the party and she was home alone. Tempted to apparate to the Hovel now, she wondered how Hermione was coping with dinner. She thought against it and decided to make desert instead, surely Hermione already had too much on her plate with just dinner. Tying her long red hair back, she moved to the kitchen, flicking her wand at various things as she went about making different sweets. Pumpkin pasties, devil's food cake and even a sinful pudding that had heaps of firewhiskey in it.
After a few hours, she wiped her forehead as she stepped back and looked at the cakes. Perfect, now all she had to do was shower and change into her costume. She hoped Harry wasn't caught up in work.
Ginny looked at herself in the mirror, the last of the sunlight caught her jewelry and tiara. Her hair curled and left hanging. The dress she had was a pale blue. Damn she looked good, she smiled to herself.
Harry was still no where to be seen and so after writing a quick note saying she had already left for the Hovel, she apparated with the food she had made. Sweeping through to the kitchen, she placed desert down on the counter before heading out to where the others were. "Hey, she smiled, "Dinner smells good Hermione."

Victoire rushed around her room at the Leaky Cauldron. She was going to be late! Late! Grabbing her costume, she slid out of her pajama pants and shirt and pulled the white hippie dress down over her slim frame. Next she pulled on a suede vest with fringe and placed a headband around her head. Which completed her hippie retro costume. She slid her feet into a pair of sandals and turned on her feet, apparating from her room. She landed in the center of a room full of guests and smiled. Not guests, FAMILY! Vic smiled and hugged people as she walked around.
Hermione and Ron were already here, surprise surprise! She walked over and greeted them warmly, placing a kiss on each of their cheeks in the same fashion that her own mother would choose. She did take after her. Her thick blonde curls bounced around her thin face as she flounced away, off to meet some other family members. She patted her Aunt Ginny's shoulder as she walked by, whispering a faint hello.
George and Angelina were here too. She smiled and said hello to her other Uncle and Aunt. She moved to a table of food and looked around, really taking in her surroundings. Uncle Ron had really gone all out this year! There were streamers everywhere, glowing jack-o-lanterns, which she suspected might talk to her, and thick white spider webs. She had no doubt there was not a single spider here though, as he detested the beasts, and she didn't blame him.
Vic grabbed a cup of drink and watched her family co-mingle. She sort of wished that Teddy was here. He was close enough to family really. But she wanted him here for other reasons. Her own personal reasons.

Post by HARRY JAMES POTTER on Jun 26, 2011 1:02:39 GMT -6
Pushing their front door open, Harry was greeted by the dark that enveloped the whole house. A pleasantly familiar scent of perfume wafted in the air and almost instantly a small smile came to his lips. He wasn’t sure how he felt about special occasions like Ron and Hermione’s party. Seeing his family and friends definitely made him love such evenings, but Ginny always knew how to keep him close by because of how absolutely enchanting she looked. He tossed his old leather satchel on the living room table and made his way to their bedroom.
Harry felt a little guilty when he saw the note his wife had left for him. Even before when he was still in training, he promised himself to not let work strangle the time he had for his family. As he rummaged the closet for a crisp white shirt, he hoped that everyone who was now probably at the Hovel could understand why he was late. After changing out of his work robes and into his shirt, he finished the look with a plain black neck tie and headed out back to the living room.
Grabbing the bag that a small Muggle items store in Diagon Alley Owled to him the day before, he dumped the contents out on the couch. A black Bobby Cop plastic hat bounced once on the cushion, before tumbling down on the floor with a thump. He slid his leather shoe into the strap of the hat and brought his leg up to retrieve the prop, tucking it under his arm. With a single sweep of his wand, he spelled the all of the lights off and walked out, locking the door behind him with a soft click.
Harry closed his eyes and felt a compressing feeling wrap around him. He honestly never got used to the sensation that Apparating brought. It’s not the nicest feeling, but was definitely a lot better than Flooing and ending up covered head to toe with soot. The first thing that caught his attention was the large murderous looking rabbit in the far centre of the room. He quickly recognized George with the teasing grin he was flashing to Ron. His eyebrows rose, impressed with how far George took his costume.
He was about to head for the couch where everyone gathered when he saw Victoire standing by a row of tables. He reverted to her direction and walked up behind her. “Now who should I arrest for keeping you away from us for too long?” he said, wrapping an arm low on her shoulders.

Of course Connor had planned to show up to the Halloween Party at the Weasley’s house as he usually did seeing as he was good friends with Teddy. Yes the broom maker needed to get out of his shop once in a while as Teddy often told him. But this year was different for when he showed up for he was bringing a girl with him! That’s right, Connor Lee Temple is bringing a “date” to the Halloween Party, it’s a miracle that he managed to find a girl to bring without even leaving his shop. Still he knew he needed to get out of the shop more, especially since he was beginning to like this girl. So be warned, this young man may start to think that this is more than just two friends going to a party together.
Now what had Connor planned on going as for this party? A pirate of course! He had gotten him one of those captain hats with a red feather sticking out of hit, a pair of tan swashbuckling pants, a white shirt with a brown coat over it. He had some earring he stuck to his ear, as he would never really pierce his ear, and random bits of jewelry all over his clothes, much too his amused close to the pirate named Captain Jack Sparrow that his brother-in-law had told him about. Actually it was his brother in law that had helped him find things for his costume. He had told Felicity Jones, the girl that he was bringing to the party, that he was going to the party as a pirate and that the two of them should coordinate with each other because it would be fun.
Once he was sure that he had everything in place and was ready to go, he grabbed a box of chocolate frogs and quick apparated on the spot to Felicity’s place. He smiled at her when he saw that she was waiting outside of him. Keeping the chocolate frogs in one hand, he took her hand in the other. “My you look rather dashing, if I do say so myself,” he blushed lightly. “Ready to go?” and then moments later they had apparated on the spot and ended up just outside of The Hovel, home of Ron and Hermione Weasley.
He had always loved the Hovel; it had quite a homey feel to it. “Well here we are, at the Hovel. It’s a pretty neat place owned by Ron and Hermione Weasley. Ready to enjoy the party?” he asked lightly as she turned to look at her, mainly to get a better look at her before they headed on inside. “Oh and these are for you, consider them a Halloween present,” he said shyly as he let go of her hand and held the box of chocolate frogs to her in hopes that she liked them.

Hannah was a bit sad about going to a party without her husband, but he would be at the Halloween Feast at Hogwarts. She supported her husband no matter what and even though they rarely saw each other, she loved him none the less. As the landlady for the leaky cauldron she rarely had time off, but since she got notice of the party very early she had scheduled herself some time to get off without having to worry about the place going to ruins. She had one of her assistants she trusted the most to take over for her while she was away. She didn’t expect much to happen during the few hours she would be gone, but she had to make sure it was properly manned. After giving the instructions to her assistant she walked up to her room she and Neville shared. She had placed her costume she had bought on the bed where it surprisingly look good with the sheets. The dress was very reveling when she bought it so she edited it a bit. She was pretty good at altering clothes so she lengthened the dress so it wouldn’t be as revealing. She wasn’t a big fan of revealing more skin then was necessary and besides what would her husband say if he saw here wearing such a skimpy outfit? She got dressed putting on the edited dress and the stockings. After that she fixed her blonde hair into very elegant curls before placing the flower barrette in her hair and putting on the hat. After that she pulled on the lace gloves and then put on her black heels. The look was very ravishing if she didn’t say so herself and she felt she looked very nice in this costume. She then grabbed the fan to complete the outfit before departing to the bar of the inn. She took out a few bottles of fire whiskey and other assorted alcoholic drinks she had bought for the party. She wanted to bring something and to be working in an inn with a bar she felt responsible for bringing the drinks. After gathering everything she needed in a small rucksack she left the inn and headed for the Hovel. Apparating to the spot she was told to she looked at Ron and Hermione’s lovely little home with glowing eyes. She hadn’t been here in forever and she somewhat missed her old school friends. Since she and her husband lived in the leaky cauldron it wasn’t like she didn’t see them before the term started. They would always come to visit her when shopping for school supplies and she just loved taking a little time off to chat with them about the past or anything else in particular. The memories they had and shared were precious to her so preserving these were important to her. She had taken up a long time ago to using a pensive to preserve her memories and thoughts which proved very useful for finding things she had forgotten. She hide her pensive from her children though because she didn’t want any of them accidentally discovering it and learning some things about the past they shouldn’t need to know. She continued to gaze at the place before taking a gulp and entering the doors. There were many people there some of which were wearing interesting clothes. She didn’t pay much attention to them though as she opened her fan and started to flutter herself with it. She walked over to Hermione and handed her the rucksack of drinks before saying, “Here are the drinks I hope I brought enough of an assortment to suit everyone’s fancy.” She then walked over to Harry and told him, “I’m sorry Neville couldn’t come, but he does work at Hogwarts now. I will send him word about the party tomorrow.” Hannah smiled at Harry before moving over to Ginny and she had to comment on her costume. “You look so splendid! You would have made a perfect Princess!” Hannah smiled very happily.

Tonight was Halloween and there was talk of a party, talk that Rosaline heard of course, for adults only hosted by the Weasley's...mainly Hermione and Ron Weasley since it would be at their house. Rosaline was going to attend whether she was technically invited or not. It wasn't that she didn't know the crowd that would end up at the party, for she was just a year behind them in school, but many people didn't particularly like Rosaline's company. Something Rosaline was completely oblivious to.
"You, Marcus!" She hollered snapping her fingers. "Stay here tonight and keep the pub open tonight." She ordered the bar tender. "No, no I don't care what you have planned tonight. You are to stay here. I'm sure there will be plenty of people in and out of here tonight." She said, cutting him off before he could spout whatever excuse came to mind. Rosaline didn't care if he had a sibling he needed to take out tonight, it didn't matter for it would get in the way of Rosaline's fun and that was not acceptable. Rosaline did not want to be stuck in The Threebroom Sticks, which she owned, all night. Not when there was a party going on.
Rosaline marched up stairs to her flat which was atop the pub. Her costume was laying across her bed, with the tall red heels on the floor. She dressed into her pin up girl costume, slipping her feet into the heels. She adored this outfit, it was extremely cute and made her look damn hot. Of course she would receive some attention tonight or else she would be demanding it in some type of way.
Rosaline checked her appearance in the mirror, fixing her hair into place as the girl had it in the picture. How she loved the beauty of those pin up girls. She would have loved to been one. Rosaline turned on the spot and apparated just outside the boundary of Ron and Hermione's home. She walked up to the door and rapped her knuckles twice before entering the house.
The home was already full of people, she had arrived just in time; fashionably late. She sauntered through the home smiling at the many guests. All whom she knew, well except for a few but she had no doubt she at least had heard something about them. "Evening Hermione...Ron." She said with a smile. "Such a nice home. I'm sure it could fit your home family, so unlike the place in which you grew up, eh Ron?" She said giving a small smile.

Fee clapped her hands in excitement. Connor had invited her to a Halloween party at the Weasley's. She'd never met them before, only seen them in pictures. But she was pretty excited about going. She knew Connor was going as a pirate, and she wanted to surprise him. So she'd gone to a muggle costume shop and bought a sexy pirate costume. It was fluffy and black and white, with a leather belt with attached sword, a pirate hat, and some brown boots. Grinning at her reflection in the mirror, she plopped the hat on her head.
She heard a knock on the door and ran to get it. It was Connor, and she picked up her skirt and bowed to him. He called her dashing and she blushed fiercely. Her cheeks were redder than a baboons hide. She took his hand though, which fit perfectly with hers. Soon they were Apparating to the Hovel. She grinned and kept holding onto his hand. He explained where they were and who they were seeing.
He all of a sudden dropped her hand and gave her a box of chocolate frogs. Insert happy faced woman here. She grinned from ear to ear and hugged him, her little body pressing against his. Felicity opened a frog and ate it, enjoying the warm taste of chocolate. She offered one to him. "You should have one to Connor," she said, laughing. He was so cute! Her hand still tingled where he was holding it. She wished that he hadn't let go of her hand.
So she did something about it and took his hand in hers. It was warm, and so was her's. The way they fit together made her feel at home, and she leaned into him, looking up. "Thanks for the invite. We should definitely have a good time here. Can you introduce me to everyone?" she asked. She had to admit though. She was nervous to meet them though. They were saviors of the Wizarding World! She'd grown up listening to her grandmother tell her stories about them. They were amazing.
