Her tiny pale hands were covered in dirt, even the nasty stuff got under her nails. "Damn herbology class." Arianna muttered to herself. Then a smile appeared on her face. Has she actually got away with saying a curse? Arianna was not use to such language and it was forbidden in her castle of a home. She liked getting away with things, it was a nice change from how she was always watched back in the muggle world. But then again, Arianna was doing the same here, watching others so she could take house points away. This was how it was in the world one was either being watched or doing the watching.
Arianna was still fussing about the dirt on her hands she wanted it off now. She dared not wipe them on her robes like many others seemed to be doing. She was not fond of walking around in dirty robes all day long. She had a free period now and did not feel like treading all the way back to the castle, so Arianna headed to the lake where the care of magical creatures class was being dismissed. Arianna laid her bag next to one of the big trees that grew near the lake. Walking to the edge where the water met the land, Arianna bent down and placed her hands in the water, trying to dig out the dirt from beneath her nails.
Arianna was focused on the task at hand that she jumped when she heard someone come up behind her, which sent her into the lake. The lake was cold, it was October, and the water was freezing. Arianna yelped as the cold water hit her skin. Arianna fought her way our, her entire body soaked and she began to shiver. "Great, I tried to avoid being dirty and fell in the lake. Just my luck." She muttered looking up to see her best friend standing there.

Herbology, hooray! not really. It wasn't Mikah's favorite class, nor is it the easiest class... plus students are always dirty after class... with dirt stuck in their fingernails and sometimes dirt on their robes. But with that being said, Mikah doesn't mind the class. She liked Professor Longbottom and classes are interesting enough.
After getting out of class, Mikah returned to the castle quickly to change and get rid of the dirt on her hands and robes. The next period was a free period, and Mikah had planned to go study outside at the lake. And so, she grabbed a few of her textbooks, some parchment, and quills, then left the Ravenclaw tower and back outside. Turns out a few other students had the same idea; she saw familiar faces around the school grounds, and searching for another person to study with, her eyes landed on none other than her best friend.
Mikah smiled. Since the start of the school year the two girls didn't have much time to spend with each other. With Arianna and her prefect duties and Mikah and her quidditch practices, there's barely any time when the two of them can hang out. Plus with their OWLs this year, technically all their time should be spent studying! She started running towards her best friend, and was about to call out her name until Mikah saw Arianna fall into the lake.
Running forward, Mikah reached out a hand and helped Arianna out of the lake. "are you okay?" she asked, a little concerned. Obviously the water in October is not suitable for swimming. "Did I scare you?" Mikah asked. "Let's go back to the castle... it's not good going around soaking wet..." she said.

Her once pale skin was now now tinted a bright red color due to the irritation of the freezing water. Arianna felt as if she was being stabbed repeatedly with a pin, but the pain soon subsided after she took her best friend's hand and was out of the lake. This late in October was not the time to be taking a dip in the lake, whether by accident or on purpose. One could become extremely sick being submerge in such low temperatures.
Arianna was glad she was now out of the lake with help from her best friend, Mikah. She was shivering violently and her teeth chattering furiously. "I I I'm okkkaaay." Arianna managed to get out. She was sadden by the thought of having to head in early during her free period, she had really wanted to spend sometime by the lake studying. For a moment she was almost certain that should would have to return to the warmness of the castle, but then she remembered she was a witch. She was not in the muggle world, she could fix herself with magic.
Arianna looked at her friend and shook her head before retrieving her wand out from her pocket. Muttering the drying spell, Arianna waved her ivy wand up and down her body until she felt completely dry. It took a few minutes but her robes and hair were back to normal, although her hair could use a quick brushing. "Much better." Arianna said with a pleasant smile. "Thanks for that Mikah." She laughed lightly. "How have you been, my dear friend?"
