Vincent Yaxley was in a good mood. Which was weird, because he wasn't sure why he should be in a good mood. He had classes soon to deal with and on top of it all, he needed to work on an article for the school paper. He'd done well with his last one and for once, no one seemed to be angry about it. While yes, he was pretty much just writing the first time that came to his mind, it never occurred to him to go ahead and get his facts checked. Where was the fun in that? There was none! Instead, he should just write whatever came to his mind and let people be happy with it.
Letting out a sigh, he paused in a corridor. He wasn't really sure what floor he was on and he didn't care about that at the moment. In fact, he wasn't too sure where he was going in the first place. Ever since he got out of class, Vinny was just sort of wandering around. It seemed like the best idea to him. If he just walked, something had to come to hie then that, he might see someone to talk to. Because when he couldn't think of something to do or something to write, talking always seemed like a good idea.
Letting out a yawn, he looked around. Something needed to be done, but he wasn't sure what. How could he attract attention to himself? Well, he could start letting out random spells, but that would attract all of the wrong attention. He didn't want to get into trouble or anything. He just wanted one or two people to notice him. That was what sounded like a good idea. So what was what he was going to make happen.
Just as soon as someone walked by.

Although Maharet had gone out onto the lawns for a bit of fresh air she found herself back inside the castle sooner than she would have liked. That amiable personality that she so expertly was able to display after long years of practice often came to bite her in the arse. It meant the people felt comfortable approaching her to drone on and on about their stupid, petty problems. What did she care if so and so had just broken some girl's heart by flirting with another girl or how it was an outrage that Bianca had gotten the new Gucci handbag before Gerta did? inside her mind Maggie was thinking some pretty heinous things that fortunately didn't get translated into words.
The first opportunity to get away from the complaining girls, Maharet took it claiming that she had a prior engagement to attend to. Which holing up in her dorm room allowing herself to fume over their nonsense wasn't necessarily a prior engagement but they didn't need to know that. Thankfully none of the gossiping girls were in Ravenclaw. On her way up through the castle Maggie offered fleeting smiles to those that she passed but didn't plan to stop for anyone unless they were important enough for her to deal with.
As she rounded the corner that spat her out on the second floor Maharet quickened her pace ever so slightly getting that familiar sensation that one gets when they neared their destination. Sure there were still a few more flights to go until she reached Ravenclaw Tower but so far she had managed to just breeze by without any hesitations.
What was the need for those silly girls to gossip about the trivial? The only reason Maggie had stuck around as long as she had was from the hope that she would hear something worth while. That was the only reason that she ever bothered part taking in gossip with people she didn't like. If Maharet wanted to do the whole girl talk thing she would do so with Ophelia. She ran a frustrated hand through her golden locks successfully brushing it out of her eyes and giving it that extra bit of volume that made it even more luscious than it already was.
