It was a very nice Saturday morning. The cool September wind blew upon the Slytherin's face. It's getting chillier, which is good; Bre was tired of the heat of the summer, boy is she ready for the arrival of winter.
Bre had woken up early that day, and left the Slytherin dorms very quietly at exactly 6:54 am. She had bought a book with her, because it's always better to have something to do than to stare out into space right? But now, even with a book, Breanna found herself to be staring out into space, the book was far too boring for her liking; she haven't flipped a page in more than 20 minutes. Instead, she was reflecting upon the first couple weeks of school. For the most part, it had been pretty uneventful, but for the announcement of the tri-wizard tournament. She didn't enter, because she has too much on her hands already - plus she wasn't too sure if she was ready for the tasks if she got chosen. However, she was excited to see who was to represent the houses, particularly Slytherin, of course... but the outcome was bound to be interesting. On top of all that, she has prefect duty, and homework loads are already piled high, just waiting for her to go finish them. Schoolwork is a piece of cake for Bre... it's just tedious.
The young girl sighed, wondering whether or not to return back to her dorms and get another book, or work on her school work even. There was nobody outside of the castle. As with most Saturdays, students preferred to sleep in. She laid down on the grass and looked up at the blue sky. Maybe someone interesting will come outside soon, she thought to herself. She's longing for some company at this moment.

Lora was up earlier than usual. She never woke up this early, but with the nightmares she'd been jerked away from, and the tri-wizard tournament on her mind, she couldn't get back to sleep. She'd pulled on a camisole, a hoody, some jeans and socks and left Gryffindor tower, in her stocking feet. It was only after she was outside behind Hogwarts that she finally pulled on her tennis shoes, while hopping on one foot as she tried to get to the Black Lake. Something about it was calling her today.
It was only when she reached the Black Lake that she realized she hadn't brought anything to do, while she sat near the water and waited for the rest of the school to open it's bleary eyes and face the new day. She knelt down on the waters edge and, wrapping her arm around her legs, she dipped her finger into the lake. The water was as smooth as glass and completely undisturbed, until her forefinger passed through it's surface and sent ripples all throughout the water. Small, barely noticeable waves, lapped up on all the visible shores. Lora smiled. It really did look beautiful.
She was just straightening up when she caught sight of someone out of the corner of her eye. She turned and found a sixth year Slytherin lying beneath a tree. Lora scowled, debating whether or not to leave. As a rule, Slytherin's and Gryffindor's didn't get alone. However, in this Slytherin's defense, she hadn't done anything to Lora and Lora was perfectly happy to be friends with her if it remained that way.

Bre didn't have to wait too long... as soon as she wished that someone else was out here... she saw a Gryffindor near by, playing with the water in the lake. Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw... well it doesn't matter to Bre. Sure she's a pureblood, sure she's in Slytherin, but that doesn't mean she has to have the same views as others. In fact usually she could care less about a person's blood status or house as long as they don't rub her the wrong way. That's usually the case. Sure sometimes Bre is a little bit more lenient when it comes to docking points from Slytherin, but that's only natural, wouldn't you agree, because house rivalry happens everywhere at Hogwarts? Anyways. When it comes to her role of a prefect, Bre tries to be fair, always. Which makes her an okay Slytherin to get along with, at least that's what she thinks.
She sat up, wondering if this particular Gryffindor judges people by their houses... That's usually the case with Gryffindor/Slytherin encounters. Bre also wondered if she should go and start a conversation. She thought for a moment, then deciding that she's got nothing to lose, she stood up and sat down beside the other girl. "Hey," she said cheerfully, smiling. "mind if I join you?" she asked. It's only polite to ask.
