It was great, really, getting away from the quiet yet crowded library and all of the curious eyes to the fresh, free, peace of nature. Even better was the fact that Lily was doing so with the arm of her new boyfriend wrapped around her waist and a happy little smile on her lips as she walked alongside him, close enough that she was happy, but far enough away that she hoped he wouldn't think she was some sort of clingy, needy little wannabe so soon in their relationship. Hell, it wasn't even an hour old yet. She didn't want to be chasing him away so soon, or ever would be preferable if she could help it.
They seemed to be set on a course towards the lake, which was perfectly fine with Lily. She adored nature and the ground around Hogwarts, especially the lake. In fact, when she wasn't in the commons room or at the quidditch pitch in her free time, she could often be found along the shore of the lake, practicing the latest spells that she had learned in Charms or Transfiguration. There was something so peaceful and calm about the lake... and the view was certainly gorgeous, especially at the right time of day as this seemed to be. The sun would be slowly setting soon, casting beautiful shadows over the lake from the trees. The weather wasn't bad, either. Nice and calm winds that would barely stir the waters, if Lily was calculating the breeze right. It seemed to be her perfect kind of day. She glanced at Ivan and her grin grew. It was perfect in more ways than just the weather.
They walked through the woods that lead to the shore where Lily spent so much time. Some younger students found these woods creepy, relating them too much to the Forbidden forest though they were entirely different masses of trees, but Lily had spent enough time here in the last five years to be completely comfortable even in the evenings when the sun had disappeared and the whole woods was cast in a spooky gloom.
They'd been walking along in a fairly comfortable silence. It felt rather natural to Lily, not stiff and awkward. Besides, it hadn't really stretched on for that long, maybe five minutes. Lily was the type of girl who wasn't a fan of silences, but when there were people that she was very comfortable with around her she could be happy with quiet for hours. It certainly seemed like Ivan was one of those people. Still, as the shore of the lake became visable through the thin tangling of trees in front of them she spoke again, looking back over her shoulder and grinning. "Looks like we've gotten away without any stalkers."(OOC: Okay, so there's this start of a new thread and my post in the library. Feel free to kind of 'reply' to both of them in this thread. I just couldn't figure out a way to fit it all into one post without feeling awkward.)

Ivan was just about to mention going somewhere interesting until she finally took his hand, of course with her staying a little farther away from him than normal, almost made him think she didn't like the attention. It was obviously far from that, but he knew that she was wanting perhaps just a little space to not look so clingy. It was how he acted sometimes too, but in this case they hadn't even shared their first kiss. The library seemed like the wrong place to do that anyways, as they were walking through the corridors towards the grounds, it seemed rather peaceful. There was no real awkward silences or anything that would render this moment completely moot. Ivan couldn't even list one disadvantage about being with Lily, besides the fact she would hate him if he told her he was dating her just cause of her name. Of course he wasn't, and didn't want names to get involved in their relationship. Heck, Ivan's parents at one point had a bad reputation, but he learned from that to not be like his parents. Instead he ended up in Gryffindor with all the other brave soldiers that liked to leap forward like him, but he also had an energetic spirit that he sometimes shared with others. Most considered him the energetic with the way his attitude never changed even in the most serious of circumstances. The silence was mostly welcomed as the walk down towards the grounds was just to enjoy Lily's position by him, but he was also considering entering his own name in the tournament itself. There would definitely be something to benefit from if he were to actually make something out of this. Even if Lily would try to end this, he was sure they would compromise a way to come up with a solution for the way they acted towards one another. Sure, there would be much to argue about, and with her on the quidditch team, doing the daily prophet, among other things he couldn't complain. Just wishing he had actually gone into something, but now as they had entered the lake area. There was no one around and it was rather relaxing not having to deal with pressing people staring at them. Ivan sensed something and then lifted up his wand to the area behind him for a moment as he reconsidered. Someone had been following them, but they had just run off when they saw him take out his wand. It was obvious he was planning on using a prank spell on them, well one that would just scare them off. It seemed that something else did it for him, whatever it was, he thanked it. Stretching out his back a little he soon brought Lily in front of him, wrapping his arms around her holding her close as he stared deep into her eyes. Then let his eyes close softly as he leaned forward a little almost kissing her lips, being at least a millimeter away, then pulled away to tease her, whispering near her lips though. Not pulling back completely as he had only moved half-way, he didn't care if it was too early or not, it seemed like the right thing to do with her. Plus he wasn't making any moves either, just a kiss, nothing bad could come of it, "Yes, no one to watch us, and it feels like I'm free finally...but best of all is I'm spending this time with you. I think tomorrow sounds great to go out, but I have a question would you like to go somewhere in Hogsmeade, like say Honeydukes?" he asked softly, making it sound like a date even as he soon opened his eyes in anticipation for an answer. OOC: Okay what if I didn't feel like it, HUH? HUH? just kidding, that's great, I can start the thread for Jacob/Addy/Dom xD

One thing that Lily hated more than anything else was when people used her for her family. She'd had plenty of those types around her since she came to Hogwarts. The sly guys who'd slide up to her, being all sweet and caring only to pester her for questions about her father. The girls who'd befriend her and act like her best bud if she could get them an autographed picture of Harry Potter. Ha! Those people were pathetic, and through the years she'd learned not to be used like that. It only took a few minutes in someone's company before she realized what kind of a person they were: if they were interested in her for her, or for her family name, and the ones who were interested in the 'Potter' more than they were in the 'Lily' were people she very quickly left behind. However, she was sure that Ivan was not that type. She'd known him for quite a long time, and he'd never shown any evidence of just being another Potter chaser. If he had, there was no way she would have even allowed him to sit by her in the library.
Lily liked to be involved in school. She'd been on the Quidditch team since her second year at the school, she was always willing to volunteer for jobs in classes, this year she'd joined the school prophet, and she'd also put her name in to the Hogwarts Tournament, hoping with all of her heart that she'd get chosen. She liked being busy. She liked doing things, and having people know her name for her and not for her father. Whenever she wasn't in the commons area her friends often assumed that she was at quidditch practice, or doing research for her article. She was a busy girl, and she liked it, but she really hoped that that wouldn't get in the way of a relationship with Ivan. She didn't want to completely ignore him and get so focused in her work that she'd forget to spend time with him. Of course she didn't think she would. She'd get her priorities straight and make time for everything, right? She vowed not to be one of those idiotic girlfriends who did nothing for spending time with their boyfriends and expected the guy to just be okay with it.
"Of course!" she didn't even have to think about her response to debate whether she'd rather spend the time with her friends or Ivan. Sure, she wasn't a fan of those relationships where the members had to be around each other twenty-four seven, but a date would definitely be welcome. Well, Ivan hadn't officially called it a date, but... the phrase fit in Lily's mind. She loved Hogsmeade and the freedom to roam around with her friends on any of its dates, but she knew that they wouldn't be terribly disappointed if she left them this one time to spent time with someone else, especially given her relationship with that someone else.
(OOC: Sorry, Steve! My muse has been majorly failing me the last two days.)

Ivan was really considering if Lily knew what he meant, but he shrugged his shoulders, it's not like he said it was a date. So anything could happen in the meantime as he was alright with her response by that time, now he decided to make a move. Holding her close in his arms, he let his slender arms wrap about her waist pulling her close to him. "Lily, you know I've liked you for a long time, to me you're perfect, of course, I also have to admit that I don't mind if you make time to hang out with your friends, just getting that up front right now. Plus I'm sure you feel the same about me," he said to her. Sure, they were both rather energetic as he had noted during their first encounter when she first joined Gryffindor.
Back then he wasn't even aware of what girls could do to him, and wasn't even wanting to look into dating anyone. Sure, he was busy studying and jumping head-first into whatever he could think of. His dream was to start a wizard's chess club, and would gladly be the head of it if it ever started up. Ivan's thinking was getting off track again as he decided to come back to reality, and just enjoy the sights with Lily, not that there was much to see around the lake. Yet, the serene and peace that came with it made up for the noise in the library as well as all the onlookers that were probably already spreading rumors. Ivan could already imagine the surprised in the common room if they returned there anytime soon. Sure, the rumor would spread, but he hoped it would be okay with her brothers.
In some ways, he was sure it mattered to them, but he knew James well enough that he would just be a little peeved about it at first. (Oh, the irony of playing James too) Ivan rarely saw or talked to the other Potter brother, Albus, but he was sure he was just as likely to be as peeved about it too. Plus would give him the over-protective brother speech, not that he needed it. Sometimes just talking to Aubrey was a pain when James was there scolding him to let Aubrey have some space, but he found that to be a little charming. At least someone looked out for that other Gryffindor, and now he was back focusing on Lily.
Arms were slowly around her waist and now he was going to just make his move finally as he let his lips rest just half-way away form hers while letting his breath rest on her full lips again, this time he was committed to attempting to kiss her. Leaving it wide open for her to move back as he gently closed his eyes at the same time, while the wind around them seemed to move his hair in an odd direction. Not in the way of his face or anything, but it seemed..perfect.

"Of course," she smiled, slightly amused that he was bringing this up so soon in the relationship. "No offence, but I can't handle relationships where I'm around the guy all the time. I like my freedom, or else the relationship gets smothering and that just kinda sucks." There was no 'kinda' about the suckage of that scenario. One of her first relationships had ended up like that, and she'd been too worried about being made fun of to stop it until she dreaded seeing her boyfriend. There was no fun in a relationship like that.
For a moment she was worried that this would be too serious of a relationship, which was something she didn't want at all. She liked spontaneity and looseness (though certainly not to the point of cheating) in all of her relationships, friends family and boyfriends. But she was smart. If there was no loose, relaxed times she knew when to 'jump ship' as it were, though she was hoping that would never happen. She didn't want to get into any deep conversations about feelings for each other before they were even a month into their relationship, because she'd seen far too many respectable girls go from single to 'in love' in a week and then quickly turn into the idiots who couldn't keep a guy for more than a week and constantly moaned about how they'd lost 'the one'.
Ugh, look at her! A half hour in and already thinking of all of the ways that this relationship could go wrong. So what if Ivan had seemed a little bit intense for one moment? Maybe that was just because she was actually around a guy with an IQ larger than his shoe size, for once. He was practically an adult in the wizarding world, not a little kid like the other guys she'd dated. A bit of maturity was good, too. She should prefer someone who talked wisely and made his thoughts clear to a fool who just wanted to make out all the time, and she did. There was just something- Just relax, Lily. Give it time and don't freak yourself out. She knew that nothing she ever did, whether it be relationships or assignments, ever worked out well when she psyched herself out first. She just had to relax and go with the flow... right?
Going with the flow turned out to be very easy once she pulled herself out of such dreary thoughts, the touch of Ivan's arms around her waist doing the honors to pull her out of her slump. As soon as she looked in his eyes, as cheesy as this sounded even to her, all of her stress and worries just kind of seemed to melt away for a few seconds. She knew that she certainly had the time to move away if she wanted to, but she had no thoughts of pulling away and cancelling the incoming kiss as she leaned forwards and pressed her lips against his.
(OOC: This thing took me five hours. Can you believe it? Sorry if it's disconnected. )

As if by some chance of fate, he knew exactly what Lily meant, not that he minded. Although, when he would need his space was usually most of the time whenever any events such as Valentine's came up, but even then he still liked spending time with his loved ones or family. Plus he was sure he would go insane if he had to stay around Lily all the time, but just going about their business was fine with him. All thoughts ceased to exist when his lips touched her own full ones, and he reveled in that moment. The flesh he had just been pressed against made him slightly part his lips, although closed them so he didn't move forward too fast at all.
That would just cause him to stop and then look away to send this relationship back to friends. There was always that option with her and he never really wanted to offend her at all with the ups and downs. Soon as he slowly pulled out of the passionate kiss, his cheeks were aflame with love for her, but he wasn't going to just fall head over heels right there. He wanted this to at least last a year, or maybe longer than two months before confessing. Of course, waiting for the girl to confess first was the best choice he could think of at the moment. Nodding his head in response as he slowly started to take in Lily's appearance. Ivan's cheeks were actually quite red by this point, even as he enjoyed the intense silence with Lily Potter.
Sure, he didn't care anything about her name, but her talking earlier had almost made him think this had been a bad choice to start out so soon into a new relationship. Then again, this was his first one and Ivan rarely even spoke up to the other girls around him. None of them had a charming, yet bubbly personality like Luna had. Sure, she was energetic and spontaneous, however, he could be at times too. So it seemed like they were a perfect match in his mind, but didn't want to be around her all the time like her too. Finally willing his mouth to move to actually speak, it seemed awkward that the first kiss had sent goose bumps all over his body.
It was just as he imagined it to be with her, slightly perfect, but he was hoping he hadn't ended it too soon while his eyes roamed over her beautiful pretty face. "Well, I can assure you, that I promise not to be clingy, and I'm sure if we give each other space from time to time...it will be alright. I understand, I've seen other relationships fall down the gutter when you stick around your significant other too much like glue. Don't worry about it, we'll be fine," he said to her hoping that would at least ease the stress plaguing her mind. Of course, he was unsure himself what he was getting into, and not really wanting to be tied down inside. Then again, the thought of being with Lily just made him move that option right out of his mind, and didn't mind just seeing her every so often. Not all the time...that would be a bit bothersome to him.
