Bartholomew was glad to have another break for a change, not that he got many from hunting down dark wizards that were still the remnants from when Lord Voldemort had reigned. Of course, he knew all about it, since his father had been the Hero of the Second Wizarding War. It was hard enough to not be a celebrity during his school years as well, being the son of the prodigy, Kingsley Shacklebolt. Sure, he had a lot to fill in his father's place, but he had proved he had almost the same skills. Leadership was an asset that came naturally to him, and he would gladly die for any of the other.
Once more, he flicked his wand up out of the way to move his hair out of the way after staring down the end of it after having finally finished a fierce battle that almost left him with a scar. Luckily, he was skilled in dueling as well as non-verbal magic, and it had helped him out quite a lot. Then again, he hadn't really found a use for the talking patronus yet, besides to show off to the women since he knew that not many people could actually do it. Plus, it was a good way to keep secrets to himself without anyone knowing who he was unless they personally got to know him to get to know his patronus.
In this instance he was wearing a nice dress shirt that was blue in color with some black stripes along it, also choosing to wear Khaki pants along with it giving him a sharper look. It was as if he was going on a date or something, but in all honesty he was just having a get together with a good friend. Considering that his friend was a teacher at Hgowarts, it was hard for her to stray away from the castle as well to meet at the Leaky Cauldron in Diagon Alley no less. Now here he was worried that he may make a bad first impression already after not having seen each other for at least a month or two.
Once more, he finally decided to walk into the pub and took a seat at one of the tables looking out of the windows facing away from the door. Sure, it wasn't a great spot, but at the same time, it was perfect to get a good view of their surroundings. Plus, he wouldn't be able to look at anyone else besides Archer, since he found her absolutely stunning at times. It was like the old times when they hung out, but this time he was dressed up a little fancier to impress as well as to ask a certain question too. Even so, he was anxious to see his old friend while his brown eyes looked out the window to see signs of her arrival brushing his shaggy brown hair out of the way, dark-brown hair wavering a little.
Rolling up his sleeves a little, he made sure to take off his leather jacket and set it to the side so that it wasn't in the way. Plus, it was warm within the pub today as he ordered a butterbeer, smiling at the waitress as she passed him one after getting it ready. Soon he waved her off with a quick thank you, as he lightly sipped at it while waiting. Bartholomew was usually early for these meetings, and he knew that his friend would either be on time or try to be earlier than him, usually didn't work since he knew that she could held up by the smallest thing.

Everything seemed to be running just right for Archer. Her classes had gone smoothly, there had been no extra trouble with students, so she managed to slip out of the castle on time, which she liked, being late, wasnt usually her thing, though it had happened on occasion. She ran a hand through her light blonde hair and set off down the path leading to the gates of Hogwarts, knowing that it was impossible to apparate inside the grounds, she had to leave. But it wasnt like she minded, walking was one way she could relax. And she wanted to be relaxed for this meeting. Well it wasnt a meeting as such, more of a social gathering, with a friend of hers from school, she hadnt seen him in ages, and was quite looking forward to seeing him.
Her black boots clicked on the stone path as she walked, and as soon as she was out of the gates, she pictured Diagon Alley, the enterance to the busy little place, and she apparated, landing just where she had throught about and smiled. She straightened her white coat, and smoother her hair down and pulled the jacket closer to her as she stepped out from the shleter of the enterance and headed to the Leaky Cauldron. It was a nice place, with a good atmosphere about it. She smiled as she thought of the familiar place, and hurried forward, her head bowed toward the cool wind that blew through.
Pushing open the door to the leaky couldron she looked around for the familiar face that she was expecting to see. She smiles widely when she spotted him, she could tell it was him, even from the back. She moved toward him, half creeping, and tried to sneak up on him. She moved behind him and went to ruffle his head before moving around to the front of the table. "Hey Bart!" She said with a smile as she took her white coat off and went to fold it over the back of the chair.

Bart wasn't any later than he usually was, and sitting at the same spot he didn't notice the gorgeous Archer already walking in. Sure, he had spotted her a while away, but even with her inept ability at being cat-like, he was unable to see for a moment. As soon as her hands covered his face he blinked a few times, trying to recall the only person that would do this to him. Sure, they had met before, but this was on his terms this time instead of going where she wanted to first. Of course, Bartholomew's only pub of choice was indeed the Leaky Cauldron, quaint with it's few other patrons that almost made him let out a quirky smile at the same time.
Even he could relax once and a while, but soon as she sat down he waved towards her. It wasn't too odd for Bartholomew to actually greet her the way he did as he then nodded his head in her direction unable to actually look her directly in her eyes right then. Suddenly realizing how gorgeous she really looked from her full lips to her eyes. Along with the way she usually dressed, and it was so modest too. Sighing softly, he soon smiled in return returning her greeting finally speaking up, "Hey, Archer, it's been a while, how have you been?" he asked her politely watching as she sat down across from him.
Soon he was taking another sip of his drink, but that wasn't why he had wanted to talk was just over a drink. Sure they had their differences, but he knew deep down they were probably meant for each other. Having a crush on her since Hogwarts was over after all was kind of a hard thing to let go of, even right now when he realized how much he was thinking of asking her out. It would take a lot of courage, however, he was sure he could do it at this moment. Nah, he would wait and let the evening go on as it normally would while smiling at her again. "Looking gorgeous as always though, I might add," he added, just letting that colorful flirt sink in.
Bartholomew did blush a lot, but it was hard to tell due to his dark-skinned nature, so he hoped that wasn't crossing a line with her. Knowing her, she didn't have anyone in her life right now, and with their professions it was hard to get time off at times.
