The best part about being a sixth year was that nothing was ever concrete with the schedule, with just his N.E.W.T.S and two years before graduating Derek had lots of time to really do whatever he wanted during his afternoons. The evenings were often filled with Quidditch practice but after his Charms class, he had enough time to do relax, and spending time in the courtyard is exactly what he needed. Maneuvering his way through the crowd was a tedious as the lower students chatted on heading to their next class. He was lucky that this lasted for all of ten minutes until it was peace and quiet. ”fuck.” Derek mumbled taking a pack of cigarettes out and sticking it in his mouth. Breathing it as he used his wand to light this, the nicotine kicked in at the right time. ”Mmm.” mumbling to himself as he whacked the butt of his cigarette letting the ashes float in the air. Was this how he looked every time he smoked? It wasn’t a huge addiction at this point, smoking once in a great while. Usually while stressed is when the part-werewolf really just wanted to smoke. It wasn’t just that though, the full moon was approaching and all the anxieties were slowly creeping back up to Derek, it was always a weird time for all the part and full werewolves at the time. Biting his lower lip, it was just a nervous habit. Students were passing the Ravenclaw left and right and all he could think about was flying, something about being in the air really gave him the wings he needed to survive the rest of this school year. Not only was it that, but with all of his siblings and the drama that went on with them, Derek needed another long drag from his cigarette. Letting it lament in his mouth, the smoke slowly slipped through his lips until it disappeared into the air as soon as it was out of his mouth. It was relaxing, the motions, the smoke, it brought a real sense of relaxation for the sixth year. Finishing his cigarette, he threw it to the ground and took one final deep breath before looking with his icy blue eyes into the Black lake. What else could happen on a day like this? Ooc – outfit | rusty and derpy, it’ll get better. Promise.

Gabby grumbled as her professor, crazy old bat that he was, babbled on and on about whatever the hell it was they were supposed to be learning at the moment. It was getting to that point in the year where she really should be studying and keeping up with her classes, but she was burning out fast. She only got good enough grades to pacify her parents so they would stay off her back, last thing she wanted was for them to start snooping around in her person life. As far as she was concerned, bullshitting some classes was a good trade off for getting the freedom she desired from the parentals. As long as she kept up a good face and pretended to be the daughter they thought she was, she was free to do as she pleased.
Finally getting tired of all the babbling Gabby got up to leave. She sat at the back of the class anyway so it was easy enough for her slip out. She waited till the teacher turned his back and then she was gone. It was a rare thing for her to actually sit through an entire class. She just couldn't stand being talked at for hours on end, it got unbearably boring. She decided to make her way towards the far side of the courtyard, there were some trees there that she usually sat under. No one ever bothered her anyway, most people knew who she was and heck most people hated. It wasn't like she cared though, so whatever.
As she made her way over to the trees she spotted smoke rising up, just a wisp of it and followed it down with her eyes. There she saw none other than Derek Greyback, he was one of the older brother's of her best friend, Adrian. Her and Adrian had been friends for a while now, sometimes more than friends if the timing called for it, and Gabby knew a few members of his family. She made her way towards Derek, he was definitely hot, it must run in the family. As she got closer to put her hands on her hips and looked down at him "Mind if I bum a cigarette off you?" she asked sweetly. Her voice was a mix of sweet and tease, almost always was, and if it wasn't it was just bitchy. She was wearing her normal school robes of course but underneath them was a different story. She didn't like to conform to school dress codes at all. She wore a pare of black stiletto heels, a black pleated skirt that was pretty dang short and a green lacy tank top. Her long blonde hair was left down to fall over her shoulders.

As he stared off into the Black Lake, he hadn’t noticed anyone hovering next to him until Gabby was right next to him. ”Oh?!” he commented to himself jumping a little before looking at the girl. ”I never knew you were a smoker, aren’t you a little young?” Derek asked as he smirked reached into his pack and gave her one of his cigarettes. Never taking the time to actually notice this girl, Derek smiled and really appreciated how kind the aging process was with her. The part-werewolf stood up and took Gabrielle by the hand and spun her. ”Age has been really nice to you hasn’t it Gaby. Helps that you’re half vela doesn’t it?” adding a wink before sitting back down on his seat. Reaching for his lighter, he offered her a light for his cigarette. ”So, pot calling the kettle black but, smoking’s bad for you. Wouldn’t want little A to see his best friend dead from some lung disease, right?” his mind was whirling, so was this who Adrian has been setting his little prepubescent sights on? She seemed so much older then he was, it was probably the Veela in her, but half of Derek really wanted to steal this girl away from his half-brother. A dick move, but all was fair in love and getting some, right?
”So how’s little Adrian doing? Haven’t seen him in a while. You know, the whole brother in Ravenclaw thing doesn’t fly well with the kid. He’s got enough rage to empower a country. He’s a little spitfire.” reminiscing about his brother as if he was dead, but that little kid was insane. Cold and demented, the perfect fit for Slytherin. Derek remembered when he had first met Adrian, it took a little bit for the pure-blood enthusiast to even utter a word to his half-blood brother and it was only because he was having issues with the night. It was one of the few things they were able to bond over, being a part-werewolf with the cravings and annoyances was the hardest part. Sometimes, the night could be your worst enemy turning sleep into the greatest want. It was rough, but together occasionally, they were able to lull over the differences and actually bond as brothers. But now, if Derek were to flirt with Adrian’s best friend, it probably wouldn’t go well over with him. But he didn’t have to know that. ”So, what are you doing out so early? Seems early for a fourth year to be out asking me for a cigarette.” Not realizing that they weren’t the same age, he sort of just assumed that they would be the same age. Looking back over at the black lake, he turned his head to Gaby and gave her a crooked smile. ”Did you know that the lake is what Hogwarts was based around, apparently the founders enchanted it and made a pact with the meremaids/sirens to protect and hide the actual location of where Hogwarts is. The more you know.” laughing a little at the end trying to bring a light mood to the atmosphere.

Gabby had to laugh a little when Derek actually realized she was there, he really hadn't been paying any attention to his surroundings that was for sure. "I'm sure there are plenty of things you don't know about me" she replied with a small smirk before adding "Age is only a number baby." Despite his light bantering he still pulled out a cigarette and handed it to her, like he was one to preach to her about doing something bad. Gabby laughed a little as he got up and spun her in a circle, as he sat back down she allowed him to light her cigarette "Well it sure is nice to finally meet you Derek. You are gonna have to be the one to decide if being half veela is helping me out" she replied taking a short drag, holding the smoke for a bit in her mouth before letting it escape back out. This was all a part of her game.
"Oh it takes years for that kind of stuff to actually happen. I tend not to worry too much about the future you know, I got that live in the now sort of thing going on" she said with a small laugh, taking a seat next to him. She took another draw from the cigarette and flicked the asses of the tip before answering his next question, about Adrian. "Oh he is just Adrian you know, that kid isn't exactly full of surprises. But I like it that way, I know what to expect from him. I spend most of my time with him usually, but usually I see him more during the night time hours when there aren't so many people clogging up the place" she replied with a shrug. She and Adrian were friends but that didn't mean she couldn't do as she pleased when she pleased and with whomever she pleased if it came down to it. Adrian did not own her, and he hadn't tried to yet.
"Fifth year" she corrected "I'm a year older than Adrian. I guess you could say that I got a little bored with my teacher so decided to take a little break." As a matter of fact, Adrian was the only guy younger than her that she gave even the slightest notice to. She liked the older guys usually but Adrian had something about him that drew her in, something that not very many seemed to have. He was cruel and harsh and meaner than a viper but she liked it. "I usually like the older guys, more mature you know, but Adrian is hard to refuse" she replied with a small wink as she took a few more drags from her cigarette. She listened for a moment as he spoke about the Black Lake, apparently he was a smart one. "Can't say I have ever been much in the learning department so I never knew that, but I guess it makes sense. Those mermaids and sirens don't seem like they would take kindly just anyone moving into their territory" she replied, taking her last few drags from the cigarette and tossing the butt of it on the ground, using her heels to extinguish any flame that was left.
"Tell me about you though. Adrian is the only Greyback that I really know, but believe me when I say that I would love to know more about you" she looked over at him now, her blue eyes meeting his. She crossed her legs next to him and rested her hand on his knee. This was only the very beginning of what she usually inflicted on Adrian, she knew that at times her teasing was just too much for the younger boy but she never did feel bad about doing it to him. A small smile played on her lips as she looked at Derek, this was her way of getting a feel for the older Greyback, seeing what she could get away with him and where his limits were.

As Gabby began to explain herself, all the Ravenclaw could do was nod and take her words with a grain of salt. Of course he found this girl attractive, she was part-veela but he knew that his littlest brother had some sort of weird connection with Gabrielle. It wasn’t a fling, but it wasn’t an actual romance. Derek wasn’t able to successfully pinpoint what they exactly were though, nevertheless the enjoyable part was that he would torment his little brother by flirting with the girl that he probably creams himself thinking of. The middle Greyback was kind of a douche bag like that, but it fit his persona well and Adrian with his little poison-laced tounge was the best person to piss off, it was almost cute to see the fumes coming from his youngest brother. This would be worth it; this opportunity was just way too good to pass up. ”Oh?” he commented a little aroused, was she really making it this easy. Derek hadn’t heard much about Gabby except for his little brother’s occasional admiration about his best friend. It was cute really, for being only a fourteen year old, watching him be in some sort of love limbo was admiring. For Derek, love and the commitment was such a hard thing for him to deal with. Like the wind, the Ravenclaw loved being elusive and not tied down to anything. It’s what made him feel alive, the free-caring easygoing spirit that he adapted. Looking at the girl with a strange smirk on his face, this girl would be a Slytherin. With every word, she was beckoning for Derek to just come in and take whatever he wanted. As if she was a village ready for plundering, but just like every other Slytherin the woman had traps lying everywhere, he liked her but it was inevitable that she was no good.
”That is true, you know best, huh. Gabrielle. I’m just busting your chops. Or judging your character. Probably both.” almost mocking her in a sense, it was a wise way for Derek to tell how much self-confidence a person had when they first met. He would passively critique the person letting them know, or at least announcing that he felt superior to them in at least a little way. The attitude came with being a Ravenclaw with the last name Greyback, the last name brought a lot of free attention (both good and bad), and a pass to do almost anything he wanted. ”Sounds about right. He talks about you a lot. Or rather, with the odd chance that I see him and I tease him about his girlfriends. He sort of just snarls and comes up with something witty about how Gaby and he are just friends. Typical fourth year shit.” His family deserved the award for most dysfunctional family in Hogwarts. With all of his siblings here and his father not too far away and the ongoing feud that Derek was always teetering with, it felt never-ending. Derek obviously sided with his father, but family was always an important aspect to the sixth year. He never really had time outside of Hogwarts to spend with anyone, because his mother is muggle and he has his own things he has to do during the summer.
”Aren’t you feeling a bit rebellious? Fifth year, OWLS are important. Ya know? But, you do seem a little bit more my speed after all. Way to unknowingly win some points, Gabs.” as they talked Derek occasionally stretched his back and cracked his knuckles, it was a habit at this point whenever he did anything, almost like breathing. ”About myself. Seems a bit early, don’t you think? I’m sure Adrian keeps you all filled in with the shenanigans of the broken Greybacks.” the Ravenclaw noticed as her composure changed every so subtly, and rested her hand on his knee. He wasn’t someone to be toyed with, despite being a Ravenclaw, Derek still had quite a bite to his bark. ”Besides. I’m sure you’re thinking about a lot more then just the continuity of what Adrian tells you and what is real.” his words flowed in constant rhythm as he looked over to the girl and gave her a look before turning himself towards her and reaching for her cheek. Pulling her towards him slightly, he stole a quick kiss from the veela, ”Is this what you wanted? Remember. You’re not playing with some little boy. At this point, men just take what they want.” his words were in a whisper, trying to be slightly seductive as he placed his hand on her inner thigh and bit his bottom lip looking into her eyes, waiting to see what her next move would be.

So he was going to judge her was her? Well that meant she might as well give him something to think about. Gabby definitely wasn't the type of girl to give a rats ass about what what other people thought of her. People either hated her or liked her, whatever they decided it was up to them, it wouldn't keep her awake at night. "Like I haven't been judged before" she scoffed lightly, brushing it off like it was nothing. It really was nothing though, she already had Adrian, she didn't need another Greyback. It was just fun to well have some fun.
It was quite interesting to hear that Adrian talked about her. "We are just friends" she clarified with a smile. "Sometimes maybe a little more than that, but just so you know we haven't actually done a whole lot. He just fun to mess with, watching him squirm is rather enjoyable. Of course I do give into him to a point, but I value our friendship as it is, wouldn't want it to have to change" she replied with a small laugh. She felt that if she and Adrian actually went all the way it would change things between them. Things just wouldn't be the same, wouldn't hold the same meaning as they did now. She liked things how they were, no need to change them now.
"A bit early? What did you think we were going to have a long and lasting friendship?" she replied teasingly. "And actually Adrian doesn't tell me much about his family. Our time is generally otherwise occupied, not a whole lot of talking really occurs" she replied with a smirk. In all actuality Adrian just didn't ever talk about his family with her. She didn't know why, maybe he just didn't want to discuss his siblings with her, she knew that he was quite possessive over things that he felt were his. It wouldn't surprise her if he felt that he owned her. When he rebuked her she pretended to be offended "Maybe I am just genuinely interested in you" she replied with a small shrug.
The situation changed rather rapidly at that point and Gabby realized that for the first time in her life she was being played. Instead of being the player she was the played. It had never reversed like that on her before and she was slightly stunned actually. "Well I guess I just got schooled now didn't I" she replied still looking a little taken aback. "So if men take what they want and I am assuming you are referring to yourself as a man, what is that you want" she replied her voice now seductively. She had recovered from her initial shock and decided to keep playing this out, it didn't matter much how it ended. She felt his hand on her inner thigh and glanced down slightly before looking up at him through her eyelashes.

”Well then.” he started off very brash. ”you’re overconfident and a flirt. Very much like myself, because we know that we’re pretty good looking. It’s a complex that all good-looking people who know they look good have.” The facts were indeed facts; both of them were what he considered beautiful people. ”But other then that, I’d need more time with you. I like you though Gabrielle. But, to me you seem more like an Elle. It’s short, simple and sweet. Mind the name change?” curiously he asked as he studied her face, a very soulful light brown eye color as if it was like swimming in honey. Very delicate features on her ivory skin, smooth to the touch as she just radiated in the odd afternoon light.
”If you say so. I’ve had more then my fair share of friends to judge, but just. Take it easy on him, I might be doing this but he’s still my brother.” he added a wink to his hypocritical statement, if he had any sense of loyalty he would’ve completely left Gabrielle to his brother and found one of the many other female students in the school, but this was just too good to pass up. A pissed off Adrian was the best thing to watch, he would savor every moment of this. ”That’s good. Keep it like that. He’s young, slightly immature and temperamental. I’m sure in time he’ll mellow out eventually. He’ll make someone a good husband, promise.” It was strange to think of his littlest brother as a man for someone to marry, he was still this twerpy little kid who he made fun of and messed with for fun. A slight breeze came in almost warning Derek about the idiot decisions he was making, but this was one of those times that the Ravenclaw dismissed one of the things he cared for the most to implore his curiosities.
”You know you want me. It’s so evident with the way you look at me. Like a piece of meat, something for you to just enjoy. I can see it.” he teased back as he raised both of his eyebrows taunting her with his playful gesture. ”Nah, I know what Adrian’s like. He’s quite serious and angsty. I wouldn’t want to talk about our traitorous family if I felt the same exact way as he did. He’s my brother but he’s one serious part-werewolf. I mean, we all have our vices but man. He’s has quite the temper.” speaking about his brother made him feel bad once again, but it was a feeling that passed quite quickly. As she asked about Derek, he took a quick pause before he decided what would be appropriate to share with her.
”Well, I have a few dealbreakers if you want to even be my friend. I’m a half-blood. My mother was a muggle who my dad, Fenrir, went to when he was feeling too stressed? I guess. It was pretty much my mum who raised me, but Fenrir was around when I needed so maybe that’s why I don’t hate him and appreciate him. He didn’t turn me into a werewolf so I’m part, just the irritating nuances of craving raw meat and irritable nights. The usual. I love the skies, flying, it brings me some weird high that I just can’t get rid of. And if you can’t tell.” he paused once more as he rolled his sleeves showing off the tattoos he had, tilted his head to show his bird tattoo. ”I have a weird affinity with pain as well, I like art and my body is what it represents. I’m into drugs, but not too hard shit. Just the regular ‘ole cannabis and ecstasy. Not too weird right?” after laying it down kind of rough, ”your turn.”
With his hand, he grabbed onto her inner thigh and slid his hand a little higher, ”just say when.” he began to slide his hand closer into her skirt and stopped, ”Not when we first met Elle. Have a little more class.” he said with a wink before he moved himself back out of the sensual positioning that they were in. ”But really, we can fuck after if you want. Let me at least know what you’re about.” and this was infamous Derek, the sarcasm during inappropriate times.

Gabby could agree with all the things he said about her, she was definitely overconfident and a flirt. "I can't say I disagree with you. I am all of those things you said and probably much more including a bitch, a tease, arrogant and to some probably a slut or a skank" she replied with a smirk. "But you are right, our looks grant us these thoughts and heck I would rather be all of those things and look like this than be ugly" she added with a slight laugh. When he suggested that she be called Elle instead of Gabrielle she shrugged "Elle is cool with me" she replied, it was one of her nicknames, Gabby just tended to be more popular. It would be kind of interesting though, having one Greyback brother call her Gabby and one call her Elle. It was almost like she was two different people, Gabby was for Adrian and Elle was for Derek. Talk about a messed up way of thinking of things, but it worked.
"Don't tell Adrian, cause I don't want him to get a bigger head than he already has, but I really care about Adrian. I can't say that I will be with him seriously or anything like that, now or in the future, because well as you can tell I am just not the type of person to settle down and he won't be for a while either. But Adrian is a hard one to forget" she replied. She usually didn't talk about Adrian like this, she generally just pretended he was nothing more than another fun time for her. But Adrian really was her friend, one of her only ones, and she did value his friendship.
"But of course you already know that I want you. What isn't to want, you already said it yourself, attractive people already know they are attractive" she replied with a smirk "Same way I know that you want me too" she added. That would be her being overconfident and arrogant again, but whatever, it wasn't like she had anything to lose. She listened intently as he talked about his life, what little of it he felt she should know that is. It surprised her a little to find out his blood status but she decided that being a Greyback outweighed being a halfblood and didn't say anything at all about it. She was however drawn to his tattoos when he rolled up his sleeve, she reached out and brushed her fingers across them. Tattoos were a weakness for her, she loved a guy with some body art.
When it was her turn to talk she thought for a moment and then said "Well I am a pureblood, I have one older sister, one older brother, one younger sister and one younger brother so I am pretty much the one stuck in the middle. I grew up privileged but ignored because everyone was always doting on the baby or the eldest. I spent most of my time with my sister Calista and when I was about twelve I fell into the wrong crowd you could say. My parents think I am some good little girl I plan to keep them in the dark as to who I really am, at least for now, because it keeps them off my back. Drinking, partying, boys, pretty much been there and done that since I was around thirteen or so. Can't say I have ever done drugs though, just haven't really gotten into it. Not that I am opposed to it, ecstasy does sound like quite fun" she replied with a small smirk, hinting a little bit. Then she started to undo her robes, it was convenient that she was wearing a tank top "When I was fourteen I got in a really bad car accident, shattered collar bone, some broken ribs, a collapsed lung, it was pretty bad" she replied as she motioned towards the scars on the left side of her torso where the operations had taken place.
Gabby smirked a little as he pushed his luck, moving his hand up her thigh and then pulling away. "So now you know I guess, it isn't like I have some crazy good life story. My scars are probably the only thing I hide from people" she replied with a small shrug and a smile. She liked his humor, the way that he was insanely blunt. It was refreshing.

After many hours of analyzing and psychoanalyzing himself, Derek realized the reason he wasn’t a Slytherin and was a Ravenclaw was exactly that, he used his mind way too much to not be considered bright. Always going through complexities and theologies in his brain, it wasn’t unlike Derek to look at everything in his mind and break down people into categories and dig deep into their minds to extract what made them tick, but ultimately what their deepest issues were. With Elle, she wanted the attention that she never received as a kid. With every word that she spoke, he began to dissect her life taking her traits and placing them with what caused them within her life. Like a tiny surgeon, in more ways then one, he extracted different parts of her being until she was completely figured out, or as much as Derek through he could figure her out. ”It’s the reason why I’m a Ravenclaw.” he shrugged before continuing, ”I’m good at figuring out people’s problems. It’s a knack, I guess.” arrogance was definitely something the kid was filled with, it just happened. As she spoke though, Derek knew he was a gorgeous creation but it was more obscure then the sort of beauty that Gabrielle possessed. His look was darker, almost soul crushing and filled with sadness. He wasn’t naturally blessed like the half-veela who sat a few feet away from him or like those extremely athletic males who had abs for days. Derek’s look was more haunting, a very cryptic beauty that he still yet establish in his mind.
”To be completely honest, I wish I had more time to speak to the little guy. We’re all just so busy with life that we never even get opportunities to see each other. That and we just can’t be bothered to actually try, most of us have a lot of extracurricular. I’m stuck with the studies, something I rather enjoy actually. And when I’m not stressing over that, I’m exercising my freedom to do whatever I want, whether it be Quidditch or another endeavors. And you know just by being friends with Adrian, nights aren’t our favorite time. Tell the little bro that he has good taste next time you see him, kep?” a mouthful but it was necessary, he really couldn’t linger on the thought any longer, he knew he had no time but it was one of those inevitable things that just couldn’t be helped.
”How can be sure that it’s you that I want and not just the thing that’s just dripping under your skirt?” he just took a stab at the dark, assuming she was feeling the same way he was. Twitching at the seams, at this very moment he felt like a werewolf wanting to just rip off his clothes and go primal on Gabrielle, howling to the moon. He wasn’t even a pure werewolf, but when it came to sex, something about the natural instincts and the most basic form that he could’ve been made it just that much sweeter. ”If I told you I wanted you right now, what would you do? If I told you I wanted to lay you down in the middle of the court yard right over there.” he paused pointing to the middle, ”and just take you here letting whomever watch. What would you do?” The question was completely theoretical, but it would help him get to know his new acquaintances better. Blunt should’ve been Derek’s name but sometimes, girls found it attractive that he was able to talk about it with such an open mentality. Without having it taboo’d in a relationship, it helped bring sex to be something not to be afraid of and secretive.
”My condolences.” he sincerely spoke as he moved his shirt so he could see her scars. ”Being the dork that I am, the scar I feel, is the most sensual part of the body. It’s fresh enough to have the most sensation, it reminds one of the pain that people go through but it also supports the fact that everything can heal, physical and otherwise.” It was almost as if Derek was stoned, the way he spewed out what some people may look at as psychological bullshit. Smoking more then enough, his thoughts just lingered in his brain bringing him to think he was somewhat enlightened and saw the word in a way that not many others saw it as.

Gabby nodded when he spoke of why he was a Ravenclaw. It made sense, Ravenclaws were supposed to be clever and he seemed to be exactly that. It wasn't hard for her to figure out why she had been placed in Slytherin, even if her whole charade was just an act to keep people away. "I guess I just don't even try to figure others out" she replied with a small shrug. "I probably fit the typical Slytherin persona, so I am not exactly surprised I got placed in the house of the serpent. Both my older siblings were also in Slytherin" she added. She had never considered the possibility of her being in another house, Slytherin was just who she was, or who she wanted people to believe she was.
It was nice to hear that Derek did care about Adrian, the Greyback family all cared about each other for the most part, they just had an odd way of showing it. "I will be sure to do that" she agreed when he asked her to relay a message to Adrian. It was good to know that Derek liked her so far. It was funny because even though she didn't care whether people liked or disliked her she did like to know which people felt which way. It just gave her a sense of who she should be around depending on her mood. Adrian was fun when she was in a fun mood, but Derek seemed like the guy to be around when she actually wanted to talk. Adrian wasn't one to talk about feelings, or the past, or anything much for that matter. Derek wasn't like that, it was nice.
"I can't be sure. But at the same time you can never be sure that I don't just want you because of your allure and your tattoos" she replied with a small smirk, returning the slight banter. Gabby had to think for a moment after his next question, it definitely threw her off. It would take her a bit to get used to the way with which Derek talked about certain subjects. "Honestly...I would say no. I don't have much going for self preservation but I have some left. Now if it were say in an empty classroom, my resolve may just break" she replied with a small smile, a teasing smile. She wasn't the kind of girl to just let him have her out in public. "That isn't to say I am opposed to someone seeing us, I just am not to keen on the whole outside in public idea" she added. In all reality she wouldn't care if they were at like a part or something and people saw it happen there, but at school was just a different story all together. She wasn't that far gone.
Gabby nodded her head a little as he spoke of scars. He had a way of talking about things that was just deep. She liked to listen to him because he made things make so much more sense. "How do you do that? How do you make a bad situation seem good?" she asked curiously. She was truly intrigued at his outlook on life and what it had to offer. "I like hanging out with you, so far at least" she replied letting her eyes meet his. This time it was her turn and she leaned over to him, but instead of kissing his lips she placed a chaste kiss on his cheek. "Maybe I could learn something from you, experience something new."

It was almost strange how all personalities have a reason for it, like a precise reason to turn a specific person a certain way when it came to the idea of how they reacted. It was a strange interest, but Derek really liked the muggle concept/subject of Psychology, the way the mind works and why it caused certain individuals to act a precise way. Fascinating shit that just really interested Derek, it was during his smoking sessions that all kinds of enlightening probes hit his brain, bringing him a clear sense of the world. Whether it was actually clear or not was up for interpretation. ”You shouldn’t.” a small curl began to form on his lips before he let out a small chuckle. ”I think a fucking lot. That’s why I smoke, because I might as well think about some crazy shit, right?” a real honest thought, it was the reason why he started and now one of the many reasons why he won’t quit the stuff. ”It’s somewhat genetics, I don’t know. It’s kind of a monotonous thing to talk about now. Especially when we have such a pretty afternoon to get into trouble, right?” always flirting and trying some sort of move, Derek lightly grabbed onto Elle’s chin lifting her head up slowly and giving her a second kiss.
”Brothers can be like that, go figure huh.” It was just something he did from time to time, not trying to be smothering like some of the others, but he did genuinely care about all of his half-siblings and wanted to know how they were doing occasionally. ”Tattoos, huh? These turn you on?” shrugging as he stood twisting his body showing off the mindless tattoos he got for fun, and as Art. ”I think my favorite one is the spider web.” he spoke lifting his right elbow and showing it off. ”For a very long time I wanted my animagus to be a spider, but it was slightly unrealistic. But the thought of the spider, really made me feel like I was apart of them. Very beautiful skilled artists, they’re able to constantly recreate and structure a home for themselves even after the repeated chaotic destroying. To me, the represent a hope for humanity, that forgiveness is an essential key for success.” Derek was lucky that he had some sort of haunting beauty towards him because if not, he would just sound like a guy with way too much time on his hands to analyze the world. ”I’ve been getting into tattooing recently, it’s actually really easy with magic. I did a few of these by myself” touching his neck and showing off the bird tattoo on it. ”Wizards have been animating them recently, but we’re not cartoons. But, I can show you, if you’d like.” It was something he got a kick out of doing, he loved the permanent state of tattoos.
”Shame, I probably could name a ton of guys who’d love to see the anatomy of our bodies together.” a small shrug came from Derek’s shoulders as she began to explain herself even more, that the idea was out there but in a more private setting. ”We can make that happen, soon enough. Just name a time and place, Elle.” he wasn’t sure if they were both being sarcastic but either way, he didn’t mind doing it with the Slytherin woman. Her alluring Veela-side just pulled him in like an irresistible flower, just waiting to be taken.
”I suppose it’s a gift? I do a lot of thinking.” he announced once again, everyone was always thinking, why couldn’t they try to come up with something profound. ”I like hanging out with you as well, next time let’s meet somewhere a little more discreet. I could show you a whole world that you’ve never experienced.” she knew what he was talking about; it was obvious enough. ”Would you be interested? It’s be safe I swear, and I’d take care of you. If not Adrian would have my head, or at least try hard enough to make him a huge pain in my ass.” Derek laughed a bit, the sad thing was that if he ever put Gabrielle in a harmful situation, he knew that Adrian would destroy him. The little Slytherin was toxic, and could rip you to shreds without feeling any sort of remorse. ”I actually, if you’d want to right now. We could sneak up to the Astronomy tower and try it on the roof. No one ever goes up there and there’s a perfect view. Just a little cold.”

Being with Derek was so much different than being with Adrian. Derek was blunt and had that bad boy attitude but not to the same degree as Adrian. Adrian was ruthless and brutal and Gabby could get away with teasing him to no end. Derek on the other hand was insightful, more mature in ways, and if she tried to tease or flirt he just fired it right back at her and took whatever it was that he wanted. In some ways Gabby liked it, she liked having someone in control of the situation. It seemed like with Adrian she was in control of what would happen next because Adrian never took that next step with her, Derek on the other hand was controlling the situation now. Gabby had some say in it but she wasn't driving anymore, she was just the passenger, it was kind of nice. "I could go for some trouble" she replied with a small laugh. Gabby was always up for anything with trouble in the name usually.
Derek placed another kiss on her lips, he wasn't as animalistic as Adrian. She was sure he would be but Adrian just seemed more raw. "I love tattoos" she replied with a smile as she looked at each one that he was showing her. He had quite a few, she found it rather hot. "The spider web is really cool" she agreed while listening to his insight on the matter. She never thought of the world the way he did, but it was interesting nonetheless. Gabby liked listening to him surprisingly, the way his mind worked was intriguing and held onto her interest like most things couldn't. "I think animating them would be weird. It is on your skin, it shouldn't move" she replied with a laugh, shaking her head. Sure it might be interesting to see, but she thought it might creep her out actually. "Would you wanna give me a tattoo sometime? Well another one I guess" she replied as she stood up for a moment. She slip her skirt down just enough to show off the dove tattoo that she had near her hip bone. It was the only tattoo she had so far, but she wanted more.
"I could probably name a ton of guys who would try to join in" she replied with a chuckle, it was true though. She had actually never done anything with more than one person at once. She wasn't against it, but it would have to be two people of her choosing, she was rather picky when it came to actually sleeping with someone. It didn't seem like it but she did have standards, she just didn't tell people that. So what if they thought she had slept with way more guys than she had, let them think whatever they wanted to. "Oh trust me, I will" she replied with a smirk in response to him telling her to just tell him a time and place.
When he offered to show her those experiences that she had never had. He promised that she would be safe and that he would take care of her. "I'm not scared" she replied with a smile and grabbed his hand in hers. "Let's go" she added flashing him a smile. She was ready now, why wait? It sounded like fun and she could use some fun right now. "I won't tell Adrian if you don't, at least not yet. I have a feeling that he won't take too kindly to me hanging out with his brother" she replied with a laugh, it was the truth though. It didn't matter much to her, she knew that even if Adrian did find out and got mad at her, he wouldn't stay mad for very long, he never did when it came to her. Plus he knew what she was like, he knew who she was and what to expect from her most of the time.

The thing with Derek was that he didn’t try at all actually to try and fit in, he was happy with his peculiar thought process and fashion sense. The real thing that Derek had was his arrogance in the sense that he didn’t really care what others thought about him. It was both good and bad, especially with how carless he was being with Gabrielle, this little friendship could completely ruin his relationship with Adrian, but Derek would deal with that situation when the time came. If Adrian wanted to attack, Derek would let him and deal with his anger and bitterness with love, it was a tactic that the Ravenclaw thought would work, or just piss Adrian off that much more. ”If you’re willing, let’s do this then.” the sixth year flashed another smile before standing up and dusting himself off. Grabbing onto Gabrielle’s hand, he helped her stand up and they were already walking up to the astronomy tower. With the empty halls, they didn’t have to be worried about anyone or anything coming in their way and noticing the pair within the halls.
”I do have to go to the Ravenclaw tower really quickly first though, so when we get maybe a floor away, just meet me at the tower, okay?” asking, but in an authoritative voice. As they zoomed through the floors, they were close enough and he motioned Elle to head up without him. Seeing a few of his classmates in the dorm, he waved heading up to where he slept. In an instance, Derek was standing above his bed sticking his hand deep within his dresser grabbing his little purple bag enchanted with an extender, to give it a lot more space then it should initially have. After grabbing his goodies, he went out of his dorm room and headed up to the top of the Astronomy tower.
At the top, he looked for Gabrielle and waved before sitting down right next to her. It was still afternoon, but the view from on top was so much different then the view from the gardens. Looking out, the sky was filled with purple hues and magentas; at this height the sun painted the sky a whole different spectrum of colors. ”You ready?” he asked as he took out his little bag and pulled out a joint. The smell was already therapeutic to the boy as he took a deep breath into his lungs. ”That’s good shit right there.” laughing to him before looking at his guest. ”Okay so smoking is easy, just your throat will get very itchy and feel burned if you do it wrong, even if you do it right sometimes it happens, so there’s water in the purple bag if you need it. So, I’ll light it. Just follow what I do, take a semi-deep breath and hold it in your lungs for a little bit before letting it out.” and like clockwork, Derek lit the joint and took a deep breath into his lungs. Already smoking for a few years, he was used to the feeling and didn’t cough it entirely out. Breathing it out above his head, Derek watched, as it was almost therapeutic. ”Your turn.” he said a little short of breath, clearing his throat the Ravenclaw watched as it was Gabrielle’s turn, hoping she kind of understood how to do it.
