With that, the staff team has decided to promote JD from Third mate to Second mate! So everyone, please make sure to go and congratulate her! Now, I would like to take this moment and say that our staff team is pretty awesome, at least I think so. But, with having lost two staff members now we feel that there is a need for at least one more Moderator. So now we shall have a Moderator search for at least one Moderator to be hired (maybe two depending on the applications) with that said what we are looking for in an admin is someone that can help us keep claims up to date, keep members in order, help members out. But most of all, the one that I really need is someone that has time to partner up with another mod or two and keep track of threads so that we know that there isn’t anyone breaking ours or PB’s rules. Warn them gently, and if they don’t listen bring it up to the admin of course. WHY: i like to help out and get to know the people on the site
WHAT WILL YOU BRING TO THE STAFF TEAM: a helping hand and a good knowledge of codes and graphics well i will do the best that i can. I love to read threads so wouldn't have any problems making sure everything is PB standards. i do try to check the site every day and love keeping things organized when it comes to site information. PAST EXPERIENCES: I was a co-admin on a few of sites (hp and a book-based one on the Valdemar world by Mercedes Lackey, Tortall series by Tamora Pierce) about 6-8 years ago on acornrack and avidgamers (so I unfortunately don't a link to any of them).
WHY: I love this site and I want to help out in anyway I can =) In particular, there are a few claims lists that need to be updated (which is one of my pet peeves because I enjoy constantly referencing them in case I want to make a new character). I'd like to see the wiki at least somewhat organized because I think it's a pretty neat tool that we haven't really utilized.
WHAT WILL YOU BRING TO THE STAFF TEAM: I'm usually lurking on the site. For the next couple of months, I've got a work term so I pretty much leave a tab open for this site or I have it open on a console browser for stealth mode =) As an added bonus for work terms, I've got no school work to deal with. Basically, I'll be around to help newcomers or whatever is needed. I'm learning javascript if that's something that might be helpful for proboards. I can help implement the mentoring program if you like, and any other system you have in mind.
