{Secret Santa}
All the anticipation is over, finally! It is now Christmas and those who decided to participate in the secret Santa have been asked to join in the common room during this hour to present their gifts. Below is the list of who had to buy for who, of course you each knew who you had to buy for before today. Anyone may start and you don't need to wait for everyone to post each time. If the person you are giving a gift to is responding quicker than carry on with your conversation, don't wait for others to respond, but also do include them if they happen to be a slower poster whenever they do post. Obviously the common room is decorated for the holidays.
{The List}
- Poppy → Dominic
- Dominic → Shailene
- Shailene → Bradley
- Bradley → Yori
- Yori → Josceline
- Josceline → Poppy

The winter season had made her eternally thankful for one thing: a much needed break. Other than the mountain of stress that came with the Yule Ball and the usual schoolwork, there had been chances for Yori to relax and not concentrate on the looming second task. Despite wanting to just relax, the Japanese girl didn't think twice before signing up for the Secret Santa event. She recognized her good friends on the list and loved the excuse to cook a little bit in the mean time. Cooking reminded her of home, and it always a little fun to experiment every now and then, especially when its being shared with a friend or a housemate. Much as the fifth girl had a large stomach, she could only eat so much. If she had cooked as often as she wanted, the house elves would be so terribly disappointed in her with the amount of food wasted.
However, that wasn't the time to be thinking about it. Today was Christmas, and truth be told, the hufflepuff was waiting for it anxiously since she found out who she would be giving her gift to. She owed a lot to Jos at those point. After all, she had been quite upset with her over the champion business, and she hadn't found time to think the older girl for not killing her when they finally confronted each other at the quidditch pitch. The secret santa event provided her with the excellent opportunity to do so. Though it had been difficult to acquire with just the neighboring Hogsmeade, she had managed to buy a few cello-focused orchestra CDs, knowing that was a sound her friend adored. Of course, she had a cake with her as well, chocolate in flavor with white frosting, sprinkles, and a “Merry Christmas!” on top with chocolate chips.
She had been careful when bringing it into the Hufflepuff common room, almost glad to see she was the first one down for the event. The room was warm as usual, but on such a chilly holiday, it was much more appreciated. She settled in one of the common room couches with a distinctly content smile, dressed in only a pull-over sweater and some sweat pants. To her, Christmas provided such an excellent excuse to just relax in your Pjs. She hadn't made plans to really leave her common room for the day, save for a visit to her brother to exchange gifts. The hufflepuff would be just content in spending some time to herself. However, she was honestly happy to have signed up for Secret Santa. It felt like it had been a while since she had talked to the house she was representing.
It was only a few moments after placing the cake and wrapped gift on the common room table in front of her that she almost allowed herself to doze off once she leaned back onto the couch. She wasn't completely asleep, just a little unaware. The warmth was just enough to relax her in a sort of lulled state.
