meet anthea calli celandine. athea, anth, ant - call her what you will, she'll respond to anything. anth is a fifth year hufflepuff and a bit of an oddball, to say the least. she has her ups, downs, lefts and rights confused and can be seen wandering around the castle grounds with a remembrall in her pocket and no shoes on her feet. she lives in a world entirely of her own, where evil doesn't exist and violence is not tolerated. she's pacifistic to the core and couldn't hurt a fly to save her life. anth eats a cupcake a day and is one of the sweetest people you'd ever hope to meet.
friends. everyone is a friend to anthea, whether they know it or not. she has an unabashed habit of talking to strangers and generally finds comfort in putting other people first. she's encouraging, sincere, kind and always willing to lend a helping hand, no matter the consequences. she performs a random act of kindness at least once a day and would stick up for anyone, really. even those who constantly try to harm her. all friends are welcome! any age, gender, blood status, house - she wouldn't have it any other way.
enemies. anthea is not the type to look for trouble. she frowns upon jealousy, rivalry and violence in general. enemies are welcome! though she'd be awfully unhappy knowing someone hated her. something that could spark a disagreement or two is anth's blood status. she's a muggleborn and is very much aware of the purist nature few people tend to adopt. also, a note to an enemy (or anyone, really) anthea has difficulty saying 'no' and can be very easily manipulated. she would obey harsh commands simply because she wouldn't know any better. if your character's a puppeteer, this can be used to their advantage.
love. anth is a strong believer in love. she just doesn't know what to look for or how she would know if it happened or not. she's heterosexual and clueless on all things the opposite sex. sex in general, actually. she's an obvious virgin, never been kissed and has no shame in it, really. crushes are more than welcome. maybe a short lived romance or two. i am going to be putting up a want ad for her final very soon, so watch this space!
family. anthea is the daughter of a gay, muggle couple. she's an only child so siblings would be doubtful. unless, of course, they were adopted. she's yet to meet her surrogate mother. cousins are more than welcome!

MAKENNA AND ANTHEA [/color] So basically everything you have listed there for enemies is pretty much what Makenna does. She spurs and creates rivalries (especially Quidditch ones) and between herself and Gryffindor. She's quite violent and will usually use violence as a means to an end, and be perfectly happy with that. That being said, Makenna also tends to have a soft spot for sweet girls like Anthea. In fact, she has a crush on the sweetest girl in her year, Poppy Longbottom. Also she couldn't care less about someone's blood status. Makenna herself is not pure; she's part Veela. Looking at Anthea's likes, I see she likes Quidditch, and Makenna plays for the Hufflepuff team =) Makenna is one of those bold, opinionated, in-your-face type of person. I'm not sure how Anthea would think of her... I can't really decide if they would be enemies or just plain acquaintances... or something else entirely.
MARLON AND ANTHEA[/color] This relationship is more of a crack idea because the thought amuses me. So Marlon would think Anthea is really weird, and just the way she is would throw him way off-balance. As a random fact, Marlon hates cats. In fact, I have a thread with him where he's all hating on cats. He would also be more or less terrified of her because she's a Muggleborn. He thinks Mugglborns can pick him out and out him as an imposter of the pureblood group. Marlon's a bit on the paranoid side =) He would be kind of mean and sarcastic to her because that's what he does when he's uncertain or scared.
Also, if there's anything that you want to be revealed about your character (a past, in particular), Marlon is a Seer and so far he hasn't really had a chance to do anything fun with that =( So if you have anything, feel free to bring it up.

how do you feel about an admiration on anthea's part? the fact that makenna is in hufflepuff and the quidditch team alone would fascinate anthea, but her boldness would take it to another level. for one thing, makenna's opinions would certainly be valued by anth. how about an acquaintance-like friendship? if that makes sense to you. it doesn't to me. like, i can see anthea looking up to makenna, but at the same time feeling really intimidated and so never working up the courage to engage in an actual, literal conversation with her? also, amber heard is beautiful.

for some reason, i pictured marlon going "back away, demon child!" every time anthea walked past. this relationship could very well be blowing my mind. because you'd have her on one hand, constantly trying to befriend him (and trying to convince him of what a joy her kitten really is) and him on the other hand, suspicious of her batshit crazy ways and wanting to avoid her. if that's where you were going, of course! i'm not sure if you maybe wanted a tiny part of him liking anth's company? i definitely request some badass, seer action! because it's cool on so many levels. the only thing that came to mind at the moment was him maybe seeing how she constantly got picked on (as a muggle and a witch). maybe this could provoke his urge to keep his blood status a secret?

MAKENNA AND ANTHEA [/color] I'm not sure I made this entirely clear before, but Makenna hates Gryffindors with a passion. So she's pretty antagonistc with them for no particular reason. The girl really likes the spotlight. So fascination/admiration from Anthea would definitely be appreciated by Makenna. Anywho, Makenna's got alot of Hufflepuff pride and definitely does not take kindly to anyone picking on them, so Anthea would fall under the category of people she would protect.
And thank you =) I just recently changed Makenna's PB to Amber Heard. It took me soo long to find a new pb for her.
MARLON AND ANTHEA[/color] It's definitely not just you, the idea of it makes me giggle because I can definitely see that. I don't know if Anthea has an established relationship with Yori Oshiro yet, but I can see them ganging up on him for more hilarity  The very fact that she's attempting to befriend him would terrify him. He's probably thinking that Anthea's suspicious of something and is trying to out him. To be honest, Marlon has alot of internal and selfish reasons for keeping his blood status a secret. I'm not sure a vision would change all that much. But seeing that vision would make him feel bad for her... maybe enough that he does something nice once? ...And I can see that being taken as a token of friendship and snowballing from that causing Marlon flees or something like that.

Marlon might start warming up to her and then suddenly back off and being all cold. And actually, maybe, depending on how a thread between them goes, maybe romantic interests of some kind? It sounds a bit cracky in my head, but it's also not fully formed in my head... Let me know what you think.

So, yes, hello, this is Yori. The two would definitely be excellent friends, sharing the same house, year, and interests. Not being much of a hands-on person, Yori would love her hat making, and would give her cupcakes in return. The only thing I see that might be an issue is that Yori does have a habit of cursing and isn't above using violence, though only in a pragmatic sense.
However, she'd be more than willing to help terrorize Marlon. XD She's already doing so.

Anthea and Persephone
Well before we get too far into the yule ball thread, i figured i'd better post here. So Persephone is a dark, dangerous girl. I can see her befriending Anthea, making it look like she's genuine about becoming friends; try and form something like a motherly or even sisterly bond with her. She's manipulate her, make Ant her puppet before humiliating her later down the track in hopes to break the girl, and of course she'd deny any sort of action cause 'friends don't do that to one another'. I was thinking we could use the yule ball thread for that friendship to first form and then simply continue bulidng it for a while. Add/edit/delete.
